Everyone get ready for my thesis this year, ‘how the chronicles of narnia: the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe (2005) awakened questions in me that literally nobody else cares about’
#no fr i have so many questions about the actual world of narnia#i’m happy to accept that all the animals were either made by aslan or accidentally got in from another portal somewhere in ‘our’ world#which is canon in the narnia universe#but i have other questions like: was aslan always a lion? or did he have another form first before he settled on lion?#did aslan create the centaurs and fauns etc? or did they come in from another universe too?#how many human rulers has narnia had? because they can only have got 3 from the family aslan put in at the end of magician’s nephew#like three at the MOST including a regency#but surely there have been others if ‘narnia was never right unless a son of adam or daughter of eve was on the throne’?#also#who is out there giving the prophecies? the centaurs?#we only ever hear of the adams flesh etc one?#yeah the centaur at cor and corrin’s birth said cor would save archenland but that’s a specific future reading rather than a prophecy#anyway i’n having lots of thoughts and questions about this book series which was probably not meant to be thought about this deeply#the chronicles of narnia#the lion the witch and the wardrobe

Queen Susan the GENTLE for a REASON. She looks intimidating, her hands are rough and calloused from all the archery and fighting, but they're as soft as a feather when they touch your skin, when they cup your cheeks. God.
Hello wifey! Just wanted to drop in a request for a Chronicles of Narnia headcanon. Specifically dating Susan and being a Fawn (like Mr. Tumnus)? It would make my day <3
Hello, my darling wife! Why do you come up with the absolute BEST requests??? Like they're always so easy to write! 🦋
𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐟𝐚𝐰𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐞
⤷ female & ambiguous race reader
ᴹᵃˢᵉʳˡᶤˢᵗ
SFW
✦ First seeing Susan when it was her and her sibling’s coronation.
✦ You were Tumnus’ good friend; growing up together. However, because of the White Witch’s reign, you went into hiding with the rest of your family
✦ When the evil was conquered, you and Lucy became close friends. She wanted to know all the Narnians personally. Yet Susan was busy learning as much as she could about Narnia’s history
✦ Showing the Pevensie’s all the secrets about the forests. This helps with defense and battle strategy
✦ Susan definitely smells like Lavender and Angelica
✦ You’re a very lively Fawn; curious, adventurous. You and Lucy get along so well.
✦ That’s how you and Susan officially met -
✦ Lucy had brought you to the castle, wanting you to meet her siblings. She has such a soft spot for you that she never wants to leave your side
✦ Susan was going to chastise Lucy for being childish, but Edmund reminded her that Lucy was the reason they were here in the first place
✦ Bonding with Susan in nature; as Fawn you’re most at home when you’re near earth. Meaning the woods/forest, grassy plains, water, etc. Anything to do with the natural world
✦ Gaining Susan’s full respect when you teach her about things. Like Narnia’s history, or different creatures and how they co-exist. She loves to learn and understand. So when you educate her ... she finds it incredibly endearing ...
✦ Her being so so soft with you once you get together. She treats you like a flower. Her hands are so delicate when they touch you. She always wants to know you’ve had something to drink and eat
✦ She gives off such mum energy > she would definitely run after you making sure you’re healthy and intact
✦ Doesn’t let ANYONE talk down to you
✦ Taking her to meet your family (she wants to meet them in their home, so they’re comfortable)
✦ But then once they get to know her, she invites them to the castle
✦ Lucy absolutely ADORING your relationship with Susan!!!
✦ Slow dancing with Susan in the candlelight
✦ Forehead touches; leaning your heads together
✦ Peter being wary of you, but once he got to know you he liked you. I think he just wants someone good enough for his sister
✦ Edmund REALLY likes you. I think he would be in an atonement period since the White Witch and he doesn’t want to kick up a fuss
✦ Asking for Susan’s help when one of your siblings get into trouble
✦ Training in swords, daggers and bow & arrows with the Pevensies’.
✦ Relationship tropes/dynamics:
↬ ‘Chaotic w/ a soft spot + Normal but also chaos enabler’
↬ You thinking Susan hates you but she’s deeply in love with you
↬ ‘Mum friend + Reckless asf’
↬ Opposites attract
✦ (Also I don;t want ANY Edmund slander!!!!!!!)

I don't know if it's become more common lately or just grates more after years in academia, but I genuinely dislike the whole "this wildly popular and enormously influential work is fun and it's fine to enjoy it, but there's no need to fool yourself into thinking it's genuinely good and actual Art."
Thanks for the permission, perfect stranger, but I don't get all that invested in things I don't think are good, no matter how conscious I am of their flaws.
I really do think Lord of the Rings is, by and large, a beautifully-written and well-constructed novel. The idea of respecting its trailblazing qualities but insisting that Tolkien is objectively a poor novelist or weak prose stylist is not actually my perspective on it at all. I have criticisms, some more serious than others, but do I still think it's a great work of art? Yes. I think Tolkien is actually incredibly skilled stylistically and shifts between registers and styles in a way that I find really impressive. The obvious point of contrast for me is the Narnia books, which famously he disliked, but which I enjoyed well enough as a kid—Aravis was one of my favorite characters growing up (and she still rules!). But the shifts between registers of style in the Narnia books feel so forced and artificial to me next to Tolkien's far more elegant and controlled handling of shifting registers in The Hobbit and esp LOTR.
I actually feel pretty similarly about the Star Wars original trilogy (blasphemy to some, lol). I think The Empire Strikes Back is, despite occasional misfires, really truly brilliant artistic cinema. I recently watched Flash Gordon, which has similarities of genre and inspiration and came out the exact same year as ESB, and as enjoyable as it is in, uh, realizing its own artistic vision, there's no comparison to ESB. I've seen reviews that can't resist the urge to get in digs at Star Wars even while calling for re-evaluations of Flash Gordon and other 80s schlock (even Starcrash!) and it just seems an absurd degree of snobbery to me, all the more in the context of cheesy movies that owed their existence to Star Wars taking tropes and genres seen as fun but essentially unserious and making beautiful films out of them.
