Thank you for the tag, @slutsons-blog! Starting a new post because I'm autistic and therefore mostly only care about the "Current Obsession" question, and want to ramble excessively as usual in that one.

Last song: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue Team: Pokemon Square because I'm currently playing Pokemon Mystery Dungeon with my daughter. Otherwise I honestly couldn't tell you. Whatever was on in my car.

Last thing I googled: the word "dependent", for spelling assistance. which is a good thing because I spelled it "dependant".

Current Obsession: it's been spn since 2016. Truly we are the Hotel California of media franchises. I did recently play Disco Elysium twice in a row in quick succession, and I follow the DE tag. I can't recommend the game highly enough.... but I can feel my Special Interest-level obsession with it fading already. Spn has never faded even a tiny bit and I wonder if it ever will.

@slutsons-blog I feel after reading that you're watching spn for the first time, that I did you a bit of a disservice with my Sam takes to you before in that I mostly talked about Sam's evolution as a character as the show goes on and very little about him from the first five seasons.

Gotta be honest and tell you that although I liked both brothers all along, I was a Dean girl until the end of s6/beginning of s7, when the balance of who gets whumped the most started shifting and my subconscious suddenly decided to switch allegiances. It's not that I liked Dean any less; my id just loves a sopping wet pathetic kitten of a man who has been sexually abused, and Sam got suddenly way more kitteny and pathetic after the Cage. So I don't actually have a ton of takes on "what to love about Sam in the early seasons". I do love early seasons Sam too--she is my beautiful baby princess--but my early seasons takes are a lot more inchoate.

I count myself lucky about my id's sudden defection though, because I think we have limited control of who our blorbos are, and having Dean as a blorbo is a tough row to hoe as the later seasons go along. You know how you noticed that in s6, Dean suddenly gets a lot more assholey without apparent reason? Unfortunately he never gets better again, and in fact keeps getting worse and worse as the years go by, until by the last seasons he is openly far more abusive to their joint child(-in-an-adult body) than John was to him and Sam. It's a realistic picture of what can happen when trauma keeps piling up on people, but it's also honestly pretty distressing, especially if he's your blorbo.

If one is in it for the ship, there's some good destiel content in the later seasons, but if you're in it for Dean, you're left either 1) dealing with the fact he's got extremely significant interpersonal problems that he never gets much of anywhere on solving and that negatively impact his chosen family in profound ways, or 2) pretending he's the same character he was in s1 and Sam is the same Sam from s1, only more boring, and Dean is just trying to put up with him because he was brainwashed by John (or ig 3- something in the middle between those two. But that seldom seems to happen in practice for whatever reason). These two versions of the show are poorly compatible, and that's how the Sam girls and the Dean girls end up in isolated silos. A few people manage to live in both, but not many.

Anyway, I feel like without the context of how Sam and Dean change in the mid to late seasons, the two fics I recc'd as Sam character studies are going to seem insanely Dean-critical, so if you haven't read them yet, you might want to wait until s10. In the meantime, the general recs are fun reads and hopefully do a good job of showcasing both characters earlier on.

Ugh, do the double standards of fandom ever really annoy you? Like the "one rule for me (or rather my fave) another for everyone else" mentality? We know full well that T*ny Stans would not have a problem with him going to any lengths to save Pepper, incl. breaking all kinds of laws and killing. And he literally does a couple of times in the movies.

Yet the moment Steve wants to help Bucky they cry foul.

The problem with Steve, in the ensemble movies, is that he's frequently positioned as someone who acts on the greater good, while willing to sacrifice himself and, at a push, people on his team. He was the one who challenged Tony about not laying his life down on the wire, and he was the one who made the call to shut the portal when Tony didn't return on time. He was also written to be quite stiff and uptight and you get the distinct sense Whedon didn't like either Steve or Thor, and wrote them to be annoying jocks...but fortunately both Chris's brought a lot of warmth to the characters.

I suspect a lot of Tony Stans didn't watch the Cap movies or if they did, didn't pay much attention. It's clear in the solo movies that Steve went to great lengths to help/save Bucky multiple times. In the ensemble movies, Bucky doesn't even get a mention until Cap 3 (yeah sorry that's an Avengers movie).

So if you come into the ensemble movie being a Tony fan, remembering that Steve gave Tony grief for being selfish and for witholding information (about Ultron), and then saw Steve "put the whole team at risk" by protecting Bucky and also not telling Tony about Howard (mind you, I'm not saying this is what happened, but this is often the interpretation from people who don't like Steve), your takeaway is going to be Steve is hypocritical. People who don't care for Bucky also takes the stance that if killing Bucky resolves the conflict then it's a perfectly adequate solution -- just as people argued about Steve protecting Vision in Infinity War was wrong.

