How It Works - Creators

Creators can sign up now through July 15. All DCU creators welcome. Any parts of the DCU fandom are welcome (including crossovers). ALL types of fan works are welcome, including digital art and fanfiction (if you wish to donate a physical item, such as physical art or merch, please reach out to us).

Creators will have complete control over what they offer. Before July 20, creators will be expected to create commission sheets. Here is a guide on making a commission sheet. We will share all of these commission sheets on the tumblr page and in a masterpost.

Creators can begin posting their creations on August 17. This is NOT a deadline, but the whole week will be a celebration of everyone’s hard work. We will be sharing everyone’s completed works, the total amount raised, and more! We will continue to share completed commissions after this week. There are no specific deadlines, but we ask that creators be upfront with donors about their timeline. Creations should be posted on tumblr and there will also be an ao3 collection for fics.

How It Works - Donors

Commissions will be open July 20-August 10. Donors will be able to commission fanworks in exchange for donations to Palestinian causes. Donors get to pick which creator they would like to commission to get the DCU fan work of their dreams! Hello, talented Destiel fic authors, fan artists, merch makers and creative minds! Join us in making a difference through our fundraiser raffle for Palestine. Your contributions can play a crucial role in raising funds for medical aid, humanitarian relief, and access to clean food and water.

What is the Raffle?

Destiel Aid: Raffle for Palestine is a virtual fundraiser that aims to provide humanitarian aid to Palestine. We're raffling off destiel fan created prizes in return for screenshotted proof of donations to humanitarian aid orgs that are helping in Gaza. Destiel Aid does not accept financial contributions itself and cannot make donations on anyone else's behalf.

How Can I Help?

If you write fic, make art, make merch, or have something cool you'd like to donate as a prize, we would love to have you on board. If you're in a position to make a financial donation to an organization such as the Palestinian Children's Relief Fund, even better. Donate what you can, and keep a screenshot of your receipt for when donation time comes. Any donation made after March 8th will be accepted.

Hey y'all!

I am participating in an event for @dcufans4palestine!

For everyone that donates to support the people of Gaza, I will write a short fanfic based on their prompt!

I'm hoping that together we can raise money to help the people of Palestine through the power of our fandom community!

This event will run from July 20-August 10!

Here's How It Works:

Contact me about your request! We need to make sure I am comfortable writing your prompt before you pay anything. I am Wolfsbanesparks both here and on Discord.

Once your donation has been verified, I will reach out to you to begin work on your fanfic!

I will be working on fics in the order they are received so please be patient!

Also! For every donation you make you will be entered into the dcufans4palestine raffle! The prize includes: A $20 gift card to a comic seller of your choice and some fun Superpets merch! And if every creator gets at least one request the prize will double to $40!

While I primarily write for the Shazam/Captain Marvel side of fandom, I am open to writing any DCU character I am familiar with (message me for details if you have a specific character in mind!).

Over 100 people have responded to the poll I put out two days ago about a DCU charity event for Palestine (see the original post here) so I have decided to make an actual interest form.

Please fill out this form if you have any interest in participating in a DCU themed fan event to raise money for a Palestinian cause. Whether you want to create fanworks (of any type!) in exchange for donations, donate in exchange for fanworks, or help organize the event, please share your thoughts! All corners of the fandom are welcome. The more participants, the better. On top of figuring out how many people would be interested in participating, this form is also to learn what type of event people would be most interested in.

Hopefully there is a good amount of interest (and some volunteers to help run the event) and we can make this a reality!

There are currently three event options in the form. Here is a brief description of what each would look like:

1. Gotcha for Gaza: donors would send proof of a donation to the event with a prompt. There would be a team of volunteer creators the prompt would go to. A volunteer would claim the prompt and send their work to the donor. This would probably be mostly fanfic and/or fanart

2. Raffle: volunteer creators would offer up a prize. Prizes would most likely be commissions, but if anyone wanted to donate handmade physical art, merch, comics, etc, that would also be an option. Donors would be able to buy raffle tickets, likely for about $5 a piece. Raffle tickets would either be offered by category (donate $5 to fanfic category -> if you win, you are matched with a creator offering fanfic) or by creator (your raffle ticket would be going to the specific creator you are most interested in).

3. Commissions: creators would get to choose how much to charge, what they are willing to offer, etc. The event would share everyone’s commission details, but donors would contact the creators directly. This would probably be mostly fanart, maybe some fanfic

🚨 Exciting announcement for DCU Commissions for Palestine 🚨

We are excited to announce that thanks to some generous donations, we will now be holding two raffles for this event!

One raffle will be for every person who signs up as a creator, and one will be for every person who commissions a work!

For the creator raffle, every person who signs up to be a creator will get an entry. The prize will be a gift card to a comic book retailer of the winner’s choice + some adorable superpets merch (two charms and two stickers) courtesy of @cricketsintheaudience (see below)!

The current gift card amount is $20, but there’s a chance to get that higher! We currently have 16 creators signed up. If we get 20 creators, we will raise the amount to $30. If we get 25, the amount will raise to $40, and if we hit 30 sign-ups, the amount will reach $50! If we get over 30 sign ups, we will announce some more exciting surprises!

UPDATE 7/20/2024: We reached 26 sign ups, so all creators will be entered to win a $40 gift card, plus the adorable merch!

CJLO funding drive

montreal’s favorite radio station CJLO’s funding drive starts today (oct 11) and will run for two weeks (oct 26). every year we have cool merch, specialty programming, and sick events to raise funds to continue the existence of campus-community radio. we employ students, promote local ~underground~ artists, and produce news about local happenings and international issues (free Palestine). we’ve got some really cool events coming up and my radio show has 2.5 special episodes dedicated to this funding drive. also tune into our all nighter programming to hear me lowkey interviewing the former mayor of my home town <3 its very funny.
