(Page 40 - 49 of Vol. 2, No. 4, Issue 8, published in April 2000)
This unofficial art appears to have been featured in multiple issues published before Gold and Silver's release in the U.S.
While a specific artist is not credited for these particular drawings, the editor's note does credit multiple individuals for the artistic component of the magazine.
- Omar Mediano (Art Director)
- Jeff Bauzon (Production Associate)
- Bill Alger, Jeff Amano, John Marshall, Mark Stokes, and Eytan Wronker (Contributing Artists)
Humorously, Bulbapedia notes that the unofficial art of Celebi was used for unofficial Pokemon merchandise.

The french artist François Boucher painted 'La Tendre Pastorale' in 1730 - and then again in 1734. Charles-Dominique-Joseph Eisen's 'Berger et bergère' is a later work based on Boucher. It really seems the MGM Borehamwood art department used them as the basis for one of the paintings that appeared in the ‘Hotel Room’ in 2001: A Space Odyssey. (Credit for the finding to Reddit user DUG1138 and Juan Cairos; additional research by Eytan Wronker.)
