two posts in a couple of days? who am i? i’ve been studying german so i wanted to make a special post for it. i wrote two short paragraphs, one about my favorite words in german and one about which languages i want to learn next. then i looked up the words in the next unit we’ll talk about tomorrow, and lastly i did the exercises in the workbook 🤓 absolutely love to be more prepared than my classmates.

My eye was terribly sore most of the day, oops. Dunno why, maybe need some eye drops or something... in the end, decided to put off writing letters for now, and just practice a bit with Babel and did some of my homework owo

Also, I found some very helpful videos on youtube! Maybe tomorrow I'll finish my homework and make notes on them :з

Since I started learning German I have always said that someday I’m going to randomly message my bf (who’s native language is German) in it.

I have now decided I hate myself and made that “someday” his birthday. So, I now have less than a year to get from where I currently am to being able to write one of my usual excessively long birthday message paragraphs entirely in German.

Why not just use a translator? A) It doesn’t feel as special. B) If I message him in German he’s going to assume I speak German to the level of that message and I’d like to actually do that.

Thankfully I’m not entirely clueless in German because I’ve been actively learning for a year now since I met him. However this still does not sound fun 😂. Gonna try my best though.
