sirius and regulus whose parents are part of a satanic cult and sleep in their respective best friends' houses every night they have a ritual (sirius is away most of the time either with friends or alone somewhere, regulus acts like he knows nothing about the cult and/or doesn't absolutely disagree with it)
regulus who notices remus doesn't want him to come home on full moons and is scared he attends the cult meetings too
sirius who agrees to sneak james into one of the ceremonies, just for him to see reg and go "you have a sister???"
regulus hiding the fact that he's trans from his parents because he knows they need him to be a girl in order to be sacrificed (he tells james tho, then remus and finally sirius)
sirius meeting regulus' best friend (falling in love of course) and obsessing over keeping him out of the family to protect him
regulus losing his v card with james and then having to sacrifice himself but the blood having become "impure" leads to a supernatural disaster biblical apocalypse type
ummmm yeah idk

“linger” - Jegulus microfic - @into-the-jeggyverse - 904 words
“stories” - 25 Days of Jegumas - Day 18 - @noblehouseofgay
Regulus is waiting outside the Winter Festival with Sirius and Remus.
“Stop fidgeting.” Sirius slaps Regulus hand away from where he’s fidgeting with the hem of his jumper.
“He’s late.” Regulus mumbles.
“He’s two minutes late. Calm down.”
“What if he saw me, turned around and left?” Regulus asks nervously.
“It’s not a blind date, Reggie. He’s very aware of what you look like.” Sirius rolls his eyes.
“But he’s never seen me on a date. What if he saw how I look on a date and decided—”
“Regulus.” Remus cuts him off and nods towards the parking lot.
Regulus turns around and his nerves increase tenfold when he see James and by the time he stops in front of them Regulus feels like he can’t breathe.
“Hi!” James smiles brightly.
“Hi.” Regulus whispers.
“Sorry I’m a little late, I was here… I was… erm… I…” James trails off rubbing the back of his neck nervously.
Sirius snorts. “He was nervous and has been sitting in his car for the last 20 minutes.” It’s not a question and James doesn’t correct him he just blushes and glares at Sirius.
“Sirius, leave him alone.” Remus tells him. “Should we go?” He asks and pulls Sirius into the festival without giving anyone a chance to answer. Regulus and James fall into step behind them.
It’s only quiet for a moment before Sirius turns around. “So, should we start with baby pictures or embarrassing stories from his childhood?” He asks James with a cheeky grin and Regulus’ eyes grow wide with panic. “Oh, calm down, Reggie. Like he hasn’t already heard embarrassing stories from your childhood.” Sirius smirks and Regulus freezes.
Remus grabs Sirius’ shoulders and turns him back around. “Leave them alone.” He hisses in Sirius' ear as they continue walking.
Regulus and James wait a moment longer, then followed behind them. “I haven’t heard embarrassing stories about you.” James tries to reassure him and Regulus huffs disbelievingly. “I really haven’t. Honestly, he would probably be embarrassed for you to find out how much he gushes about you. He’s only ever told us how great you are. It’s actually kind of intimidating.” James clears his throat. “It could erm… could probably make some guys feel a little insecure and really nervous to be…” James trails off when Regulus stops and looks at him.
“You… you’re nervous?” Regulus asks quietly, and James give him a shy shrug. Regulus narrows his eyes incredulously and James purses his lips to the side and looks away sheepishly. After a moment, he looks back at Regulus with an unspoken question in his eyes. They exchange several glances with varying emotions having a bit of a silent conversation that basically says ‘yeah, we’re both nervous.’
They both seem to relax a little and they start walking again. But as soon as they catch up, Sirius turns around.
“Okay, how about some embarrassing stories about Prongs?” Sirius asks, wiggling his eyebrows. “And I definitely have embarrassing pictures.” He pulls out his phone and James groans under his breath.
“Sirius.” Remus snaps. “Leave. them. alone.”
Sirius fusses a bit but Remus pulls him forward and James continues behind them. Regulus stops to linger at one of the booths and after a moment, he feels James come up beside him.
“We shouldn’t have done this.” Regulus whispers.
“Oh.” James says sadly.