Ultimately, I think the problem is the MCU has a lot of inconsistencies across its movies and people take away what they want from it, and a lot of Tony Stans wilfully take a negative reading for Steve.

if you haven't read the novels, yao is a new character who i personally think is an annoying brat. she holds a certain affection for lahan (as she should) but is being a parasite and leeching off of him for free. lahan calls her his freeloader, again, rightfully so. and everything about her is annoying and i'm glad lahan called out her ass <3

honestly, i highly recommend you read the LNs, anon. his banter with maomao is so fun and he's overall such an enjoyable character and he has two admirers to date (3 including me). we love him 🫶🏻

I wasn't going to say anything but at this point I'm not only disappointed and sad‚ I'm also mad.

Me and other few people got called names ("butt likers of the popular blog" even tho some of them are barely in the TDP fandom) by anonymous blogs that aren't brave enough to insult people with their main blog‚ and got piled into the anti category. Having different opinions or wanting a discord to be only positive because you don't enjoy negativity with your fave show is completely valid and not anti behaviour so I'm starting to think proud pro-shippers are just as bad as antis tbh. Kinda tired of seeing them treating you as anti the moment your opinions don't align with theirs.

I'm very happy that Jelzorz got friends that defend her! Having quality friends is important‚ I just wish they didn't insult anyone by doing so‚ you can defend your bestie and still be classy by doing so. At the same time BNF having friends that defend them is totally fine as well! Not everything is about popularity‚ you can have genuine friends you aren't a "hypocrital sycophant" for defending a friend and standing by what you believe is right. Wouldn't calling someone names over standing up for a friend would make you an anti as well? Be fr.

At first I just expressed my beliefs that leaking private DMs isn't alright but then changed my tone when certain person entered the picture because because I know how they act in online spaces and I was sick of them. (The amount of times me and other people have been mansplained by this person because they believe they are the ultimate proshipper and fandom expert can't be count with both hands.) So the moment this person joined I know what this was about. It's not only about defending a friend‚ it's about getting rid of the antis they hate and have the more highground because I swear they seem obsessed with it. With this I just wanna say not everything is what it seems.

I said and I repeat myself‚ I like both people involved here! They are both talented people that we the fandom appreciate so this is just incredibly sad. I'm inclined to one of them because my own experience with them and my own opinions. Seeing name callings and people turning against each other is just sad. I'm not gonna get mad at anyone picking sides‚ at the end of the day we all have our opinions and it's important to be true to yourself. Just as it's important to grow and be better. We are human. It's amazing how we are forgetting one of TDP's lessons about hate.

I have been in the berge of tears for the past two weeks over real life stuff and this is seriously not what I needed. The tdp/rayllum Tumblr fandom gives me so much joy so checking all of you makes me happy. I don't think I can take having a breakdown over real life stuff then opening tumblr to have a breakdown over fictional stuff. My social anxiety seems to get worse every year and I feel like I don't have friends to talk or hang out with but talking online with friends and enjoying the blorbos is way easier to me! I do love it! Which makes this whole thing just messed up.

I need to take a little break‚ I'm gonna use today to make a big queue so this blog won't be inactive or anything! But I may not respond asks or messages right away. I will use my given time to finish some fics‚ art and prepare stuff for the rayllum month. I will also be working hard on the zine alongside my buddy. I tend to take june as a resting month anyways so I suppose this is good timing‚ my birthday is in june and I also joined a course lead by a professional fantasy/creature artist so I'm really hyped!! I hope I can use this month to detox myself.

I love TDP and Rayllum with all my heart and I won't let anyone taking that joy away from me. Arc 3 will hopefully be announced at SDCC and we will all be happy and drink tea together. I do also love the friends I have made here and whatever any of your stance is in anything I still love u❤️

What if the sand sibs had Pokémon teams?

I'm aware this subject isn't new at all. Many people have asked this question and have come up with pokemon teams for their favorite characters. Not just for Naruto characters, but for characters from other franchises. Coming up with Pokémon teams is very entertaining, as it makes you think of the characters' stories, personality traits, quirks, their designs, color themes, as well as their skills and abilities, to grant them a Pokémon team that really fits them. It's interesting because no two fans of a character can come up with the exact same team for their fave. Maybe they'll coincide in 2, maybe even 3! Pokémon. But the rest of the team will be different. It just goes to show the different ways in which people view these characters.

That's why I've decided to show what I consider to be, in my opinion, the quote on quote 'most fitting' teams for the sand sibs. I'm gonna be starting with them, but I also want to come up with teams for all the other characters. Not all of them, of course. That'd be impossible. Just the Konoha kids, some of the Hokage (not all of them either). Maybe the Sannin and Akstsuki, too, if I can. Though, if I end up doing the Akatsuki, I don't think I'll give them full teams of 6 to each member. Since these guys come in duos, I'd give each one of them 3 mon so they can function as double battles.

With all that said and out of the way, though. Let's jump right into the teams I've come up with for the sand kids. Starting with

1- Gaara

(Ignore the fact that Steelix is the only one with an assigned gender. I accidentally clicked on it and didn't know how to remove it. The pokemons' genders don't really matter for this).

