I am so glad the new kdramas are bringing back the specific brand of loser men. You know which brand I'm talking about. The Ahn "min min" Minhyuk brand of loser men and I'm loving it. The "I worship this goddess and I'm so in love with her and I can't believe I get to love her. Oh my gods I love her so much" brand of loser men. And we're being fed so well with lovely runner, love next door, no gain no love, my demon, Cinderella at 2am, Hierarchy, Midnight Romance in Hagwon, doctor slump, Queen of tears, welcome to samdal-ri and even good partner (yes it's one sided but the dedication and yuri's couple too).

We need more fictional loser men who worship women to satiate our eldest independent daughter desires.

Ok, not only did Moon Dong Eun avenge the villains of this story. She found love afterwards and was able to pursue architecture like she always wanted to. She now dresses freely with her tattoo, proudly showing her scars. She's no longer confined to her trauma. Dong Eun got her revenge AND her happy ending!

Even though she was so convinced that she's a terrible person for wanting revenge, she actually managed to touch the lives of the people around her through simple acts of kindness (empathizing with them for being victims) and those same people came back to support her as well.

It's usually "revenge is bad" this "you got revenge but at what cost" that, but no, she got her revenge AND her and other people's happy ending. Even though it's a dark story about how victims suffer, there's always the underlying message of hope, where they also understand and help eachother. Even if they had to bend the rules to get it, The. Victims. Won. Oh. My. Goodness.

In the end, it wasn't exactly just "revenge," it was also about bringing justice to the victims.

i binged all of the glory when season 2 came out and its been on my mind ever since

thinking a lot about the glory and idk the way dong eun thought she was invisible to the people around her and thought she was a terrible person but continually saved and inspired people through simple acts of kindness…her realizing that just through living a person can have a ripple effect that can make people’s lives better as well as worse, getting to see all the lives she’s touched at the end, and even though the show as a whole is dark and focuses on the bad side of humanity, there ARE still people who will be on your side. idk the scene of eighteen yr old dong eun rescuing an old woman from committing suicide when she herself was planning to do it, the realization on the lady’s face and making the promise to die in the spring when the weather is nicer, her brushing dong eun’s hair to the side, a kind, tender gesture that we’ve never seen extended to dong eun, and how that lady ends up being the lady she rents an apartment from, and she chases her mother away for her and she hopes she’ll come by to see the flowers and oh my fucking god you guys