“Not this.” Regulus gestures between the two of them. “That.” He waves dismissively in Sirius’ direction. “I don’t know why we thought a double date would be smart.” Regulus sighs.
“Because he wouldn’t let me take you out otherwise.” James says simply.
“What?!” Regulus’ head snaps to look at James.
“Yeah, he said I could only ask you out if he came with us.”
“I don’t need a chaperon, James.” Any remaining nerves are instantly replaced with irritation. “And what do you mean, let you? Like he needs to give you permission?”
James’ nerves also seem to be slipping away, and have been replaced with a cocky, relaxed smirk that only irritates Regulus more.
“What?” Regulus snaps.
“I agreed to a double date for our first date, but I also told him that’s all he gets. He’s not allowed on any other dates unless specifically planned or invited. No randomly showing up where we are. No ‘oh, that’s where I left this’ if we’re hanging out in the living room. No barging in or sabotaging us in any way… and he said ‘okay’.” He shrugs then pauses for a moment. “Plus, I was going to ask you out either way, but this way, any future dates will be Sirius-free.”
Regulus’ irritation is slowly melting away and he narrows his eyes at James.
“You think there’ll be future dates?” Regulus raises an eyebrow with the hint of a smile.
James smiles back and steps into Regulus’ space. He slowly lifts his hand and tucks a curl behind Regulus’ ear.
“Only if you want there to be.” James answers with a bright smile as Regulus leans into the touch.
“Sirius! Leave them alone!” Remus’ voice breaks them out of their moment and they look over to see Sirius holding up his phone.
“What? I need embarrassing first date pictures!” Sirius defends himself and looks at his phone with a huff, “Well, that’s not embarrassing at all.” He complains. “That’s sickeningly adorable.” James grins and Regulus leans into his side a bit, letting James’ arm wrap around his shoulder. Regulus gives his brother a small, smug smile. “Ugh, you two are going to be insufferable, aren’t you?” Sirius whines.
“Sirius.” Remus rolls his eyes and pulls Sirius away again. “Leave them alone.”

Prompt 31 - First Misunderstanding
@wolfstarmicrofic January 31, word count 296
“Why is it always fucking Sirius?!” Remus growled loudly at Lily. “I swear all of my problems are because of Sirius,”
“Calm down, Remus, it can’t be all that bad,” Lily tried to soothe him, but to no avail.
“If it wasn’t because of stupid Sirius, my life would be so much happier right now,” Lily gasped, staring just over Remus’s shoulder. Remus turned to see Sirius standing behind him. His lip was quivering, and he looked absolutely devastated. “Sirius,” Remus started, but Sirius turned and ran out of the library. “Damn it! Lily, I’ll see you later.” Remus grabbed his things and rushed after Sirius.
It didn’t take long to track him down. Sirius was not very fast. “Sirius, wait!” Remus called as he jogged the remaining distance.
“Just leave me alone, Remus, you clearly don’t want me around,” Sirius said sulkily.
“No, Sirius, you don’t understand—”
“You could have just told me, you know. I would have left you alone,” Sirius sniffled, dragging his sleeve across his face to try and hide the tears that had started to leak from his eyes.
“Sirius,” Remus shook his head and pinched the bridge of his nose. “Sirius, we were writing out our star charts and I put the Sirius star in the wrong place again,” Sirius’s head snapped up.
“You did it again? Remus, how can you keep putting my star in the wrong place?”
“Sorry,” Remus apologised.
“No worries, just maybe don’t curse my name next time,”
“I won’t,” Remus promised and hugged Sirius to him. Sirius rested his head against Remus’s shoulder, as they walked back up to Gryffindor tower. Remus was glad they’d sorted that little misunderstanding out. He’d hate for Sirius to think he actually hated him when the opposite was true.

Lily should have survived.
“Harry was saved by his mother’s love-“ Let me stop you right there.
I present to you: James Fleamont Potter.
You’re telling me that James didn’t love Lily and Harry enough to evoke the ancient love magic that Lily saved Harry with?
Mr. “Had an ego the size of a lake but a heart to match it?”
He loved both of them so much that he literally died trying to give them a chance to escape and that wasn’t enough?
