Ok here is a loose drabble thing for my DC Earth:
Earth-H-704
(This is gonna be a lot of nonsense with no cohesion, that will have to come later. Just need to get these ideas on paper.)
(Inspirations are the Justice League and Justice League Unlimited shows. Also quite a few Justice League comics)
- Clark and Bruce meet before anyone else and work together before the Justice League is formed (world’s finest)
- during this time Dick gets taken in by Bruce and Alfred and starts being Robin
-Barry and Hal meet and become friends, they also help each other out from time to time
-Diana comes to America as a diplomat but quickly establishes herself as a hero (she also meets Steve)
-J’onn J’onnz is already on Earth and is acting under his human identity as John Jones. He’s desperately trying to settle into earth and find his place here. He’s working as a detective.
- Arthur has decided enough is enough and also acts as a hero via guardian of the sea stuff.
- well to be honest everyone is establishing themselves during this time. It’s essentially the coming of the age of superheroes.
- Despite working with Superman every once in a while Batman and Robin are still technically a myth.
-So is Arthur who has only been caught on camera like 5 times.
- Diana and Clark end up working together over something in Metropolis.
- This leads to them becoming friends and working together more often.
-Clark introduces Diana to Bruce. They end up working together on a few things and settle into this dynamic. (Trinity)
- eventually a massive invasion happens that causes the main seven to group up and fight against these guys. (Super friends one could say… no it’s the Justice League!!)
- So for the most part they think it’s a one and done sort of deal but incidents keep happening that force them together. (Barry and Bruce working together on a case, Hal and Clark stopping meteors from crashing into earth, Diana and Arthur and J’onn work together to set up safety for aquatic life and talk about how the feel a bit out of place in this new world they find themselves in)
- eventually the Justice League properly forms after another invasion happens and they all work really well together.
- It’s the Trinity (founders (Clark and Diana lure Bruce in by claiming needing help) (he knows they don’t really need his help but he can’t deny them anything)) that properly set up the Justice League. Just with the seven as members for now but willing to add more.
-They all settle into this new arrangement well, and they get that Justice League building built.
- after a few attack attempts Bruce gets the Watch Tower built and then they all settle up there. (He’s attached now, he will never admit it.) (Diana and Clark know.)
- after this several other members are added (Dinah, Oliver, Zatanna, Red Tornado, Shayera, Carter…. Many more)
Basically this is it for now.
Other things that don’t really fit into the timeline yet but do happen:
- there are so many Green Lanterns. The Oa realized earth is a hotbed for universal chaos and recruited even more Green Lanterns for that section of the Universe. (Because I love John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, Jessica Cruz, just a lot of them.)
- Technically there was already an age of heroes that came and passed (Alan Scott and such) but they all either disappeared or went into hiding. (Listen I loved the image of Bruce and Tommy watching Alan fight in Batman: Hush. It felt so weirdly inspiring and I can also imagine Clark sitting down and watching The OG Flash be a superhero.) (I might change this and make these guys a separate universe but I love them so it’ll stay like this for now)
- MORE SIDEKICKS (Roy!! Wally!! Donna!!)
- Dinah and Oliver power couple!
- secret identity shenanigans
That’s all for now might add more later

Not me considering a short fic from Ashley’s POV telling how she gets abducted on her drive home from university.
Since I need to plan out what happens in anyway since I need those details for her POV chapters in my Re4r fic... hmm...
(Because Leon absolutely will ask her about what happened to try to see if she has a lead on how the fuck this happened). Because the concern is still the mole and traitor.