Yeah, I think most of these choices don't come as a surprise to anyone. He'd mostly own ground pokemon, as would be expected of the Kazekage. As you'll notice with the sibs, I've given each one of them a friendship evolution, a pokemon that's a gift from someone else, as well as a mega.

I feel like Gaara would prefer Flygon over Garchomp as it's way friendlier and more gentle. Garchomp is fierce, scary, and intimidating. That's not something Gaara would want associated with his image. Flygon is a gentle desert spirit that Gaara would definitely like.

M. Tyranitar would be his ace. Now, I know it sounds hypocritical to refuse Garchomp for being intimidating, but give him Ttar. I think that Tyranitar could represent his development. He caught it as a Larvitar, an extremely hard to find catch in the desert. At first, he valued it only for its strength, but as he changed, he'd see himself in Tyranitar? How the pseudo is so stereotyped as evil and cruel when it can actually do good. He'd keep it in an attempt to prove his goodness and the lengths he's willing to go to protect his people. Also, Ttar is the king of the sandstorm. Giving it to Gaara was a no-brainer.

Sandslash is the weakest link of the team, but I like to think Gaara likes this guy. It's one of the most common ground types found in Suna, and most Suna genin start with a sanshrew. He feels that by having one, he's more connected to the people of the village by sporting the mon that the everyday Suna shinobi would have.

Umbreon is both the friendship evolution and the one that's a gift. From his siblings, more specifically. They'd get him an Eevee shortly after the chunin exams so he could have a cute fluffy guy to cuddle and de-stress with during the nights when he can't sleep. I mean, it just makes sense he'd evolve it into Umbreon. It's the tanky one, and Gaara realizes with his change that his sands' purpose is to serve a defensive role for the village, not a purely offensive one. He wants to defend now, instead of hurting those around him.

He'd have Steelix for very similar reasons, actually. He's kinda the tank of Gaara's team. Another living proof as to how devoted he is to defending his nation. His heavy slams would deal a ton of damage. Torterra is a starter, and I can imagine that as the Kazekage's kids, the sibs would be allowed access to such rare pokemon, something very few people get access to. Tort is not only another tank that can dish out good damage. He'd also represent Gaara's secret hobby of gardening. Like, honestly, and genuinely. Of all the starters we've had until now, I don't think any of them fits Gaara as much as Tort does. Also, with this guy and Steelix, you can't tell me it wouldn't be funny to imagine tiny Gaara, surrounded by such huge beasts.

As extra mon, he'd have: Absol and Maractus. The cute cacti girlie and the other dark type who's been done dirty by everyone.

Moving to the elder sister now, we have

2- Temari

Now, coming up with a team for her was ridiculously hard. Not many mon have fans included in their designs. The two that do (Oricorio sensu style and Shiftry) don't really fit Temari's team. Of course, I had to give her a couple of flying types cause it's Temari. But the main recurring theme here is 'noble pokemon that royalty would have'. As in, they'd be fitting of a princess of her rank, but can also kick ass.

Starting with Weavile, this is the one I was 100% certain about. It's based on the kamaitachi, the same inspiration as Temari's summon weasel. Also, it looks cunning and crafty, and the dex constantly raves bout how smart these guys are. Its headpiece also looks like a crown. It's very fitting, if you ask me. We all know, Temari, would be smart enough to own an ice type in a region where ground types reign supreme.

Yeah, Aerodactyl would be her mega evolution. Excuse the fact that the mega isn't shown in the image. I had to rely on the SWSH pokedex to make her team, as it was the only one that included all three of Skarmory, Aero, and Weavile. And, as you know, the SWSH dex doesn't come with megas. She'd find the fossil on a very important recovery mission. It'd be studied, but after that, Gaara would give her permission to keep it and even revive it if she wanted to. Temari would take that opportunity to own the og king of the fossils, a never seen before specimen. For her mega slot, I was even considering giving her M. Pidgeot. I ended up settling on Aero since the Kanto birb is too weak for Temari.

Now, to address the elephant in the room: Roserade. Wth is a Roserade doing on Temari's team. Well, you see. That one she would've gotten as a Budew, a gift from Shikamaru. I wanted to give her something to represent her love for the Leaf boy. And what better than Roserade? The masquerading grass type, that's both cool and elegant? It's very fancy, and I mean, it looks smart. This thing genuinely looks like it could do algebra, so it's a perfect pitch. Maru would give it to her as a symbol of their love: a Budew from the Nara forest. He would've also made sure it had a good nature and IVs, too, before giving to her, cause the princess of Suna can have nothing less. Also, friendship evo.

Nidoqueen is there cause I just wanted her to have at least one ground type. She's still a Suna kunoichi, after all. Having at least one is mandatory. So, yeah. Settled on the queen of Nidos herself. As we can imagine, hers would be a rare one with the sheer force ability. Temari would make damn good use of it, with Nidoqueens' incredible coverage.