I don’t buy it.
The only semi-logical explanation I can come up with is that he didn’t have his wand and maybe you can’t do something like that wand-less but did Lily have her wand?
Even then we’re talking about a guy who literally became an illegal animagus at the ripe age of 15.
He also loves and cares for people so deeply and it was LOVE MAGIC.
Look me in the eyes and tell me James Potter couldn’t have just saved BOTH of them without his wand.
Exactly, you can’t.
Honestly I could go on about all of the reasons James and Lily dying didn’t even make sense.
This is just another thing that makes me question why they died the way they did.
Them dying on an order mission would’ve been more realistic. There were just too many plot holes in them dying in Godric’s Hollow.
In conclusion, the ending of the first war didn’t make sense. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
Edit:
Guys this post is not that serious I just mean that everything about what happened that night and the explanation for all of it felt like a stretch and kinda vague to me 😭
Even with the stuff about James not having a choice. Like yeah Voldemort didn’t verbally give him the option to back off but James still made the choice to try and hold him off.
Also James was a Pureblood and Voldemort made it known that he would spare them if they didn’t fight him because his whole thing was blood purity.
So like the “Lily was given a choice” still feels so vague to me.
Also Voldemort making the promise to Snape feels weird. Snape asked him not to kill Lily but Voldemort said that he wouldn’t as long as she didn’t get in his way. And Lily did get in his way of killing Harry so he didn’t break that promise by killing her.
Yeah he probably could’ve just knocked her out or something but he still didn’t break any promises.
And the whole reason Snape joined Dumbledore before the end of the first war is because he didn’t think Lily would just let Voldemort kill her son. He didn’t make an unbreakable vow or anything so Snape knew that Voldemort would probably kill Lily.

Aparecium - April 1st - word count: 129 - @wolfstarmicrofic - Happy April Fools!!
Remus’s book lay forgotten as he inspected the blank sheet of parchment in his hands.
Sirius had just dropped it in his lap while walking by with no explanation nor context.
What was he up to now?
Remus flipped the parchment over, looking at it this way and that- until it clicked.
“Aparecium,” he muttered, watching as ink bloomed across the page.
Look in a mirror, the note read.
Remus sighed, going back to his book- until he noticed a strand of hair in front of his face. To his utter shock, it was Gryffindor red- surely it was Sirius’s doing.
Grumbling, Remus turned his hair back to its normal color, which released a mini shower of fireworks, spelling out April Fools, Moony! in shimmering gold.
April Fools, indeed.

how do u mark a fic as read?????????? I don't have that button! what is this sorcery???!!!?? :O
ahh okay sorry it's literally a month late 😭
a lot of people saw this post and apparently didn't know the mark as read feature existed (which ??? i'm 95% sure y'all will recognise it once you read this post)
so anyways. say you're like me and are scrolling for a very specific fic but during that scrolling you pass a fic that also intrigues you. but you don't wanna read it yet. you also don't trust yourself to open a new tab and not lose it so you use the mark for later button!
you'll see it at the top of any fic (example below)
Tumblr media
click this. and boom! fic has now been added to your mark for later list. which can be found under history and marked for later on your account
Tumblr media
but if you're anything like me you probably won't actually use that list because you switch hyperfixations far too often
it does come in handy still though because when (read: if) you return to this ship/fandom and are yet again scrolling for a good fic it can help you identify fics you've read before or not. usually i'll see something that sounds interesting, open it, and either it will be bookmarked already or it will have this new button at the top:
Tumblr media
mark as read my beloved 🥰 means this fic caught my eye in the past but i never got around to actually reading it. so yay! new fic to read!!
(unless, like in the original post, i somehow either forgot to then mark the fic as read after reading it or for some reason never bookmarked it and then i trick myself into thinking i've not seen it 💀)

Choices - Wolfstar - @taylorswiftmicrofic - 354 words - AO3
Sirius has believed in free will for as long as Remus has known him. “People make choices, Moony,” he whispered to him late one night, the pair of them cosy in his four-poster at Hogwarts. “They are capable of making good and bad ones. The thing that sets the good and bad people apart is regret, and guilt. You should have seen him when I found out, Regulus doesn’t regret joining them at all. He made his choice.”
