there’s something to be said about the fact that janus is the most professional out of all the sides. i genuinely think that he’s the only side playing his part because it’s his job, and not because he has any personal feelings attached.
virgil showed signs of genuinely wanting to be accepted and loved by thomas and the other sides. logan definitely values thomas’s validation a lot and becomes sad when he doesn’t get that validation. remus.. might actually be the second most professional side. but since he seems to work under janus (janus sending him over to thomas and telling him what to do), i guess a lot of that professionalism comes from janus himself. remus isn’t as stupid as he seems obviously, but he doesn’t have a clear-cut agenda like janus does.
i just think it’s interesting to see a side who is only concerned with thomas’s well-being because it’s their job and they want to do a good job. even janus’s frustration at thomas not taking his advice and later his excitement about thomas acknowledging his points came off to me as someone dealing with their kinda shitty boss (no offense to c!thomas, i just imagine that’s how janus views him lol). of course, janus has some fun at his job but i mean, i would too if no one ever listened to me and i’m automatically labelled as the bad guy.
all of this is slowly beginning to change since janus seems to be getting closer to patton but i guess we’ll have to wait and see if they actually become friends or if they’re more like coworkers on friendly terms.

Just thinking about a vid that catalogued some of the most sampled drum breaks in music. Like “Amen, Brother“ and “Apache“... and just how much of it comes from funk traditions (mmm, bass guitars and sax and rock organ.... *chefs kiss*.)
The latter got me into the Incredible Bongo Band (which I’m just going “Heart Eyes Motherfucker” about rn)... and hot damn. They did a fun rendition of “In A Gadda Da Vida“. I just love the psychedelic supergenre of art/music. So much. orz
There’s a reason half my Creativity is a damn hippie.
It’s kind of funny think about how my dad’s taste in psych/prog rock was formative. Pink Floyd’s probably my favorite that he played a lot (which I’ll never not be amused how Logan mentioned “Comfortably Numb”.) And how I see Liam’s temperament being closer to Patton (which that scene has it’s own Dad energy in today’s moment and my own experiences) than Roman as a lighter and more sentimental (and trippy) side of my creativity.
Liam’s less Disney-centric or fairy-tale like in aesthetic, more Yellow Submarine and all that jazz. Vibrant and bold colors, recursive fractal patterns, dreamlike surrealism... yeah.
Which there’s some fuzziness in boundaries with Mel. Surrealism can turn dark and nightmarish like a bad trip (”The Wall” was so damn haunting and it was great to grow up listening to it) - so that’s the kinda stuff she excels in. And some macabre, trashy, absurdist humor too, so she vibes more with Remus and she’s my main squeeze. Still amused she’s more temperamentally like Virgil though.
(But then again my creative pursuits weren’t ever as “extroverted” as theater/singing/acting. I was a visual artist, writer, and cellist.)

Actually, Jason Todd who is alive to the public again and decides that he's going to have the worst, most unhinged persona (with a limit, just so they don't think too much of it)ever so Bruce thinks it twice before dragging him to anything
He's a total mess of a celebrity, Brucie without the Playboy part and instead, he gets on calling out other rich assholes with sass and passive-aggresive talk, like 'Oh, Mrs. Sanders- Ah, right, Miss White, is it now? Sorry, it's hard to keep up with the fift divorce, i imagine you'll put some of the half you got this time to our charity instead of on more wine?' while also acting as a sweet daddy's little boy who can do no wrong and it's just 'trying to make some friends'
He still has the strong moral compass and the sweetheart part of the act, but he can't put that many himbo moments here and there (everyone knew he had good grades and shit, thanks to Bruce 'did you know my son is the smartest ever?' Wayne) but he does nerd literature moments (that aren't even a lie) to throw people who like to show off but don't know shit
So, a lot of people hate him and he loves it
He only slightly changes the act when interacting with children for the fundation and programs you bet your ass he got Tim and Bruce to make, instead of the call outs, he goes for lighthearted irony and talk like 'Oh, You didn't know? I heard that Deliah, yes Deliah Olson, is now going on a grape-candy solo week? Can you believe it? I thought she couldn't like without chocolate!' and ish like that
And what are the adults going to do about it? Call out the son of the richest man in Gotham? The one who to him seems completely innocent? The one, who you know, he lost once and now seems very protective of? Jumping out a window is a faster way to die
Bruce loves him, but he's starting to only take him to the fundation events so he's on his best behavior

guys I’m thinking too much again.
Tumblr media
we as a society moved on from Lilypadton way too fast. his existence raises so many questions.
Did Patton know that he could do that? If not, why is he not freaking out? And also why is he so quick on the croaking joke, he just tied C!Thomas to a train track? If Patton did know he could do that, did the other sides know? Did C!Thomas know? I get that Janus is a snake because C!Thomas associates snakes with trickery and deceit, does that mean that C!Thomas associates frogs with morality? If so, why? Is it just for the lilypad pun that C!Thomas didn’t know would work until he learned Patton’s name only a few years ago in universe? Wait what’s the Sanders Sides timeline? Is it still 2019 in universe? Anyway why is Lilypadton so muscular? Why does his voice sound like the narrator from Trivia Murder Party? How did writer Thomas do that voice effect because I actually really like Lilypadton’s voice? Can Patton just bring out the Lilypadton voice whenever he wants because that would actually be really cool? How high can Lilypadton jump? He broke the ceiling (and half the wall) just by standing so I imagine he could jump pretty high. What’s Patton’s opinion on frogs? Are they like brothers to him or is it like a beauty and the beast situation where he doesn’t like being a frog boy? Are Lilypadton’s glasses doing anything for his froggy eyes at all? Can he see at all? Is that why he hit C!Thomas with the jumble of words?

