One of the more pointlessly frustrating things that ever happened to me was getting an email that told me I was switching cell phone carriers. The email just said "Notice: Your Verizon Wireless service is transitioning to AT&T". This was back in 2010, when that was a slightly bigger deal, since LTE wasn't widely available in the United States at the time. Verizon was using one standard, AT&T was using the other, and most phones could not switch between the two because they required fundamentally different hardware.

The email said that they were going to get me a new phone, and that my Verizon plan would become an AT&T plan in some kind of bastardized version of grandfathering, without changing the rate I was paying.

It did not explain to me why this was happening, or how, and I didn't find out until later, in spite of a few emails inquiring what the fuck they thought they were doing.

This was the biggest pain in the ass I have ever experienced. I was one of a group of people this was happening to, but it was a small group of mostly rural customers, and between the time I'd signed up with Verizon and when the switch happened, I had moved away from where virtually all the other customers were. I had no way of knowing this at the time, but it meant that when I went to the AT&T store, they had not had any training whatsoever in what was supposed to happen. They didn't believe me until I showed them the documentation, and even then, I think they were a little skeptical. Managers were called.

Eventually I got it sorted out, but it was even more complicated than it needed to be because my dad had been the one to sign me up for the phone (I was in college at the time) and his name was the one on the account. He lived four hours away from me, and AT&T did not seem to know what to do about this whole thing.

But I did, eventually, learn how and why I was being made to switch carriers.

What had happened is that back in 2008, two years prior, Verizon announced that it was set to acquire Alltel. This would have created a monopoly (Alltel and Verizon were significant competitors), so the FCC required that part of Alltel would be spun off into its own company that would remain independent in order to ensure that there was market competition, particularly in rural areas. AT&T then snapped up some of the remaining pieces of Alltel. In theory this should not have affected me, because I was a Verizon customer, not an Alltel or AT&T customer.

So what happened to me was more complicated.

As background, the FCC divides cell phone markets into Cellular Market Areas (CMAs), which are then either Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSAs) or Rural Service Areas (RSAs). There are about 750 total CMAs in the United States.

Back in 2005, Alltel acquired Midwest Wireless Holdings. There was a consent decree in 2006 that required them to divest markets that would have been anticompetitive, and four of those RSAs were then snatched up by Rural Cellular Corporation. Rural Cellular was then bought by Verizon in 2009.

So there was one single RSA, out of 750 in the United States, which was covered by the Alltel/Midwest consent decree and the Alltel/Verizon consent decree, and for all this merger madness to go ahead, it was agreed that Verizon could acquire everything in that RSA conditional on "prompt redivestiture" to a buyer approved by the DOJ. Most of these customers would go from being Alltel customers to being customers of someone else, not Verizon, but Verizon did also have to give up some of their own original customers.

Here is the punchline: the Department of Justice, in order to promote competition in the free market, forced me to change carriers to someone I did not choose for myself. Like if I was about to go to Burger King and they forced me to go to McDonald's instead so that there would be "fair competition". Absolutely ludicrous, at least from my perspective.

Anyway, this was all back in 2010, so ... thanks, Obama.

MSA Paraclete SOHPC, but red

Okay guys, this one's a bit of a mystery to me So far theories range from this thing being a test sample to a custom batch for LE Firearms Instructors, Noncombatant/Civilian Personnel, Rescue Teams, etc.

Whatever the reason, this is definitely a very late model MSA SOHPC made of bright red cordura fabric. This thing was so weird and wonderfully awful I needed to grab it.

Surprising to nobody, the quality on this thing is quite substandard. The edge binding isn't actually grosgrain, but strips of cordura folded over raw edge - I had to remove several loose strands before taking these photos.

The cummerbund also seems to have integral soft armor or padding of some sort, despite the presence of side armor pouches, whatever's in this thing is non-removable.

oh and there's also now more plot and a fic for the pla/msa crossover

I happened to write my thoughts down as I was progressing through Brothership, so here they are, in roughly chronological order. Definitely contains spoilers.