Remus thought Sirius was one of the best people there was. He was smart and funny and kind. He would go out of his way just to make Remus feel comfortable. Yes, he made poor choices sometimes. Bullying Slytherins one of them, however noble their intentions were.
The first time Remus ever considered Sirius to not be the angel he made him out to be was at the end of their fifth year. When Sirius told Snape about the shack, and Remus almost killed him, and James, as a result of his reckless behaviour. Remus forgave him almost immediately - why would he want to destroy his friendship with one of the only people who doesn’t care about his condition? He’s a monster after all, and that night was just another reminder of how dangerous he is. A part of him though, very, very deep down, will never forget the moment he found out what happened.
Staring at the empty fireplace in front of him, his tea on the coffee table gone cold, Remus remembers that ‘prank’. He remembers everything Sirius done and claimed was a mistake. He remembers reassuring his boyfriend time and time again that he was a good person. That his family’s mistakes and decisions are not his own.
Remus’ eyes flicker to the newspaper resting next to his mug, with Sirius’ photo plastered on the front page. It doesn’t matter what you’ve been through together, you can’t trust anyone. Remus is alone in the world again, his joy and will to live destroyed, and it’s all Sirius’ fault. And his own, for believing in the man he came home to each night.

Bless the Telephone
The clock on the wall ticked past midnight, its rhythmic clicking the only sound in the dimly lit flat. Remus sat by the window, a cup of tea long gone cold in his hands. The moon was a thin sliver in the sky, casting faint shadows across the room. He sighed, running a hand through his already disheveled hair. The war was taking its toll on all of them, but the distance between him and Sirius felt heavier than most nights.
The telephone on the table rang, startling him out of his thoughts. He stared at it for a moment, the shrill sound cutting through the silence like a knife. Who would be calling at this hour? He set the teacup down and reached for the receiver, his heart pounding inexplicably.
"Hello?" he answered, his voice rough from disuse.
"Moony." The voice on the other end was warm, familiar, and instantly comforting. Sirius.
Remus felt a smile tug at the corners of his lips despite himself. "Padfoot. Do you know what time it is?"
"Course I do. That's why I called. Knew you'd be up." Sirius's voice was light, teasing, but there was an undercurrent of something softer, something that made Remus's chest ache.
"Couldn't sleep," Remus admitted, leaning back in his chair. "Again."
"Same here," Sirius said. "Thought I'd bother you instead of staring at the ceiling all night."
Remus chuckled softly. "You're not bothering me."
There was a pause, the kind that felt heavy with unspoken words. Remus could hear Sirius breathing on the other end of the line, steady and reassuring. It was strange, how something as simple as a phone call could make the distance between them feel smaller.
"I miss you," Sirius said finally, his voice quieter now, more vulnerable.
Remus closed his eyes, letting the words wash over him. "I miss you too," he replied, his throat tight. "It's... hard, being apart like this."
"Yeah," Sirius agreed. "But it's not forever. We'll get through this, Moony. We always do."
Remus smiled faintly, though Sirius couldn't see it. "Optimistic as ever, Padfoot."
"Someone's got to be," Sirius said, and Remus could hear the grin in his voice. "Besides, I can't let you turn into a complete pessimist. Who'd keep me in line?"
"You'd be lost without me," Remus teased, though the words held more truth than he cared to admit.
"True," Sirius said easily. "So you'd better stay safe, yeah? No heroics."
"Pot calling the kettle black," Remus shot back, but there was no real bite to it. They both knew the risks, the sacrifices they were willing to make. But hearing Sirius's voice, even through the static of the phone line, made it all feel a little less daunting.
They talked for hours, about everything and nothing. Sirius recounted a mission he'd been on, his voice animated as he described narrowly avoiding a run-in with Death Eaters. Remus told him about the book he was reading, though he doubted Sirius was actually listening to the plot details. It didn't matter. What mattered was the sound of his voice, the way it filled the empty spaces in the room and in Remus's chest.
Eventually, the conversation lulled, the comfortable kind of silence that came with knowing the other person was still there, even if they weren't speaking.