Sanders Sides theory (rant). I know im mainly a mh acc here but I have thoughts i need to get out there
(just fyi this theory is Roman centric, I know most TSS people nowadays are talking ab Orange and Logan so if Roman's not interesting then continue on 🔥🔥)
(Also slight TW, talking ab the sides "ducking out" and depression themes, so yeah👍👍)
Okay so. I was scrolling through Sanders Sides theories and found that no one seems to have this theory, even though I thought the Roman angst enjoyers like me would be writing this all over the place but. Ig that means I need to talk about it.
I've had this theory for years now, since the day I first watched SVS Redux.
I think Roman is going to duck out.
I dont know if I have to explain why but. I mean, just looking at the explosive end SVS Redux had will tell you a lot.
He doesn't belive Patton when he tells him they love him. He thinks Thomas has lost all faith in him in favor of the person Roman views as the epitome of evil. He's been switching views left and right to stay on Patton's side (because Thomas prides himself on his morals), but he always ends up doing something wrong - he always ends up as an antagonist. He no longer believes that he is the one thing that being has kept him stable since "Am I Original?" - Thomas' hero. The only side he has a stable and positive relationship with is VIRGIL of all people. And tbh that could quickly be ruined too. Logan is second, though, but that's EXTREMELY fragile, as we've seen.
Roman always does something wrong and it will and has sent him over the edge. From Roman's perspective, with a very flawed view of everyone around him, he is inherently the thing that flaws Thomas.
+ Roman is really dramatic obviously, so ofc he would do this.
When you look at Virgil's reasonings for ducking out, it seems plausible after everything Roman has gone through recently, too. I mean like:
Tumblr media
"I quit. Decided it wasn't worth it anymore"
Why would Roman keep fighting a battle he knows he will never win?
Tumblr media
"Well, It didn’t seemed like I was wanted. You all made that pretty clear any time I showed up."
Again, from Roman's perspective, he is constantly and consistently antagonized.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"If I wanted to stand around being insulted, I would've shown up I would've shown up in person like I usually do."
[same thing]
Tumblr media
"I actually think you were right to not want me around."
Roman fears that he is becoming the villain (as we see in SVS, SVS Redux and DWIT).
(In fact, Roman has already said something quite similar to that last one in sentiment.
In SVS Redux, Roman says this, which is pretty funny because of the dramatics and the stupidity, and does get shot down quickly, but I am begging you to listen to him.
"The blame falls to me. If you're missing that do-gooder drive... I think It's because I'm in the driver seat... And I'm an awful driver... Perhaps... Perhaps I should let Patton take the wheel.")
(2nd sidenote to the Virgil quotes, can we talk ab Thomas' acting again I just love how tired Virgil is in AA. He's so. Troubled. I love him.)
WAIT ALSO I FORGOT TO ADD THIS UNTIL I WAS AB TO POST IT-
Tumblr media
"I've always aimed to protect you,"
THIS!! First of all his face makes me so sad BUT SECOND OF ALL yeah. Roman core idk what else to say, you get it right.
"I thought I was your hero."
So yeah.
Anyway, I think the episode where Roman does this will be centered around depression. Without Roman, Thomas is depressed. Let me explain this further.
Roman is Thomas' creativity, imagination, ego, passion, love, wills and wants, hopes and dreams, aspirations and enthusiasm.
Without any of that, what is left? A guy who can't even will himself out of bed, but can still feel the nagging voice of reason and logic telling him how unreasonable he's being. A guy who cant will himself to talk to friends, family and loved ones, but can still feel sorrow for letting them down and worrying them. A guy who can't will himself to pursue creative content that he relies on for a living but can still feel anxious about letting millions of people down and never being able to create again. A guy who cant even make food for himself or brush his teeth, but still knows he NEEDS to take care of himself. A guy whose only creativity is activly trying to disturb and scare him.
So yeah thats really awesome idk.
Furthermore, I think the sides might be SEVERELY impacted.
It has been said many times over the series that the sides are purely figments of Thomas' IMAGINATION. so. Without Roman, I doubt anything would be left. Obviously, if Roman does duck out, I don’t think they'd all immediately just cease to exist because an episode still needs to occur, but I find it likely that they'd all start slowly fading or maybe even "malfunctioning", glitching, putting them on a timer to get back Roman and making it far more tense.
Is this theory weird?????? I feel like it's the natural progression TO ME but I've seen no one even getting near this and im just confused ghfhfhfh. Maybe it is kind of weird and im just too much of a Roman enthusiast. SORRY I LOVE ANNOYING WEIRDO FREAKS!!!! AND IF I WAS HIM ID DUCK OUT TOO BECAUSE NO ONE IS APPRECIATING HIM ☹️☹️☹️ EVEN THOUGH HE'S LITERALLY WHAT MAKES THOMAS DO THINGS. 🙄🙄🙄🙄
Anyway.
I also think it fits really well because of Prinxiety's parallels, such as:
(using the ship name just as a duo name because that's what I usually do I am not trying to push the prinxiety agenda although I am a fan of it ghfyfgfh)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Thanks everyone... Well, almost everyone."
And
Tumblr media
"I mean, it's cool to see you all trying to be helpful. Well most if you, but-"
The only difference in these two is obviously that Virgil just silently ducks out, while Roman has the entire "You make us better" speech, probably effectivly saving Virgil and Thomas, because it seems like Virgil was going to insist.
(Also another sidenote that I think everyone will agree with: WE NEED A "YOU MAKE US BETTER" SPEECH BY VIRGIL FOR ROMAN that is all)
Also. Who can forget.
Virgil saying that he tried to "duck out" and then
Tumblr media
"That's a thing you can do?"
😐
Do you understand what I'm saying. Do you. Huh.
Okay anyway.
Idk how to end this I feel like theres still more I wanna say but i forgot. In conclusion: prin up that xiety. Reminder that FWSA was real and not a fever dream. I lied this is actually prinxiety propaganda.
But Hey That's Just A Theory. A really quite depressing and sad theory. Thanks for tumbling down a hill with me 🫶

sander sides x bnha/mha bc I have brainrot (I'm sure this has been done before)
Logan: In UA Support Course, uses his power to ensure his gadgets work. Quirk - Logical Prediction; he can 'logic' his way through any problem, as well as use that ability to predict all possible paths, varying on likeliness. If overused starts to cause headaches.
Patton: In UA Hero Course. Hero Name: Morality. Quirk - Emotional Fog; he can release different color smokes from his body that manipulate the emotions of those who inhale them. The different colors relate to different emotions (yellow is happy, blue is sad, etc). He must be feeling the emotion to release respective smokes (can use memories to inspire each emotion, something he learned from practicing with his quirk).
Roman: In UA Hero Course. Hero Name: Creativity. Quirk - Imagination Manifestation; Can take anything from his imagination and make it real. Items made can affect things in real life, but he's only able to manifest anything on/with himself. He can't do things such as give himself new powers unless they include physical objects. Items/ideas crumble as he stops focusing on them. Takes a lot to master, can cause headaches and fainting spells if spread too thin.
Virgil: In UA General Studies. Quirk - Momentary Panic; when he gets too stressed, he speeds up to a point everything else feels like it slows down. He remains in that state until he calms down. By thinking anxiety-inducing thoughts, he can forcibly activate his quirk. Rarely uses his powers on purpose, side effects mostly unknown.
Remus: In UA Support Course. Doesn't do much in the Support Course, but can use his quirk to imagine how his gadgets would be made. Annoys Logan a lot. Quirk - Illusion Cast; he can create illusions that seem very real and can even sometimes make people believe they are. Typically uses it to gross people out.
Janus: In UA General Studies. Claims to hate heroes (no one's sure how he got into UA). Quirk - Deception; Can change the way people see with himself and other things. Occasionally mistaken as a shape-shifting quirk.
I think that's all my thoughts for now, let me know if you have any better ideas! (this is likely to be my only post on this since I have no way to really expand upon it)

God, I've been thinking about Remus and Patton in canon, but I haven't known what to say, but now with the finale being worked on, I feel like this is a good time to talk about this. Cause if you go back with a fresh mind (blocking out fanon concepts and just watching the actual material), Remus and Patton don't hate each other at all. In fact, in a platonic/foil kind of way, I think they complete each other, and work well together like Roman and Logan.
Remus never once in canon has insulted Patton. He has offered up uncomfortable ideas, but if anything, Remus has encouraged Patton. He gives him a creative blessing for sanitizing, and seems genuinely confused and surprised when Logan brings up Patton being an issue. Remus and Patton also bounce off one another, what with the creative thing in DWIT, but also in the asides with the "kill-joyman" bit and their interactions in the incorrect quotes (and who can forget the air fryer and Remus being genuinely excited and curious about it). Remus never intentionally goes after Patton, and when you would expect him to lash out at Morality, it's said to the group instead of him directly.
And if you look at Remus' few appearances in canon, Patton's presence actually seems to temper him slightly. DWIT, WMPG (Christmas 2023), incorrect quotes, and the asides are VERY light compared to WTIT. While you could call it a change in approach, it's really not. Remus always behaves this way toward Logan specifically, and in WTIT he is intentionally pushing the other far beyond his comfort. Patton not being brought up to help the issue intentionally makes Logan's problem with Remus worse. Which implies Remus does change his behavior slightly around Patton.
But, if Sanders Sides has shown anything across its run, it's to not underestimate the intelligence of any approach or person, regardless of how smart they appear on the surface.
So if Remus was trying to stoke what he imagines is important, he's not going to intentionally kill Thomas' drive by driving him to the brink. I think a lot of people forget that Patton is passion, not Roman. Roman is romantic and creative, but Patton is the actual feeling of passion and motivation for a project. And without that, Roman (and likely Remus) are just thoughts that get lost. And so it makes perfect sense for Remus to not actually hate Patton. Because Patton has never done anything to him, and is the only way that Remus can actually have his thoughts voiced out.*
*Remember that the Split is not canonical or confirmed. There's nothing saying that something like that happened, as Logan said it was "Like an ovum" which would imply this was how they were born. On top of this, if Remus was mad at anyone for separating out the sides like the Split implies, it would be Janus because he decided what was allowed and safe to be known. Patton probably was a contributing factor, but knowing how Patton reacts to changes in environment and nostalgia, I doubt Patton would've actively chosen to change something so drastically. I could make a whole post about this and why the Split isn't really corroborated in canon, but that's another discussion for another time.

