Hello i'm back after 3000 years to rant about cynonari bc cyno's second story quest had me FEELING THINGS and i need an outlet. Not that they haven't been rotting my brain consistently for almost two years but this quest... it's just. So much

The way cyrus tells cyno to invite tighnari along for dinner out of nowhere like he's just part of the family, the camping trip with 4 people (not counting paimon since she's basically one of the traveler's limbs) and only 3 tents (i thought tighnari and collei might share a tent but tighnari was alone in his tent when he woke up after cyno had already left so.....), tighnari's one track mind about catching up with cyno the moment he realizes the situation, not even hesitating about following him to the desert which is the bane of his existence, and then glueing himself to his side, cyno saying he's more than just the general mahamatra or a vessel for a god and tighnari smiling so proudly and saying "exactly", the story of hermanubis confirming that he was a tighnarian which makes their lives historicaly intertwined and gives off big soulmate energy, and then cyno looking at tighnari with a little smile after hearing it and saying "i like this story", their little hideout at the akademiya where they used to go to to chat and watch the sunset..... and then there's this

I'm free from my holiday family duty so of course first things I do are answer some asks THEN DRAW LYAH AND FEM! ROBIN IN BLUEY STYLE because why not?

Their breeds are from an ask, so long ago I can't dive back down my ask box to look for it anymore, but I do think it's accurate to my taste! what I was talking abt earlier. we have fully looped back around and away from feminism, societally, whereas before it was very Feminism 101 to acknowledge that many parts of existing as a woman in a misogynistic society are painful and upsetting. not that being a woman is Inherently Negative in a bubble. but that living on this earth, in the conditions we're living in, is hostile to women. and that gender is a performance. that many of the Staples Of Femininity as accepted by society are things that you have to create and perform and mold artificially and aren't inherent, that COMPLAINING about day to day difficulties of existing as a woman is something that you're allowed to do. acknowledging these basic, again, feminism 101 things, that something tied to womanhood is more time consuming or more expensive or more dangerous Because Of The Problems. does not CREATE the problems. that when women complain about having to perform femininity, they are not, in fact, oppressing themselves. the call does not come from inside the fucking house. saying that you HAVE suffered does not fucking equate that you believe you SHOULD have suffered.

like I could talk about this for hours. how braindead and one-dimensional the Takes are getting. "being a woman is looking in the mirror and going fuck yeah i'm a woman" damn. I guess any negative experiences you have by living in a misogynistic world... are your fault if you are anything but positive? "you don't actually want liberation" we've fully gone back to telling feminists "you WANT to be oppressed" when anything negative about our society is pointed out. it's not real until I say it out loud, I guess, and then I'm actually the one who caused it. if anybody expresses any unhappiness with how they're treated or the status quo or the language and culture surrounding womanhood and femininity. they've created it, right that second. they invented it just now. it wasn't a problem before somebody complained, right? also trans women aren't braindead zombies who just follow the flow of whatever cis women around them say. I am pretty fucking sure they are very much aware of pain, and are MORE than aware of the swirling torrent of misogyny and standards of femininity than anybody else. actually. and I am pretty sure someone complaining on tumblr that being a woman means always putting on a performance is going to make someone change their mind about transitioning. also "performing femininity" as a necessity to being treated well as a woman is not fucking NEWS to your Local Trans Woman. I AM PRETTY SURE SHE GETS THE CONCEPT. using trans women as a scapegoat for this braindead perspective on gender politics is spineless, meritless, and pathetic.

Recovery was hard.

Over the next few weeks, Starline had to lean on Rivet for a lot of his basic needs. Eating, walking, even putting on his bathrobe, as one of his arms had been paralyzed in the fall and was now useless to him. He was also suffering from newfound, dizzying headaches, which only added to his low spirits.

It was humiliating and humbling to have to accept her help, especially considering the guilt over all he had done. He kept expecting at any moment for her to pack up and leave him to his own devices.

But she didn’t. Throughout it all, Rivet was kind and patient with him. She helped soothe his pains, gave him space when he needed it, and didn’t disparage or poke fun at him in his lowest moments.

Before this, Starline would have never believed that anyone could forgive him for what he had done. That the fate that had been delved out for him at his and Eggman’s final confrontation, was one that he deserved.

But as time continued to pass, he began to see that, even at rock bottom, in his least flattering moments, someone still valued him as a person. That, despite his egregious mistakes, Rivet was still willing to help support him. To work with him to try and make things right.

And where pain, guilt, and emptiness had once filled his entire being… now Starline was slowly beginning to see light.

The light of hope, love, and acceptance.

A/N: RAAAGH I am so incredibly in love with my Redemption AU and Starline’s recovery throughout the final arc. He goes through such lows after being defeated by Eggman, but he’s still able to be forgiven and built up again by someone who cares and believes in second chances.

This trope has always been a weakness of mine, and I melt every time I think about it. ;w; Don’t mind me being sappy in the corner here fjdhfdh— This entire arc is filled with just wholesome. 😭
