okay first of all tho before i start yapping for ages i do have a few posts already where i talk about girl dad taiju, mostly in the tags but they're here, here, and here and the first one i would highly recommend reading vicos rb bc UGHHH IT WAS SO CUTE I WAS ABOUT TO CRY anyways! will try my best not to repeat what i've said before (also i got reallyyy carried away so long LONG text under the cut)

i think when he first finds out that you're pregnant, there's this odd feeling in the back of his mind that he can't quite place... just brushes it off and blames it on the fact that he hasn't dealt with kids in a really long time. but when you tell him you're having a girl, then something in his mind just ticks and he remembers his pretty bad track record when it came to raising his siblings, yuzuha specifically, and starts stressing. tries to hide it from you because no way is he, a 6'5" former black dragon leader whose name alone had people cowering in fear, is afraid just because he's gonna be the father of a little baby girl.

but he is. he's terrified, despite how much he lets on. terrified that he might end up raising your precious daughter the same way he raised yuzuha. and he knows now at least how wrong his past actions were but there's still that lingering thought that he'll fall into that old, horrible, mindset he had as a young child and teenager just out of habit. out of instinct. and he hates himself for even thinking that. and it takes a lot of reassurance from you that it won't happen, that he want do that because he's different now, and he still refuses to admit he was even thinking about it.

however, when he meets his girl for the first time he nearly melts. she looks so much like you and reminds him so much of little yuzuha when she was a baby. and his genes are so stupidly strong so she ends up coming out with his eyes and almost bald, luckily not fully bald like when he was born, but she has your eyes and when he holds her for the first time, he knows he'd rather do anything than hurt her or even let go of her.

and from that day forward, you swear you've never seen your little girl without taiju holding onto or carrying her in some way. he's got her strapped into a baby carrier on his chest if his hands are busy. and whenever he's napping, he's cuddling with her. as he walks around the house, he has her sitting on his hip with an arm keeping her flush to his side. if you're all outside, he likes having her sit on his shoulders and hearing her marvel at the view from his height. and when she gets to the age that she starts walking, he always tells her to hold onto him. doesn't matter if that means she's clutching his pant leg or wrapping all of her chubby fingers around his pinky, just has to be holding on.

also think that no matter what, taiju can never discipline her, even if it directly relates to himthe responsibility of disciplining her is fallen onto you, mostly because he's scared he'll mess up and discipline her the same way he did to yuzuha when she was little, so obviously you have to discipline your daughter. which isn't easy at all, since she's just so spoiled and misbehaves all the time because she simply couldn't careless about what anyone but her father has to say.

oh and taiju can never. ever. ever. say no to her. she ends up being so spoiled because of it and even if you tell taiju to stop, he argues that you can't even blame him. it's just because she looks like a mini you and it's not like he can say no to you, so what makes you think he can say no to the little version of you? and, even though he doesn't tell you, it's also partially because she reminds him of yuzuha and he wishes he could make up for how much of yuzuhas childhood he had ruined. so maybe if he can't fix her childhood, he can at least make sure that his daughters childhood will never need to be fixed.

and she is such a daddy's girl because of it too. but of course, taiju sees no problem with it. why would he? it means he's doing a good job at parenting this time around. even if it means that she never listens to you and goes running to taiju when she knows she did something wrong. he just picks her up and lets her tell him exactly what she did, to which he just laughs and tells her "mama isn't gonna be happy about that, y'know" before taking her out to get ice cream. and you end up not finding out about what she's done until a little later, while taiju and her are happily eating ice cream in the living room. by then, it's not like you can do anything because whose going to punish a child while they're eating ice cream? she ends up getting away with a lot since by the time she's done with her sweet treat, you've gotten busy and forgotten.

he indulges her so much too, she always gets her way. she wants to play barbie's? you're coming home to see the father of your child laying down on the ground, a ken wearing a dress, one heel and one sneaker, with a purse around his neck and scribbles all over his face in taiju's hands as he makes the poor doll clap for the fashion show your daughters putting on with her other dolls, all of the barbie's and princesses dressed much better than their male counterpart.

and if she wants to have a tea party? you better believe that when you walk past her bedroom, you will see taiju sitting in one of her toddler chairs, a princess tiara sitting askew on the top of his head, a plastic tea cup that looks absolutely minuscule in comparison to himself in his hand as he pretends to take sips of air, and the chair looking like it's about to crack under his weight. if you make your presence known, he will absolutely blame it on your daughter and say she "forced" him into it, as if a toddler a third of his height could do anything to him.

