Not only is it a server to cater to a large number of Wei Wuxian rarepairs, we're also dead dove friendly (when kept in its channels). Not to mention the Wangxian, Ningxian and Chengxian channels we also have.

MingXian Fest 2024 Official Post

Hey everyone! MingXian Fest has now officially begun! The focus of this event is our local rairpair Nie Mingjue X Wei Wuxian where Nie Mingjue and Wei Wuxian are/were romantically involved. There is no restriction around canons (adaptations or original novel), settings, or timelines (whether modern or jianghu) The only requirement is that works must be centred around MingXian- whether they are in an established relationship, currently getting together, were friends with benefits, or are heartbroken exes unable to let go. You are free to have them in whichever situationship you'd like :D The minimum word count for this event is 1,000 words. You can also combine as many prompts as you want, the art prompts can be used for writing and vice versa. Please remember to tag your posts with "#MingXian Fest 2024" for ease of filtering.

As he sipped the hot broth from his own, he found himself wondering, even after all these years, why Wei Wuxian liked spice so much.

He told himself his eyes were watering solely because of the heat.

thoughts on Nie Mingjue/Wei Wuxian?

It’s a ship i rather enjoy quite a bit, however it’s defintely what you would call a rare pair.

Mingjue is the protective older brother type with strong morals who will do anything to correct an injustice - especially if that injustice is done to someone he cares for. He’d raze the world if it meant protecting his loved ones.

Wei wuxian, on the other hand, thrives when being taken care of. He’s independent, sure, and he can take care of himself, defintely, but he seems to be at his happiness when someone takes the reins a little bit and allows him to have the space to be the vulnerable one.

I like mingxian because of that protective dynamic. Additionally, they’re quite similar. Lots of the stuff i mentioned is shared. wwx would also, as we see with the wens, go to great lengths to protect those who need protecting. All in all, wwx adds a shade of grey to nmj’s black and white thinking, and nmj adds a security and loyalty to wwx that he doesn’t always recieve.

On a slightly related note, i also enjoy non-romantic mingjue and wuxian relationships. Canon divergence fics where wuxian is adopted into the nie clan instead of the jiang originally, for example, or ones where mingjue takes wuxian under his wing in other circumstances. I think wy benefits from a reliable, nurturing presence at his side.

So I said this post was coming ,i know i said it yesterday but hey, i had little energy in my body and i wanted to write directly. BUT IT'S TIME TO TALK… AND I HAVE LOTS TO TALK ABOUT

Let's start by saying that most of these things… will go through a survey that will arrive slowly but it will arrive, and maybe other things might just come out.

Lan Qiren Analysis pt2: So... HEAR ME OUT. I reread @sillygoofyqueer's request better, and I have to say okay writing Lan Qiren's first analysis like that… I liked it but I missed the point of this request. We saw Lan Qiren collapse and get back up but nothing about Wei Wuxian, nothing about Lan Qiren TALKING to him like a normal person… so now that I have more grounding here I can move, I want to. And I also already have an idea of what to aim for to make it happen.... We remember what Lan Wangji says to Lan Qiren while taking 33 lashes, "Uncle, I dare to ask. What's right? What's wrong? What's black? What's white?"… well :D

I know you're already thinking "but berry, you've already dismantled Lan Qiren.. what changes?" as I said, I took a Lan Qiren who was already at a breaking point and I just pressed my foot on the pedal and went straight ahead… to get to that point we go through phases (anger, denial, dissolution, disappointed, etc.). Wei Wuxian will just be the needle :D I have a plot with lots of twists and turns.. and no the relationship won't be sexual (I'm looking at you) purely platonic, obviously the decision here remains with the person who gave birth to the idea (and that's not me :D)

One shot mingxian: look at me while I tell you that I'm thinking of releasing a one shot/long shot.. to include in the "See you on the other side of heaven :)" series, I know you hate me by now :D

Xicheng : I have two works on them, that's all I say :D

But I'll stop here… because I think the other things I've hidden, we'll talk about when the time comes. Because there will come a precise moment, where I will bring out the plots of these hidden ones. There would be many things to say about the news that arrive but I'm still working on some so it will take time, obviously the winner of the poll has precedence… I should release it soon :)

He’s currently idly contemplating how to prank the handful of Lan professors in the corner. He’s only there because Nie Mingjue needed a plus one to his little brother’s gala, and despite the fact neither want to be there they’ve still taken advantage of the open bar. Unfortunately, Wei Wuxian should have remembered Nie Huaisang’s penchant for exotic alcohol back at university. He really should have. But it’s worth it for the look on Nie Mingjue’s face.

A sputtering cough and Nie Mingjue glowering down at his glass as if it’s betrayed him. “What is this swill?”

His only answer is an inarticulate cackle.

They'd make everything better, save the common people with their combined genius! And the combination of cwn not liking swordflights and wwx loving to show off his swordflying skills? wwx will definitely take the job to ferry him places and make him start liking the journey. They're both very bad with colder temperatures too and have both died and have themselves brought back to life(albeit in different ways) once!
