I read the Jasad heir last year. And again this year. I'm halfway through the Jasad crown. And let me tell you. Sara Hashem is doing enemies to lovers RIGHT. I made a post months ago about how Rachel Gillig does a good job of showing and not telling and Sara Hashem takes the spot next to Rachel Gillig for that skill. Most of the time these days; it's enemies to insta love (lust more often than not) and Sara Hashem is making filling my heart with the yearning and tiny observations that Slyvia (Essiya) and Arin make about each other.

I'm very very disappointed with the kdrama. I finished it and I was hoping that Junyoung's character would get more flexible about food and working out as they reached the end and others would get more serious. Because Junyoung's character has major survivorship bias and a really unhealthy relationship with food and workout.

I mean his own co-worker tells him that it's unhealthy to have your body fat percentage below 11% for men and they just refused to acknowledge that.

I have such mixed feelings about pump up the healthy love. On one hand; it's incredibly unserious and funny and weird that you can't stop laughing and cringing. On the other hand; it's a lil triggering. I get that he's trying to ensure that everyone has healthy bodies and I like that flexibility was a part of that test to show that fitness isn't just about muscles but also mobility. But I seriously seriously hope he gets a character arc in the end. Like seriously.

But I'm glad that in the recent episode, Eunji's character found the motivation to go back into fitness because she was getting strong and not because she was getting thin.

Choo young woo, Cho yihyun, and Cha Kang yoon's acting is really shining through in Head Over Heels. The drama is probably showing a love triangle in a more mature way than most adult dramas. In ep 8; when Jiho says that he'll love Gyeonu even more—I almost sobbed. And then Yihyun doing her best to acknowledge Jiho's feelings without leading him on because they're in an incredibly complicated situation? Priceless. And Choo youngwoo's switch between soft spoken shy Gyeonu and foul mouthed aggressive Bong Su is such good acting.

I love this drama. It's giving New and Different Lovely Runner.

Cha Kang yoon is such a cutie. He escaped from my pocket guys. What an adorable human amulet. And the way Gyeonu just accepts his fate that he's gonna be touched I can't-

And why are Yihyun's characters always such baddies.

Head over heels kdrama is giving Lovely Runner and in all the best ways. Can't wait for our new Sunjae-ya (Gyeonu-ya) and Sol (Sung ah) and Taesong (Jiho).

Okay so I haven't watched The First Night with the Duke. And neither have I read the webtoon. But seeing people being pressed about the inaccuracies makes me so annoyed? Like I'm pretty sure these are Americans who are pressed about it the inaccuracies BECAUSE HOW DO YOU EXPECT A KDRAMA TO ADAPT BLONDE HAIR AND RED HAIR? AND BALLS?

Because you're harping on about wanting a live adaptation and when some country does pick it up, you're being a whiny child? Like ??? You're angry about the wrong things. You should have asked the western countries to pick up the webtoon if you wanted blond hair and red hair.

BUT OH WAIT. WESTERN MEDIA DOESN'T ADAPT WEBTOONS

Also it was such a good choice to go with deep and husky voices for Huntrix. They gave me major Mamamoo and I-dle vibes.

Okay but what's really cool is that you can see these artists really studied the performance aspects of Kpop. The way the promo video is filmed. The variety shows, the fashion of Huntrix, and especially the performance of Saja Boys (since we saw more of their performance whereas we saw the fighting aspect more for huntrix). I mean they really really nailed the performance aspect.

Like in soda pop; the debut was refreshing fresh and charming therefore the gazes were softer—the part where Abs guy brings down his collar for a second for the "refreshing" part of the lyrics— that would actually be a well thought out choreography in real life (reminscent of Txt, Tws, BND, NCT dream, Riize, and Pentagon in their early days).

And then their second song—Your Idol—was darker and therefore their gazes changed (hungrier and sensous) and their moves were sharper (with literal claws). Kpop HAS that duality in gaze. And especially when the rapper (Baby Saja?) brings his claws down his face for the "fame made me viral" part? Adlib definitely (reminscent of Ateez, Enhypen, Monsta X, Stray Kids, Seventeen, The boyz, Onlyoneof, Pentagon, Exo, NCT and Big Bang—especially in the rap aspects—and Got7). THEY REALLY NAILED IT.

TELL ME HOW AI CAN REPLICATE THIS. THAT'S WHY HUMAN ARTISTS WILL ALWAYS BE SUPERIOR