#all for the angst you understand#because they manage to get her from the east coast US to Spain without being intercepted#and they let her keep her phone (which is a dumb detail that capcom made happen since that means#that Krauser/whoever else TOOK HER ENRIRE PHONE TO SPAIN WITH HER) because you can find it in the church#anyways Ashley being really scared (and hurt from the betrayal from her secret service officers)#but then Ashley thinking “oh my dad/the government will be in this so fast nothing will happen I just have to wait a little bit)#because obviously Ashley believes that she is too important to be missing for long (because she is insane leverage against her dad lol)#but then she ends up in Spain????#i am def making her be sedated/extrenely disoriented until she is locked in the church#so she has no idea where or how long it has been#(also so that she can't identify/provide descriptions of who took her since she is unconscious/too out of it) because#Krauser is cocky but not that cocky#gotta figure out how they get her out of the country#probably by ship/boat to somewhere else (maybe mexico or the carribean idk)#and then flying her to Spain... but she hardly remembers any of that#the trick is obviously that flying internationally is difficult in terms of smuggling a person into a country...#without making the Spanish government have some corruption/moles too#(which i might do... because it would be helpful and explain why the police don't seem to care people/hikers are going missing in that area)#re thoughts#re stuff#fanfic talk#ashley graham#resident evil 4#resident evil 4 remake

Alice in Borderland characters at Thanksgiving
Tumblr media
I am aware that this is incredibly dumb because Japan doesn’t have Thanksgiving lol but I just thought this would be funny. So enjoy!
Arisu
I could see Arisu not even being there because his family sucks and doing a little Friendsgiving thing with Karube and Chota instead
But for fun, let’s say he does go
He’s become a master at finding places to hide and play his games and knowing when and how many times to resurface to make it seem like he isn’t hiding
Sits at the kids table
The kids definitely love him more than the adults
He encourages his cousins to steal money to pay for Fortnite skins
He ends up being the one the shyer kids open up to about their interests, and lets them because he of all people knows how it feels to get put down for your allegedly stupid interests
He (begrudgingly) lets his little girl cousins drag him to the bathroom to raid the makeup drawers and put makeup on him
He dramatically gasps and tells the girls he loves it to make them happy though
Doesn’t get involved in the family drama, but definitely loves to watch the shit go down
Avoids his more conservative relatives and their political conversations like the plague
Karube
Last to arrive, first to leave
Also sits at the kids table because they’re way more fun than the adults
He gets food with his shyer cousins so they don’t have to go by themselves
His designated contribution is the alcohol (he also brings pop for the kids)
Sometimes he’ll make a side dish and it’s always surprisingly completely eaten by the time the night’s over
Tries not to get involved in the political debates but he almost always gets involved because of that one homophobic uncle
That one homophobic uncle always leaves with a black eye
He watches the family drama and definitely spills the tea to Arisu and Chota at their Friendsgiving
Chota
First to arrive and is immediately put to work in the kitchen
He helps cook everything and actually gets stressed out himself in the process
He texts Arisu and Karube that he’s a horrible cook everything will taste awful this is a disaster… then two minutes later goes “Oh ok the pudding’s thickening now nevermind”
His aunts love how helpful he is and always says he’s such a Sweet Boy for helping them
Also sits at the kids table (let’s just say most of these characters sit at the kids table lol)
Knows from being Arisu’s friend that some kids will hide by themselves for a while, so he tries to make sure they don’t miss out on dinner and dessert
Has become a master at guilt tripping his more conservative family members
If one of his uncles starts saying trans kids have something wrong with them, he turns to him with the look of a kicked puppy and tearfully asks him why he would say something so mean
He doesn’t get involved in the family drama and doesn’t know the context, but when the shit starts going down he texts Karube and Arisu live updates
“Oh shit Aunt Janet told Aunt Carol she’s jealous she doesn’t have a husband OH SHIT AUNT CAROL THREW HER DRINK AT HER WHILE I WAS TYPING THAT”
Usagi
Doesn’t like Thanksgiving because of both the history behind it and her family, but always decides to suck it up and go anyway
