This isn’t the first time i write, but only now I thought about actually publishing them to others. I write poems, love verses, fan-fictions and self written books.

Pairings: Nico Hischier x fem!reader

Summary: a girl has been starting a rumor that she’s dating Nico Hischier. Except, she isn’t. You are but it’s a secret so nobody else knows but you two and close friends. Getting tired of the girl and her rumor you decide to reveal your relationship during one of your concerts.

Sitting in the apartment you shared with your boyfriend Nico you sighed. You had a day off and were spending it with Nico before the last concert of the American leg of your tour at the Prudential Center tomorrow but low and behold the same girl who was saying she was dating Nico last week was still saying it and the worst part was a lot of people believed her. She had made some weird photoshopped pictures that actually looked real unless you knew who the hockey player was actually dating. Yourself.

“Liebe, don’t worry about it.” Nico mumbles to you pulling you to lean against his chest on the couch you both resided on currently. “But, Neeks, it’s getting worse now.” You sighed yet again while scrolling through the girls instagram.

“Maybe we should reveal our relationship then.” Nico says pressing a light kiss to your shoulder.

“Are you okay with that?” You ask now turning your head to look at him. “If it eases your mind and gets this girl to stop then yes.” He reassures you.

You think about it for a second then nod. “I have an idea. At my concert tomorrow, you’ll see.” You tell him after thinking of an idea. You’d reveal your relationship with your song Karma.

“Now let’s just enjoy our day together Y/n.” Nico says to you grabbing the remote and turning on the tv to your shared favorite show. You gave him a big smile putting your phone away as you both watched it while cuddling on the couch.

It was the next day. It was also about time for you to go out on stage. You paced around back stage doing breathing exercises.

Nico had came back a little bit earlier wishing you good luck hugging and giving you a short kiss. After that he had gone to where he and some of his teammates and their girlfriends/wives would be sitting.

Your chosen outfit for the night was a type of white dress with long white sleeves that had bows on the end. You also had a white bow in your hair. Your stage manager then came to you and said it was time to start the show. You nodded grabbing your mic and walked out there onto the stage.

“Hey Prudential!” You exclaim to the crowd with a big smile waving out to your fans. They all screamed happily as you came out on stage and talked.

“I hope you guys have a good time tonight cause I plan to make it an epic one! The first song is one of my personal favorites Karma!” You said into your mic. This was the song. You’d reveal yours and Nico’s relationship with the first one. The entire world would know before tomorrow.

“You’re talking shit for the hell of it. Addicted to betrayal, but you’re relevant.” You sang dancing around the stage with your dancers. You loved your job. Getting to sing and entertain people. This song you had actually written about Nico. You never told him it was but you had a feeling he knew.

“Sweet like justice, karma is a queen. Karma takes all my friends to the summit.” You sing then look to where Nico would be and grin.

“Karma is the captain of the Devils coming straight home to me.” You sing point to where Nico was. The camera had fanned over there to him showing him on the screen for a quick second as everyone screamed louder at the reveal.

You sway your hips in a dance as you continue the song. “Nico’s a relaxing thought. Aren’t you envious that for you he’s not?” You sing with a wicked grin looking to the middle camera as it points to you.

Soon the song was over and you continued the concert. Everyone enjoyed it from what you could tell considering all of the joyous screaming.

After, backstage, Nico came to you hugging and spinning you around with a grin his dimples showing. “That’s my girl!” He exclaims. “Always, Nico.” You say as he puts you down but still hugging you.

Your arms were wrapped around his neck. You both kissed a quick but meaningful kiss before you went and changed into regular clothes so you could go out with the rest of his team and their girlfriends/wives for the night.