I'm late this conversation but ppl going into weird kid fandom spaces and being surprised weird kids are there is so frustrating. imagine walking into a kitchen and getting mad you saw a fork
also the whole shipping thing is so odd to me "you can ship xyz because they're not canon/they don't interact/they're real ppl" my brother in christ I used to ship Thomas Sanders in a prince costume with Emo Thomas Sanders. if you can't figure out how to ship two characters you're not trying hard enough
-baby fever anon
hehe yeah I think a lot of post-covid fandom babies don't know the roots in which fandoms were created were not perfectly logical/moral/aesthetically pleasing foundations, everyone just does whatever they want to do

sanders sides
hello the special interest brain rot has hit once more and I’m writing it here because :)
okay so currently for characterizations:
Red “Roman”: Fanciful/Dreams/Passionate Side, However I feel is growing to be more representative of or taking more responsibility for C!Thomas’s Motivations. Presides over Left Arm, Brainstorm Mode, and Summons things very easily. Has a sword. One of the Primary Sides and Colors. Prince of the Imagination. Insecure and working on it. (?) Arc in progress.
Orange “REDACTED”: theorized to be Wrath or some form of Rage, based off of all of the ostrich sized Easter eggs. *See the “See/Speak/Hear” theory below*. Previously seen as the orange fruit (Thomas doesn’t like fruit? 🤔), and possessing Logan’s Eyes as he finished ranting his arc motivations to remus. Notable uses of the color include as text in the SvS redux game, saying “hello” using *upside down calculator* (👀) speak.
Yellow “Janus”: Deceit/Self-Preservation, and recently accepted, or, at the least working hand in hand with patton. Can silence/repress any of the sides, disguise self as any of the sides, and also can summon things when inside the mindscape. Has a shepherds cane. I feel like has a strong or at the least secure ego after being resisted on the mere basis of his presence alone and continuing to offer arguments without giving up. He responded after Roman made fun of his name yes, but like that was fair, and even though it hurt, it did give insight on how much Janus knows about Romans insecurity. Primary color.
Green “Remus”: Intrusive Thoughts, and by extension repressed thoughts?? Can conjure out of the mindscape, cast shadows over vision(?), allergic to soap. Carries a Mace. Duke of the Imagination. Chaos incarnate and ego doesn’t GAF. My theory is, because of the unique connection to repressed thoughts, he can bring out the repressed sides when out of Thomas’s direct consciousness’s “line of sight”. Maybe teams up with Janus for that ability? Idk.
Navy Blue (Dark Blue) “Logan”: Logical Thinking/Rational Thoughts/Local Librarian. Has incredible memory recall and database. Carries or Conjures Flashcards. One of the Primary Sides and Colors. Only side to not reveal own name. Closest contact with the orange side. Wants to use the chemistry degree. Mid Arc. Secure Ego is struggling because of arc.
Light Blue (Cyan) “Patton”: Morality/ the Feelings(??). Head honcho like Joy in Inside Out. Can use Nostalgic/Sensory memory. Can turn into a giant frog when overwhelmed? Possibly a primary color? one of the primary sides. Unstable ego/sense of Thomas’s self.
Purple “Virgil”: previously black color. Anxiety/Fight or Flight. Increases anxiety levels in whoever, eyeshadow levels indicate anxiety, can magnify and multiply voice, can also make things darker. Has built a more secure ego, but is still defensive at times. Pet spider. Theory is that paranoia is old version? Future version? Coexisting part that needs stability which makes sense.
color theory:
complimentary colors- the characters at odds to each other. Red green/Yellow Purple/blue orange. the first two groups don’t like each other like at all. HOWEVER, i think Logan and tangerine would work together??
also, Primary Colors- I think Janus, Logan, and a form of creativity(?) are the oldest. I think it took time before orange, patton, and Virgil were developed. But! I think the creative split happened latest, with remus and Roman being youngest in the group unless patton is cyan in which case I think that uses green so then patton is youngest which is SO FUNNY.
see, hear, speak: ???
Janus= can hide other sides entirely, can silence other sides entirely, I don’t think effects ears directly
Remus= can make other sides quieter? (Could also be just movie making and focus), can make the screen black, I don’t think effects other sides mouths directly.
virgil= can make voice louder/multiply, can make the screen black, I don’t think effects ears directly
orange= effects eyes “blinded with rage”, I don’t know anything else ʅ(◞‿◟)ʃ
now you may be asking why is a primary color getting the perks of the secondary colors?? I don’t know. It’s a darkside thing?? I Guess?? Catholicism!
I love psycho analyzing my faves <3
and this concludes my note to self theory notes.
thank you Thomas sanders for my favorite special interest, giving my therapist an in to understanding/communicating with my brain, and for still sharing all of the fun you bring to content in such a wide variety.
it’s very weird and para social but I would love to give you a hug one day, and to share the PowerPoint I made in middle school as a leadership project based off of you and the sides (of which I saved the very enthusiastic and uninhabited script of a first special interest). I aspire to remain even half as busy as all of your projects. Absolute wildest dreams would be to work with you on a creative project.
does anyone know where to send fanmail? Is it just Twitter?