Oh. Well. I sure can do something with Maykit's song, now can't I.

I know people are probably comparing this to WW, but tbh, the bite-sized islands remind me of Phantom Hourglass, and traveling on a set path invokes Spirit Tracks. I suppose the visuals are sort of reminiscent of Wind Waker, but, if anything, it's the shading re: the WiiU version. Not everything set on the open sea is Wind Waker, but I appreciate the enthusiasm.

Oh good, I missed stomping on Francis.

Forgot the villains straight up have Antasma's face. Do we think that's actually going to call back, or is the new dev team just trying to tie into the last proper M&L game?

…why do they keep doing villains in this style? The guy just looks like Antasma again, or (with the top hat) a color swapped Count Bleck. The only real difference is the MSA style skull.

Don't know why, exactly, but I've had that post that goes 'this isn't a ouija board, it's a Luigi board' stuck in my head for about three islands, now.

I'm actually kind of happy to see Starlow again. I had a friend who really hated her, but she seems a lot more chill in this one. Wish they'd kept the sound for her old voice, though.

Pfff, so apparently this DID turn into Wind Waker after all. We've got a bunch of kids with swirly belts who decided to take the matter of people getting kidnapped by birds into their own hands. They even hitched a ride on a boat so they could travel to an island with high towers, where a giant bird roosts.

So the idea is that Zokket can't remember names because even that's a bond, right?

Just looked at the word 'Zokkarang' and realized how many ATLA ships that encompasses.

I actually really love Bulbfish so far, it's a great change of pace. Pretty obvious where it's going, but there's nothing inherently wrong with that. The game isn't big on subtlety thus far anyway.

I'm bad at dodging the Foopflies, but love seeing them, because their name is super fun to say.

Every time I have to go back to Heatfreeze, I obnoxiously go "BWAAAM BWAM BWA-BWA-BWAM" a la Hailfire Peaks.

...okay. Either they put the obligatory mid-game Bowser fight WAY later than usual, or I'm not nearly as far into this game as I'd thought.

I got the 'Auto Luigi' plug, and no lie, the first thing out of my mouth was: "What does that mean? WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?"

Oh my god. The Extension Corps is just evil Sweet Cap'n Cakes. How did I not see it before.

One thing I really dig is that the game's logic stays consistent between plugs and Bros moves, and it's a neat bit of foreshadowing. I didn't think anything of the fire and ice plugs combining to be extra powerful until it became a story beat.

There's a real consistent design theory with these villains, huh. This one feels VERY reminiscent of Cackletta and Dimentio.

Look. I get what the game is going for with this whole 'isolate yourself and do what you enjoy without socialization' villain philosophy, but uh. Maybe know the audience. That's exactly what I've done in order to play this.

The number of times someone's gone "Let's-a go" at the end of a scene, only for me to mutter "let's-a not" and turn around to continue treasure hunting is kind of alarming. It's always capped off with "Now we may-a go" too.

What a coincidence! Conductor Connection is also MY most powerful move!

I called most of the bonds, but think it's odd that the game highlighted Bowser and the minions' being so important, but neglected to include them in this portion. I guess it would be kind of hard to make that work, when Bowser wouldn't ever hold someone's hand?

I've always really loved the fact that the M&L games are allowed to have a continuity between them. I said before, it was nice to see Starlow, but they threw in references to her being friends with Bowser, and then the chicken thing. Bowser still remembers Luigi's name after four games of calling him "Green ___". It's not just throwing in a reference here and there, like the Peasly, Shroob, Broque and Zeekeeper reefs; looking back on it, you can see actual character arcs, the most obvious being Luigi gaining confidence, and Bowser becoming more of a threat.

I just busted out laughing. We blew a hole in the wall to access the OTHER hole we already made in the wall.