•In the middle of the battle you were fighting a time villain you and a few of your classmates were chasing the vision You caught up to the villain and dropkicked him and pinned him down but he used his quirk on you and you felt dizzy and all you heard was footstep fainting of the villain running off

•shoji was trying to look for you when he saw your hero costume on the alleyway ground he panicked when he saw the clothes started moving but to his surprise, it was a naked toddler under the clothes starting at him *Y/n..?" Shoji said slowly going closer to you and picking you up in his arms when he saw the familiar hawks keychain he instantly knew it was you so he wrapped you in arms and tentacles and took you to where the rest of the class is

•The class surrounded Shoji, emotions was in a mix of shock, awe, and adoration at the cute baby toddler that is their darling "Kyaaa!!! Y/n Chan is so cute!!!" Mina squealed while the rest of the girls started cooing and pitching your little cheeks while the boys glared jealously "Hey let us have a turn!" •After a little argument about who gets to take care of you they decided to share and team up they took you to get some food and toys they spoiled TF out of you Mount lady Wanted to dress you in many matching outfits and take lots of pictures like those mommy and child family photos fatgum brought you a McDonald's kids meal and was entertaining you by making silly faces which made you giggle a lot they bless their poor little hearts

•It was all dandy until hawks heard his name being called in fury and surprise surprise! it was Aizawa along with mic, midnight and all might and your classmates also decided to work together and they were all PISSED and now it's Pros vs teachers vs students

•Cue the epic fight scene

•While the fight between Pros and the students increased nezu thought it was the perfect time to sneak you away and lock himself in his own office to spend time with you long story short he announced how everyone including the Pros was punished the students had to get detection, the Teachers get no breaks and the pros the pros a suspension while nezu happy that gets to spend time with you until the quirk wears off safe to say that Nezu won

The stage is ours

Being a ghoul was amazing. You get your own place to stay in a church, and you play in an awesome band!

Now let's go back to reality...

I stole Swiss tambourine and shook it around everywhere. Everyone was getting annoyed with the sound that it made and told me to stop it, but I didn't. After a while, Swiss had enough and started chasing me.

- (Y/N)! GIVE. IT. THE FUCK. BACK!

He shouted after me and we ran around the kitchen island. I was laughing hard while Swiss's expression was getting more and more frustrated. I decided that I would turn around the corner to go to the other room and hide there, so I tried to do it.

I looked behind me to see if Swiss was still chasing me. When I turned around the corner, I bumped into someone. I pressed my chest against theirs. They pulled the tambourine away from my hands harshly.

- OW!

I looked up, frowning. I saw Sodo looking madly at me. I was still leaning on his chest. I quickly pulled away from him.

Sodo threw the tambourine to Swiss. He caught it and nodded his head, walking away. Sodo ignored me and started to walk away. I groaned and I followed him.

- Sodo! Sodo!

I nearly like jumped around him and he stopped, and looked at me with his eyebrows furrowed.

- What?

He asked, I stood on my tiptoes and pecked his lips. He covers his mouth with his hand like he was suprised and flustred at the same time (of course, it was an irony). He rolled his eyes and we laughed together as we went back to other ghouls.

I was a bit more time after that and it was now evening of the Ritual.

I took my guitar and quickly hopped on the stage. I walked near Aurora's stage. I leaned against it, and we waited for our time to blast. Papa looked at us and crossed his fingers, smiling. I took a deep breath before we started playing Kaiserion.

I danced a lot with Aurora on her stage, and we sang into the mic together. After a few songs, I jumped off the small stage and slowly went to Sodo. I pocked his back with my finger a few times, and he turned around to face me. We were still playing our guitars, and I leaned my face closer to his. His covered forehead lay down on mine. I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths. Then we pulled away and continued playing.

The song finished and Sodo went to his stage to do his "epic" annoying solo. Everyone on stage was sooo done with him. I groaned and leaned my head backwards in an irritated behaviour. I walked up to him and threw my pick at him. I cupped Sodo's face (or even mask) and smoched his lips.

The crowd started screaming, but I didn't mind it, they always do it when we do something different or hot on stage.

Sodo stopped playing his guitar and put his hands into the air like he was surrendering. I giggled and pulled away from him.

In this time, Papa started talking about everything and how happy he is that we are here. I took a few steps to back away from Sodo, and he put hand over his mouth like he did earlier today. I giggled again and walked to the edge of the stage to say "hello" to our fans. I sent them kisses and made hearts with my hands.

When Copia's talk was over, we started playing another song "Respite on the Spitalfields". We all know it's Sodo's song. So when his part was on, I looked at him. The lights perfectly shined at him, making it impossible for me to look away.

- "Oh.. Satan, he looks soooo hot..."