all in all, he's a sucker for your daughter and would do anything to make her happy <3

ok so. monster in lethal company, the maneater(???) thing, the one that looks like a harmless lil baby bug creature at first and cries a lot and when u don't b nice to it it turns into a monster and gets ur ass. so monster sun/moon that start off in a very vulnerable tiny baby state but r actually just like healing or smthn and Reader is the only one of a team of ppl thats nice and protects them and then later one of the ppl tries to/maybe accidentally almost gets Reader hurt and sun/moon go full angy and yeet a mf and then reader is like 'oh my god i have been letting those monster things sleep in my BED what if they have been planning to EAT ME' and sun/moon are like 👁️👁️💕💕 hi we love u

sigh okay lemme say this again in shorter words so that I can make myself clear to the anons who keep misinterpreting my words

I think using AI to write fics is gross (and uninspired, like babes I promise the ideas in your heads are so much cooler)

I also think accusing people of using AI based on writing style is gross (em dashes? purple prose? repetition? some of us just write like that without any AI)

I also think that even if you do find “solid evidence” of AI use in a fic, like uploading huge amounts of text very quickly, you shouldn’t start a witch hunt to drive that person off the internet

Why? Because maybe you can inspire a new writer to turn off the AI and write for themselves if you would just talk to them, keep the conversation open, and encourage them to write what’s in their heads without fear of getting the words and grammar and structure all wrong

And if you’re wrong about the AI use? Because trust me, no one is 100% correct at identifying AI? Then we’ve wrongfully accused and silenced another writer who could be making our fandom spaces beautiful

We all have to start somewhere. Using AI isn’t an unforgivable sin. Just talk to people, rather than grabbing your pitchforks and torches

*PUSHES THE DISCOURSE OUT* Okay! I just wanted to talk about this bit of the story because I hardly see anyone giving it attention.

Remember there was this whole segment in BY 5, where it talked about the Soul Jams? It fascinated me of how it talked about the two halves shouldn't be united, since everything would perish because of the union. One could assume that it meant to emphasize the point that the Beasts should not get the other half of the Soul Jam, bu after the latest BY episodes, with the whole thing about PV and SM soul merging (no matter how brief it was), it feels like there could be more to the poem now.

Maybe it's my shipping brain making me delusional, but I feel like the poem might become applicaple in some way for the rest of the Beasts and Ancients later on in the story. I would absolutely go wild to see GC and BS soul merge-

Don't worry, I'm equally as delusional lmaoooooo and also, you have a point. As the Beast-Yeast storyline goes on, I feel like they're diving deeper into the truth of the Beasts and Ancients' dynamic: they're not just generic enemies, they're literal soulmates. Two halves of a whole. They want and need each other, they ARE each other in some ways, for better or worse. They went full mask-off with PV and SM but imo you see it in the other pairs and their episodes as well.

With the commentary in ep 5 about how the Soul Jams shouldn't reunite, I really think it's the more baseline thing of "if they reunite, BS will be unstoppable and evil wins". Eps 7 and 8 reveal the truth of the matter for ALL the pairs imo, not just PV and SM, which is that they belong together, it is actual, literal destiny, they are nothing without each other and define each other's lives and the virtues/vices they uphold. What is Truth without Deceit? What is Abundance without Destruction? These things simply cannot be, unless they are together. (BS himself even acknowledges it in one of his leaked affection lines: "You see, a world of Abundance can only be built on the ruins of the past". He admits that Abundance needs Destruction. That Golden Cheese needs him. And he needs her.)

I've said this before but I can honestly talk about the BurningCheese dynamic for SOOOOO long. They drive me insane. There's so much to dissect and analyze about them, but no one will do it except for me 😭 Look:

They even have their own "in the end, you will become me" moment 😭 their relationship is just as deep as PV and SM's, you guys... Please, I can't be the only one who sees and knows this......

(also... Dude. I would have KILLED to see them merge souls like PV and SM did. CAN YOU IMAGINE. BS already demonstrated that he cares about HER, not the Soul Jam, not really (he had it in his hands and he DIDN'T DO ANYTHING WITH IT. He just went "meh whatever this was supposed to happen" and then started whining and fussing about wanting to see GC again). Can you fucking imagine if they followed through with the line shown above and had GC give in to destruction, like how PV gave in to deceit? If GC had her own "corrupted" skin, like Truthless Recluse? I dare you to tell me BS wouldn't have been excited as all hell if she submitted to him like that. He was horny af throughout their fight, he would've busted a nut on the spot if that happened 😂 the concept has been haunting me since ep 8, I would've died happy if there had been a BurningCheese soul merge, God I need to learn to draw properly so I can bring that shit to life myself-)