So I went and looked up the last Zokket battle, because there was something I wanted to see again, and none of the people I looked up got glohmed? I freeze up and panic during enemy attack phases, so I'm terrible at dodging, and (at that point) didn't realize there was a Glohm Defense plug, so I got Luigi glohmed on the very first turn-- and that was what I wanted to rewatch. There's a nice little sequence where you have to counterattack a glohmed brother, but after he's unarmed, he stops attacking, and you can stop countering/he'll break out of it. It was really sweet, and I kind of think the people who are playing "well" are missing out in that regard. Chalk one up for idiots like me.

I'm only just getting into the Solitree, but I wonder if the game is trying to make a point with these new enemies. There's one that's a combination of three trooper types, a support enemy that heals/buffs its allies, and a seedle that just spent the entire battle disengaged because its partner seedle ran off. That's all really interesting, given the villain's mission statement.

Okay, now that I'm not constantly in battles, the Solitree's theme is giving me MAJOR Psychonauts 1 vibes. I think, specifically, it was a song that plays in the Meat Circus, just before fighting the Butcher? The 'The bunnies are safe, we're all safe' scene?

Update on the Seedlusa: apparently it changes forms when it's the only enemy on the field. This isn't helping the optics at all.

SEEDLUSAS IN THE OVERWORLD RUN AWAY FROM YOU. I don't think I've seen ANY enemies that do that, before this.

So just recently, I ended a battle with a bro down for the first time, and now I'm going bonkers trying to even their EXP out again.

I am not immune to Sudden Silence with Bird Song Ambiance.

Seems I haven't evolved since that first run of Partners in Time after all. I definitely just jumped this boss to death over the course of an hour.

Okay. Say what you will about the game, but "UGH. PEOPLE." have to be the funniest last words for a final boss to utter. (Turned out there was more, but I maintain this would have been best.)

Not gonna lie, I didn't believe this was a new VA and not Martinet until I saw the credits. He's spot on-- it's really impressive.

My final takeaway from playing Brothership: I think I need to get my eyes checked. My depth perception is. Bad.

For real, Brothership was a good time. There are definitely some issues I would raise-- like the soundtrack's comparative weakness, a relative lack of interaction between the title characters (which is something I have a habit of harping on), and the game itself having the subtlety of a flying mallet-- but it was still engaging, and there was a lot to enjoy.

I'm still kind of disappointed my prediction about someone getting glohmed as a result of hiding underneath a drain pipe didn't pan out a la bean fever, though.

Also me and crossie have accepted the theory that the reason that werewolves are so angy is bc the transformation uses a lot of energy and they’re actually just hungry

 so... recently. i was kind of going back through logs, kinda glancing at like- some character stuff for my AU, and i found something i was ranting about- something that... I don’t know, I haven’t seen a ton of people talk about??? im sure there’s been some but. well. let’s get into it, huh?

shiromori comes off, a lot I think, as a figure that doesn’t give a flying fuck about anybody but herself. that doesn’t need to care about anything else, and makes a lot of evil smiling faces, etc. she likes being a bad bitch, and hey man, if i was an ancient tree demon maybe i would like it too!!! who knows! i can’t blame her for that! but... in the future. she... she barely smiles. there’s a noticeable tone shift.

and of course. this is the reason, right here. mystery and shiro’s dynamic has always been quite an interesting one, but... well. the second she sees mystery has someone else now... it’s not so fun to play the bad guy anymore.

and this is noteworthy- he never actually hurts her. he pulls the move above, yeah. but it’s something i think he knows she’ll walk away from. he only defends vivi. he only behaves offensively once, and even then, we’re not really sure it’s even... him in control. 

and when she gets hurt.

mystery defends her. look at the way she’s looking at him in this shot.

she can’t believe he’s doing this for her. that he’s looking out for her, possibly for the first time in hundreds of years. this is absolutely heartbreaking. this is what convinces me that mystery completely abandoned her. sure, we don’t know why. maybe he had a good reason. but it doesn’t change what he might have done.