"Moony?" Sirius said after a while, his voice soft.
"Yeah?"
"I love you," Sirius said, the words simple and sincere, like they were the most natural thing in the world.
Remus's breath caught in his throat. He hadn't expected it, not like this, not over the phone. But the words settled over him like a warm blanket, soothing the ache in his chest. He smiled, his heart swelling with affection.
"I love you too, Padfoot," he replied, his voice steady despite the lump in his throat. "More than anything."
Sirius let out a soft laugh, the sound tinged with relief. "Good. Just wanted to make sure you knew."
"I know," Remus said, his fingers tightening around the receiver. "And you should know it too. Always."
They said their goodbyes, promises to stay safe and see each other soon hanging in the air. When Remus finally hung up the phone, the flat felt a little less empty, the night a little less dark. He sat by the window for a while longer, the echo of Sirius's laughter and his quiet "I love you" still ringing in his ears.
The war wasn't over, and the road ahead was uncertain. But for now, they had this—a connection that not even distance could break. And as Remus finally drifted off to sleep, the telephone resting quietly on the table.

Including:
Remus with a silver allergy
Good friend Sirius
First year Wolfstar acting cute
Teasing James and Peter
Summary and tags under the cut!
Summary:
“I- uh. I didn’t mean to overstep, so please don’t take it that way.” Remus nodded, clearly confused. “Well, I- well I noticed avoiding silver must be kinda hard for you, seeming it is nearly everywhere you look.” Sirius fiddled with the wand in his hand, searching Remus’ eyes for a sign this was unwanted. But Remus mostly seemed curious. “So I though, what if there was a spell to protect you from it? Then I started searching, but it didn’t exist. Which is really dumb because you can’t be the only one who’s allergic to something touchable-” Sirius stopped rambling when he saw Remus’ face. His eyes were big as plates, his mouth a little open, cheeks pink.
Or
Sirius notices Remus keeps a noticeable distance between them, and when he finally discovers the cause, he’s determined to fix it. After all, what else are friends for?

Obliviate
mary macdonald microfic - canon compliant
(quoted choices by messermoon for dumbledore's first line)
The first time she thought about it was when Marlene died.
It had been months since she had used magic and years since she had stepped foot into Diagon Alley. Actually, after Hogwarts ended, the only time she had seen a wizard or a witch who wasn't one of her friends was in St Mungo's, when Lily had given birth to Harry.
The problem is, once you think about something, there is no unthinking it. The more she tried to get that idea out of her head, the more she thought about it. And as things got worse, that little voice in the back of her mind became more and more oppressive.
"What if you just forgot about it all ?"
Forget about the bullying in school, the glares, the insults, the double standards, the spells behind her back. The death eaters who had already killed so many of her friends. The attacks on Muggles she felt were directed against her. Knowing who had done it, knowing why, and having to hear the explanations the muggle news gave. Knowing the truth.
Knowing became too much. And she understood why they all wanted to fight -- James Potter wouldn't be James Potter if he wasn't risking his life to make the world a better place -- but she just. Didn't have anything to fight for. The wizarding world didn't mean as much to her as it did to them, and she didn't see why she would fight for a place where she was so unwelcome.
So she thought about it. Forgetting everything. But there was too much to forget. And Lily was still here, Sirius was still here, and they needed her. She couldn't be that selfish and let them down.
So, she only thought about it. As something to calm herself in the middle of the night, the kind of horrible thought that weirdly brings you comfort, thinking "if everything goes to shit, I'll just forget about it."
She just never imagined it would get that bad.
Because after Marlene died, Dorcas went a bit crazy. And then she died. And then Lily disappeared. When Harry was 6 months old, her and James went MIA. Sirius wouldn't tell her anything, they mostly talked about Remus, and the more they did, the more Mary wondered how they would ever come back from that. But she never wondered if they would come back from that. I mean, they were Sirius and Remus, for goodness' sake.
And then.
And then.
And then Lily died. And James. And Sirius had betrayed them. And he had killed Peter. And the world fell apart.