Loop #380
Mumbo: Ok, it is done!
Scar: What is- WHAT IS THAT!?!
Grian: Is that why you needed the power stone?
Mumbo: It sure is mate. I present to you the new and improved powers stone powered Buttercups mech.
Grian: It's great!
Mumbo: Doc stands no chance against it!
Scar: Wooho! big and large! My favorite combo!
Mumbo: ... U-uh. R-right moving on.
Scar: What!?
Loop #383
Scott: Thomas sanders, right?
Thomas: Yeah? A looper right? Whose place did you take?
Scott: Oh right right, I'll be your Creativity for this loop.
Thomas: Oh... can you tell me why my friends had animal features this time around?
Scott: Oh that is a thing from our loop that seems to have carried over.
Thomas: ... Wait...Ours?
Scott: Right! Morality!
Jimmy: Hello! First fused loop for me so I'm a bit nervous... Why didn't you just call me by name though.
Scott: Easiest way to introduce your role. Next, Logic!
Mumbo: H-here! I uh... I really should have been anxiety though.
Jimmy: Eh, I see it. You are like, really smart Mumbo.
Mumbo: Oh... thanks.
Scott: Well, since you mentioned her, Anxiety!
Pearl: Hello mate.
Thomas: My anxiety being australian I didn't expect.
Pearl: Yeah... did you know about this australian spider that can kill you and is basically impossible to see?
Thomas: This is going terribly.
Jimmy: Listen It's not that bad, right?
Thomas: ...
Scott: It is pretty bad... Thomas' sides are all fragments of his personality but we aren't...we are complex people It's difficult to do their job.
Thomas: ...
Scott: Take me, sure I'm colorful and creative and prideful and all about that jazz but I'm also rational. I can't give Thomas the same delusional and completely fantastical type of pure creativity and imagination that he needs.
Jimmy: Well I think I'm doing a good job as morality!
Thomas: You are It's just...
Scott: You are also prideful and get weird when you feel insulted so your flavour. morality is too emotional, you also aren't used to killing being a bad thing as the life series has multiple respawns and Empires has infinite which means that the most basic morals of don't kill and don't steal don't really come to you naturally.
Jimmy: O-oh... well, I'm trying.
Scott: And Mumbo?
Mumbo: Y-yeah?
Scott: I mean it in the nicest way...Logic is supposed to reign Anxiety in, not akwardly stutter whenever Pearl makes a point.
Pearl: What can I say, I'm right.
Scott: And Pearl, I know you are having fun with this but you are treapassing into intrusive thoughts territories way too often.
Pearl: Do I? I'm sorry mate, I didn't mean to.
Thomas: It's...it's fine, I understand It's hard I just-
Mumbo: U-uh can I say something?
Thomas: Y-yeah?
Mumbo: Uh...you do know Scott scottish accent is not really that strong right?
Scott?: ... Frick... Well, I knew it wouldn't last forever.
Thomas: Huh!?
Grian: Hello Thomas, I just couldn't stay back while...this happened.
Pearl: G! You cunt! You didn't tell us you were here!
Grian: Sorry, sorry, just wanted to keep the surprise a surprise.
Mumbo: Grian!? You are here!
Grian: Sure thing Mumbo.
Thomas: How did I not-
Grian: What can I say? I'm a looper, I'm really good at lying. Now, I have a few ideas to fix these issues.
Thomas: Ok, ok this is fine Scott I need some ideas for the video-
Scott: Already on it! Are you-
Scar: Have you ever tought about tasting human flesh? I heard and totally have no experience with it that it tastes like pig.
Thomas: What!? No!
Pearl: Scar!?! Grian, did you know about him being here too!?
Grian: Yep, sure thing.
Pearl: And you didn't say anything.
Grian: Funnier this way.
Scar: Ok, ok, what if you stole a bone from a grave and sold it to one of their family members!
Thomas: Nooo!
Scar: Hm...
Scott: Got anything else?
Scar: ... Uh...murder?
Thomas: Not happening.
Loop #387
Jimmy had known about this type of loop from Grian, still waking up with healing powers and stuck in a tower was a lot. Still Grian said he just needed to reach the castle, reunite with this loop's version of his parents and get mother gothel apprehended. Which he did, in record time he might add which meant he was surprised when the loop didn't finish immediately when Grian said it would. It lasted a while more actually, he even got a special guard-
Jimmy: Pearl!?
Pearl: Jimmy!?! Of course you are taking Rapunzel's place.
Jimmy: You are my guard now?
Pearl: Yeah, It's my sworn duty to protect you.
Jimmy: So... why did the loop not end?
Pearl: This is the extended version of the loop mate.
Jimmy: Oh. Oh! Ohhhh.
Pearl: ...
Jimmy: I don't know anything about it.
Pearl: Oh right, well... follow my lead, mate and you'll be good.
Jimmy: Ok!
Jimmy: That's...different from the healing incantation.
Pearl: Yeah, don't read it.
Jimmy: What why not?
Pearl: It's not going to be good.
Jimmy: Well now I want to read it!
Pearl: Jimmy no-
Jimmy: Wither and decay... see nothing bad.
Pearl: Don't the words not make you think about it!?!
Jimmy: Hmm... End this destiny... no! Break these earthly chains and set the spirit free.
Pearl: Ok then, I'm just going to wait here to tell you I told you so.
Jimmy: Nothing is happening. Wither and decay, end this destiny. Break these earthly chains and set the spirit free.
Pearl: Guess It's happening.
Jimmy: Wither and decay, end this destiny. Break these earthly chains and set the spirit free. Wither and decay, end this destiny. Break these earthly chains and set the spirit free.
Pearl: ...fuck.
Jimmy: The moonstone? It's pretty.
Pearl: Yeah.
Jimmy: So do I just grab it?
Pearl: About that, plans have changed.
Jimmy: Uh?
Pearl: Listen, I'm the PearleascentMOON, I have a bit of a thing going on.
Jimmy: Don't -
And then light enveloped the room.
Jimmy: I can't believe you tricked me for the bit!
Pearl: Oh C'mon, it was funny.
Jimmy: ... Power of the sun, gift me with your light-
Pearl: And that's my cue to go.
Loop #393
Jimmy: Wait, why did I get Mabel's place and you Dipper!?
Pearl: You tell me mate.
Jimmy: You know what? I don't care. This is going to be great anyway.
Pearl: You do know what happens in gravity fall, right?
Jimmy: Not really! Just the basics!
Pearl: ... Right. Don't get your hopes up too high.
Jimmy: Wait, what happens!?
Pearl: ...
Jimmy: I hate gnomes.
Pearl: Big L.
Jimmy: Not even king! Queen! They tried to make me wear a dress!
Pearl: Nothing wrong with a dress.
Jimmy: There is when I'm forced into it by small creepy men.
Jimmy: How do people deal with so much...this!?!
Pearl: Probably used to it, they live here. It would be weirder if they didn't.
Jimmy: I- I guess!? You know what, I'm going to make more sweaters.
Jimmy: Oh, we can't just leave Pacifica there all alone.
Pearl: But she's a-
Jimmy: You said she gets better though.
Pearl: ... Yeah but-
Jimmy: Pacifica! Do you want a ride?
Gideon: EGASSEM SDRAWKCAB EGASSEM SDRAWKCAB EGASSEM SDRAWKCAB!
Grian: Oh It's nice to be here! You must be Gideon then?
Gideon: What are- How do you know my name?
Grian: Oh, I know lots of things. Lots of things.
Jimmy: Grian!?!
Grian: Hey there Timmy, I told Pearl this would happen eventually.
Jimmy: Why are you talking to me?
Grian: Well, it is near the time when the puppet show happens, you just didn't make them.
Jimmy: ...What?
Grian: Doesn't matter, at this point Bill would posses Dipper but I don't really want to posses Pearl, a bit unconfortable for me.
Jimmy: I'm not letting you posses me G.
Grian: Oh C'mon, it would be funny!
Jimmy: Why do even want to?
Grian: The nightmare realm is just so boooring. I promise I won't embarass you.
Jimmy: ...I want control at least 75% of the time.
Grian: no way, 50%.
Jimmy: 70%.
Grian: ... 60%.
Jimmy: ... Fine.
Grian: It's a deal then?
Jimmy: Yes.
Pearl: Grian you-
Grian: What? I didn't do anything!
Pearl: You caused Weirdmageddon!?!
Grian: Oh come on, It's so much tamer then canon, i'd call it Tamemageddon even.
Pearl: Grian.
Grian: I even turned infinte respawns AND keep inventory on.
Pearl: Grian.
Grian: Look at Timmy, he's having a blast! Aaaand I know for sure someone wants to pratice using the moonstone and chaos magic together.
Pearl: ...
Grian: I'm not going to hurt anyone Pearl, this is all innocent fun.
Pearl: ... Fine.

I have gone insane after 2 days of studying without seeing my phone
So I present to you:
Sanders sides, but it's for Bruce Wayne. And each side is represented by different eras of batman. (cuz I am batman first and Bruce Wayne second and all that crap)
If ur not familiar with Sanders sides, it's a YouTube series where a guy has conversations with 6 aspects of his personality, where they would debate moral delimmas and other such things. But let's make it batman!
Morality would be the 60s batman, that campy, chummy persona with the blue suit and the eyebrows on the cowl, making quips and spouting life lessons randomly. The one who will call young men "chum" and "lad" and pat them on the back after a job well done. The one who's so idealistic and basic when it comes to the fundamentals of justice, but still does a good job to help others around him. Probably what a 9 year old Bruce Wayne would've pictured a superhero to be. That batman.
Logic would probably be the Dcau batman, I think. The one who really leaned into the detective aspects of the character, the "man with the plan" who had to come in with those smarts so they can pair him up with the justice league, and still have him as an important part of the team. The first thing someone would picture when you tell them "imagine batman"
Intrusive thoughts is batman from the Millerverse. I can't think of a better batman for that, no quelms about decency or being an actually good human being. He just does and says whatever he wants because he's the goddamn batman, yes, he did have sex with black canary surrounded by corpses. Yes, he did kidnap a child to groom him into being his Lil sidekick. And he'll do it again!
Now this is when I started running out of ideas, cuz I'm not sure what kind of batman era can be chosen to represent "anxiety" and "creativity" Sanders-sides style. So any Sanders sides fans who are also comic book geeks I would love to hear suggestions, or your own interpretations!
Oh, but I saved the best for last.
Because the mask, the character who is meant to represent the personification of deciet, is not batman–
It's Brucie Wayne.

