The Original Manhwa By Horol was a BL Story, however the producer stated there could be limitations of production investment and backlash for BL Content. So, instead it's produced as a bromance themed story instead.

A very interesting story...we have a 47 year old man with a fighting prowess that is unmatched that barely finished middle school due his poverty level upbringing. He is a gangster. Feared and Respected. And he has a heart of gold (more or less)

He is Kim Deuk Pal (LEE SEO JIN)

Deuk Pal comes across a wimpy bullied kid who is the son of a wealthy man by his mistress. She is a raging alcoholic that feels having her son ruined her life and dreams of being a starlet. Her lover has dumped her but provides since she gave birth to his child. Her son is Song Lee Heon (YOON CHAN YOUNG) and he has decided to kill himself by jumping from a bridge.

Deuk Pal in an effort to save the teen tries to help and loses his own life...but his soul enters the body of Song Lee Heon.

So the teen is alive with all the memories of the 47 Year Old Gangster. Deuk Pal reads the teens electronic diary of his hard life. Yes he wants for nothing due to his wealthy father who doesn't show up for his kid but instead sends his new lover slash secretary to deal not only with his illegitimate son but his son's alcoholic mother. And Daddy Big Bucks has a wife as well..

Feeling bad for the kid Deuk Pal decides to get the kid some justice from his bullies. First time he faces them. He takes a beating. Deuk Pal isn't in his body anymore and the teen he inhabits is much weaker. So Deuk Pal (now SONG LEE HEON) starts working out and trying to be a high school student dealing with a mother that hates him and prefers to self medicate so as not to feel anything.

And then there's the teen Song Lee Heon wants to be friends with (this is where the bromance comes in) because I'm guessing Song Lee Heon wants more than friendship with the handsome school president that suddenly notices Song Lee Heon has changed...

Oh and Song Lee Heon takes care of his bullies (see above)
