I really liked episode 2. Even though I thoroughly enjoyed everything that they did with Jordayla this episode, I would've liked to see Jordan's reaction to what was happening with Layla. Seeing Olivia made me realize how much I miss her. I truly believe we're missing out by not following her nor Spencer through the next phase of this series and, similar to Jordayla, I would've loved to see Spencer's physical reaction. I like where Coop is headed but I'm worried y'all. I'm not sure what to think about her interactions with this new professor. Are they gonna keep it professional or what? I really liked Amina's interactions with Khalil & KJ; especially, Khalil. That might be the ship y'all, that might be the ship. Yasi got a lot of mouth for somebody that ain't got no hands (lol). Tori's cute, I like Tori. Similar to Yasi I feel like we're going to keep seeing her throughout the season, so hopefully they do something good with her. All in all, episode 2 did it's thing. I'm still invested so I'll definitely be checking out episode 3 next week.

Apparently it’s already been a year since I posted the first and only character analysis on Jordan and Layla. The original plan was to watch an episode everyday but life happened to the nth degree and the thought of typing out reviews for over 100 episodes is demoralising. I still adore Jordan and Layla but I think now is the perfect time to pivot especially with the show pivoting as well. I am open to covering the earlier seasons too after season 7 wraps so please let me know if you are interested.

In my opinion, I can see some potential this season. After Season 6, I was worried. I'm reinvesting in Jordan, I've ALWAYS loved Layla (she's my favorite character) but I need her back in her producer bag and for the writer's to find Coop something safe (or anything at all) to do. As for Amina, I was already intrigued with her last season, so I'm 100% on board now I just need to see what they do with Khalil & KJ. All in all, I'll be checking out episode 2 tonight/or tomorrow.