Taste in books i think each of the sides on Sander Sides would have
Logan: Easiest side to tell since he says his book taste in canon lmao, mistery books guy, agatha christie, sherlock holmes, murders on rue morgue, he just really enjoys a good mistery (he’s just like me fr). He also probably reads books about scientific discoveries and psychological studies on a day to day basis (since he seems to have an answer for everything), either really likes or really hates sci fi depending on the scientifical explanations the books gives
Patton: Ok so, im gonna be honest, i don’t think Patton reads much? In fact hes probably the one who reads the least out of all sides, but he does seem to know his stuff, quoting studies in some episodes ( ‘Can lying be good?’ being the one who comes to mind ), so he probably reads a few articles about Morality and philosophy, also when i imagine Patton reading i imagine children’s books with deep messages like Dr Seuss, so personally i think Patton’s taste in books would be books like “The Tao of Pooh” which explains philosophy in a simple fun way taking inspiration from children’s media.
Roman: Roman’s my favorite side and although i would like to dump my personal taste on him i am aware that he canonically hasn’t read my favorite book and dislikes dark retellings of fairytales, leaving me to tears since those are my favorite kind of story. However i will indulge a bit and say that Roman would love Shakespearean plays ( His favorite would be Hamlet bc it inspired Lion King ) and typical fantasy books. Im also 100% sure that guy has a shelf full of Disney Movie Books like the novelization of Beauty and the beast and the villain’s origin books by Serena Valentino, also has those super pretty Disney Classics books ( lucky mfer ). And obviously he would have the original novels of multiple musicals ( Wicked, Be more chill, Dear Evan Hansen…) and some ballets/non-Disney classics as well (The nutcracker, The wizard of oz, Swan lake… ). Also Harry Potter i guess, since that’s canon 😒
Virgil: We all know what im going to say, Horror fan. Likes Edgar Allan Poe’s stories and classic horror books that inspired movies/series ( Carrie, Ring, the haunting of hill house… ), also reads a concerning amount of True crime about unsolved murder cases, and he has a special edition of the novel of The nightmare before Christmas somewhere trust me. And to self indulge a little, Dark retellings of fairytales, especially the Horror leaning ones.
Janus: I feel like Patton would read simplified philosophy books while Janus would grab shit like The gay science by Friedrich Nietzsche at the local library (never read this book, hilarious title tho), Overall i think Janus’s taste on books would consist of either philosophy and sociology books (especially the ones that annoying people read to keep gloating about how smart they are, except he actually likes them), and influential plays like Shakespeare, The Odyssey, The Iliad, Medea, Phantom of the Opera etc… His taste is the perfect combination of annoying Theater kid with pretentious philosophy kid (He is the guy they strive to be 😭)
Tw: Remus and everything that comes with him
-
Remus: YES, REMUS READS, YOU CANNOT CHANGE MY MIND ON THIS, The books he reads? Very simple, Dark romance and horror, the books are his inspirations for new creative ways to annoy the shit out of the other sides, he is slowly but surely making a list of new horrid murder and torture methods he learned via horror books, also dark romance for him is just romance since he thinks normal romance books are boring and lack taste, some other side definitely walked in on him reading once ( picture him reading on the sofa twirling his hair and bouncing his legs in a very stereotypical teen girl way ) and asked what he was reading only for him to answer something like “ ‘Taken Hostage by the Hot Mafia Boss’ :D” Also definitely read the Kam4 Sutr4.
-
Bonus: Remy/Sleep has a book detailing the multiple different ways on how to brew coffee and Picani has every Kids Show Book he could find ( Gravity Falls 3rd Diary, Star vs the Forces of Evil Book of spells etc… )
ALSO WARNING: If you want to buy any of the books i talked about here be aware there is currently a boycott of Disney and any other properties that have ties to the genocide committed by Israel!! And mainly, i would recommend to grab any book i mentioned in the library since they’re one of the only public community spaces that haven’t shut down yet, support your public library to make sure it stays that way!

My sides!
This is my own take on sanders sides, and my own sides. It's a longer post, so I shall save you all with a read more.
Morality/Justice: A given that’s similar to Thomas’ morality, though mine would lack the religious aspects of his. I think that my Morality would be very guilty for no apparent reason, constantly feeling like they’ve done something wrong. Though, they would also embody Justice a lot more. A sense of needing to stand up for others and right wrongs would be very strong.
Logic/Knowledge: Again, a given. I feel that my Logic would be a fair bit more relaxed, more similar to season one Logic (you know, when he still smiled). Logic likes math. I do not. We don’t completely get along, but I love my Logic.
Creativity: Similar to how Thomas’ Morality takes charge, my Creativity does! Mine isn’t split, either, allowing me to explore dark themes in my work without needing to consult two entities. They would likely act similarly to me, though more so me when I enjoy being extremely flamboyant/cartoonish. Again, similarly to how Thomas has said that Roman is a more feminine part of him as a cisgender man, my Creativity would likely be more of a figure that allows me to explore my gender and presentation. Considering my identity as both fluidflux and trans (FtM), I find it freeing to explore both femininity and masculinity. Instead of a Prince or Duke, I think my Creativity would either be a Monarch (being more inspired by actual history) or a Bard (more inspired by Dungeons and Dragons).
Anxiety: While I actually have an imagined little guy for my Anxiety (his name is Archibald and he’s basically a furry purple softball with human legs and sick ass shoes) my Anxiety as a side would follow the same side rules. That being me in a costume. I don’t think my Anxiety would speak much, opting for a more silent approach. When they do speak, it would be rather rushed and frantic, in an odd tone that manages to be both overbearingly loud and back-of-your-mind quiet at the same time.
Preservation: This side would take more of Deceit’s role. I don’t think that my own perception of Deceit and my relationship with lying would be enough for Preservation to become solely Deceit. I do think that Preservation acts as a bridge between Anxiety and Logic, trying to keep me safe in the most logical way possible. Preservation and Morality would still butt heads a little more, but I think that because of my own relationships with my different facets they would manage to get along a lot better. That would mostly be because my sides are not Thomas’. They are their own things, and Morality is also Justice. I don’t have Deceit– I have Preservation.
Instinct: While I have one whole Creativity, my Impulsive Thoughts are a separate side. This is due in large part to the fact that I don’t see those thoughts as a part of my Creativity, per se, more just as simple instinct. Hence why my Intrusive/Impulsive Thoughts are labeled as Instinct. They tend to put the others on edge, with Logic being the only one to be able to handle them effectively. Logic then does get Creativity namely to help with actually dealing with them, though Logic is the one that understands how.
Memory: An additional side that Thomas does not have, Memory encompasses both what I do remember and what I do not. The times I forget to text a friend back? Memory’s doing. When I’m minding my own business and suddenly Anxiety is in the back of my head telling me that one thing I did four years ago? Who do you think told them about that? Memory. Memory certainly has less influence on me than most of the others, but probably has the most influence on the other sides. Instinct is telling me to recreate that thing I saw in a horror movie? They asked Memory for specifics.
Notes on my sides and such:
I don’t have dark sides. I don’t have light sides. They are all my sides and coexist equally.
The Mindscape is an ever changing place. It has no static form, except for in Logic’s domain.
Each side has their own domain’s in the Mindscape:
Logic’s is an expansive library, often shared with Memory as it has a section dedicated to my memories. The books are all filled with information I have. There is also a section dedicated to the books I have read. There is a subsection of that in the corner of books I did not enjoy. It’s not a very large subsection.
Justice’s domain is changing as all of theirs, but often stays as a courtroom. The courtroom is where most debates are held.
Anxiety’s domain is likely the most unnerving. Of all places it flits between though, it often lands on a dance studio. Specifically the studio where a fair amount of my issues with Anxiety stem from. That and my Grade 4 classroom. A lot of the time, though, it’s just my bedroom. Specifically designed to ease my fears and nerves.
Preservation’s domain also lands on my bedroom most often, although theirs tends to match my current environment more than anything.
Memory’s domain changes frequently, but only ever adopts places I’ve been. It most often falls on my school, the lake where I go in the summers, or the houses I’ve lived in. I like it in Memory’s domain. Most of the time.
Instinct’s domain is… I don’t know what it is. I’ve never been. Though, from how the other’s describe it, I’m not sure I want to.
All of the domains form a pie-chart like shape. All but one.
Creativity’s domain is in the centre of all of them. It tends to take the form of a castle, or a forest, or a mediaeval village. Most influences are based in fantasy, though it also tends to be inspired by some things I think about at the time. For example, it will sometimes take the form of Gravity Falls, or Wartwood from Amphibia. Occasionally it’s in more sci-fi styles, though that’s less common. Creativity’s domain is where most discussion happens. When discussions are ongoing, a more “serious” style is chosen at Logic’s request. They end up discussing in a castle a lot of the time.
Logic and Creativity actually get along quite well. Logic is under the disposition that no art can be complete without a semblance of truth and/or reality (as am I), and Creativity is glad to have a beta reader for free.
Logic and Creativity teamed up to help me create my website.
Creativity is also in control of my hyperfixations, though even they can’t control what I like and when. They just decide what I do about it.
Creativity also takes the role of my feelings (similar to how Patton does the same for Thomas).
Anxiety is not a malicious force for me. Though, since my anxiety is caused by them they are the reason I feel it. To optimally take care of the nervous feeling in my stomach I must make sure Anxiety has been sufficiently appeased (Creativity lovingly refers to it as “feeding the beast”).
Morality and Preservation often work together, especially when I may be getting in trouble.
Archibald still exists here. He hangs out with Anxiety and screams at me.
Instinct is frequently around, much to my dismay. I can’t get rid of them, but I do what I can to deal with them. Rather, Logic does what they can to manage them.
In how Thomas’ sides all have their own archetypes (teacher, dad, emo, prince, etc), mine do as well! They are subject to change.
Creativity is either a Bard or a Monarch (I haven’t decided).
Morality, though their domain is often a court, is more of an activist figure. The Justice isn’t just for show.
Logic is a teacher as is Thomas’, but also gives off the vibes that they volunteer at the local library.
Preservation is a survival instructor (JOKING)
Preservation is actually [FINISH THIS SENTENCE XAV]
Anxiety mostly just looks like myself. In my sensory safe outfit and wearing my headphones. You cannot take off the headphones. They’re also always fiddling with something, be it the slug, a twist tie, or their own hands.
Memory is a parent.
Instinct is also just A Guy. They’ve got a deal but we cannot figure it out.
They also all have their own colours. They are subject to change.
Morality’s colour is green. Specifically the green used in parliamentary buildings in Canada.
Anxiety is red. Archibald is purple as always.
Creativity is purple because of the royal ties.
Logic is still blue.
Memory is black/other dark shades.
Instinct is white/other light shades.
Preservation is Safety Orange. Flat out the colour of a Road Work Ahead sign.