and he asks vivi not to kill her. this is a specific, undeniable request. he is asking vivi not to hurt her. there is nothing else this could mean. vivi seems to get the message, too.

and she... this... expression reads to me as... hope. hope that, for the first time in so long, maybe he’ll stay with her. maybe he does fucking care about her. maybe he gives a shit, and he’s gonna stay, and be there with her.

and he knows. there’s no way he doesn’t know. this is guilt. this is absolute guilt. 

and then???? 

he fucking abandons her again. he walks away. he registers the look on her face. their history. everything. and he does it anyway. why??? i dont know. i really dont know all the pieces of this puzzle, but until we do, this reads as a real shitty move on mystery’s part.

so you know what????

i don’t blame her for this. i don’t blame her, because he abandoned her again. she’s acting out of pain, and fuck, i would be so angry and hurt too. i don’t think she needed to involve vivi, but... well, that’s another topic.

bitch please you shoulda known she might do something like this.... c’mon man

and then. of course. it happens. of course she goes in for the big leagues. and she’s not having fun anymore. none of this is fun anymore. this is pure pain.

and now. now is when he finally goes on the offensive. although, as i said before? note the green. we don’t even really know if this is mystery or not.

and she goes in for it!!!! and. yeah she looks scary as hell in this but... she’s blinded by her emotions and rage. kinda sounds like someone else we know, huh?

and we don’t see this confrontation. i think that’s for a reason. we just see mystery rolling away. thing is, i wonder if the reason she was able to land this blow was because he pulled back a bit. yes, he still hurt her, and we see it- we see her open heart but... you have to wonder if the reason that he got hurt... like... seemingly worse, was because he didn’t do as much damage as he could have done. i think he might have restrained himself.

and maybe she didn’t expect that. maybe she hoped, or thought, he would go all in. and protect himself somewhat. maybe she didn’t expect to hurt him that badly. i think we’ve already fully established that, deep down, she didn’t want to hurt him at all to begin with. she just... wished he hadn’t hurt her. that he cared about her.

and thing is, folks? he does. he 100% does. he’s fucking horrified. 

this is immensely painful. he does care. he fucked up, he made mistakes, his mistakes led to this. and it’s mortifying. and you know what? he trusted vivi too. he trusted vivi not to hurt shiro. he asked her not to, didn’t he? he trusted that she wouldn’t. and then she did.

and all he can fucking do is watch this. watch her reach out to him. he’s hurt her so much. she’s hurt him too, likely, though we haven’t see tons and tons of evidence of this. just her being sneaky and devious. but like... this is it. this is, seemingly, how their story ends. through the injuries they caused one another. 

and thing is. yeah, a lot of this is on him but. not all of it.

he may have caused the events leading up to this moment.

but he was not the one who ended her tragic, and heartbreaking tale. he was not the one who turned her into a husk. only one person did that.

and i think? i think that said person may very well be his next target.

More canons on medium!Arthur:

He discovered that he was a medium accidentally, to be more specific, in one of his cases, he ended up using his medium powers to defend his friends and.. Then he fainted, terrified by the shock.

He is a class one medium, these are known to be somewhat weak, since they do not know how to control their powers well. Those who belong to this class are usually those who know absolutely nothing about the existence of their abilities and what they can do with them.

After getting used to using his powers in some of the investigations, with the passage of time he became a class two medium. This made him more versatile to be possessed by the spirits, for which Vivi he had no choice but to make several amulets to avoid that.. Although Arthur is able to control whether or not ghosts enter his body, but that depends on several things ..

His skills consist of several types of telekinesis, psychic powers, certain manipulation of electricity (although he does not use it as much because it tires him too much), and easy communication with the spirits.

Lewis noticed something in Arthur the first time he saw him in "Ghost", only that he ignored him because of his desire for revenge and because the boy wore a protective amulet (the star pin) in his orange vest. If it had taken time to see it better, it would have occurred to Arthur that Arthur was literally radiating a radiant aura of yellow-orange light into the spiritual world.