Skarmory just fits her. Its wings bear a striking resemblance to Temari's fan. She fights with a metal fan that creates very powerful winds, and Skarmory embraces both concepts. A metal bird (so cool) that soars through the skies. It'd represent the defensive core of Temari's team, with sturdy. It'd be a hazard setter and have roost, to be obnoxious, lol.

Last on the list is Talonflame, another weird pick. I wanted to give her a Staraptor. I feel it fits Temari's wild vibes a little bit better. As I've stated previously, I had to use the SWSH dex for her team, and for some gdamn reason, the raptor isn't in the Galar dex. So, I had to settle on Talonflame. It and Staraptor have very similar auras, after all. But for her ideal team, it'd be Star here instead of the fire bird. I mean, I think it is only fair to give her a regional bird. Any of these two, make your pick. They're pretty interchangeable, even if I personally prefer the Sinnoh bird for her.

Her extras would be: Oricorio sensu style and a female Salandit.

Last on the list we have

3- Kankuro

Yeah, I like Kankuro's the most, tbqh.

Mega Banette is a given, no questions or explanations required. He'd catch it as a little spooky Shuppet. There'd be rumors of a spirit roaming the halls of an abandoned house at the outskirts of town. Kankuro would go check it out and get this little guy as a prize. Now, all things considered, Banette isn't that good. Kank would use it for all its worth, giving it moves like destiny bond (gets it as an egg move), will-o-wisp, and confuse ray. He'd be constantly switching its moves so it can fill different niches depending on their opponent. Don't underestimate the vengeful doll. It'll make you rage-quit.

Drapion another one that was perfect for him. In fact, his Drapion would be a direct descendant of Sasori's shiny Drapion. So, Sas would have a shiny one (cause it's red. Also, spoiler, if I ever end up doing Akatsuki teams). And his Drapion would lay this egg, that he'd end up abandoning. The egg would, of course, go to Kankuro. His is not shiny, but it's still a menace anyway.

Crobat is the friendship evo. He'd find an injured Zubat seeking refuge outside his window one night, and he'd nurse it back to health. He'd keep it cause Kankuro relates to it. He knows what it feels like to be overlooked and mocked. But same as with Zubat, they both have an inner potential that they'd work on together. I can imagine he'd initially get bullied for having a Zubat cause 'who th would settle for those annoying bastards?' Until it evolves into a Crobat, and it's the biggest 'you were saying?' Moment ever.

Zoroark might seem weird cause most people would feel it fits the Uchiha brothers way better. I honestly don't think so? Zoroarks' illusion may look similar to genjutsu, but it's not. Genjutsu can make you see whole ass made up scenarios. Distort reality around you. Zoroark just transforms itself into other mon and people. You know who can do that with his puppets? Yeah, you got that right. Also, I feel it's because people tend to overestimate Zoros' power. Zoroark isn't that strong, believe me. If anything, I think Sasuke and Itachi would have the gosht type Hisuian variant cause it's stronger. Also, the red markings round its snout that look like lipstick? Definitely Kankuro. Anyways, this dark fox would be a gift from Kiba. Not in a shipping way! I'm not a fan of Kankiba. Just a thank u gift for saving his life.

Cofagrigus is there cause it's the closest thing there is to how Black Ant works. To add extra drama and creepiness to it all, I imagine he would've caught it as a Yamask. That Yamask is actually the spirit of one of Kankuro's deceased friends, who died during Gaara's Shukaku rampage on the village when they were kids. He'd grow an extremely close bond with the gosht after that. Cofagrigus is another decent tank who can be the wall of the team in instances when Kank needs Banette to be a hard hitter and not a status inflicter.

Last is Gliscor. Yeah, the ground type of the team. This thing just screams Kankuro to me. The color palette? The devious, shit-eating cocky grin? The lethality of this beast? Kank would adore this little guy. Only a few things you need to know: poison heal+toxic orb combo. And this thing becomes almost unkillable (as long as it's kept away from ice attacks, that is).

His extras would be: Murkrow and Nidorino.

This took a long time for me to write. I know some of my choices might seem a little bit weird. A little bit out there, in terms of picks. But I did my best with what I've got. God knows this wasn't easy, especially coming up with a decent team for Temari.

My TVD opinions

Disclaimer: These are all my opinions on this show in no particular order.I will add on more whenever I feel like it.

While these statements could be read as facts, they are, in fact, solely my opinions based on how I interpreted what I saw on the show. I don't claim to be inherently right about any of these things.

If you want me to elaborate on any of these things, please let me know.

The good brother/bad brother dynamic was awesome in the beginning as the show slowly deconstructed it in an entertaining and thoughtful way (the good brother turned out to be a bloodthirsty sadist and the bad brother had a stereotypically softer side to him), but lost its appeal when the show refused to permanently let it go.

2. Caroline and Matt are both at fault for the decline of their relationship. Matt entered the relationship despite still being in love with Elena, but Caroline knew of his feelings as well and still pursued Matt.

3. On that note, Caroline was attracted to Matt because of his status as the popular jock and Elena's boyfriend. Getting him to love her would have made her feel triumphant over Elena and that's what she longed to feel for the longest time.