raven wings chapter one: spiraling smoke
A03 Link
note: ahh im super excited this is finally out!! massive and i mean massive thanks to Oatmeal_Archive, also known as @oatmeat-stans-the-trash-rat on tumblr and ChaosIsMyName, both of my beta readers for this fic!! they were both AMAZING moral support and oatmeal is a grammar wizard tbh. check out their stuff, they’re great writers!!
tags: Wings, Logic | Logan Sanders-centric, Winged Logic | Logan Sanders, Angst with a Happy Ending, Blood, Minor Body Horror, Minor Gore, Religious Guilt, Morally Neutral Morality | Patton Sanders (hes well intentioned just.. a bit messy), Light Sides As Family (Sanders Sides) (they care about eachother sm)
-
The wings shot out of his back like spiraling towers of smoke, and in the blurry bathroom mirror - they might as well have been. Logan carefully traced his fingers to where they poked out of his back, right under his shoulder blades and felt the muscles. They were real.
He didn’t hesitate before raising them in the air, arching over his head like a deep shadow in the dark light. He bit his tongue to stop himself from gasping out loud with his shock. It looked like a biblical portrait.
He ran his fingers over the dark feathers while thinking back to what could’ve caused this - to be fair, he didn’t have many leads. When he had woken up like this, he didn’t even realize he had wings at first. He could’ve sworn it was one of Virgil’s thick weighted blankets he often borrowed (not that he needed it), but he realized when he sat up.
They were real, that was at least proven - considering how as he stumbled to the bathroom, one of the wings dragging behind him knocked into the table and one of Patton's favorite plants smashed to the floor. He was lucky it was easy to clean up, and the pot was only a little cracked.
He let the wings fall back down to his sides, slightly rocking with their sheer weight. They were much more dense and strong then he had previously imagined. He hadn’t previously thought he could actually fly with them, but with this realization - there was a possibility.
He gripped as tightly as he could along the edge of the counter, and started to flap them as strongly as he could. The muscles themselves were young, and therefor weak. Despite this, after a second he was barely putting weight on his feet, and next thing he knew he was in the air.
He levitated just briefly, not breathing at all for that silent second. Then the wings gave out. He crashed back to the tile floor, scrambling to hoist himself up with the bathroom counter. It definitely bruised his ribs in the process (ow), but facing himself in the mirror - he couldn’t stand to count it as a disappointment.
He set himself back up right and let his thoughts flow. These were not.. particularly planned for, mayhaps, but they weren’t the worst possible change in the Mindscape. Really, the sheer convenience of them was worth their existence all on its own.
He also spared a thought for the possibility of the other sides’ reaction. Despite how emotionless he was, the thought of their wonder made something deep in his chest burn like a lit candle. He could imagine Patton awwing and oohing over the wings, while Roman insisting it was good potential for ‘adventuring’, and even perhaps Virgil finding solace in the thought that it was a safety net for Logan.
Though, for all he knew, these were an impermanent change. The mindscape did not often pull stunts like this. Despite the fact that the sides had small varieties, in the end, they all mostly resembled Thomas. Did any side even have any changes this significant, like animal features- oh.
Oh.
How had he forgotten?
(Thomas was young at the time. Patton and Janus were in charge, but it was more arbitrary then anything - they were all the same age in the end. King had seemed older, seemed more in charge, but now it was just the twins - with big eyes and little hands just like the rest of them.
There was distant yelling, and despite how far the voices were, there was no question who it was. Logan put his book down on his lap and looked up. Roman stared at him from across the room and frowned with concern. Jan and Pat had been arguing more recently. Logan nodded at the implicit question, getting up and taking Roman by the hand as they wondered down the hall.
The words became clearer as they became closer.
“I’ve told you that lying isn’t worth it, Jan.. Thomathy’s in trouble and I don’t know how long it’s gonna last!” Patton practically wailed, throwing his arms out through his distress and desperation. He was always emotional in these scenarios.
“You’re acting like I pushed it over myself. It is not that serious of an infraction, Patton. His parents will get over it!” Janus snapped back, arms tucked over his chest and face furrowed with his anger.
Thomas had knocked it over earlier while they were playing. Their mother had valued it a lot, but Thomas thought he could hide it by cleaning it up, with the encouragement of Janus. He got a shard stuck in his hand in the process, and their parents were now worried and furious.
Patton hadn’t coped well. Any time when they were in trouble, or needed to get treatment, he was the most upset. Thus, the intersection was the worst possible scenario. It made sense as he was the center for Morality and Emotions; he was prone to being upset. Nobody blamed him for that. The main issue was that he projected that onto Janus.
Logan turned to face Roman, who gave a steady nod as the argument droned on around them. Despite being the most ‘mature’, and therefor heads of house (so to speak). Janus and Pattons’ arguments could get ugly, fast. The other sides luckily had learned how to separate them in these scenarios and avoid such problems.
Logan motioned that he would take Janus and Roman could take Patton, their usual arrangement. Roman nodded in agreement. Logan was about to step in so they could object to this, but then he stopped. No. Something was wrong.
“Why are you acting so cold-blooded-” Patton yelled, his eyes welling up with angry tears, and Janus’s expression dropped. Despite everything - he hated such insults to a special degree. As if he didn’t care, as if he didn’t try, he would say every time.
Then, it happened. Scales tore through the skin under his eye and seemed to envelops half his face one quick go. His right eye was like a snakes, gold with a thin black slit. His teeth sharpened to little blades in his mouth.
The silence was overwhelming, and the tension in the air was so palpable Logan could barely breath. He felt Roman’s hand tighten in his, and he gripped back the best he could. Patton clamped his hands over his mouth and slowly paced back, hovering over Roman and Logan protectively in the process.
Janus’s expression went from pure single-minded anger and to confusion, then fear just as the rest of them. He spun his head around behind him for a second, clearly looking for the threat, before he put a hand on his own face. Then, he felt the scales.
He opened his mouth, and even now Logan wondered what he had planned to say - an apology? An explanation? Maybe he was planning to beg with Patton, or maybe he would of never been able say anything at all. It didn’t matter, of course, because Patton cut him off.
Patton clasped his hands together in front of his face, turned his head down and started to pray. He prayed quietly, as always. Once Logan asked him to explain why, and he said that he already had God in his heart - he didn’t need to speak anywhere else. Logan thought it cowardice, but he didn’t say so. Of course, that didn’t matter now - it didn’t take a genius to guess which prayer he was saying.
I come to Your refuge with joy for You shelter me against the attack of the Devil. Protect me, O Lord, from the craftiness of the enemy, and save me from his evil plots.
It was one of Patton's favorite prayers.
Janus stared, and Logan knew he wasn’t the only one to guess the prayer correctly then. Soft anger rested upon his expression. He hissed something under his breath - Logan couldn’t hear it, but Patton must have, because he turned his head up and stopped praying. The look was indecipherable.
Then Janus walked out, hands in fists but head held as high as always. Patton paced back to his room without even seeming to have seen Logan or Roman, and they both ran to their room after. Virgil, Janus, and Remus’s rooms were gone the next morning.)
.. Maybe these weren’t an act of the mindscape. These types of events, with the context of the incident with Janus, seemed to be after negative events. Nothing had occurred. (It was nothing.) This was simply just an accident, or glitch, possibly.
It was nothing that adjusting his form couldn’t fix. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, tracing his fingers along where the wings poked out of his skin. His flesh seemed to crackle as he tried to push the wings back into himself, letting the bones and muscle nestle into his back.
After a long, awkward moment of this, his skin wrapped back over itself and he placed a palm where the wing once sprouted from. Nothing.
He opened his eyes again and released a breath he didn’t know he was holding when he still was faced with nothing. He took a few deep breaths, glad that the problem was resolved. He shoved it back into the far corners of his memory. It was noth-
Then he felt it. Burning fire under his skin as bones and feathers reformed into one, with no care or consideration for the rest of his body, tearing muscles apart and shoving his ribs to the side. He covered his mouth, and when that wasn’t enough, he dragged his blunt nails against his cheeks in a desperate attempt to stay silent.
He tried his best to focus and attempted to disperse the wings once more, stop them from reforming desperately, lest they break through his skin. His entire back burned with pain at the attempt. He was sent careening downwards, gripping onto the counter for dear life.
He bit his bottom lip and before he knew it, blood was welling up in his mouth. Every attempt to try and calm himself, breath deeply or count, eventually just made it worse. He gasped and choked on air, while his lungs desperately strained to keep function. The pain was unbearable.
Virgil - Virgil had told him that after the incident, but before they left the Lightscape, Janus tried to get rid of the scales. Only once. Only once because the first time taught him to not try again, then Virgil had refuse to elaborate farther. Logan understood what he meant now.
The black wings finally broke through his skin and it took everything in Logan’s body to not scream at the top of his lungs. The world swam around him as he felt blood well up around the wings and drip down his back. He spit blood into the sink, and his entire body shook.
The pain slowly eased off of him until he could think again. He propped his head up in his hands and looked up, facing himself in the mirror. The wings were limp against his back, but now he could see the blood on them. They felt more like the burnt and charred wings of a fallen angel instead of anything biblical. He could practically hear Patton’s response, telling him he had fallen from grace. But.. maybe he didn’t have to be aware.
He cleaned the rest of the blood off of himself as gently as he could, before heading back to his room through the dark. He tucked the wings tight against his back and made a point to not spare the cracked flowerpot a guilty glance. After a few achingly long minutes of shuffling through his possessions as the sun rose, he got what he needed and returned to the bathroom.
He spread the items out on the counter, assessing them all equally. A typical black collar shirt of his, a tie, and a laced corset that Roman had left him. He picked up the corset. This could work.
He sinched the corset around himself with steady hands, tucking the wings underneath. Pain flared up and burst through the bloody things, which objected to being tucked so tightly. He bit his lip raw in the process, but by the end the wings were tucked sturdy against his back, if a bit painfully.
Then, he dawned the shirt and tie, and tried his best to see through all angles in the mirror.
It wasn’t the best disguise, that was to be sure. The wings poked out a little, harsh little spikes of bone against his shirt, but that was just because he knew what he was looking for. The other sides, even if they noticed the odd shape, would be unlikely to comment on it. At least, he hoped.
He barely registered the noise of Roman sitting up, and taking his usual morning stretch with an average amount of dramatic flourish. It was his turn to make breakfast, after all. Biting back his reservations, he fled to the kitchen.
////
“Popstar Padre - is it really worth it to give Janus a ‘fair place at our table’?” Roman ranted between thick bites of waffle, waving his fork like any weapon. “No offense, but the snake isn’t exactly the fair and friendly type that I want influencing Thomas.”
Patton wrung his hands, staring to the side, then down, then at the table. Anywhere but at Roman. Virgil looked between the two, with semi-wide eyes waiting for movement, before sighing deeply like he realized the task at hand.
“Sorry Ro- actually, not sorry at all, but got to agree with Pat on this one.” Roman’s face practically dropped to the core of the earth, looking like the world’s most kicked puppy, but Virgil continued without a hitch. “Janus can be.. the worst, definitely, but he’s getting better. We got to.. ugh, give him a chance, like you gave me.” Virgil’s face curled up like he was being forced to eat dirt with every word he spoke.
Roman snapped out a response, pointing his fork with an accusatory glare. Logan happily tuned out the words, for once content to fade into the background of a debate. The wings continuously shuffled underneath the corset, so having less eyes on him was for the better.
The argument droned on around him, like he was a rock in a river. Silently, for once, he ate his breakfast. Nobody noticed him and that was for the best. With luck, these would simply disappear in a week or two, and nobody would ever know-
“Lo?” The voice was thick with concern, and he nearly bit his tongue off attempting to not flinch. He hesitated, and then very carefully drew his attention back up to Virgil. His heart dropped at the mix of worry and suspicion that rested on his face.
“Yes?” He asked, after choking down a quick bite of pancake. The wings shuffled under the corset, and he cursed his stupid fleshform. Then Virgil put a hand on his shoulder, directly above the wings. He cursed existence, trying to keep the new muscles locked still.
“You’re quiet. You aren’t usually quiet. What’s wrong?” The words made Logan spare Patton and Roman a glance - knowing if they even got the slightest hint he was in any way, shape or form, wrong they’d get worried too. For once, seeing them continue on with their bickering was a blessing.
“I was making up for a small error in Thomas’s editing schedule last night and stayed up a little later than intended. I am simply tired from such activities.” The lie slipped out of his throat like honey. He was sure, with his luck, that Janus was about to pop up behind him.
There was a moment of silence, with Virgil practically glaring into his very soul. Thankfully, he oh so slowly he let go, suspicion still written on his face nonetheless. “Take a nap later. I mean it too, Lo. You aren’t Remy - you can’t do all nighters like that.” His expression softened slightly, and he turned to take a bite of pancake - instead ending up butting into Patton and Roman’s debate once more.
Logan practically breathed all of his lungs out and then some with his relief. His heart was pounding like a war drum. The wings shuffled awkwardly under the corset, trying to find a comfortable resting position again.
It was alright, he reminded himself with the logical part of his brain; Virgil was unaware. Realistically, Virgil would be the one of the light sides to care the least about his.. er, sudden change, but he’d rather not risk it either way, considering that the other option would be him caring the most.
(“You’re just like that fucking snake.”)
He shook his head to clear the thoughts from his skull, and the wings awkwardly ruffled once more under the leather. He was honestly shocked he hadn’t accidentally cramped one of them at this rate.
And then he felt a pair of eyes burning into his back. He didn’t dare look up, because he knew it was Virgil; he knew looking up would just make things worst for him.
Virgil slowly spoke, not like Logan couldn’t understand, but as if he struggled to form words. “Did-,” he hissed and Logan thanked God it was quiet, “did something just move under your shirt?” Fear laced his tone like a thick blanket, and Logan’s muscles tightened slightly.
He turned to face Virgil, carefully angling himself so the wings could fold behind his back and Virgil couldn’t see them. “Nothing moved under my shirt,” he said, furrowing his eyebrows in his best concerned expression. He felt like Janus with this much lying, “Virgil, how much did you sleep last night?”
Virgil scrunched up his face, making it very clear he didn’t believe a word that came out of Logan’s mouth. “No, no no nope,” he popped the ‘P’ for extra effect, “listen, Lo, I’ve already gone down the whole ‘did you sleep enough last night’ she-bang with Janus. That doesn’t work on me.” He insisted.
“It isn’t a trick,” he insisted as calmly as he could, putting his hands up and leaning back slightly for the best kindly demeanor he could give off, “I’m just saying that insomnia, or lack of sleep, can cause minor visual hallucinations - such as seeing something move under ones shirt, and I am aware you’ve struggled with such in the past.”
Virgil stared at him as hard as he could. Logan’s heart twisted with guilt as he watched Virgil’s expression drop, and he seemed to convinced himself that Logan was right and he was just seeing things. “Sorry,” he muttered, and turned back to his dish.
“It’s quite alright.” Logan insisted, turning back to his food himself just as quickly. It was for the best, he reasoned. No reason to tell Virgil and have him in charge of such a big secret, considering his anxiety.
They ate in silence for what felt like an infinite eternity. Though, Logan knew logically it could’ve only been five, ten minutes more. The argument between Patton and Roman slowly fizzled out, neither of them none the wiser to Logan and Virgil’s.. disagreement.
He finished his plate and got up, calmly announcing as he headed to the sink, “I believe the chore chart indicates that it’s Virgil turn to do the dishes, correct?” He asked, quickly rinsing off his plate.
Virgil nodded and said, “Yeah. I’ll get them once I’m done.” His voice was still the barest bit somber, and Logan could feel the way his eyes traced Logan’s back.
Logan gave him one last acknowledging glance and ducked down, before crumbling back to his bed. He automatically snapped his shirt and the corset off in one moment. The wings splayed out, exhausted and sore. He covered his face while they stretched.
He turned over and put his arms out. He counted each glow-in-the-dark star on his ceiling and felt every single feather already out of angle. The agitation was unbearable, and he could only pray this was a temporary curse. He wasn’t sure how long he could keep this up.