Normally the people who obtain these skills are pure of heart and soul, always putting others first than themselves. Arthur is all this.

The Kingsmen family has a great record with the supernatural and the colossal, literally, too colossal. Some of Arthur's relatives were detectives or paranormal investigators who were well-known in their times, besides these (including Lance and Arthur) they were and are descendants of a king that lived centuries ago.

Arthur is the reincarnation of Arthurus (but normally called only King Arthur), the King Of the Round Table.

Interestingly, it is common to find several psychic mediums in the Kingsmen family, it seems that this is predestined ..

I’m really curious if they’re gonna use that song in the next animation, it feels intense enough for what is gonna happen next.

That and I think it could mix well with the definitely confusion and terror Arthur will go through. I mean, he saw Mystery’s real form (which he doesn’t had fond memories of), found out his missing best friend is dead, Vivi is hurt and he probably has to run from their dog/kitsune friend possessed by a very familiar green demon/thing.

Now he’s probably regretting his suggestion of that road trip.

A few notes about Mystery’s tails (The Future spoilers)

So just to start out, we see Mystery had 6 tails during Ghost.

Then during most of The Future, he has 7 tails. He has 7 from the moment he changes in the beginning and bites his arm. He may have had 7 during the small shot we saw of his kitsune form in Freaking Out but it was hard to tell with how the shots were ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I think there may have concept art around that time with 7 tails? Maybe the 7th appeared with Lewis’s death, since the 6 tails shown in Ghost was a flashback of the cave?

Then Vivi gets hurt by Shiromori. We see this blue energy burst out of Mystery’s heart and an 8th tail appear.

Then he gets hurt and Vivi smacks Shiromori’s heart out of the park. Mystery looks horrified as she crumbles and now white energy bursts from his heart. Now we see the 9th tail appear, and Mystery faints.

Mystery then is possessed by the spirit of the cave, likely due to the emotional stress making him let his guard down. Also supported by Arthur’s conflicted emotions being implied to make him a target for possession. A weak heart likely = easy possession.

(The colors I find interesting since they seem to pertain to certain people (or even events). Shiromori was white (fitting since Shiromori means “white forest”). Vivi was blue. Yellow could’ve been due to the incident with Arthur’s arm and maybe pink for Lewis’s death?? But there’s obviously a lot more going on here and the seeming connection to his tails is a tad confusing. Could it just be a case of his powers going out of control due to the distress? He’s been concealing himself for sometime so??? It’s hard to speculate on that point with the little it we’ve seen so far. )

Note: Mystery does seem to have 9 tails in Hellbent during the quick flashbacks with Shiromori.

Some notes about Kitsune from various folklore:

The more tails they have the more old, wise, and powerful they are.

They can shapeshift, though typically into humans.

Some tales say they have a hard time hiding their tails while shape shifting.

They gain tails as they age. They get their 2nd tail at around 100 years old, and the 9th at 1,000 years old.

9-tailed kitsune can be white or golden colored. They’re called Tenko at this stage and considered celestial beings.

Kitsune associated with Inari are also white. They are called Zenko.

Kitsune are true to their word, and may sometime attach themself to a household to repay a debt.

They will use their powers to help their companion as long as the human treats them with respect.

They are generally mischievous and cunning, and will play tricks on the arrogant, prideful, and greedy.

They can create illusions or visions.

Do with all this what you will. Add to it, correct it, whatever. I’m just trying to get down all my observations before forgetting and returning to the void.