I thought and I started fanning myself with my hands. Then I fell on my knees for him. He looked at me and walked up in front of me, smirking. My head fell backwards, and we played for each other for a moment. His head tilted to get a better look at me. I smiled and he helped me get up. We played together, having a lot of fun.

When the ritual was over, we all took our things and packed them up on our bus and truck. We didn't have to ride for a long time, but we had to stay on our bus overnight. It was, of course Copia's idea, 'cause "someone" didn't want to stay in a hotel and pay for it. 🙄

The ride was quiet. Everyone was tired and most of us fell asleep, but not me. Soft music was playing from the bus speakers and I watched the views from outside my window. The seat next to me was empty, only my backpack was laying on it. My body was covered by a blanket with a pretty design. It was a gift from Cumulus. There was also a pillow under my head.

My eyelids were getting heavy and I closed my eyes. I opened them rapidly when I felt someone poking my shoulder. I looked around and saw Sodo nearly standing on the floor. He was really sleepy, and I could see that.

- C- Can I? Phantom spread out on my chair, and I don't have a place to sit...

He mumbled, pointing at a seat next to me and later at his earlier chair, with puppy and sleepy eyes. I quickly nodded and put my backpack on the floor between my feet. Sodo sat next to me. I lay my back against the bus window and took my blanket of off me.

- Sodo.. Lay down on my chest, okay?

I said softly and he nodded. He slowly put his back on my chest so he was laying in between my legs. I put my blanket over us both.

Sodo sighed when I gently put my hand in his hair and started playing with it. He closed his eyes, melting at my touch. I kissed his forehead when I saw him slowly falling asleep. After a while, I fell asleep too...

I woke up to Sodo's wriggles. I opened my eyes and saw that it started to get light outside. I saw a pretty sunrise.

I groaned, feeling the pain from sleeping wrong hitting me. Sodo quickly looked at me with worry and shame.

- Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up..

He said and smiled weakly. I smiled and I saw a slight blush on his cheeks.

- No, it's okey..

I said and slowly lifted myself up to a sitting position. I saw Sodo going to his seat next to Phantom.

- (Y/n)!!! How's your sleep been?!

Cirrus shouted and I jumped, surprised. She was looking at me with really happy Aurora next to her.

- My whole body hurts, but why are you asking..?

I asked suspiciously. Cirrus opened something on her phone and handed it to me. It had a photo of me and Sodo cuddling and sleeping together. I blushed deeply and handed the phone back to her. They laughed and pulled away from me.

I saw Phantom, Swiss, Rain, and Sodo talking. Rain and Swiss from above the chairs. Phantom nudged Sodo with his elbow and nodded his head in my direction, laughing. Sodo looked down, blushing, and I looked away, blushing.

- "They are not gonna let this go, are they?"

I thought and looked at the views outside a window...

A/N: Can't be bothered to do a word count bc i'm tired. its about tyler saying he'd wait for reader when she comes back to columbus but when she comes back for the high school reunion she finds out he's married to jenna. so she starts to hit it off with josh.

Worthington Christian High School reunion. 2015. 7 years after Tyler and I had graduated. 7 years after I moved from Columbus to LA in search of making it as a film director. Everyone at home had thought I was insane, throwing my life away for a career I was almost guaranteed to fail at. Except Tyler. The other crazy dreamer in our grade, except his passion was music. We spent two summers together, him helping me make films and me helping organize gigs for him. When I left Columbus we promised we’d wait for each other. I loved him and was willing to do anything to make him mine. 

“I’ll wait for you,” a couple tears dropped down his face as he tried to remain strong. I pulled him in close for a warm embrace, feeling his chest rise and fall with his breath. I knew I would be back, I was going to make it and then I was going to come back for Tyler. But it had been 7 years and all we’d seen of each other was a few video calls. Tyler had achieved massive success with his band and it was impossible to avoid their songs on the radio. I’d ended up becoming a director, making a few movies and music videos, winning me my first Oscar. I didn’t know why but I was nervous to see Tyler, worried that he’d changed. It was a cold night so I’d made sure to put on a sweater. I was at least half an hour late–being stuck in a meeting with producers was almost always the reason I was late to everything–the entrance to the school was dead, except one man sitting on a bench, staring up at the night sky. 