She's in Dumbledore's office with Petunia Dursley, ready to leave, when Dumbledore says :
“You will leave Harry Potter where he is. You will not speak to him, you will not write to him, you will have no contact with him at all.”
She feels like she's in a dream. She's outside of her own body, watching herself in that office, with that man. Right now, she doesn't see a war hero, or a rebel, or a headmaster : she sees the reason why so many of her friends are dead. No, not "so many" : all of them. Because the two who are left might as well be.
"He can't..." Her voice sounds weird, like she's hearing it on tape. Like it's someone else speaking. It's completely void of emotion, as well. It catches her off guard. But maybe she doesn't have anything left to feel. "He can't know I exist ?"
The old man smiles, all trace of coldness gone. "I'm glad we understand each other."
"Then I want you to obliviate me".
The voice in her head isn't a voice in her head anymore. It's not an intruder telling her "you could forget about it" ; it's her thinking "I'm going to forget everything". It's her saying it out loud.
"I beg your pardon ?"
"You heard me. You want me to leave Harry alone ? That's the thing I ask in return." Her voice is mechanic, daring, like her emotions are turned off. Usually, that's not a good thing, because it's even more of a mess when you turn them back on. Hopefully, this time, she won't have to go through that.
"I don't understand. What are you asking ?"
God, she had forgotten Petunia was here.
"Obliviate. It's a spell that erases your memory." She doesn't bother waiting for Petunia's reaction, turning her attention back to Dumbledore. "You said I'm reluctant to being involved, right ? Well, this is me not getting involved. With any of it, actually. I don't want to remember the war, I don't want to remember how it ended, or why it started, I don't... I don't even want to remember your stupid school. I want to forget that magic exists."
A surprised gasp comes out of Petunia's mouth, and then the mask is back on, and she looks full of disdain once again. "I understand that. I always told Lily it was better to be normal than a freak."
Mary wants to tell her she's wrong. She wants to tell her that magic can be beautiful. But right now she doesn't remember why. Magic is beautiful when it's someone's magic, and everyone magical Mary loved is dead.
For Lily's sake, for all the times Mary held her while she cried missing her sister, she wants to tell Petunia she's wrong. That she loves being a witch. But she's so tired. And right now, she really doesn't.
She wishes she had someone on her side, to argue with Petunia so she doesn't have to. To jump into the fight for her.
But isn't that what they did ? Jump into the fight for people like you ? And where did that get them ?
Absolutely fucking nowhere.
"How far back are we talking about ?" Dumbledore's voice snaps her back into reality. He's looking at her with piercing blue eyes. God how she hates him. But she's also relieved, like this man is finally gonna take away some of the pain he caused her.
"Everything. Just erase everything from when I was eleven years old."
"I would not recommend that. You would wake up with ten years of your life missing, and you would start asking questions. Trying to fill the gaps."
"Can't you..." She sighs. She's so fucking tired. And more than anything, she wants to go to sleep. Physically and metaphorically.
"Can't you leave some stuff then ? So I don't wonder and get nosy about my own life ?"
"One simple way to do that would be for you to extract your memories from your brain. That way we could choose which ones..."
"For you to have them ?" She cuts him sharply. "And keep them in little bottles and look through them whenever you like ?" She scoffs "That's not bloody likely. Aren't you supposed to be a good wizard ? Like, really talented ? Can't you manage to... I don't know, make your obliviate a little selective ?"
"I could leave some memories of school, the ones that don't imply magic, but it would be very blurry. You wouldn't have much. And I can't let you keep any memories that date from after school. That would leave too many blanks you would want to fill."
She sighs. Closes her eyes. Lets that sink in.
He's going to do it. He's actually going to do it. This is it. This is where her pain stops.
What a bastard though, she thinks with a chuckle. She opens her eyes.
"It's fine. Just... Imply that we fell out of touch after school. I have a lot of memories that don't include them. I'll be fine."
"Very well. Mrs Dursley, if you would like to step back."
And suddenly, she sees everything. Like she's going to die and her whole life flashes before her eyes. All her magical life, anyways. It's like her brain knows what to focus on, in a last desperate attempt to keep it.