I've even experienced this "it's enjoyable and influential but not great art" snobbery with works that are generally well-regarded. In grad school, other students were genuinely taken aback that I thought Pride and Prejudice is truly one of the greatest novels written in the eighteenth century and one of Austen's best novels. I'd encountered and been annoyed by the whole "oh, a truly discerning, sophisticated taste will prefer Persuasion or Emma" thing, but it didn't even occur to me that it would be at all controversial for me to think P&P is a spectacularly brilliant novel, all the more in the context of its time. But I've encountered quite a bit of discomfort with the idea that P&P is actually great art and not just enjoyable wish-fulfillment in an accessible style. And meanwhile, I'm like ... no, I really do think it is superior in characterization, structure, pacing, style, and cohesion than most English-language novels of its era, including several by Austen herself.

‧₊˚✧ ❛[ when i'm alone ]❜
━━━ .°˖✧ requested by @lokotrona11 ˚₊ ⊹
ft. peter pevensie x f! reader — the chronicles of narnia
╰₊✧ peter meets a bookworm who makes life in london a bit more bearable┊1.3k words (prt two coming soon)
setting: england after the golden age contains: exposition, first meetings, strangers to friends, minor blood & injury & mentions of fights
➤ author's note: the very first narnia request i received!! there will be a part two that’s further into their relationship and includes more of the request, so please look forward to that (it will be better than this one, trust me, i just thought this meeting would be cute)!
to say adjusting to life back in england was difficult would be an understatement. although it was nice to see his mother again and the familiar landscape of where he grew up, it doesn’t change the fact that it was a complete accident as a result of them exploring during a hunt and going back towards the wardrobe’s tunnel in nostalgic curiosity. all of the siblings would be lying if they said that home had the same magic spark that narnia did with the gray skies and the nauseous smell of pollution, but at least they had the wonders of modern technology here like lightbulbs rather than wax candles. it was even a shock for them to remember that they are no longer the only humans in the world, that animals didn’t talk anymore, and that mythical creatures like centaurs and griffins were only real in fiction. however, the most difficult change for peter by far was the fact that he was no longer the king of a fantastical land, instead he was now some nineteen-year-old boy who wasn’t taken seriously and was often told to go off and do literally anything else that isn’t meddling in adult affairs. it’s common knowledge that he was always very mature for his age since he’s constantly looking out for the younger ones, but it was such a drastic change for him to already be acting like he was in charge of everyone after just a few weeks in the countryside and even wondered what the eccentric professor must have taught him for him to come back acting all high and mighty.
he’s tried so hard to go back to being a normal boy, yet he struggles to hide the regality in the way he acts and the air of superiority he holds. the other former royals are used to his behavior even before being crowned, but soon he found himself isolated from others his age no matter how close they were previously and getting into physical fights with anyone crosses him. he was no longer used to holding his head low when disrespected and now that he’s had a taste for being held in high esteem, he would no longer tolerate it and was now known as a troublesome person whom most people steered clear of.
although his family was concerned for him, peter didn’t seem to have cared less about how quickly his reputation plummeted and he spent his days as a loner. he often found himself exploring the city’s largest library instead of playing sports or getting a job since no one wanted to hire a rebel, reading through overly complicated books about portals and other dimensions. he knew that science wouldn’t be able to explain the phenomenon that he experienced since it was magic, but studying up on the subject made him feel a little bit better that there were other people around the world exploring the subject.
the entire section dedicated to this field of knowledge was in a far corner quite a ways from the entrance, a dusty little space a tad bit darker than everywhere else, and never had a soul near it which made it the perfect place for him to brood and be alone for the most part. the only other person he saw there occasionally was you, someone he only saw through passing within school hallways and heard about receiving academic prizes all the time. while classes were out, he fully believed you had already read all the books in the building. you were there from the moment the sign was flipped to “open” until the moment the librarian told you it was closing time, never thoughtlessly roaming around since you always walked with purpose knowing exactly what you were looking for, and often seen carrying books that towered over your head threatening to tilt over.
despite seeing you every single day, he never really had the chance to talk to you. you seemed so… untouchable… like you didn’t have the time or place to spare for people who weren’t in your schedule. he wonders if he used to appear like that to others back in narnia when he was rarely approached by anyone who wasn’t one of his siblings, but at least he had the excuse of being a high monarch— what was yours? it was the first time he found himself curious and thinking about something else that wasn’t his former life.
turns out, peter’s chance came to him when he least expected it and when he was in his most vulnerable state: freshly bruised and cut up after a fight with a gang of middle schoolers over stepped-on toes. he’s landed himself in this situation countless of times yet still never learns his lesson to leave it alone before it escalates. fortunately, he got to witness the satisfying conclusion of the leader getting dragged away by his mother, but he was really the one with the egg on his face when he barely managed to get in a single punch while he ended up with a busted lip. to say he was pissed off was an understatement, but frankly, emotions that weren’t anger or longing didn’t come to him much anymore. he didn’t want to get a scolding from his family about he should have been more careful again so he wandered back into the library to take care of himself in his usual corner, unwittingly catching your eye on his way and leading you to him.
neither of you said anything when you walked up to him with a first-aid kit in hand as you used your eyes to ask for permission to patch him up and he simply nodded to grant it, the silence being more tense than awkward. you wrapped bandages around his aching knuckles, applied ointment to his wounds, and uttered nothing but a “hold still” when he hissed in response to the sharp pain of hydrogen peroxide on his lip. he didn’t even feel your skin against his, just feather-light touches that tickled him slightly as he intently looked at you while you were focused. he’s never seen you up close before so he took the opportunity to study your features, slowly realizing that he developed a crush on you at some point and immediately straightening his posture to act like he wasn’t staring when you glanced back at him.
“you’re… the guy who’s always reading about different dimensions, right? your name is... peter?”
“yeah… that’s me.” he's surprised that you knew anything about him at all, much less his name and the books he was reading. considering that you were always in your own little world, it meant that you paid more attention to your surroundings than he originally thought.
“have you visited any other realms lately?” your tone was serious, but the absurdity of the question made it sound like a joke.
“you wouldn’t believe me, it sounds ridiculous.”
“really? i’ve heard all kinds of tales, i doubt it would be even close to the worst one.” you weren’t sure why you were the first to start the conversation when you never cared for your peers or what they had to say before.