“The reunion’s tonight, right?” I asked him, trying to figure out if I’d marked it wrong on my calendar. He didn’t look familiar to me, there was almost no way he’d gone to Worthington Christian, I knew everyone in our grade. 

“Yep,” he nodded. 

“Then why aren’t you in there?” I folded my arms and my breath came out in steam, the air much colder than I thought it was. 

“I didn’t go here, my friend and his wife are in there. I drove them here from my house and just stopped to get some air. What about you? How come you’re so late?” He smirked. 

“Uh… I had a meeting. Some producer thing for a new TV show in production. I’m a director,” I spoke, still trying to figure out how the man looked so familiar. He had curly brown hair and arms covered in tattoos, and that golden retriever look about him. 

“That’s cool, I’m a musician, the name’s Joshua,” he seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say, “have you made anything I might’ve seen?” I paused to think about what he might’ve seen. He was a musician so surely he’d watch music videos. 

“Well Joshua, I directed the music video for Green Day’s ‘Corvette Summer’ if you’re a fan of them,” I offered. His face lit up, clearly he had seen it. 

“Hell yes I’m a fan, the video was epic. Gosh, I love music videos, they’re awesome,” he grinned. Music blasted from inside the school, they were playing Tyler’s song, ‘Stressed Out’ which was my cue to go inside. 

“Sorry, I should probably get inside, it was nice meeting you Joshua.”

“Wait! What was your name?” He grabbed my hand. 

“Y/N,” I smiled. Joshua pulled out a business card from his wallet and passed it to me. 

“Get in touch with me, I live in LA too. We should get coffee sometime Y/N.” I nodded before slipping away through the doors. The song continued to blast through the speakers as I walked inside the gym. 

“Y/N! Hi!” a jock shouted, towering over me.

“How’s Hollywood?” a popular blondie who I was sure had peaked in high school preened, her phone flashing into my face. 

“Looks like we’ve got two stars in our grade,” Jack, the class president shouted over the mic. He was standing on stage, a can of beer in his hand like no time had passed at all. “Why don’t you two come up here? Talk to us about what it’s like to be better than all of us,” he let out a loud and obnoxious laugh which was then echoed back by everyone else in the room. I felt a hand on my back push me towards the stage, turning my head back to see him, Tyler Joseph. He looked so much older than the last time I’d seen him. His head was shaved in a buzzcut and head was wearing a yellow denim jacket. He looked famous. More so than me. He flashed a smile at me before taking the mic from Jack. 

“Hey everyone,” he waved, “god it is good to be back here with all of you, if you guys even remember us. If you don’t, then I was the basketballer who wrote poems at the back of Mr Stevenson’s math class while the rest of the team was failing his infamous algebra test,” he let out a loud laugh. “Now I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for Worthington Christian, the people at this school shaped who I am as a person. I found the confidence to share my music with people here. I stayed in Columbus and I met my loving wife.” I’m sorry, wife? Tyler Joseph was married? My Tyler? The Tyler who’d promised he’d wait for me? I felt dizzy. But that didn’t stop Tyler from shoving the microphone into my hand. The room went silent as I stood there feeling like I was spinning. This wasn’t happening. 

“I–I’m happy to be here,” I tried desperately to smile but I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes. “Thank you for having us back.” I handed the mic back to Tyler before leaving the stage and running out the gym. I felt warm, my cheeks flushing bright pink and the lack of water I’d drank finally catching up with me. I stared at the ground as I desperately tried to hold back sobs. 

“Y/N?” It was Tyler. 

“What the fuck do you want Joseph?” I spat, he knew exactly what he’d done. “I don’t want you here.” 

“I–I know you don’t. I effed up, I get it. But you never came back, you promised me you’d come back and you didn’t Y/N,” he sighed. 

“I fucking waited for you,” the tears started to pour down my cheeks. 

“I’m sorry,” he pulled me in for a hug, “I still care about you, okay? You’re still important to me.” I nodded my head, waiting for him to let me go. I needed to get back to my hotel before I screamed at him. Finally he pulled back, a sorry look clinging to his face. I pushed past him, walking into the parking lot, I was done. Joshua was still sitting out there looking up at the stars. He turned around as soon as I pushed open the doors, his eyes widening when he saw me. 