"Into the Unknown" and into my dashboard too
So, let me get this straight:
I was here, writing my analysis for Can Lying Be Good, all happy and naive like a little chicken, thinking it was almost time to go to sleep, when people started talking about moceit and Roman in a field and I was like... wait, is there a Sanders Sides video?!
And guess what, there is.
No, of course I didn’t scream when Janus appeared with that coat. You good sir, you are too stylish. I hate you and I love you. But mostly love you.
Even more important, MY HEADCANON IS RIGHT. The headcanon I keep talking about since last year. My headcanon about Janus and Patton meeting to talk about Thomas and morals and changes in his life. That headcanon is now canon. Janus clearly talked about multiple meetings. They met more than once. They MET and that means I was right and my headcanon is canon.
Okay, maybe Janus and Patton were not in a wheatfield, but it’s just a matter of time. It’s just because Mr. Sanders didn’t have a wheatfield available. I believe that, once he will find it, I will have my wheatfield. For now, we have the huge tall trees I also mentioned. It’s just a matter of TIME.
And their conversation! They said just a couple lines, but that was EXACTLY how I imagined their meetings: Janus exposing his ideas, Patton listening, maybe understanding, maybe not agreeing. This is all I wanted. I want more of it. The setting isn’t the same, but I don’t care: these two interacted and it was beautiful.
And yes, my shipping heart is pleased too, because the perfection of this moceit moment is everything. What did I say about moceit being more than just “cute couple being cute”? That’s what I meant.
Again with the setting because it just blew my mind: the Sides are not all around Thomas. They are in other places. Does that mean MY IDEA OF THE ROOMS IS CANON TOO?! Are those their rooms?
After all, Virgil is on the couch of his house, Roman is in a field that he could’ve just created. And Remus is on the railway tracks because he’s the best Side in the world and I love him. Okay, we’re missing Logan’s lighthouse, but just because Mr. Sanders didn’t have the sea available. I believe this is also a matter of time. Once he will find a good location near the sea, I will have my lighthouse headcanon confirmed. It’s a matter of TIME.
Last but not least, we have Janus singing and all the lyrics perfectly match the Sides that appear. Mentions of reveals for Virgil, pretending for Roman, a bit of unknown (”where will we end”) for Remus, burdens for Logan.
But, most importantly, the mention of golden memories dancing in a swirl associated with Patton. And if any of you read my analysis of Janus’ playlist and this song in particular, you will remember that I had a very specific image of this song, as something associated with the end of Thomas’ life and Janus and Patton cooperating until the end by mixing lies with memories as it always happen for old people.
So... was that a hint? A confirmation? Another headcanon?
Moral of the story: I am unstoppable. I am god. I am canon. I feel the power. I am amazed and shocked.
What a great way to end my day, Mr. Sanders.