“well… it all started when we left for the countryside and my youngest sister wanted to play hide and seek…” he wasn’t sure why he was telling you about the wardrobe and narnia when he refused to open up about it to anyone other than his siblings, but it felt right to do it. at best, you’ll believe him and he’ll have someone to talk to. at worst, a cute girl will think that he’s crazy.
neither of you were quite sure about the reasons behind this conversion, but perhaps there didn’t need to be one as long as it felt like the right thing to do.
request [ I didn't find your requests so I'm writing to you here 😅 I wanted to ask Peter falling in love with a bookworm (they only see each other in the library in the last hallway and she's shy and all that) (in the second movie) in London, as if she were the one capable of removing his anger for a while and Peter felt calm with that little girl. (If you write smut with +18 at the end or just fluffy, whatever you choose) ]

f/ovember questions that aren't 𝓮𝓶𝓫𝓪𝓻𝓻𝓪𝓼𝓼𝓲𝓷𝓰
AKA: Things you'd ask a normal person in a normal conversation about relationships. for any of the besties out there who are perhaps nervous or put-off from roleplaying this month because of the cloying questions we tend to be asked
practice reblog karma 🦢 lest I bite you
What's something s/o does that drives you absolutely off the walls? Do you have a pet peeve that they always forget?
Like 1... but reversed! Does s/o ever get frustrated with you for petty reasons?
Sleeping habits - does anyone tend to run cold and need more blankets? Does this annoy the other? Feel free to elaborate on other tendencies ^_^
How are you guys in public? Is it easy to get tasks done, or do any of you tend to be scatterbrained or anxious? How do you work around those problems?
Adding on to 4, where do you usually go? How often? Feel free to be vague ... would be a shame to doxx your location in Narnia or wherever ☺
Any plans for the future? Children, pets, houses, etc. The usual! Or maybe you've got something more uncommon in mind?
Does s/o like the in-laws? Do you like YOUR in-laws? How are the congregations on holidays? Found family welcome also! (Free space if for some reason you're both friendless orphans)
Anything you like to watch together? What about something you like to watch but s/o HATES? & do they put aside their grievances for you? [TV centered, but video/board games & internet channels included depending on setting! go crazy]
Quick ― favorite & least favorite holidays? What about something you wouldn't normally celebrate that's a staple now because of your partner? Or maybe you used to recognize a holiday but no longer do?
How far along would you say your relationship is? & how long have you been together?
What was your first impression of s/o vs. your current opinion?
Before your relationship, what conflicts were in the way of getting together? Were they self-imposed or from another person or establishment?
Have you ever lied to s/o? If so, was it major or a simple white lie? Give us the Details ...
Would you say you ever imagined your life going this way, or was it completely out of left field?
Do you enjoy answering questions? ☺
❄️ Free space ― give us a random thought, anecdote, opinion, anything!

(Context below poll)
Tolkien is very specific about what happens to some of his fantastical species after they die, but not all.
Naturally, he goes into the most detail about the elves, and elven post-death circumstances are a pretty big plot point in the Silmarillion.
Paraphrasing from Tolkein Gateway:
Death was unnatural for Elves; Ilúvatar [omnipotent god] intended for an Elf's spirit and body to remain united forever, but this design was disrupted by evils of Melkor [Sauron's boss]. Should an Elf die, its spirit would be summoned to the Halls of Mandos [god of dead]. Elves could refuse the summons, but this would suggest that they were tainted. Elves who went to the Halls were typically given the opportunity to be reincarnated after a while into a body identical to the one that died (unless the elf was very bad). An elven spirit could also choose to remain disembodied.
By the time of the Third Age (when Lord of the Rings takes place), elves could only reincarnate in Valinor (where Frodo sails off to at the end of RotK) and could not return to Middle-earth after doing so.
Dwarves also have a cool afterlife, as expanded on in the famous fanwork Sansûkh. Paraphrased from Tolkien Gateway:
The Dwarves held to a promise that Ilúvatar [omnipotent god] would hallow them and adopt them as his Children. After death Aulë [smithing god who made the dwarves] cared for them, gathering them to the Halls of Mandos with the other Children of Ilúvatar, though in halls set apart. After the Last Battle they will work alongside Aulë in the remaking of the world.
Men, on the other hand, were given the "Gift of Men." Again paraphrasing Tolkien Gateway:
After Men died, their spirits were gathered in the Halls of Mandos, and then departed for a destination unknown even to the gods. Whereas all other beings, including the gods themselves, were bound to the world and its fate, the Gift freed Men from this destiny, allowing them to shape their own lives as they wished.
Most Men, for some reason (the elves blamed Morgoth), did not see this as a very good gift.
So where does this leave hobbits? Tolkien's books don't say, though he did write a letter one time saying that hobbits are basically just short Men. However, it is also the case that he shoehorned in The Hobbit to fit with his Silmarillion world (thus giving us the Lord of the Rings trilogy), so if you want to disregard this bit of ephemera you are completely within your rights to do so.

Peter Pevensie as a Boyfriend ⚔️🛡️
⋆ ˚。 ⋆୨sweetpandorabox୧⋆ ˚。 ⋆
⋘ 𝑙𝑜𝑎𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑑𝑎𝑡𝑎…⋙
Warnings ⚠️: Slight mentioned of sexual themes and some spicy stuff.
Dating this incredibly attractive, loyal protector and brave older Pevensie sibling could include:
👑👱🏻♂️🏰
He's really protective of you and often expresses how much he loves and cares for you, so much so that if anyone even tries to come close to hurting you by words or physically he won't hesitate to eliminate them.
He's quite a gentleman and believes that he has to take care of all the ladies in his life including his Mother, Susan, Lucy, and especially you. He would offer his arm when the two of you are waking together, he would bow to you when he greets you and he never lets you carry anything, Peter has that timeless chivalry personality about him.
Sword fighting lessons with him only for it to turn into an extremally spicy make-out session after, because of the build-up of sexual tension over time and the fact that he always wins with him pinning you down on the floor without even trying.
You are the only one that can calm him down after he blows up after fighting with his sibling or is stressing out about ruling Narnia.
He would see you falling asleep nearby the entrance of the castle waiting for him to return from a patrol ride around Narnia which he finds to be the most precious thing, then he'll pick you up in his arm and carry you to sleep in his bedroom and not your own one.
He calls you cute nicknames like Darling, Pretty, Lovely, or Princess.
Likes when you call him Pete, Darling, Sugar, or Your Highness (He likes when you call him that because it sounds so seductive coming from your mouth).
His love language is probably Acts of Services, sure he loves a good PDA once in a while and all the things you both did together as a date, but he's a natural server and protector. He shows his love by protecting you, making sure you're fed well and healthy, or the little things like helping you take off your gown, brushing your hair for you, or helping bathe you.