“Y/N? Are you okay?” 

“Joshua, now's not the time,” I snapped but all it did was make him look more worried. He stood up and started following me through the parking lot–my hotel was a 15 minute walk away. 

“What happened?”

“Just this guy I really liked, Tyler. When I moved to LA we promised we’d wait for each other but apparently he’d married,” I threw my arms up in frustration. Joshua looked confused.

“What?”

“I wasn’t aware you were that Y/N, if I knew I probably would’ve prepared you for what you were about to see,” he said. 

“That Y/N?” Joshua stopped walking and let out a sigh. 

“Y/N do you know anything about Tyler’s band other than radio hits and that he’s in it?” he asked. I shook my head, Joshua chuckled lowly. I probably should’ve known more about my best friend’s famous band but I had been busy. Making movies was tough work.

“Okay well… My name is Joshua but everyone calls me Josh–Josh Dun.” I still shook my head, having no idea what he was talking about. Should I have known who he was? 

“Okay Josh, what does that have to do with Tyler?” He looked baffled that I didn’t know what he was talking about. 

“Tyler’s band… twenty one pilots. I’m the drummer, the other member in the band.” My jaw dropped. Holy shit. Fuck. I just vented about my stupid crush on Tyler to his bandmate. 

“Oh my god, I’m so sorry. I’ll leave you alone now Josh,” I ran a hand through my hair and started walking away. 

“Y/N, wait!” Josh grabbed my hand, “I don’t want you to leave me alone. You seem cool, I want to get to know you. Tyler’s told me a lot about you and if it makes you feel any better he felt really bad when he started dating Jenna.” If Tyler felt bad then why did he do it? Clearly they were made for each other if he felt like he could break our promise. I was 25 and hadn’t dated anyone since I’d left for LA because of that promise. I’d wasted 7 years. 

“Thanks Josh. You seem cool too,” I smiled. Maybe Josh would be it, I’d only known him for an hour but he was friendly, interested in film and music, and incredibly attractive.

“You know, I haven’t had dinner yet, do you want to go get some food? Tyler said there was a diner nearby,” Josh suggested. I agreed and walked back to his car. 

Josh had a burger and I snacked on some fries. Things were going well, we’d talked about the band and what it was like touring and we talked about the film industry. We’d even realized that we were on the same flight back home. 

“When we get back to LA, I want to show you my place,” Josh held the door open for me as we left the diner. 

“I’d like that,” I replied, trying to hold back a smile. I climbed into his car as he drove back to the school to pick up Tyler and Jenna. “I should probably walk back to my hotel before Tyler comes out, I don’t want it to be awkward,” I sighed.

“It won’t be awkward, you’re with me. But I do want to give you something before you go back,” he replied. We drove into the school parking lot and waited while everyone walked out. 

“And what’s that?”

“A kiss,” he smirked, leaning in towards me. 

“Oh really?” I smiled, his hand coming to cup my face. I felt his lips brush mine and I closed my eyes, butterflies filling my stomach and cheeks flushing pink. 

“You’re really something else Y/N,” Josh whispered. Knock knock knock. I jumped, turning around to see Tyler standing there with his arms crossed and his wife hiding a smile. 

“You two have known each other for less than a day!” Tyler shouts, a hand rubbing his eyes. 

“And that’s my que to go. I’ll call you,” I laugh, getting out of the car. Josh says his goodbye and Jenna gets in the car. Tyler grabs my arm and drags me aside. He looked angry. 

“First you’re mad at me for marrying someone and now you’re kissing my best friend?” 

“Tyler, that's not fair. Josh and I, we’re just talking, it’s okay, he’s cool.”

“It better be okay because if he hurts you I’ll kill him,” he pulled me in for a hug. He still cared. He still cared.

Aggregating some of the tips in the notes, plus adding a few.

Anyone telling you that you have to read X book to be a "true reader" is a snobbish lying asshole. Don't get caught in their superiority complex.

Audiobooks! If you just can't stay focused on a text, you can listen while you do chores or drive or whatever you want. (As someone with ADHD, I adore audiobooks, because they make boring tasks tolerable and even fun sometimes.)