Arisu keeps inviting her to Friendsgiving, but she doesn’t want to impose on the guys’ little tradition
If nothing else, than at least she won’t have to cook dinner for herself for once
She quietly helps out in the kitchen
If she brings anything, she brings a side dish that’s not too difficult to make
Either sits at the kids table or sits by herself
She sadly becomes the relative that listens intently to everyone else’s stories and chatter, but gets cut off when she tries to talk about what she’s been up to
She doesn’t get involved in any political debates, but has become an expert at humbling relatives who have awful takes with Judging Looks
She does get a little vindictive enjoy from telling her male relatives that politics makes them really emotional and she doesn’t want to talk to them when they’re so high-strung
Shares the family drama that goes down with Arisu and they laugh about it together
Chishiya
Hates Thanksgiving and everything about it
Only goes for three things: the food, the wine, and the drama
Inadvertently ends up becoming the babysitter of his toddler-age cousins
He has no idea why or how, but at least the toddlers provide some entertainment
Never brings anything, except a bottle of wine that he exclusively keeps for himself
(And maybe his teenage cousins if he feels like being an enabler)
He could hypothetically destroy any of his conservative relatives in a political debate, but chooses not to because he thinks it’s a waste of time
If there’s one thing he does live for at Thanksgiving though, it’s the drama
He’s the one who keeps track of it all and fills family members in on the context of the powder keg that’s exploded this year
“Yes, Aunt Janet, we’re all aware of your devotion to essential oils. It’s too bad you couldn’t find one to keep Uncle Carl from divorcing you.” he says, calmly taking a sip of wine.
Hatter
He’s been designated as the one who brings the wine because he always gets the best
Always arrives fashionably late in a flurry of flashy yet tasteful clothes and cologne
He probably ends up drinking more wine than eating the food
Jumps between sitting at the kids table and sitting with the adults
He’ll sit at the kids table because he always manages to get the kids (or Little Gremlins, as he’s affectionately nicknamed them) to spill the hot gossip to him
He’s become the relative that the younger queer relatives feel the safest coming out to
Because this man is as pan as the day is long and you cannot change my mind
Listen I genuinely feel like if I came out as non-binary to him he would cheer loudly, ask me my pronouns, then get me a celebratory drink
If any of the kids accidentally get drunk on Thanksgiving, it’s entirely his fault
He LIVES for the family drama
He not only participates, but actively instigates it
“Tell me, Carol, is Ken having another affair or was it your bleached blonde head I saw blowing him in his car?”
Then he sends Aguni pictures of Ken’s face as he tries to explain himself to a fuming Carol
Niragi
Always makes sure to bring a main course dish to show off how good at cooking he is
If any of his relatives tell him his cooking sucks, he laughs and flips them off
The one all the other cousins are scared of
And yet the one the great-aunts and grandmothers all think is a nice boy
Somehow gets along with his youngest cousins the best (they’re not old enough to think he’s weird yet lol)
Eggs on their roughhousing
His four-year-old cousin is kicking his sister, his sister is kicking back, and there’s Niragi on the couch with them going “Fight! Fight! Fight!”
Could outdrink his uncles and does
Absolutely hates football games. Only puts up with them because he likes to make bets with his relatives and win every time.
Fuels the fervor of political debates by being a troll, just sits there and grins like he thinks Uncle Jim is so fucking stupid for having such incorrect opinions.
Eggs on drama from the sidelines.
Aunt Carol and Aunt Janet are squabbling, and he’s off to the side with a glass of wine going like “OHHH, are you gonna let her talk to you that way, Aunt Carol???”
Just contributes to all the chaos and does not help fix any of it lol

Expectation vs Reality
Pairing/Characters: Dean/Cas, Sam, Jack | Rating: Gen | Tags: post-finale, everyone lives, retirement, autistic Jack | Warnings: none | Word Count: 1,771
Synopsis: Toes in the sand. It was a nice idea. But it turns out some people just really aren't built for the beach.
For @winchester-reload 's Hot Summer Art Challenge - Prompt 1: Seaside
They’d made it. End of the world and out the other side. Retirement. It was a weird notion. Took some getting used to, probably would for a while. But there was one thing that Dean knew he needed to cross off his bucket list immediately. He’d had a dream, a vision. Toes in the sand. And dammit, he was going to make that dream a reality.