Ask for your input before making a big decision because he trusts you and relies on you for support especially if he has to debate it with his siblings first.
Horseback riding around the beach in Cair Paravel to watch the sunset, but the both of you would ride and share one horse with you sitting and wrapping your arm around his torso, while he leads the horse.
Whenever he sees you doing something and looks about busy he comes up behind you, and turns you to face him by spinning you around by the waist before caressing your cheek softly and then pulling you into a sweet yet passionate kiss.
He requests you specifically when he's hurt/injured after a battle or some tough fight training days to take care of him, like cleaning his wounds, being there to kiss him, holding his hand to lessen the pain, or performing some oral sex on him if he's in the mood (😏) instead of choosing his other loyal servants.
The two of you are always smiling around each other before it erupts into a fit of laughter out of nowhere ending up with you and Pete on the floor dying.
Lucy and Edmund would catch the both of you kissing or showing PDA somewhere then they'd look at each other and get grossed out saying "Eww" or "Get a room you two, there's a billion inside this castle", then you and Pete would somehow share the same mindset and start teasing them by kissing even more, or exaggerating the PDA until both Lucy and Edmund can't take anymore and run off, giving you and Pete a good laugh after.
When it comes to sex he's very gentle with you making sure to put you first before himself, despite how much you drive him crazy with lust because of how attractive you are to him, so it's mostly slow, passionate sex but he does love giving you a good hickey mark all over your neck and chest area or when you give him a bit of ear play to get him turned on.
He's actually quite funny intentionally most of the time and can be quite sassy as well which you find hilarious especially when he's annoyed, hungry, or frustrated.
Let's you wear and steal his white long-sleeve tunic for bed instead of proper pajamas because it looks adorable on you and fits slightly larger.
He falls for your cute puppy eyes every time, even if he says no multiple times or refuses your request at this moment it always works and he always says "Oh come on don't do this to me Darling" but then you'd plead and he would sigh before smiling and boom he says yes.
He never goes to sleep without solving a fight and he wouldn't let you sleep either until the both of you have a makeup kiss.
He doesn't seem to be the jealous type on the inside because he hides it so well from you, but when he sees someone staring at you for more than 5 seconds he rolls his eyes and kisses you out of nowhere.

From my Wattpad!!
warnings: sexual allusions, not proofed
IN NARNIA
- your sassy King - Edmund is sooooo possessive of you - Between Caspian, Peter, and all the other horny Narnian boys, he has to be - Sitting by the water and reading together is your favorite thing - Dressing in his blouses... - ...and him taking them off of you;) - You love running your hands through his hair - He slaps them away but - He secretly loves it - Him sneaking into your bed chamber at night - Wrapping his arms around you - Or you sneaking into his after a looong day of "kingly" work - Calming him down after an argument with Peter or while negotiating - Sex after too - Watching him train - He is sweaty... - and tries to hug and kiss you - You try to fight it, - But you always end up losing... - Maybe on purpose - He loves kissing you - Anywhere - And everywhere - He gets a little scandalous too - He has definitely made you squirm under the dinner table a few times - You scolded him that night - "Edmund! You will never do that again!" - "Well, did you enjoy it Darling?" - You didn't reply which only aided in the boosting of his ego and the wide grin on his face - Lots of kissing in the corridors. - And let's just say Peter is very annoyed at how thin the walls are - He has a pretty dirty mind but he won't pressure you into doing anything - He keeps his fantasies to himself - Until you find out... - Shushing him when he whispers dirty things into your ear - Yelling for you in the middle of a battle - "Y/N!" - "Edmund! Are you hurt?" - "No, Love! Just wanted to say I love you!" - "You're an idiot!" - He's usually stressed after a battle - Naturally, you "calm" him down - Not to mention how damn good he looks after a battle... - messy hair, his dark eyes flaming, sweaty, a little bloody, pale skin flushed - you trace his freckles while laying in bed <3 - hugs from behind - he also loves your hair - mostly when it's down - when you're talking on the shoreline? he will reach behind you and take it down - making out? your hair is coming down - even in battle one day. - Your hair was in a loose knot on top of your head - "FOR NARNIA!" - Peter had led the rest of the Narnian soldiers into battle - Before you could go with them, Edmund pulled you back - "Stay safe. If you die, my Love, I'll kill you." - He kissed you quick and ran off into battle - It wasn't until he'd gone that you realized he had taken your hair ribbon with him

- def started as academic rivals - you'd constantly catch him looking at you... and vice versa - he surprised you by asking you to the school dance - you surprised him by saying yes - when he saw you in your dress, he swears his heart stopped - he kissed you that night and from then on, your heart was his - still academic rivals, tho - the two of you sit in silence reading all the time - in the library - in his room - at the park - you form a lovely relationship with Lucy, oftentimes going to the Pevensie residence to spend time with her and not Edmund - His siblings love how you bring out his happier side - His nice side too - You like to watch him study - His lips pull into a small pout and sometimes he whispers aloud and you think it's the cutest thing - whenever one of his sweatshirts goes missing he calls you - "No Ed, I don't know where it is." - But then you show up at his house wearing the same sweatshirt he was asking for - "You cheeky little liar." - He's shyer in the real world about PDA during the beginning of your relationship, something about being in Narnia gave him more confidence - When you're walking together he will link his pinkie with yours - whenever you kiss his face, cheeks, nose, and forehead, a deep blush crosses his face - especially in front of his family - but any moment you are alone, his Narnian confidence comes out - His kisses are sweet and gentle - Until they aren't... - "Darling, you have to be quiet, don't want anyone to catch us, now do we?" - if you call him "king" or "your majesty" in the real world, you're done for - "say it again" - he goes feral - he loves it when you read to him - the way you get so concentrated on the words and so into the story - his favorite memories with you are when his head was in your lap, watching you intently as you read him your favorite books - for some reason, edmund is always cold??? - but that's ok because it means he always needs you to warm him up - snuggled up together by the couch? yep - sitting on his lap while reading? been there. - your body draped over his while watching movies? done that. - he is so touchy as time goes on - he always has to be touching you - is sad when you aren't touching - you read a lot, sometimes indulging in "spicy" books, which naturally, you hide from him - one day, he walks into your room while you are reading one. - "Hello, darling." - you snap the book shut, a blush already fanning your face - "what are you reading there?" - "nothing..." - your attempts to keep the book from him fail miserably, as he is a strong soldier and king - you hide your face in your hands as he reads over the pages, grinning - "Darling, what is this?" - you are mortified - he pulls your hands from your face and you look at his cheeky, handsome face - "are you reading porn?" - you scream into his chest while he laughs - he pulls your face to his and kisses you - "would you like me to do that, my love?" - he's a book boyfriend FOR REAL FOR REAL - pet names pet names pet names - darling, my love, princess, m'lady, sweetheart. - he's just so... - cheeky - and the sass follows wherever he goes

Writing Notes: Fantasy World Building
BEST PRACTICES
Don’t Go Overboard
You don’t have to define every single element of the world to create a vibrant one.
