I know Akira’s back story is supposed to rough and traumatic but all I can think about is one of her missions to dispose of a guy in a club. The song that plays in my mind is Hey Baby by Ptibull playing in the background while kicking ass and slitting throats. Having a little celebratory dance with the Dj that's too afraid to stop the music. Then steals his ipod liking the music too much.

This is how the interaction would go:

“Hey you music man give hand over that device.” pointing at the ipod

“Y-you mean my ipod b-but I need it to pl-” “Give it to me. In a exchange I won’t kill you.”

Just like clock work the guy hands it over along with his headphones.

Eventually she figured out how it works and pulls out whenever she wasn’t training or uses when she would train alone.

Post #2: Willy Shakes

Something I find interesting about Shakespeare is that he was able to get away with poking fun at real historical figures with very little push back. If I was writing like Shakespeare perhaps, I would construct a tale of King Baby Hands and his sidekick Pike Mence who had an electromaniac tendency toward queer people. I could tell the story of how a witch cursed King Baby Hands, causing his skin to turn orange and his tie to elongate. In fact, I could make up any lies I wanted. Unlike Shakespeare, King Baby Hands would NOT be bald, his hair would be as soft as ten babies’ butts, all of whom are legitimate, and from the same wife. In modern renditions of Shakespeare, both his plays and he as a person tend to take on a life of their own. Artist take liberties in order to appeal to a twenty first century audience, such as replacing swords with guns. Even the presence of women on stage is a contemporary aspect, not to mention a woman playing the male leads. Something that tends not to change are the lines themselves. I feel as though people tend to stay true to script because of the important place Shakespeare holds in society. Some companies even stay true to pronunciation, causing them to be most historically accurate. I tend to fall on the side of freedom. Since Shakespeare is dead, he should remain that way. The magic and awe of Shakespeare must be preserved and respected, while still making it enjoyable over the centuries. The lack of stage directions is a great opening for interpretation, costumes and props as well. Both the strict and loose interpretations of his works have a place in theater. The romanization of Shakespeare as a person is unavoidable. While abroad I will have dreams of a Shakespeare with the forehead that ironically would resemble President Trumps’ true hairline, and that earring he wore.
