Wei Wuxian closed his eyes, knowing there  was no reason to try and keep up the farce.

But gentle hands reached not for his chest, not for his scars, damning and telling.

They held his hand, tucking it against Nie Huaisang’s own chest, until he could hear his heart,  beating against  his palm.

“Sleep,” He said. “You need it.”

Wei Wuxian reached his free hand to rub a corner of his reddened eyes, as if wanting to wipe nonexistent tears. 

“I’m sorry.”

Summary:

When Wei Wuxian took the Wen Remnants to the Burial Mounds, he had been ready for war. But between the townsfolk calling him Yiling-ge, the rumors that he and Nie Huaisang had eloped, and Mo Xuanyu insisting he was his first disciple, the potential war soon became the least of his concerns.

This is a 31k story about love, endurance, and of course, Nie Huaisang/Wei Wuxian shenanigans.

Rules:

1. All prompts are open to interpretation as long as they focus on Nie Huaisang. He can be alone, in a romantic ship, or in a platonic ship. Poly is also okay.

2. The goal is to make a bingo on your card. (Or more than one bingo if you're ambitious.) There are multiple ways of earning a bingo: horizontal, vertical, blackout, four corners, etc.

3. Squares are marked off toward a bingo by filling the prompt within the square. Multiple squares can be combined in one work.

4. You can submit fics, song mixes, art, vids, podfics, picspams, rec lists, icons, and meta. Make sure all items posted to the collection are in line with AO3's ToS.

5. Bingos can be made up of any combination of media. You do not have to do all fic, all art fills, etc. to make bingo - ex: you could submit 2 pieces of art, 1 mix and 2 fics to make a line bingo. Additionally, a bingo does not have to be all in one pairing.

Is a fill limited to fic only? No. While fic is used as a shorthand you are not limited to fic. Bingo squares can be filled with fic, art, icons, recs, picspams, vids, podfic, mixes, or meta. However, only media that does not violate AO3's ToS is allowed in the collection.

Is there a collection on AO3? Yes! It is here! The collection will be revealed on May 1 and close on June 1. Your creations do not need to be posted to this collection.

How should I tag my bingo fills? Tag with #AllSangBingo and any other appropriate tags

Can I write a series? Yes.

Can I write, vid, etc. as part of a team? Yes.

(But what faster way to lose the unapproachable mysticism than being a fool who needs someone to care?)

“Hey did you hear? A-Hua says her neighbor told her mom that his brother had seen walking corpses on your property! Are you well? Have you angered the Yiling Laozu?”

“Ah, that. Ahaha… I may have asked the Patriarch for a favor.”

“Heavens guard you, what did you do?! How are you alive? Oh, I shouldn’t be associating with you…”

“Wha— Hey, it’s nothing like that! He just helped me draw water from the well, and I gave him porridge!”

“What the fuck, and he just… said yes? To that awful deal?”

“I don’t think he eats well. And he seemed to be having fun anyway.”

 “And you… Weren’t you afraid? We all have heard the rumors of the Patriarch and the power he wielded… I heard he ate a man’s heart straight from his chest and then ordered his ghost to slaughter his whole town…”

 “Do you reckon that’s true? Not saying his evil ways don’t scare the shit out of me, but well… I did see him trip on his own two feet and then lay there in the middle of the road.”

 “Was he… dead…?”

 “No, fell asleep.”

 “Huh.”