Trying to make sense of parts of Future (Mystery Skulls)

Since my last analysis went so well I thought I’d make this post as well, especially because Future really did confuse me and I know others might be lost as well; so lets discuss this together! It will be lengthy as I am basically spewing my thoughts out right on the videos immediate release date (there will be a read more option after my first thought to avoid long positng). Well first things first, I wanna address that I've been curious about what kind of spirit Arthur's arm could be (since I am not too well acquainted with any canon on its background part at least) and I think I have concluded that the closest thing to it could be is a Tenome; which is a Yochai that possesses a man's body and moves the eyes to the palms. "found lurking in cemeteries, hands outstretched, as if he has only recently lost his vision and is searching for something. Get close enough, and you’ll find out in quick succession that a) he’s not blind, but looking with eyes embedded in his hands, and b) what he’s looking for is a snack." (fyi, most of my mythos information is coming from Wiki just as a heads up)

And sure enough he found a great source for his hunger. Something he has been EYEING since the start. Which now leads me to my next points on the video...

At first watch I was convinced that each strand found on Mystery’s heart represented a singular soul bond, I thought that blue was for Vivi, Green was for the hand, pink for Lewis, purple for Shiro, Yellow for Lance, Orange for Arthur, and black and white were unknown. Which, didn’t settle right for me. SO I went in and re-watched the clip a couple more times and saw this:

Vivi’s (blue created after she got hurt) and Shiro’s (white created after she died) strands were connected to the strands located next to them. A start and an end. Mystery’s promise to Vivi to stay at her side for generations as he was spared upon prior defeat of Mushi. And then of course we have the promise of power and sustenance for Shrio as they held a symbiotic relationship for most of their lives that was only severed due to an interference. These double strands of fate are especially clearer in the scene with Shiro in Future. As the black strand gets clearer the more she gets injured or emotionally hurt, it eventually leads to the leak of the white strand on her death. Meaning; Black/white=Shiro; Purple/Pink=Lewis; Blue/Green: Vivi; and Orange/Yellow: Arthur. And why am I inclined to believe Lewis and Arthur are apart of Mystery’s heart? Well that's because those two were the only ones fully streaming before Vivi’s and Shiro’s appeared. We know that Arthur lost an arm to Mystery and discovered his identity (ergo losing most of his trust in him) insinuating both strands to arise early on of his color scheme, as well as with Lewis’ death occurring under the protection of Mystery when they were grouped and having his soul go restless/ in pain. It wouldn’t make sense to add family members or side characters not included in the mainline story to this grouping unless they would play an important role in the finale, which isn’t likely since we have only one more video left as Ben stated it was going to be a 5 video series. I am also inclined to believe each person has two strands because of Kitsune lore: “ Kitsune keep their promises and strive to repay any favor. Occasionally a kitsune attaches itself to a person or household. They follow their word of honor. They become self-destructive if they break a promise, and when someone else breaks a promise, they become deadly enemies.” Plus, It would make sense as to why in this short battle Mystery sprouted his last 3 tails when it came to Vivi and Shiro and how their connections affect his power. (more on this in a bit) But, furthermore; if anyone else notices, the Band-Aids on the heart are also remotely located on the sections of Vivi’s and Shiro’s strands specifically because for both, Mystery has vowed to protect them and has failed. 