Make Sense Scientifically
Suspension of disbelief can suspend only so far.
It’s important that the elements in your world are at least theoretically possible.
Verify the scientific possibility before you add it to your world.
Research answers to your scientific, geographic, and cultural questions when worldbuilding.
Draw Your Own Map
Even if you don’t show it to your readers, your map can help you figure out what’s what. Use your map to build a vision for where the characters are going throughout the story.
This is helpful in epic adventures where the landscape may change.
A relationship map can help you see clear relationships between characters.
Alternatively, you can develop a map that shows the characters or objects and their magical abilities.
WORLDBUILDING ELEMENTS
Time
Many fantasies take place in the past because of our collective bias against magical elements in the present or the future.
If you could compare the era of your story to one on earth, when would it be? In the present? In the past? In the future?
Perhaps your story is tied to an actual historical event, such as The Chronicles of Narnia.
If you choose to allude to a historical event, this will partially dictate how you describe the world.
Location
What is the setting of your world?
Does it take place in a parallel universe?
Is it on another earth-like planet?
Does it occur in another dimension?
Population
Who lives in your world?
Are they humans, aliens, animals, insects, hybrids, monsters?
What is their population?
Where do they live?
Do they live in small villages or large cities?
Do they live in houses? Tents? Communes?
Society
How does your collective population relate to each other?
What is the basis for society?
Is there a class system? Who is rich? Who is poor?
How do they relate to each other?
Can one go from poor to rich and vice versa?
What is the family structure? Are couples married?
Are they monogamous? Polygamous?
Do they have children?
How many children do they typically have?
What are people’s values? What is sacred?
What is universally accepted as right and wrong?
How do they deal with old age?
What are the gender roles?
History
History is important for your protagonist’s backstory.
So take time to develop the history of your world.
You can go as far back as the beginning of time, or as recently as a few hundred years.
There should be a series of cause and effect that creates the world in which your story shows.
What is the history of your fantasy world?
What created the current circumstances of the story?
What is the catalyst for change?
Create a timeline of key events to document how historical events led to current circumstances.
Laws and Government
What are the relevant laws in your universe that the characters must obey?
What is the political environment?
Who are the controlling parties and why?
Is there a struggle for independence? Is there growing dissent?
Very important: how does magic affect these laws?
Magic
Every fantasy contains some element of magic.
That’s what sets fantasy apart from any other literary genre.
Because magic is so central to your fantasy story, you must consider it when building your world.
Magic, just by its very nature, will shape your characters and direct their actions. So, with that in mind:
What type of magic will you include in your story?
Are there wizards? Genies?
Is it mental magic?
Science-based magic, like time-travel?
Or supernatural, like superheroes?
Who has it? Is magic only available to a select few?
If so, how do they get it?
Is magic banned? Is it revered?
What are the rules of magic in your world?
You have to create rules that make sense, based on what you know of the society and its rules.
And, just as important as creating the rules of magic are following those rules.
Daily Life
What do people do to pass the time?
What do they eat? Drink?
Do they exercise?
What type of clothing do they wear?
Does clothing reflect their values or their social class?
How are they educated? What do they learn in school and why?
Sentiment
How do your characters feel about the world in which they live?
What do people agree with? How do they differ?
Religion
The prevailing religion of the society at large will affect your characters’ actions.
Are they monotheistic? Polytheistic? Atheistic?
What is their folklore?
What do they believe? What do they value?
Physical Attributes
What does the world look like in a physical sense?
What are the natural resources?
What type of plants grows there? What type of animals?
What is the atmosphere?
How does the world smell?
What does the night’s sky look like? Is there night?
What is the climate?

The Sanguinarch isn't a bad villain or a cliched one.
The only thing that his writing suffers from is the fact that a lot of the finer points in his characterisation were easily missed or flew over our heads due to Arknights's ambiguous writing — I also had to do some deep lore diving to the Arknights Terra Wiki to be able to piece a more coherent picture of him, something more profound than merely 'he's just a mindless psychopath and a remorseless war criminal'.
And it strikes me what he was actually meant to be, in Chapter 13, where he was the main villain.
He is, for lack of a better word, an inverted Jesus figure.
There's a lot of things supporting this.
First, we have the crown of thorns (actually the thing that got into this rabbit hole) that his chibi, boss sprite wore in his second phase. His artist, Chuzenji, also drew him with the same thing. The crown of thorns's symbolism is obvious. Jesus wears one, including his depiction in the famous movie, The Passion of the Christ. Though, it's probably not that special on its own; but it's only the tip of the iceberg.
Then we got the meaning of his name, a portmanteau of a Hebrew word and an angel's name —— 'Dook', meaning pierced, and Ariel, an angel whose name literally means 'Lion/Hero of God', at least according to the Terra Wiki —— and things are starting to get intriguing. Put together, 'Duq'arael' means 'Pierced Lion/Hero of God'. The angel's name aside, the lion is an animal that symbolised 'God's strength and command', one that was closely related to God, to the point where C.S Lewis, author of the famous Chronicles of Narnia, use Aslan, a lion, as a stand-in metaphor for God.
And yes, the deeper you go into Sarkaz lore, the more you discover that it was heavily inspired by the lore of Abrahamic religions in real life, although I won't delve too deeply into this or start drawing parallels to real life events, since it's an extremely sensitive issue. But my point is that Arknights has always been deeply influenced by religious mythology and symbolism, and Duq'arael's name goes deep. It hinted at us on his true character——how he views himself.
