OT3, poly relationships, and dead dove content welcomed. Just reblog this if you're interested in participating, whether as a writer or as an artist.
Event Schedule: From 6th December 2024 to 16 January 2025. Prompt Format: Prompt Bingo Different types of prompts will be provided in a Bingo square, from which you can pick whichever ones you want to fill, and however many you want to do for whichever event ship you're interested in.
All the works will be added to a collection on ao3 and reblogged to this blog.
Event Requirements: Bottom Wei Wuxian Dynamics. Minimum Word Count: 1000 words. All Mediums/Adaptations Welcome [Novel, CQL etc] There is no max word limit. No sign up will be required nor will there be any check ins. We do have a bottomxian rarepair server made by @yiling-laozu-is-loml where you can communicate with other fellow rairpair fans but it's not an event-centric server, more of a group of rarepair likers who help each other with rarepair fanworks so it's entirely optional to join.

Domestic: Stack
Just as Wei Wuxian finished stacking the files, two police officers barged into the office.
“Don’t move!” One of the men shouted, pistol aimed directly at him. He locked eyes with the second man who was staring at him, giving him a playful smile.
A gunshot rang out.
Wei Wuxian watched calmly as blood splattered across his face, expressionless as the man crumbled.
Nie Mingjue holstered his gun as he stepped over the lifeless body, walking towards him. He pulled out a handkerchief to tenderly wipe the blood from Wei Wuxian’s face.
“And you call me dramatic,” he said fondly.

Domestic: Stack
“Good morning, Bǎobùi” Wei Wuxian greeted, still half-asleep, pausing to plant a soft kiss on Nie Mingjue’s cheek where he tended to the stove. The delightful aroma of breakfast wafted through the air, mingling with the excited chatter of their children, who were busy devouring the freshly made stack of pancakes. “Good morning!” Their youngest exclaimed latching onto his pants with sticky fingers. Chuckling, he scooped up the giggling child into a warm embrace as he took his seat at the table, grabbing a wet napkin to wipe at syrup covered fingers and cheeks. A smile settled upon his lips.

Infatuation: Unhealthy
If someone had asked Nie Mingjue a year ago about his opinion on Nie Huaisang’s unhealthy inclinations, he’d say ‘a waste of time’ and would laugh in their face outright if they said he’d engage in them. But a lot has changed since then. He walks into a room with a lovely bouquet of flowers, stopping before a stunning bejeweled golden cage in the very center. Inside the cage, Wei Wuxian sits curled up, hugging his knees and hiding his face, offering no acknowledgement of having heard him. But that is okay. They have all the time in the world

Infatuation: Unhealthy
Nie Mingjue had never understood his brother’s inclinations. To him, it was nothing but an unhealthy obsession with unnecessary distractions. Fans, birds, and now confessing in broad daylight to Yunmeng Jiang’s Head Disciple. A headache was fast approaching him over the blatant lack of decorum publicly. Passingby, he caught sight of the Jiang disciples but they were oblivious to his presence. He recognised the head disciple, the man paused, his hair ruffling under the wind, silver eyes glittering in mirth, laughter reverberating like tinkling of bells. He was alluring, in a way he couldn’t quite grasp. And suddenly he did.

Feelings: Pepper
“Two bowls of chili pepper noodles,” He said, handing over the money. “One for your wife?” The man, making small talk, glanced at him.
Nie Mingjue stiffened. “Yes.”
The vendor smiled, handing him the packed food. “Enjoy.”
Reaching the cemetery, he sat down near a well-tended grave, putting one bowl alongside the flowers.
As he sipped the hot broth from his own, he found himself wondering, even after all these years, why Wei Wuxian liked spice so much.
He told himself his eyes were watering solely because of the heat.
And not because of a man who would never return.

Feelings: Pepper
And so they learn to not put Madam Yu and Nie Mingjue in the same room ever again.
Beside him, his boyfriend sighed as the woman went on her tirade. Nie Mingjue had suspected it was bad, but he hadn’t known it was this bad. He rubbed soothing circles into Wei Wuxian’s hand with his thumb under the table, trying to suppress his own bubbling rage for his sake. This family dinner seemed to be a test of his patience. Patience which was dwindling by the second. “........and Wei Wuxian! Forever a piece of tra-” A pepper grinder hit her square in the face, stopping her mid-rant. Nie Mingjue didn’t regret a single thing as havoc broke lose.

Tradition: Drink
Jiaobeijiu (Chinese: äș€æŻé…’; lit. 'cross-cupped wine'), also known as Hejin (Chinese: 搈ćș; pinyin: hĂ©jǐn; lit. 'to join nuptial wine cup') in ancient times, is a traditional Chinese nuptial ceremonial rite where newlywed couples interlinking and crossing their arms to sip jiu (Chinese: 酒; lit. 'wine') from two separated cups to their future marital happiness, to promise their lifelong love and to make the vows of no separation in the presence of their guests.
Tumblr media
As Nie Huaisang filled his cup with malodorous wine, the hushed whispers and nervous laughter lingering in the marriage hall finally came to a halt. Wei Wuxian could feel their prodding eyes weighing his every action as Nie Huaisang moved to intertwine his arm with Nie Mingjue’s before smiling up at him. “Welcome to the family, Brother Wei.” He congratulated. Wei Wuxian tipped back the drink, wishing it had been alcohol instead, he’d much prefer the burn over the sickeningly sweet aftertaste. It made him nauseous. Or maybe it was the stench from the dead body of his now husband.
Tumblr media
In Chinese tradition, a ghost marriage (Chinese: 憄橚; pinyin: mĂnghĆ«n; lit. 'spirit marriage') refers to a marriage in which one or both parties are deceased.[1] Despite its long history and unique practices, the original purposes of ghost marriages remain largely unknown. Even so, ghost marriages are often stigmatized and surrounded with superstitions.