Of course, some people just aren’t beach people...
“Anyone else getting a headache? I’m getting a headache.”
“That’s what you get for not bringing sunglasses, Sam. Quit squinting into the sun, ya moron.”
“Why do you even own sunglasses? We live underground and did most of our work at night.”
Dean flicked the aviators down his nose so he could peer at his brother in condescension. “It’s called having style. Look it up.”
“Yeah, sure thing Top Gun,” Sam replied with a roll of his eyes. Deciding to give his eyes a rest, he shuffled further back into the sun lounger, taking advantage of the shade from the beach umbrella between himself and Dean. “How’re your feet holding up?”
Dean grimaced as he glanced down at his bare feet, toes scrunching in the sand. “Yeah, that was a mistake, huh?” Turned out sand was hot. The moment Dean had whipped his shoes and socks off, running towards the ocean, he’d almost fallen flat on his face once the searing heat registered on his soles. Then it was a quick diversion as he hobbled his way towards the nice shaded spot they had now claimed as their own and he hadn’t ventured out of it since.

Have you posted any other writings online before? Hungry for more PMD angst :)
I haven't, actually! This is the first time I've ever put any of my writing out into the public, other than a brief (and very unsuccessful) venture into posting original fiction on Wattpad. You can imagine my shock and awe at discovering such a lovely audience upon migrating to Tumblr and fanfic.
I've been fighting hard to cook up some oneshots as a way to keep myself writing now that TPiaG's all through with the editing process, but I'm having a bit of a creative funk when it comes to generating with ideas. I've only managed to write a single Ark/Twig oneshot that features light angst towards the middle and end, but it's not really the focus of the fic, and I also have yet to upload it anywhere. It's still a bit nerve-wracking for me to post anything featuring an OC x Canon ship, hehe ^^;
If anyone has any scenes or anything they'd like to see written (or drawn--- comics are also a medium I work in, y'know), I'm all ears! Put 'em in the replies, reblogs, messages--- anything! I'd love to see what bonus scenes people would like to read :> Plus, it'd help circumvent my struggle to come up with what sorts of scenarios to stick the cast in!

does jay ever get confused or surprised by his own emotions or actions? i feel like its even worse whrn you dont even know why youre acting like this, because you cant explain ky to yourself, let alone other people
I think so. I know he definitely doesn't really realise he's doing some of it in the moment, especially when he's angry. Like, he just lashes out without even thinking about it, then refuses to let himself feel like he's in the wrong in the moment, because that'd mean "losing" in some way, so he usually doubles down. But like, yeah, I feel like a lot of the time he doesn't expect to react as severely as he does? Like, he's fine fine fine fine, until he's not and he just flies off the handle and can't really do anything about it until he's landed again, and then he can start trying to pick up all the pieces, y'know?
He definitely beats himself up when he settles on "oh I fucked up" after he does something (and tries to get Alex to beat him up over it too lmao, uh, anyway 💀) yeah, if you asked him WHY he did something? Chances are he'll bullshit you about the explanation. Like, I feel like hell make it sound like he knows why he did it, but then if you actually start prodding past the made up, surface level shit he came out with, you'd realise really fast that he doesn't know why he did something.
Either that or sometimes you'll get a massive flood of every single reason he can possibly think of for why he did something? Like you know in Sorry, It's Locked chapter three, when Tim kisses him and he freaks the fuck out and runs away, and then after that he kinda gives Tim just this massive flood of every single thing that lead up to that moment of him panicking and trying to run away.
He's all or nothing, 0 or 100, nothing in between. Either he knows every single thing about why he reacted how he did, or he doesn't have the foggiest, y'know?