Find the format that works for you! Don't like physical books? Use e-books. Don't like reading text? Listen to audiobooks/audio dramas. Don't like texts or audio? Try graphic novels/mangas/webcomics/comic collections/etc. Don't like long stories? Check out some literary magazines or poetry. Hell, you can go read online blogs, news articles, whatever. None of these are more or less valid than the other.

Read it out loud to yourself! Try silly voices! Or, even better, find a reading buddy to read out loud to.

You don't need to challenge yourself; you're more than welcome to stay in your comfort zone. If that zone is one specific genre or plot, go for it! (there's a reason why fanfic tropes exist, you're hardly alone)

On the flip side, sometimes challenging yourself to try something new is the spice that you need to stay focused or interested. Of course, you don't have to stick to the challenge if you don't want to--like everything else, you can drop it at any time.

You can come back to things! Think you'll enjoy a book, but you just can't quite get through it right now? Pick it up again in a couple years and see what's different.

There is no superior genre or form of literature. Kid's books, ancient Greek epics, young adult, poetry, nonfiction essays, educational books, purely for-fun sci-fi and/or fantasy, philosophy, classics, short stories, Wild West, mechas, mystery novels, erotica, horror, high fantasy, it literally does not matter. If you like it, it has just as much value as anything else.

Don't know what to read or what you'd like? Ask around! A librarian can chat with you and match you to a book; a friend can point you to what they know you might like; ask around on social media, whether that be a Discord server, Tumblr, whatever. Be as specific or as general as you please.

Chances are good that the thing you want is out there somewhere. It might take some digging to find, but it'll be there.

Don't just pick up whatever you find at the front of the library or bookstore. Go wander around the shelves, pull things off at random, read the first paragraph or two, and put them back on if you want. (This is sadly harder with e-book apps, but not impossible; usually there are collections you can skim through. They do provide samples.) Librarians won't be mad if you pull ten books and return nine (or all!) of them unread; you're just figuring out what you like.

Fond of a TV show or movie series or games or something similar? Ask readers in those communities what they like to read. If you've got similar taste in shows/games/etc., you'll likely have similar tastes in reading.

Check out some open mic nights! Yeah, it's not reading a text or anything, but you're enjoying stories. That's what it's all about, at the end of the day.

From personal experience: if you enjoy writing, it's absolutely worth joining a writing community and reading other people's WIPs and drafts. I have absolutely loved my writing workshops, because I get to read some fantastic work from my classmates. Too many times have I read a manuscript and gone "...well fuck, I want this as a book." Plus, writers often have good taste, so they can point you to good stuff.

Two things I've learned about through writing classes that I didn't know otherwise:

Take a look at nonfiction essay collections. (Essays in the sense of short stories, mostly.) One of my best friends writes the most delightful short stories based on his experiences, varying from eye-opening reflections to laugh-out-loud fun. Plus, nonfiction essays can be pretty dang short--sometimes nonfiction essays only run a page long, occasionally even shorter.

POETRY IS NOT JUST RHYMES AND MIND PUZZLES (for fuck's sake, education systems). There's free verse! There's modern poetry that is gorgeous and also hilarious! There's poetry to raise awareness, to educate, to rage at oppressors! There's poetry that's just there to make you laugh! Poetry is not a genre, it is a form. Here's two opening stanzas from Tim Seibles's "Ambition II: Mosquito in the Mist" (I could only find it online in that article, so just scroll down a little):

You human-types, you two-legged sapien-sapiens, you guys are walking smoothies ta me, milkshakes wearin’ trousers, a cup’a coffee mowing a lawn. I gotta hand it to you though— all the colors, the smells, tall, petite, skinny-minnies or whoppin’ whale-sized motha’ humphries—you got variety: I’m zippin’ around some summa’ nights and it’s like an all-you-can-eat situation.

And that's just the first two stanzas! I promise you, if they taught this type of poetry in high school people would fucking love it.

And finally: if you don't want to read, don't. There's only so much time to be enjoyed in life.

Don't make yourself do something you don't like just because everyone tells you to. "Be yourself" applies to reading just as much as it does to everything else.