Now then lets talk about a few things on Mystery’s ultimate form shall we? The final form of a Kitsune, its celestial form as shown here is called a Tenko. (yes I am aware of the Kumiho, but that is a fully evil, flesh eating, 9 tailed fox that specialize in illusions and well Mystery has never been portrayed as human). The Tenko makes even more sense when taken into consideration that Mystery’s third eye (typically a form of wisdom connected to overpowering the mortality of ones self) opens. So how was this done in such a short amount of time? “Kitsune do not accept aid from those who are not willing. they do not ask for help, and as such, most aid must come from another's initiative. Kitsune are emotional and very vengeful. Kitsune will lose their temper at the slightest provocation. Once someone has earned a kitsune's enmity, the kitsune will begin enacting revenge that can become quite extreme. On the other hand, those who have earned a kitsune's trust and loyalty will see a friendship that can last through many trials. Freedom is very important to the kitsune. They do not accept being forced into something they do not wish, and do not like being bound or trapped. Doing so weakens the kitsune.” Mystery as we know is very much controlled by his emotions, going head first into things constantly based on reaction and his inability to control his power under distress. His tails arose in the fight sequence every time he fulfilled his oath AND used 100% of his form/power. Therefore, his tails grew because he wasn’t holding back anymore, not his grievances, not his appearance, nor his hesitance in his evident distress of being bound to two entities that both required his aid.  My last note on these images comes from a tumblr user’s reverse audio clipping (https://nebulous-rain.tumblr.com/post/633555549749952512/ok-so-yknow-that-one-reversed-part-of-future). The rewind of the clip of Mystery’s transformation plays “When I’m With You”, which yes, cool a possible Easter egg to the next song! BUT what is this song about? Let me just bring up the first line of the song: “You got me hanging by a THREAD...I wish I could turn back time...I wish I could rewind life...” and before the chorus “I’m gonna make it right”. We know that this can refer to rectifying the wrongs of Lewis’ death, but more accurately to do so we need to defeat the evil inside this mutt that is pulling the strings of this whole fiasco. And this might just be the intro portion of the next mystery skulls mind you as we’ve also gotten many false starts with the previous two videos where hellbent used “every note” and future used “enemies” alongside the main song. BUT WE HAVE TWO YEARS ANYWAY, WHY BABBLE ON ABOUT THIS. LETS MOVE ON!

Hearts in this series have not been just for identifying the dead or for aesthetic purposes, they are the life force of each powerful legend. I am actually surprised to see Shiro have a heart as she started off as a creation from Mystery and therefore her lifeforce is just his blood and without it she is nothing. I am curious about her color pallet though, her heart is purple and pink. Lewis’ is gold/yellow with touches of orange. And Mystery’s is just red, but it has a mix of everyone’s essence within it to keep it tied and whole. Shiro’s could be colored this way in reference to Lewis’ aid to help find her creator; which would explain why Mystery surrounds himself by color as he required outside help and how Lewis’ heart is yellow in reference to how recently Arthur helped him remember his friends/hidden memories. One thing we have learned about hearts is that they can be broken repeatedly and can be ripped apart from the body, but they can be repaired too through resolution/hope. Lewis restored his heart in hellbent by using Vivi’s flower petals and finding hope that he will get revenge, only for his heart to be repaired again through Arthur’s touch. Shiro may have withered away, but her heart is essentially not broken, she’d need Mystery to restore it as it was flung into space (and that again relies on Mystery finding his sanity and finding it in himself to even bring her back). And as for Mystery himself, he’s gonna need the whole gang to reach out to him to extract the parasite within and restore balance. I really want to know more about the heart properties and how they give their users their powers as well Vivi is able to summon her strength through a material connection (bat) that function in its own way as the vessel a heart does since its connecting her to her ancestry.

NOW to finalize, I offer you two queries:

WHO IS ARTHURS HAND REACHING FOR!? I know it seems like Mystery, but that would be counter productive for the hand demon if he has Arthur interfering with his control. Is it still after Lewis as we’ve seen previous times where his arm acts up only in Lewis’ presence and when specifically other “magic” is at play? If so, is the goal to ward off Lewis and Vivi from defeating Mystery? Is Arthur gonna use the arm to find his own power as we’ve seen when he is able to momentarily cease control of it he kinda ruins anything electrical he touches and well, electricity is currently running rampant in there.

and lastly, I am really curious how touch sensitive hearts are, We know that even the smallest of brushes can detect memory/links to the person holding it (as seen with how Shiro managed to get soul flowers in hellbent), but the fact that Lewis was so in touch with the feeling of Arthur EVEN THOUGH ARTHUR GRABBED HIS HEART THROUGH HIS METAL HAND MIND YOU!, that he still managed to feel the disturbance instantly. So my question is, is the touch sensitivity reliant on how close someone is to someone? I would like to say yes cause when Shiro touched his heart he didn’t react instantly, he felt her rummaging his memories and was awoken, but he didn’t kick her butt by fully reforming until after she had long since stepped on his heart and then forced the memory of Mystery to arise. But yeah, its a nice little detail.