I love how your Bruce is traditional but it is also like a mix of different types of traditional. Like he comes across as both "Rich white old money type" traditional AND "member of a marginalized minority group who take great pride in their identity to cope with years of ostracization and going "the world wanted me dead for my culture and religion so i might as well die loud and proud instead of conforming to their unachievable ideals" " traditional
Thank you for this ask, I really love it! I have a shitton to say on this topic, including a lot of worldbuilding decisions on Gotham cultures, immigrant spaces, segregation, how it ended up like 1920s-1930s NYC/Chicago mixed with my own city, Jason "Foil" Todd's Inferiority Complex, but that would make this depressingly long. Long time readers would know that I have, like, really complex and discrete religion headcanons for everybody I write. It's important.
Any decent Batman Story (TM) is about Gotham. It has to be a huge presence. It's like writing Dick Tracy without Chicago, or Cheers without Boston. When he's written well, Batman is a reflection of Gotham, and they metaphorically represent each other.
Most Batman writers get this, so there's always a lot of historical worldbuilding and everything. But I'm a community health person, and I grew up in the inner area of my own very large city, and creating a Gotham that feels real and rich is more complicated than the Court of Owls stuff. For me, cities are the intersection of culture, community, history, oppression/SES/war etc, and the modern day to day lives of people. When I want to make a rich city that was relevant and important to the story, I wanted to focus on immigrants and cultural minorities. You know - the people who create the cities lol. I decided on a history that involved the idea that Jewish families were the oldest in Gotham, and that they were one of the people to help create it and influence its culture.
I read a Daniel Handler quote just now that said "there is something naturally Jewish about unending misery". What is more Batman, Bruce, and Gotham than that, lol. The Jewish diaspora experience - the traditional history just as you outlined it in your ask - is baked into Gotham, it's the foundation. Gotham is a city of unending misery, but it's a city that stands tall. It takes a thousand hits and always gets back up again. People within it experience unending poverty and suffering, but they stand together. Just fucking refuse to die, as a whole. What's more Jewish than that! What is more Batman than that! Gotham should always be allegorical for Batman and Bruce, and through Gotham existing in that traditional Jewish experience, I think that's where you got the impression of Bruce as very traditional too.
Tim and the Drakes are the modern reflection of this. I was extremely explicit that Tim is alone in the world because of the Holocaust. I talk a lot in the story about how war and violence destroy children's lives, and that stretches back to the 1940s. About how war and violence creates violent children, which is what Tim became. His acting out was from the trauma of seeing his family slaughtered in front of him, and like a lot of people he used his religion to justify it.
There's a reason why the very first moment when Tim and Bruce actually connect as a family is when they find kinship and understanding through their shared backgrounds and values. They both saw their families slaughtered, they're both alone in the world - but they found each other, and they'll keep living.
OK BELIEVE IT OR NOT THAT'S THE SHORT VERSION. Seriously, though, I'm not. Uh. Actually fucking Jewish. This is like the fourth time I've talked out of my ass about this. I'm actually really interested in reading about the actual Jewish themes in Batman, because from what little I know they HAVE to be there. Any smart people out there who know about it, or who can link something written about it?

Man I love than when WFA gets an episode people share or talk a lot about, there is immediately like 20 people that come out of the bushes just saying how WFA has done irreparable damage to the Batman fandom.
Almost as if comics like little gotham didnt exist before it lol.
Its always about how its a terrible comic to introduce fans to the characters, forgetting that some of this characters no longer appear in current comics in prominent roles (yes i'm talking about Duke and Alfred) and also ignoring the fact that most of the cast doesnt even have decent writing on the regular comics that wasn't extremely contradicting to previous comics (Jason, Damian and Bruce especially come to mind), like if you wanted to read a comic with Duke you would have to really look it up, you will not find it in a random store or even in any front pages of comic websites. At the very least WFA its accesible and may introduce you or spark an interest for a character you knew nothing about before.
Not only that but didnt DC establish that every universe is technically canon, like injustice happened and its canon to its own universe and you could make an argument of how out of character it is for superman or Diana or literally anyone, but for some reason all the hate goes the slice of life webtoon that has consistent characterizations and its literally free.