As Nie Huaisang fills their cups with fragrant wine, while the vibrant conversations and laughter in the hall do not completely halt, they do soften into whispers and giggles, all eyes focusing on the couple. Wei Wuxian returns his soon to be brother-in-law’s cheeky smile, with his arm intertwined in Nie Mingjue’s, he raises the cup to his lips. They drink in one shared moment, the rich liquid feels sweet on his tongue as cheers erupt around them. The tradition concludes with his husband pulling him into a tender kiss. And Wei Wuxian is the happiest he has ever been.

Hello Everyone! As we prepare to bid farewell to the month of October, we also wrap up our Rarepair event. We would like to take a moment to highlight the lovely fanworks of all the talented writers and artists who participated, who poured their hearts out in our community to bring us the best of their creations. To showcase our immense love for all the wonderful submissions this event was celebrated with, we will be sharing them all, starting with:
"Merman!Wei Wuxian and his hapless fisherman" by @fistfuloflightning
CEO Wei's Best Bodyguard by The_Indian_Ghost [@theindianghost]
It was not every day he was called into his Boss’s office, and Mingjue wondered what job he’d be assigned to next, or if this would be his final dismissal. Wei Wuxian sighed as he set his sights on Mingjue’s tall form standing at attention in front of him, and a small smile played at the ends of his lips. “Mr Nie. Always so formal and proper,” he said, shaking his head fondly. “Congratulations. You’re being promoted! You are now my personal bodyguard for the remainder of your employment!” he said, grinning at him. Mingjue blinked in surprise.
Teacher Wei takes a Sick Day by The_Dark_Ghost (The_Indian_Ghost)
Wei Wuxian didn't show up to work even an hour later, when he loved his job and loved his kids and would never skip a day without informing him or the school first. So principal Nie Mingjue decides to do a house call to check on him, finds a sick Wei Wuxian, and gets more from him than he ever thought he would at the start of the day.
By My Side Again by The_Indian_Ghost
“A-Jue
” Wei Wuxian murmured into the talisman, activating the sigil for ‘record’ embedded within it by pressing his thumb to it. ïżœïżœïżœI really messed up this time, A-Jue. I don’t know what to do. Word has probably gone back to Lanling by now. I just
” he sighed. “I know we fought. I know we’re broken up now, and you’re probably going to discard this anyway. But. I can’t help but think. If you were here
you’d know what to do. I
” he swallowed thickly, winced at the sound of a shrieking fierce corpse nearby, slipped his thumb off the sigil, and then numbly watched as the talisman assembled itself into a small bird. The bird hopped off his palm and fluttered away, disappearing into the night. Wei Wuxian tracked it as far as he could see it, before he sighed and let his head thunk back against the rock as a sudden bout of exhaustion hit him.
To Live in Satisfaction by TheShenanijiang [@theshenanijiang]
Nie Mingjue is strongarmed into taking an omega to produce heirs for the Nie clan. He picks Wei Wuxian after seeing him interact with Nie Huaisang.
Sinners playing Saints by Anonymous [@a-blue-nony]
"When your soulmate dies, their final words to you etch themselves into your skin and your life looses its color." Nie Mingjue had once read in his sects ancient texts, he had wondered if it was meant to be taken literally or metaphorically. He finds out the answer himself.
Glace Malady by Anonymous
Wei Wuxian is down with a cold, Nie Mingjue takes care of him
Let Me Break Your Ribs and Climb In Next To Your Heart by TheShenanijiang
Alpha Nie Mingjue mated Omega Wei Wuxian at the Qishan Wen Grand Conference and then let him go back to Lotus Pier. When Jiang Wanyin staggers into the Unclean Realm, NIe MIngjue looks for his mate, but does not see him. When he finds out Wei Wuxian was thrown into Burial Mounds he loses his mind. Wei Wuxian is the only one who can bring him back to himself to hopefully win the war.
The Wolf at the Door by TheShenanijiang
Nie Mingjue gets a phone call about his missing boyfriend. Wei Ying breaks containment.
Call and Response by MajiLovePrincess [@mdzs-rabbithole]
“You were out late,” the figure on his bed says, bemused. Nie Mingjue lowers Baxia and then sheaths her. Something complicated fills his lungs—it’s shaped a little bit like fondness and apprehension. “You came.” Wei Wuxian rises from the bed, looking more like the dead he commands than flesh and blood. “You called.”
To all the participants, we thank you for participating and sharing your beautiful artwork and fanfics with us. We hope you guys had just as much fun exploring the prompts (and this delightful ship) as we had while making them. The official ao3 collection link for this event can be found here.

Wen Ning when Wei Wuxian praised and stood up for him that one time
[Image ID: Wen Ning taking a selfie in the bathroom, image is captioned as following:
If Young Master Wei has million fans, I'm one of them
If Young Master Wei has 5 fans, I'm one of them
If Young Master Wei has only 1 fan, I'm one of them
If Young Master Wei has no fans, I'm no longer alive
If the world is against Young Master Wei, I'm against the world
Till my last breath, I'll support Young Master Wei]