(Him killing his own elder brother, who was an 'ideal' King of Sarkaz, was also a clear allusion to the story of Cain and Abel, and ties in with the occult theory that Cain was the first vampire in history, but that's an aside. Though this also serves to strengthen the point that Arknights has always been deeply influenced by religious mythology and symbolisms.)
Back to the topic, I would also argue that his design cleverly reflected this hidden allusion. His uncanny colour palette—white, red and black—could be interpreted as a reversal, so to speak, of Jesus's darker robes and dark hair (as he was so often and popularly depicted to be). His entire design screams vampire nobility, but there's something uncanny about it, which was highlighted when we were first introduced to him in Chapter 10 (or was it 11?). He was described as an ordinary-seeming nobleman, one who wouldn't look out of place speaking about current politics in Victorian telly.
More than that, though...although he wears black and red, 'traditional' vampire colours, his main colour is obviously white. White hair, white clothes.
Both the absence of colour, and the colour of purity, innocence, and rebirth.
Duq'arael is also the 'Prince of Blood'. Amiya, during their confrontation in Chapter 13, asks him what does blood means to him. As a concept, as a symbol——a meaning. Now his answer here isn't that important (although it's curious that he equates it with suffering, especially that of the Sarkaz's), but there's a hidden symbolism bomb here: Blood symbolised passion. When someone angers us, for example, we say that it makes our 'blood boil'. When our lover arouses us, or when we were afraid during a horror movie, we say that it gets 'our blood racing'.
In line with this, Dukare's goal——what he hopes to achieve by sacrificing so many people, including his own people——is to give the Sarkaz, who had been robbed of not only their homes and lands but also their entire identity, who had been brutally dehumanised and discriminated against for centuries, salvation.
At least in his perspective. He spilled a single drop of blood for them, a drop of pure Teekaz blood, in order to give them this salvation as well as to once again summon their original sin in the form of the first Originium. He even goes so far that this is their curse——the curse of being a Sarkaz, the curse of Originium. The implication here is that he wanted to SAVE them. But because he's twisted, because he's 'inverted' Jesus, he accomplishes that by sacrificing others on the cross instead of himself. A selfish 'saviour'.
He also blesses the Sarkaz with his blood, granting them strength. Once more: misplaced salvation.
But wait, there's another layer to this.
Duq'arael's the ONLY one who saw himself as such. He has a saviour complex despite his pretenses to be indolent, and obviously, due to the crimes and sins he committed, others saw him merely as a murderer, a monster, and a blood purist. Someone who can't let go of the past, and is still heavily fettered by it——someone who blatantly refuses to let go.
He, after all, killed his elder brother out of disappointment. He also testifies that he saw several other Kings of Sarkaz come and go during his long life, and with each passing one, he grew more and more disappointed, more and more disillusioned. More and more jaded. That is why he wanted to kill Amiya too; obsessed with slaying her, even. Not because he's blindly obsessed with murder in itself (perhaps not only because), but because he's past the point of saving. Which was his tragedy, and one that Amiya and Logos mourned after they pushed him off the Feranmut.
This motivation of offering salvation is also likely why he agreed to help Theresis take Londinium. He had alluded to it himself; his ultimate goal or even his motivation wasn't to rebuild Kazdel, especially not as the shitty mobile city that most recent Sarkaz remembered it as.
No, he wanted to 'save' them. To offer them salvation; to return their birthright, which is the entire world of Terra, to them. Back from the hands of the Ancients and the Elders, outworlder races who once wrested it out of their grasp and then proceeded to give them misery for centuries. Millennias, even.
Again, that is his role——The False Saviour.
I don't get why Chapter 13's title was 'The Whirlpool That Is Passion' at first, but then I realised that HG was being sneaky. They couldn't possibly call it 'The Passion of the Vampire', which would be TOO on the nose, so that's why they call it that:
The Whirlpool (symbolising Dukare being twisted by his past and his disillusionment) That Is Passion (the Jesus symbolism). It's very clever.
In addition to all of the above, on their 4th Anniversary art, his artist drew him with a white lily. The flower of (you guessed it) purity, innocence, and most importantly, rebirth. It does work with his image as a vampire, plainly speaking, and the Master of the Crimson Court who's obsessed with the purity of the blood, but I'd say it's more than that, since the white lily is also Mary's flower. Mary, as in the Mother of Christ.
So, no, The Sanguinarch isn't a bad villain. While he is undoubtedly a war criminal (wouldn't say that he's misunderstood, since he's an absolute dipshit nonetheless), he's not 'just' a psychopath.
#sanguinarch arknights#arknights#sanguinarch#duqarael#dukare#chapter 13 spoilers#chapter 10 spoilers#religion mentions#or maybe i'm just seeing too much into things#i love this dipshit though and i love analysing my faves so#don't you dare say he's a bad villain

I grew up in a haunted house and I didn’t notice
This is not a story about boo ghosts or shadow people. If it were, I would have figured it out, at least.
When I say "I grew up in a haunted house and I didn't notice," you have to understand that there was a lot going on with this house. It's not the house that I've written about currently living in, the one with newspaper and soda cans stuffed where insulation should have been, the one with constant home-repair calamities. No, my childhood home was a crumbling pile of red brick built in the 1920s. Narnia was in the backyard, and the back deck was my ship on the high seas. The house was surrounded by banks of flowers, lilies and irises and roses, and it was full of creepy shit I didn’t even blink at. I loved it.
It didn't look haunted, or even particularly historical. It was almost disappointingly normal—I lived on a street with a house that had a turret, for God's sake. No, it was just old and small. There's a lot of pre-Depression houses getting torn down in these suburbs; my town has been awash in construction for the last 20-30 years as people buy up cheap old houses, raze them, and squeeze mini-mansions onto their tiny lots, all to get their kids into a good school system. It gives me a chill to think of it, but yeah, that might happen to my childhood home someday, small and plain and unassuming as it is. My pirate ship has already been renovated into an extra bedroom, the new owners told us.
When we moved into the house in 1983, though—it had clearly been renovated in the '60s or '70s; the wallpaper was hideous, and the upstairs bathroom was carpeted. Shag-carpeted. The house had closets the size of shoeboxes; my bedroom, the one with the peach wallpaper, didn't even have one. The room down the hall had four, including one cut into the wall, under a slanted ceiling tucked beneath the roof, that looked like you'd stash a witch there when the Salem HOA came by. There was a fan in the attic—well, first of all, the attic was just one more room on that upstairs floor. It was directly across from the (carpeted) bathroom, and that room (lit by one ominous, hanging bulb) was just a short corridor with storage spaces on either side, hidden behind big sliding doors. And the fan at the very end was built into the brick outer wall of the house. Like our house was functionally open to the elements, between the blades of that fan. I have no idea what the fuck anyone was thinking when they built that, and how the fuck anyone kept the wildlife out.
