I just know in my heart of hearts that in "Star Trek" at one point, there was some moral panic somewhere on Vulcan (among the uppity sorts) because Human culture was "infecting" the local youth with their overly emotional, destructive, unproductive, frivolous, and uneducational ways.

And what was actually happening was that a bunch of Vulcan kids got really into 23rd-century "Minecraft" or something.

OK, fair warning to the few people I actually managed to convince to try the game??

Rain world does NOT play like hollow knight, and you'll get your butt kicked if you approach it like that.

It's really hard. Like, really hard. Instead of the game literally giving you abilities in the form of power-ups and damage buffs, the only abilities you gain is from what you learn and your own ingenuity. You're a rat from beginning to end. If you just beef your way through it, it's gonna suck and you're gonna be confused and frustrated all the time. But if you pay attention, take it slow, and learn how the ai works and how everything interacts with each other, you can consistently get through and dominate situations you thought were impossible to do so when you first began. Now get out there, kill some lizards, and bully some old computers!

Alright yeah I want/need to do all of this so let's try this out.

Hey, I'll let you in on a little secret okay? Just between you and me, I've struggled a lot with things, sometimes life is an uphill battle but, it's people like you I'm fighting for.

It takes practice, but take it in stride. Everyday you get up is a day you're winning the battle, your hard work isn't in vain and you're getting better all the time!

I saw this in a text post so my thought isn't original at all lol but I really wish more Ouran fans who see Kaoru as the nicer twin would remember he's only 10% nicer than Hikaru and is still very much a bratty, cunning, easily bored, spoiled boy. I remember most of the fanfiction I read on FF.net almost always depicted him as very sweet and thoughtful without many thorns or spice (and always in a wilting flower way bc of his internal conflict and struggles which isn't wrong but not his entire personality). And he can be sweet! And he is more thoughtful than Hikaru and definitely reads more! But Kaoru is even more cunning and scheming than Hikaru can be! It's why, even though I'm actually not a big fan of the pairing, KyoKao, I really do enjoy the renaissance in fanworks the pairing has bc the authors and artists do keep Kaoru's bratty, scheming side in all of their works along with his thoughtfulness, rampant metaphors, and overthinking. Kaoru was my favorite character when I watched the show as a 12 year old and I really enjoy the latest stories that don't minimize him as a character, along with pursuing the idea of him having a happy ending. ty!

Eve can you be transgender as a treat

Well unfortunately I can't be something I'm not BUT this can be my official coming out as sure as hell not cis... Lemme rant real quick

I'm sort of trying to figure out if I'm a demigirl or agender. I think I feel mostly agender but there's a part of me that still feels female in a sense? I genuinely don't understand gender at all but I saw someone talking about how we're not born with our gender so if you identify with your body and not gender specifically than that you could be agender. Gender is so fucking weird and I only started looking into this recently so I have no idea what I'm doing. I don't know if you can go by both or what but if anyone has any advice for a confused old woman please share.

Something hilarious I just realized regarding the turn of the century au cast vs regular x men evolution cast

Cannabis among other highly restricted drugs today would have been over the counter medicine at the turn of the century that any one could pick up. The FDA was only just becoming a thing since it's inception during the teddy Roosevelt administration and during that time edible tablets were considered medicine and the only restriction on them is that there had to be a prominent lable saying what the drug contianed. Cannabis tablets were used to treat headaches, cramps, etc.

Meanwhile the og Evo cast were early 2000s teens steeped in D.A.R.E. program culture (Except the international kids) ESPECIALLY SCOTT.

Imagine the absolute conniption 2000s Scott would have seeing his 1912 self make sure every girl had a bottle of cannabis tablets in their bathrooms for their time of the month or worse yet, actively giving jean cannabis tablets for a headache brought on by her powers.

Modern Scott: "THATS WEED IM CALLING THE FUCKING POLICE"

1910s Scott:"???? It's an FDA approved pharmaceutical drug?"

Modern Scott:"ITS DANGEROUS! IT WILL FRY YOUR BRAIN!!! HAVENT YOU SEEN THE DARE MATERIAL?!"