4. Throughout the show, the most important thing to Caroline was male validation.

5. 'Elena should've remained single at the end of the show' or 'Elena should've stayed alone to properly grieve' are hypocritical statements considering that plenty fans (mostly Bonnie and Caroline fans) consider it a bad thing that their faves ended up with no man at the end of the show.

6. The writers should've left the concept of the 'ripper' as something akin to the Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde dynamic instead of the hereditary disease it became in the later seasons, thus ridding Stefan of any and all responsibility for his actions.

7. Caroline only managed to be good friends with Bonnie because she was never jealous of her.

8. Elijah, though always a monster even in TVD, was a lot more self-reflective and more than capable of leaving his family behind for extended periods of time. In short, very different from his co-dependent mess of a character on The Originals.

9. Bonnie and her mother not attending the Mikaelson ball makes sense. Why would Esther invite the reason she walks the earth to a ball where they can likely be killed and, in turn, take Esther back to the land of the dead as well?

10. Also, Bonnie not attending wouldn't have been an issue at all if the writers hadn't forcefully inserted Caroline and Matt into that plotline as well.

11. Elena did nobody a favour when she chose Stefan in s3 despite the fact that she clearly had existing feelings for Damon at the time. I understand she was afraid of what committing to Damon would've meant and saw Stefan as the 'safer' option for her self-image, but it would've saved these three a lot of pain if she had been honest with herself.

12. Katherine loved that Stefan loved a version of herself that she wished to be and she loved that Damon loved her despite knowing her bad traits as well.

13. Stefan had a too idealistic and ultimately wrong idea of both Katherine and Elena (the poor orphan girl from Atlanta/Virginia).

14. Stefan used Elena as a way to deal with the trauma resulting of his relationship he shared with Katherine.

15. Klaroline, at least how it played out on TVD, made sense.

16. One of the reasons people notice that Delena is toxic is because the show cannot stop mentioning it.

17. Another reason is that it's one of the few relationships that go beyond the courting stage. We rarely see relationships reach a level of domesticity that would reveal their domestic toxicity/incompatability.

18. Edward Cullen is morally better than Stefan. When he considered himself a bad influence on Bella he did everything in his power to stay away. Stefan however put himself in all of Elena's classes and witheld vital informatiom from her.

19. Finn Mikaelson did nothing wrong on his time on TVD. He was also the true outsider of his family, not Kol.

20. Rebekah was the one who set the hostile tone for her relationship with Elena with her actions when they first met. Like, she is violent and jealous and the next day she wants Elena to be her high school bestie?!

21. Elena was right to dagger Rebekah the day of prom. She would've interfered with their plan (which is something that Bonnie warned them of, so if anyone wants to blame Elena for daggering Bex here, put equal blame on Bonnie for putting that idea in her head; also the Salvatores were in favor of that idea as well so don't let them off the hook!)

22. Klaus may have needed Elijah more, but it was Rebekah he loved the most.

23. There are no good parents on this show.

24. If Bonnie had to have a toxic evil love interest, it should've been Kai. He had no romantic interest in anyone before or outside of her, he was no more or less evil than any other male villain and he was hella popular among the fans (because putting Bonnie with an evil love interest is only valid for the fans if the guy is popular). And with Kai being a witch, Bonnie could've explored her magic more.

25. Bonnie's fashion was among the more realistic for her finacial situation. Same goes for Matt.

26. Matt and Rebekah spending a summer together makes little sense considering the fact that just months ago she was almost responsible for his death.

27. Kol's death was approved by everyone in the MFG which makes everyone of them liable for his death, not just Elena and Jeremy. The former is even more often cited to have killed Kol despite the fact that Jer dealt the killing blow. Wtf?

28. The only reason people cared about Kol's death was the fact that Klaus shared a few tears.

29. There was NO reason to keep Finn daggered. He was not boring or against vampirism at the time of his daggering. He was in a happy relationship with the love of his life who he turned to spend etetnity eith her. THAT is the real reason he stayed daggered. They all envied him for his happiness!!!

30. Elijah being sad for Elena losing her brother when she had a hand in killing one of his makes sense if you keep in mind that he acknowledges that she has every right to kill Kol when he was the one who went after her family first!

31. Katherine losing all her loved ones at once and her subsequent behaviour does not make her a badass survivor but an emotionally crippled, paranoid and egotistcal little girl. Not letting people into her life and her heart is not badass, it's a sign of untreated trauma.

32. Katherine did not make Caroline better by turning her into a vampire. Caroline turned a bad situation around and made the best of it and I refuse to give Kat credit for something she had no part in.

33. Every character exhibits hypocritical and/or flawed behaviour on the show. Even the "good" ones.

34. Esther wanting to kill all vampires in the world (and the Bennett family's involvement) is more accepted as morally right by the fandom than the Gilbert siblings and friends killing a single original and his sireline. And I wanna know why that is.