She's going to forget Lily's wedding. She's going to forget Harry. She's going to forget Sirius' and Remus' flat. She's going to forget Marlene's 19th birthday party. She's going to forget the trip they all made to France.
She's going to forget about Quidditch. James flying on his broom, Marlene and Sirius throwing bludgers at each other, Lily cheering them on, Remus reading in the stands, Peter with a red and gold scarf and pink cheeks.
She's going to forget how it feels to fly.
She's going to forget about potions. Lily giggling when they made Amortentia. Marlene mortified when hers smelled like Dorcas, Sirius and Remus thinking theirs didn't work because they were brewing it together.
The classes. The spells. Peter's magical chessboard, the owls, running in the Forbidden Forest, enchanting objects so they would dance, getting back at the boys and pranking them, getting drunk with Firewhiskey in the Leaky Cauldron, ...
She's going to forget Hogsmeade.
Trying to do magical make up. Sirius' magical moon phase tattoo. The first time she saw a unicorn. James' elf Minnie. The magical fireworks on New Year's Eve.
She's going to forget how it feels to cast a Patronus.
All there, in a second, she sees Lily smiling and Marls dancing and Remus...
"Obliviate"
When she comes home from university, she finds pictures of her school friends on the floor. She doesn't remember taking them out of the boxes, but she's feeling a bit light headed and really, really tired, so that must be it.
She picks up a picture of her and the girls. God, she hasn't seen them in ages. She smiles. She wonders what they're up to now. Mentally tells herself off for not having made the effort to stay in touch. It wouldn't make much sense to seek them out now, four years later.
Isn't it crazy, how you can spend your entire time with people, live with them, and then... They all went to different universities and fell out of touch, or at least that's what she assumes because right now she can't remember discussing their future, or what Lily wanted to study.
Oh well. She's ready to bet one day she'll turn on the sports channel and see Marls on TV, though she can't remember which sport it was she was really into. Or she'll stumble across a book written by Remus at the library, though she thinks she would remember if he had gone on to study Literature just like she did ?
"I really need to sleep" she mumbles to herself.
She picks up the photos, puts them back in their box, and goes to bed.

Cozy - Dec. 25th - word count: 348 - @wolfstarmicrofic - (happy holidays!!)
It was snowing outside, making the land look like a scene straight from a postcard.
Sirius and Remus were inside, cuddling in one of the squashy couches in the Gryffindor common room.
Remus was nestled into Sirius’s chest, arms around his boyfriend but somehow still managing to read a book. Meanwhile, Sirius held onto Remus tightly and watched the snow gently drift down from the heavens.
“Hey, Re,” Sirius said after a while of silence. “What do you think you’re gonna do after Hogwarts?”
“Honestly? I don’t know,” Remus answered, voice a little muffled because of the way he was tucked into Sirius. “I mean, no Wizarding places would want me, because- well, you know. I might be able to get a Muggle job, though.”
“But what if you didn’t have a furry little problem? What would you want to do?” Sirius asked.
“Ooh, well, er. I’d love to be a teacher, y’know, of magical subjects. It would be a lot of fun, and quite a few people have told me that I’m a good teacher.” Remus chuckled softly. “Dunno why, though. I’ve swore like a sailor at tutoring sessions before.”
Then, taking his head off of Sirius’s chest and looking up at him, Remus asked, “What would you want to do?”
“Ooh, tough question, Moons.” Sirius thought for a little while before responding. “If it weren’t for all of this war stuff happening, I’d want to be a Healer. Maybe Auror though, because it sounds awesome,” he smiled.
“Yeah, that does sound awesome. Say, where would you wanna go after Hogwarts? Places to live and stuff, I mean.” Remus fiddled with Sirius’s jumper absentmindedly, waiting for a response.
“I’d maybe get us a seaside cottage, and then connect the fireplace to the Floo so that James and Pete can come over, and then we can spend holidays together like we’re doing now,” Sirius smiled.
“Sounds cozy,” Remus replied drowsily. “Can’t wait to unwrap presents with you and the boys while you act like five-year-olds.”
“Oi! That’s not nice. I’m a very esteemed seven-year-old, thank you very much.”
