Malevolent Mischief is open for invites!

Finally able to announce the server called Malevolent Mischief! It's a creative based server that is centered around discussing anything from the show in detail to writing and art works with other creatives interested in the series, branching from the Malevolent Big Bang! We also provide image IDs to be accessible to the best of our abilities to the visually impaired. There's sprint channels for writers, spaces to discuss WIPs for art and writing, as well as NSFW/Dead Dove sections for those who enjoy the darker side of Malevolent (they are also easily ignored)!

That said, due to the nature of the show, the server is 18+ only! Before being invited to the server, please let us know that you are at least 18 to receive an invite.

Below are the rules that the server runs by. If you agree with the rules, please feel free to DM @shadow0haven (myself) or @bluejayblueskies for an invite!

Here are the general rules for the Malevolent Mischief server!

1. ***No bigotry.*** Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, aphobia, antisemitism, identity policing, and so on will not be tolerated.

2. ***Respect your peers.*** Be kind and courteous! Respect others' boundaries, interpretations, ideas, and preferences. This server is 18+ and all members are expected to interact and respect each other on an adult level and take responsibility for their actions and behavior.

3. ***Keep conversations in appropriate channels.*** Certain channels are used for certain things: beta search should be used for beta search purposes, off-topic-media for other shows/fandoms etc, and so on. NSFW and Dead Dove content needs to stay in channels labeled NSFW and Dead Dove to respect boundaries. Please check channel descriptions for help on what's appropriate and where!

4. ***Outside drama is not welcome.*** This includes drama from other fandoms/discords, chatting about fans outside this server, etc. Discourse topics should be left out of this server and kept to personal DMs.

5. ***No parasocial nonsense.*** Talking about the creator in the context of the show and its creation is welcome, but please avoid personal discussion revolving around the creator (example: sexuality, morality, personal relationships, etc).

6. ***Use image descriptions.*** To help make the server accessible to all *Malevolent* creatives, we ask that you use Image Identification when posting or linking images (unless the link contains an ID.) This does not have to be elaborate! We also have volunteers who like to help create IDs if asked!

7. ***Spoilers.*** For the first 48 hours after an episode's public release, we ask people to use spoiler bars. We also ask people to keep patreon content within the patreon channels to be respectful.

8. ***Content warnings.*** Please use spoiler bars and a content warning when discussing topics commonly found triggering (including but not limited to self-harm, suicide, rape, and real-world discrimination.) If you're unsure, err on the side of caution. Please also provide relevant content warnings when sharing fics or art.

9. ***Comments, concerns, suggestions.*** We have a channel for any questions or suggestions for the server - please don't hesitate to use it if you need it!

10. ***This server is 18+.*** Due to the nature of the show, as well as the content of the server, this server is 18+ only for the comfort and well being of members. Server invites will not be given to those found under 18.

Okay please leave me your opinions on this cuz I am curious:

I love podcasts. Since I have adhd, I love doing house chores while I am listening to them. It makes everything more entertaining.

I am currently listening to this podcast called:

"#1 Dad"

Its about a guy whose dad is a con artist and obviously he was a shitty dad (allegedly bc he sues everyone)

They re reuniting after many years and let me say this: I find con artists and scammers really fascinating and also admittedly, I am jealous.

Life is hard as it is so when I look at this guy, I really am attracted to his personality in a sense that I WANT TO BE LIKE HIM.

I know its not all fun and games being like that. There are really dark sides to it and sometimes these kinds of people make you question whether they are fully aware of themselves or not but they have this power of confidence and charm.

I want to be like them because honestly these bratty motherfuckers are like cockroaches, they re annoying but they never stop. They know how to get out of situations and if they cant they cause any trouble that they can.

I feel like if it weren't for my chronic depression and anxiety -and unfortunately my willingness to be a good person- I would be like that too.

I am very drawn to characters who are lovable chaos makers:

-Beetlejuice (fascinated by him since childhood)

- Klaus (from tua season 1 till 3)

-Captain Jack Sparrow (probably my first crush)

-The Mask (annoying but also charming somehow)

-Deadpool (I mean he is the definition of a cockroach)

- River (from Doctor Who)

And ofc as both characters and as deities:

-Loki

-Hermes

-Dionysus

I really cant deny my attraction to anything that is chaotic, playful and trickster-like.

My instincts say that, If I finally embrace that part of me fully without worrying too much about what is right, I will be so much happier.

I feel like I have this (tamed, locked and chained) thing inside of me that wants to choose me no matter what .

I wish I could release that and have fun with it finally.

I wish I could be an annoying but charming cockroach.

HotGuy is the bravest, sharpest, most handsomest hero in all of Hermit City. That’s what he’d tell you, anyway. Nobody can agree on what HotGuy is. A hero to some, villain to others. There’s a universal agreement he’s a wanna-be show off of some kind. Him and that pesky bird…

Scar is determined to win over the citys’ hearts (and charitable diamonds) so who better to face off against than King Cleo? With his charming smile, trusty bow, and sidekick CuteGuy, nothing can go wrong!

King Cleo would IMMEDIATELY put them in their place like a teacher lecturing the entire class on how they’ve been misbehaving. But that’s no fun right away, so why not let them learn their lesson? >:)

HotGuy and CuteGuy are an iconic duo in Hermit City. King Cleo and Entropy (Cub) are another iconic duo. Whether each team is heroic or villainous depends on who you ask. Even the city residents are split on opinions

Except Bdubs. He runs a podcast spilling conspiracy theories and dragging almost every “hero” name into the mud (his attitude is very inspired by J. Jonah Jameson from Spiderman). He believes they’re menaces and should stay out of the city’s local problems because 9/10 they somehow make it worse. He’s very critical of these 4 in particular, and it doesn’t help that they all like to personally mess with him for the fun of it

Far off in the city outskirts, a living folktale hides in the forest. An amalgamation of creatures that make up one giant monster, and coming across their path is…certainly an experience. They speak in poetry and think out loud, peering deep into the soul of their visitor with just a few words. Sightings are few and far in between, but each interaction is memorable- to say the least. Their name is Joe Hills. A very close friend to King Cleo (but nobody else knows that)

And! an explanation to HotGuy’s mobility aid

With the best high-tech, Scar’s wheelchair can reshape into a mechanical griffin with the press of a button. It lets him take to the sky and hotguy targets! Griffins also have conflicting symbolism, which reflects his persona

Good and Evil. Light and Dark. They’re said to be harbingers of chaos. Mischief certainly seems to follow HotGuy wherever he goes. Be wary of his smirk

They’re also said to be gentle protectors. He shows up to help citizens and tiny creatures alike. With a voice so soothing, any trouble they face is wiped off like nothing (or, ends up feeling a little easier to handle)

Griffins are one of the most remarkable creatures in mythology, their stories told and twisted through generations, but how does the griffin tell his own story?

I’ve got a few ideas I wanna draw so I’ll be posting more of this under #hotguy wotk au