35. Some people complain that Bonnie's heritage as a Bennett witch should be more explored and claim that her heritage makes her very important (both things I wholeheartedly agree with), but in the same breath complain that the doppelgaenger/Petrova line is expanded waaaay too many times and Elena's heritage is not that important. Either heritage and its exploration matters to you as a whole or you only care about it when your fave is concerned (like a hypocrite).

36. Elena NOT switching brothers twice was a good thing.

37. Steroline was a good fit couple wise and were not ever sibling coded (so stop the sterocest bs)

38. Bamon should've happened before Damon expressed his sincere romantic interest in Elena. I know some people would've loved later season Bamon to show Bonnie's supposed superiority over Elena (they're equally awesome to me, hence the ' '), but this late it feels like she gets Elena's leftovers with how many times the writers made delena references.

39. Speaking of Bamon, their friendship was so badly written. They were on a good way to become friends, not besties, but good friends naturally, but instead they were forced into close proximity in a whole other dimension with only each other as company. It's like the writers needed them to be besties by the time Elena left the show and this was the best idea they had.

40. Stefan's feeding habits almost exclusively involve women in various states of undress and high school girls. Make of that what you will.

41. Amara was the true victim of the love triangle as I doubt that she had any social power compared to Silas and Qetsiyah. I'm not saying she and Silas were right to go behind Qetsiyah's back but I do question how much say Amara had in the matter.

42. Klaus doesn't like witches. That's canon since day one. He does enjoy using their powers for his gain and I guess their bodies for his pleasure but he has them kneel in front of him and (fanatically) do his bidding, so I really don't get why people claim that tthe writers got rid of his love for witches at some point. He never had any to begin with.

43. Giving Klaus a storyline on TO where he frees a slave (Marcel) when he enslaved a whole pack of werewolves on screen on TVD was incredibly tone deaf yet nobody talks about it.

44. When the writers want to make a bad guy sympathetic they amp up the physical abuse they endured (compare early Mikael and Guiseppe to the later seasons) and that's problematic because it implies emotional abuse is somehow not severe enough to be taken equally seriously.

45. Stefan could've easily broken Vicky's neck instead of killing her. There was no reason she had to die.

46. Matt is one of the few people who truly stay mostly positive and a decent person despite their upbringing and econocmic situation.

47. Jenna was a terrible legal guardian.

48. Elena's traveler magic could've been interesting if the writers made her ask Bonnie to teach her magic. It would've given the girls a reason to get closer again and explore magic as a whole.

49. Damon adopting Sage's method of finding pleasure in feeding was his way of coping with his disgust of being a vampire.

50. Throughout the first three seasons, Bonnie is the character with the most agency (when compared to Elena and Caroline.

51. The werewolves as a species were done extremely dirty after s2 ended.

52. Klaus never turning after the first time makes sense if we factor in that he was never socialized to accept this side of him, but it would've been nice to see his wolf side at least once (after all, a lot of people had to die for it to happen).

53. Klaus should've used Katherine in the sacrifice for the ritual. The irony of her being part of something she fled from centuries ago would've been a fitting 'punishment' in Klaus' eyes.

54. Damon loved Katherine more truthfully than Stefan because he saw her for what she truly was. He did the same with Elena.

55. Having all the guys on the show be into Elena (not even true but some people still say it was) can't be a bad thing if you advocate for the same to happen to your female fave.

56. Bonnie's prom dress was the most beautiful (I know people have different tastes but I even saw fans call that ugly...srsly wiwwy?!?!)

57. Tyler and Bonnie could've made a great couple, but I see nobody ever talk about it.

58. Forwood (and Mattoline too) gave Caroline the "villain love interest treatment". The ship's main purpose was to show her softer side and to endear her to the audience while she still remained mostly the same character with a few superficial ephemeral personality adjustments.

59. Katherine being allowed anywhere near Stefan in any kind of initmate way without it being shown to be wrong and disgusting is a crime. Daroline had the proper reactions (mostly) but Steferine had the writers go all "oh it's so romantic!!" (the nerve.)

60. Katherine taking over Elena's body after Elena forgave Katherine for all the things she did to hurt her made me think her beyond redemption in my eyes.

61. Katherine being a horrible mother to her child Nadia is not 'out of character' as some people claim.

62. I don't mind Stefan dying at the end of the show.

63. Caroline being magically impregnated is a horrrible plotline and she should've not become these kids' mother.

64. Jo should've lived. If anyone should've died it should've been Alaric.

65. Tyler should've had his own pack and Bonnie should've had her own coven by the end of the show.

66. Parkwood was a good relationship.

okay ngl this is making me realise I don't even know who my severance blorbos are. like, s1, I think it was between helly and innie mark, but now... I don't even know. the whole show is a sliding scale of blorbos to meow meows. they're *all* so fascinating but it's in a "I want to put you under a magnifying glass" kinda way (helena is growing on me unfortunately)

right, I'll go for the link click end because at least I have my blorbos in order there. (it's lu guang. lu guang is my link click blorbo.)