We certainly couldn't. Squirrels lived in the roof and bowled with acorns. It was like listening to a pinball machine at night. I have an abject horror of cockroaches because sometimes an adventurous one would fall off the ceiling in the middle night, onto me, while I was trying to sleep. (Like, try to imagine that—you’re awakened from a dead sleep by a vague, paper-light skittering sensation up and down your arm. When Pennywise comes to me, he will show up as a cockroach.) But wait! There was more! We had herds of crickets in the basement that felt compelled to jump at people. Sometimes there were centipedes! Those were polite enough to only come out at night. In the dark.
By the way, that basement was totally unfinished. I don't mean that it just had exposed beams or concrete walls. I mean that the basement had uneven, mostly shoulder-high masonry walls, and then it was just open on three sides, extending under the rest of the house. Like just dry red Alabama earth and rocks and grainy dust tumbling around in this vast, dark—it wasn't even a crawl space, a child could have stood upright in it. This child? Oh fuck no. And the washer and dryer were down there. I had to creep down there, down a rickety plank staircase, past the staring dark caverns of my own basement, through a low-lying fog of aggressive crickets, go BEHIND THE STAIRCASE, and then do my laundry there. There was also a firewood pile by an old fridge, and only God knew what was under that.
None of this was haunted. All of this was completely normal to me. This isn't even the haunted part.
So let's go back upstairs. The ground floor was lovely, homey, fine except for the time the living room ceiling fell out due to water damage. Upstairs was where it got weird. I've talked about being mildly bullied as an unknowingly autistic child; home was where I felt safe. In my bedroom upstairs, I had all those My Little Ponies and my easel with all my crayon-drawn fantasy maps and all the stories I wrote. It didn't matter if roaches fell on me in the deeps of the night; home, that's where I was happy. So when I was a young kid and I felt like a vampire was following me down the hall at night, I assumed I was just being silly.
I was aware of vampires in the 1980s as, like, the Count on Sesame Street (ah ah aaah), and Count Chocula, and Count Duckula on Nickelodeon, and the Bunnicula books that I loved. As a kid, I wasn't aware of movies like The Lost Boys or Near Dark, or any vampires that weren't broad caricatures of the Bela Lugosi look. I loved Spooky Stuff—I'm from the Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark generation—but vampires didn't scare me.
But when I had to get up in the middle of the night to go down the hall to the (carpeted) bathroom, I always had the sensation that something was following me as I was going back to my room. Something Dark. Not terribly tall, maybe not even much taller than me. And somehow, I visualized this deep in my mind as a vampire. Kind of a silly one, you know, the white-tie formal wear and the ribbon medal and the cape. I wasn't desperately scared that a Chocula was behind me, but I knew that I needed to get back to my room quick, and, at all costs, I must never look back. I must never look over my shoulder or else I would See It, something silly massing in the dark—and, brother, Eurydice would have been safe with me. Never stop running, never look back.
And I'm sure all kinds of kids develop little superstitions like this. It's probably a developmental thing, like having an imaginary friend (which I also had at some point). Even as a seven year old, I was thinking, This is silly, I'm just making it up (but not looking back costs nothing. Not looking at monsters is free). And I continued to think this, until I laughingly told my younger sister this at Sunday Family Dinner one night. We were both in our thirties at that point. And my sister started crying. Like just staring at me in wide-eyed horror, her eyes filling with tears. And she told me that when she had a bedroom upstairs, there was Something in there.
I won't belabor the exact setup, but at one point, we got it into our heads that we'd like to switch bedrooms, just for a change. I was 14, and I moved to her ground floor bedroom with the flowered white wallpaper and the big bright windows, and she went upstairs and took my room with the peach wallpaper and the cool slanted roof-ceiling (and no closet).
There were three other rooms on that upper floor (and I promise you this is important):
1) One was a small, windowless room that we used as a playroom, with weird cerulean blue carpet and sky blue wallpaper, one dim light fixture, and a little door in the wall that led to dark nothing. Like, you opened it, and you were confronted by a mass of pipes and machinery and just enough space to edge leftwards in the dark. Towards what? Fuck if I know, I sure as hell wasn't going in there. I think it was supposed to be for access to the HVAC system. I don't know. It was fucked. But when I was a young child, I had cooked for my baby dolls at our plastic play kitchen right next to that door, nbd, because apparently you put me in a creepy situation and I just go, yeah, we live like this now.
(I had not ever felt alone in that playroom, but I had also been too young to articulate that. Of course I wasn’t alone! I was with my dolls!)
2) The next room was the (shag-carpeted) bathroom. It had a big mirror over the sink counter, very typical, facing a vertical mirror that was behind the bathroom door. I've heard two mirrors facing each other can create a portal for the spirits, if you believe in that kind of thing. I once did the "Bloody Mary" thing there and nothing happened, idk.
3) The next room was the bedroom with four closets, where an older family member lived with us, and when she moved out, my sister moved to that room.
?) The fourth room, not really a room, was the dark, narrow attic.
So, Grownup Family Dinner at my current house, a few years ago: my sister told me that Something had lived in the Four Closets Bedroom with her. I'm not sure if she actually said it lived in the little Hide A Witch closet or if it was just kind of... ambient. I don't know what it looked like, or if we're talking about ghosts or Something... Darker, or what. I don't think she's entirely sure herself. She doesn't like to talk about it in detail a whole lot. What I know is that she felt it was there, and she had chosen that room to sleep in as a young teenager, and not a lot of sleep was to be had.
"I never really sensed anything, like… demonic," I said, puzzled. "Just the Chocula that followed me." And my sister was like, ARE YOU LISTENING TO YOURSELF??
"What about Rebecca??" she sputtered.
Oh, yeah: Rebecca. (A name I've changed at my sister's request.) I had a friend as a teenager who liked to mess around with ouija boards (AM I LISTENING TO MYSELF?), and we did a session at her house one time wherein we discovered that the ghost of a girl? young woman? named Rebecca lived (so to speak) at my house, and she had been murdered by her boyfriend. How we arrived at these specifics, I don’t remember, but I had told my sister about it because I thought it was interesting, and also, I was kind of a shit. My friend also decided she had her own ghost named Dusty. It was all one big [citation needed, footage not found], but it was also part of our family lore.
