Lately, my favorite bit has been doing the usual cat baby talk like, "Aw, you're just a little kitty, huh? Just a little kitty cat?" and immediately pivoting, straight-faced, into "No one can change who they are in this world."

Trying to figure out why I've had Big Shot stuck in my head for the past half hour, and just realized it was because I tried to let the dog out and had to encourage her, thus uttering the words, "Well now's your chance."

Welp. The cat has once again made her opinions known.

She boosted herself up to the bookshelf and tried to bat Emmet down-- but only Emmet.

Updates:

The boys arrived a day ahead of schedule, which feels very thematically appropriate.

Even in separate boxes, they were labelled "A" and "B" which struck me as funnier than it really is in the moment.

My cat did not like Emmet. She sniffed Ingo without issue, but I guess something didn't pass the vibe check when we moved on from him.

I still haven't put up this fuckin' shelf, so they live with the plants for now.

Been listening to a Ghost Trick stream lately, and I never put it together before but like... it definitely rubbed off on me, in terms of writing and tone, huh.

For reasons that aren't worth getting into, I've come into ownership of Entirely Too Many Beets. No idea what to do with these things, and I have yet to come up with a plan.

That said, every time I pass the box, something in me whispers "ingredience" so I guess there's that.