3. was there any specific point / any specific moment that suddenly made this character your Blorbo, or did you slowly grow to love them more and more until they became a Blorbo to you?

think I may have said this before somewhere, not sure, but s1 lu guang I genuinely wasn't into his character that much. it felt like he was a lot more popular than his screentime should dictate given cheng xiaoshi got the vast majority of the characterisation in s1. so I was a bit ??? over why the audience liked him so much when it didn't feel like there was much to go off?

s2 though obviously started with the whole cxsd flashback during the stabbing. and I'd seen all sorts of theories between s1 and s2 saying lu guang could be traveling back or whatever, but in my head, it was that flash that cemented it in my head as it actually being pretty likely he was a looper. (I say 'cemented' - it was like 70% him being a looper, 30% some other timey wimey explanation - but my point is that previously it was pure speculation alongside tens of other ideas until e1 suddenly dumped a whole load of evidence on the table)

And the thing is, I *really* like loopers. they are such a weak spot for me. and making *lu guang* of all people a looper? it fascinated me for character reasons. hang on, there's a post I made mid-s2 that summed up my thoughts at the time. okay found it (thank you to the random person who liked this recently enough it was in my notifications)

but yeah, the idea was sizzling in my head of the Implications of lu guang being a looper (both because it's a fave trope but also because it was lu guang specifically) and I ended up rewatching s1 at some point mid-s2, keeping it in the back of my mind that yk... this lu guang could have gone back. and it added so many layers. *earthquake arc* where lu guang is so insistent that "they're all dead" and so cheng xiaoshi can't save any of them. cheng xiaoshi telling lu guang that "even if you can't see it, there's still hope". the recurrence of "I want to go back to the start and fix things" (emma, noodle lesbians, li tianchen and qian jin in s2 as well). it was all so relevant to the overarching story in a way I hadn't put together with lu guang's quest before then.

and then we got to the actual reveal itself at the end of s2 and whilst I have issues with s2's pacing, I do think the way they did the reveal specifically knocked it out of the park, because it actively had lu guang acknowledge his hypocrisy. I feel like it would have to be acknowledged by the *narrative* just because of lu guang's "time travel rules" and all that, but the fact that lu guang himself was aware he was saying one thing and doing another and stating it so bluntly? great choice.

4. what’s the thing you love the most about your Blorbo?

self-aware hypocrite + control freak yet unable to control what matters most to him + looper + lowkey tsundere to life (actions over words - part of why he's so firm on his rules is because otherwise he tends to give in so easily)

(also, ig, shout out to the chibi series for giving some more lowkey characterisation points before we got to yingdu. weirdly, those episodes helped me get a much firmer grasp on his character under lower stakes which helped me *get* him better under the higher stakes of the main seasons and yingdu. I almost put 'cat-coded' in the list of traits I like but whilst it's an enhancing factor, on its own it doesn't count)

5. what’s the thing you dislike the most about your Blorbo?

I'm struggling to think of genuine dislikes here, because most of his flaws are reasons I like his character. but... I guess... I dislike we've not seen him have a *proper* breakdown yet. we got close with him going after qian jin when he thought cheng xiaoshi had been shot, but most of the moments where he's close to having a full-on breakdown are kept so short and the other characters don't realise what they're seeing. or we don't really get to see it outright because it's all contained in brief melancholy and flashbacks.

to be clear, I do like it being slow burned. we get to see the cracks forming and widening until there's a proper crash. and tbf, his actions in yingdu very much were a turning point based on his underlying *everything*. but... yeah, s3 lu guang, let's have a breakdown scene that gets to *breathe*

7. Gone after a single mom and her child…and her whole family, really.

This goes beyond a single Twitter account. This applies to every Twitter account, blog, and Instagram page who think it’s okay to hurt others in the name of a complete stranger’s “honor.” You are literally helping no one in your imaginary crusade. You argue Sebastian would hate us? Meh, maybe he would. Maybe he’d read some of these asks and go, “fuck you, but also…fair criticism.” Maybe he’d read the shit we say about Annabelle and laugh because it’s fucking true and he knows it. We really don’t know, and we’re okay with that. Your parasocial asses are only doing this crap because you think that he’ll reward you for being good little fans one day. You want your gold stars and forehead kisses. Can you make a top for the MHA fights? From your favorites to your least favorites.

You can take the coreography, narrative weight (the stakes behind and or clashing ideals) and logic behind them (by this i mean if the winner makes sense or not)

There’s a lot of fights in MHA so I’m just going to focus on my top 5 faves/least faves.

Favorites:

1. Shoto vs Izuku: if any fight could summarize the central theme of MHA it’s this one. I loved seeing Izuku break down Shoto’s walls, I loved seeing Shoto let loose and actually smile for the first time, and I loved how Izuku sacrificed a pretty easy win because he saw someone who was hurting and wanted to help them. 