So, many years later, my sister told me that she had long felt—without knowing about the Chocula—that there were two spirits on the upper floor of our childhood home: the dark one, and a younger, lighter one. I sat there at the kitchen table and thought about it.
"You know, I did kind of feel like there was someone up there, when I was a kid," I said. "Sometimes I would go into the attic, and it felt scary, but like there was something there watching that was okay? Like having a lamp on in a dark room, kind of. It’s weird, because it’s just a feeling, I remember it very clearly, but I didn’t really question it or wonder."
I thought a bit more.
"Oh yeah—there was also the time I just really felt compelled to go color in the playroom by myself at midnight, and it kind of felt like someone was there."
My sister stared at me, saucer-eyed, pale. Like I'm not sure I had ever seen anyone "go white" until that moment.
"Yeah, I just woke up and had this idea—I was maybe nine years old? That it would be super cool to do stuff at night when I was supposed to be asleep, so I got a flashlight and went into the playroom—"
"IN THE DARK??"
"Well, yeah. If I had turned on the light, someone would have seen it and told me to go back to bed. So I set this flashlight on the floor and got out the crayons and colored in one of my coloring books a while. Maybe the She-Ra one?"
Thinking back on it now—of course I was sitting right by the scary door. I think we all, you and I, saw that coming.
"And I had the same feeling I had in the attic. Like someone was sitting on the floor across from me, friendly, I guess I would say female, and it was cool. Like, it was chill."
My sister looked like she was about to pass out.
"I don’t really know how I could sense this then but not really say anything about it, or even think about it, until now," I said, shrugging. "I’m probably imagining it."
I’ll throw in here that one of the dolls I had in that room was a Raggedy Ann. Like, just for extra hilarity, Wee Cleo is hanging out, coloring, at midnight, with a ghost and a fuckin’ Annabelle.
So: My sister is adamant that our childhood home was haunted. And apparently I was entirely blasé about it (maybe possessed?), but then, I was dealing with a lot of suburban wildlife. My problems with that house were far more immediate. And crawly. Nor can we prove that the house was haunted—I certainly haven’t looked up any homicide records—and I don’t think that Vibes, In Retrospect, are valid evidence on my part. But I find it interesting that I knew what she was talking about. I find it interesting that I was like, "Yeah, that was chill." And I find it interesting that when I went away to college, and I lived in a dorm suite where sometimes I’d be the only person there while my roommates were out,
I remember noticing that it was the first time I’d ever felt alone in a room.
Who was that imaginary friend I'd had?
--
I asked my sister to read over this, partly because I wanted to see if she’d be willing to describe the Something Dark.
"Oh, I’ll tell you anything you want," she texted back, "but that’s not how it happened."

This is your reminder that alter programming/trauma-based mind control is a Satanic Panic conspiracy theory. The stuff you might have heard about gem programming, ribbon programming, Greek letter programming, etc., specifically comes from Fritz Springmeier and Cisco Wheeler, two far right conspiracy theorists who claimed, among many other things, that:
A global satanic conspiracy intends to enthrone the Antichrist in the year 2000. The push toward gay rights is part of this plan.
Said global satanic conspiracy has been practicing trauma-based mind control/alter programming for thousands of years.
The Nazis' eugenics program wasn't actually about eugenics. It was actually a front for researching mind control, and that Project Monarch was based on research conducted by Dr. Josef Mengele (whom they claim was an "adept in Caballistic magic.")
Fairy tales, fantasy media, movies, and television shows are full of deliberate programming. Some (but not all) of the media they implicate includes The Wizard of Oz, The Chronicles of Narnia, Alice in Wonderland, Disney films in general, A Little Princess, Star Trek, Star Wars, E.T., Tiny Toons, The Simpsons, Frankenstein, Bewitched, and Labyrinth.
Basically, anything that doesn't fit the most narrow-minded picture of Good Wholesome Christian Entertainment is is part of the Illuminati's plan to corrupt the youth and lead them down the patch of witchcraft and into satanism.
They claim, and I quote, "drugs, torture, hypnosis and MPD all work to enhance memory" and "most slaves have some photographic memory capability." They also claim that systemwide photographic memory can be created through brain stem scarring.
Babies can learn to read by six months old with the use of subliminal tapes.
Direct quote, "Vice-President Al Gore is a vampire and carries a briefcase of blood with him."
Hillary Clinton is an Illuminati Grand Dame and programmer.
Adrenochrome is a secret black market drug. (Adrenochrome isn't a drug at all.)
Fritz Springmeier and Cisco Wheeler's work is basically a modern mishmash of antisemitic conspiracy tropes and witch panic tropes. Fritz cites fucking Edith Starr Miller as one of his sources.
So why do people "remember" TBMC/RAMCOA? Because they've been coached into it. You can coach people into remembering all kinds of things, as we can very easily see by observing the starseed movement, where people remember past lives in nonexistent places like Lemuria.
If alter programming was a real thing, literature on it would have to exist. I'm talking like, actual manuals that describe in full detail how to conduct all of these rituals and whatnot without killing the victim. The first people who claimed to have experienced this claimed they were programmed back in the 50's, which means it's been seventy years. Not a single manual on this has turned up anywhere; not even in the most depraved child molesters' homes or laptop computers.
RAMCOA is repackaged SRA is repackaged antisemitism and witch panic, end of story.

Thinking about The Horse and his Boy hours
And also the Narnia tv show being made.
Idk if they intend to do every single book as a season, but if they do adapt The Horse and his Boy, and we all know there is a delightful cameo from the Pevensie’s, who will have since grown older.
All I’m saying is a cameo from the og movie cast would hit so hard???
I feel like one of them doesn’t appear in that book but that can easily be rectified. Or alternatively if one of them can’t make it, they can be the one that is missing. But how good. I know William Moseley has talked to the others, including Skandar, who has apparently said he’d be down to return one day in some capacity, and all I’m saying is the opportunity is RIGHT THERE.
It would be as equally fulfilling to me as the Tobey/Andrew cameo in Spiderman No Way Home. I would actually cry seeing the og movie cast in the final version of them we never got to see.