Who is the better written evil bitch?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda
John Gauis:
Spoilers ahead for the books
Where do I even start with this guy. He is pretty well written and such an asshole at the same time.
He started out as a scientist who wanted to safe the earth from climate change together with his friends and ended up as the god-emperor of a colonialistic empire.
He loved the earth so much, wanted to safe it and ended up with magical powers given by earth herself. But nobody actually listened to him and supported the trillionaires instead, who where using the groundwork John and his friends laid to get themselves off the planet and leave everybody behind. And instead of saving everyone John dooms them all, he cares more about meting out punishment that saving people. In the end he triggers a nuclear war, sort-of eats the earths soul and wiped out every single human in the entire solar system and kills every single planet in it and still those trillionaires escape him.
He resurrects a part of earths population with wiped memories and installs himself as god and emperor. He lies to his friends about the only way to achieve immortality requiring to kill their friends because he loves them too much to let them go away from him. His empire routinely kills planets, which means that the population has to be moved away from them ever couple hundred years. He spent the last 10,000 years going after the descendants of the escaped people. He ends up in a mid-dismyriad crisis together with his official slut phase after pretty much all his friend betray him and try to kill him.
John is an awful person, but he is so well written, absolutely wonderful. Also, the first thing he does upon meeting the daughter he didn’t know he has is make a dad joke. Man is the only person in the world who still remembers the 10,000 year old jokes and references.
Andrew Ryan:
Now there are many (not so)great people from that are well written but you know, I still want to punch them in the face. One of them is a walking spoiler.
So I’m sending in Andrew Ryan!
Why should Andrew Ryan join this bracket?
Imagine if an Ayn Rand fan boy took her words to a T. To the point he made a city underwater to avoid taxes (okay not the main reason but it was one). He’s such an objectivist that he allowed people to make and buy meth that gives you super powers and horrid side effects (aka Adam) because PROFIT! He doesn’t care about morality at all. He recruited Sander Cohen to join him, a guy who was not trusted on the surface. He believes that only man himself can succeed.
He sent one woman down to the slums, in a city where the rich are RICH and the poor are POOR just because she critiqued him. He caused the chain effects of bioshock 2, by sending Sofia Lamb (main antagonist of bioshock 2) into prison for disagreeing with him (and also starting a cult) leading to her daughter Eleanor Lamb to be kidnapped and turned into a Little Sister by Stanley Poole. Who was then adopted by Subject Delta, who was originally a diver turned big daddy because Andrew Ryan believes anyone who arrived to Rapture (objectivist city) late and uninvited to be a government spy.
For a man who was all free thought and no mortality needed to succeed in science and arts. He sent people to prison for disagreeing with him, and then another guy lended those men out for Adam testing.
He doesn’t think the poor should touch grass.
He made a propaganda poster for children.
He had a child, which then ended up being a bioweapon.
Btw look at Tycoon Walt Disney. Look at him