2. All Might vs Nomu: This is a fight that’s just pure fun. Sure, it was a slugfest between All Might and Nomu, but it was a hype one. I liked seeing All Might find a way to defeat an opponent who seems unbeatable.

3. Hawks vs Twice: as I’ve mentioned before, this is a wonderful and heart wrenching fight. Something people don’t notice is that Hawks was actually trying to save Twice. He gave Twice numerous outs and even mentioned that he sees good in him. However, Twice’s loyalty to his friends made him refuse to go to the good side. Hawks, having been trained by the HPSC to be nothing more than a weapon, proved that he was more than that. Twice himself, someone who was constantly seen as an unstable freak, showed us that not everyone who’s bad was born bad. In the end, Hawks put down Twice because he legitimately saw no other way to end the fight.

4. Stain vs Tenya, Izuku, and Shoto: A fantastic fight that shows off Izuku’s true heroic nature and Shoto’s growth while also serving as a great teaching lesson for Tenya.

5. All Might vs AFO: A great fight to end the first set of arcs of MHA. I don’t really have much to say outside of that.

Honorable mentions go to Overhaul vs Izuku, Ejiro going into unbreakable mode for the first time, and Tamaki vs Three of the Eight Bullets.

Least favorite fights (not really going to explain them in detail cause if you’ve read my blog you’d know why I hate these fights):

1. Katsuki vs AFO: Katsuki’s plot armor breaks new grounds as he wakes up from having his arm broken and his heart blown out with no injures, gets a BS quirk awakening, and manages to defeat AFO because the villain was too stupid and didn’t get rid of rewind after he was fully healed.

2. Kacchan vs Deku 2: Katsuki gets his dick sucked for the billionth time while he beats on his victim, ignoring that Izuku was grieving All Might’s retirement too.

3. Kacchan vs Deku 1: Katsuki’s first dick sucking session begins as he’s somehow able to change fighting styles midway through combat despite having no formal training. He was also aiming to essentially torture Izuku and fired off an explosion that would’ve seriously injured, if outright not killed him. Of course, since Hori loves Katsuki, he only gets told to grow up.

4. Katsuki’s fight in the Joint Training Arc: Oh look, a failed attempt at showing that Katsuki’s developed in any meaningful way. Also, let’s watch Hori wank off his favorite again.

5. Katsuki vs Ochako: a failed attempt at displaying a pro-feminism message by Hori because it amounts to another dick sucking session for Katsuki.

Dishonorable mentions go to any fight Katsuki’s in because they’re always Katsuki dick sucking sessions, Hitoshi vs Izuku because Hitoshi’s hypocritical bitch ass was annoying to watch even when Izuku was kicking his ass, and Ochako vs Yui (this one’s cause I’m petty af and as even though I like Ochako, we Stan Yui in this house and she had a higher skill stat so I would’ve liked for her to at least put up a fight)

Let me be fr I love this season I love the drama and I love my new core 4 + Macy. They are so messy and deranged but the most innocent one is Khalil. Who would've thought 😭 I'm genuinely okay with every outcome and with every duo. They all have chemistry and a cute story. I just love KJ and Toris connection, the little talk before their make out session reminded me sm of Spelivia. I know there needs to be more of an emotional connection to get that comparison but I feel like they'll get that in their own way. And if not I still adore their friendship. I even started liking KJ and Amina, they managed to prove me wrong. Just the way I like it. I loved the chaos after she caught him. Just very intense and emotional. There are some cute little sparks. Khalil and Amina smh. They still my second fave duo but the way Khalil asked about their friendship after Amina bursted out... I had to scream it was so funny. I know he likes her too but it's definitely not the right time for them. Dating would destroy everything and I love how Khalil is trying to protect their friendship and her from his life. And as much as Amina already likes KJ I feel like she'll always love Khalil. Lastly the idea of Khalil and Tori is interesting I can def see it. I don't see a friendship foundation yet and more of a hook up to dating situation but we'll see. I just hope they explore every relationship bc it's clearly giving Amina & KJ endgame but I feel like everyone should get a real chance bc you can't just waste that kind of chemistry. Not even the 2 original core 4s got this kind of electricity. In my opinion.

I've been hating on that woman for 6 years straight but NK cooked with the writing for the kids. (And only them) Kingston really grew on me after the last 3 episodes. He's a lil hypocrite but he's still an adorable baby. Khalil got an insane golden retriever energy he ain't scaring no one with that gang storyline like bsfr. Tori is a messy princess while Amina is a chaotic princess. They don't know it yet but they need each other. I love them both dearly but sadly they about to turn Amina into a very terrible person if we continue like that. At least she knows how to stand up for herself but my baby needs to chill a little.

Okay what I know for sure is that someone (KJ, Jordan or Amina) will get shot. And the blame will fall on Khalil. He'll probably run away or smth or be the most hated person for a few episodes into the new season. But it'll turn out that Cassius is at fault. I can feel it in my bones. The way Khalils dad recognized him ... something happened in the past that'll haunt him.

The last time I've been this excited was the Vegas build up in season 3A.
