I headcanon that Kal'istae was born in Doma, to a pair of Dotharl Xaela who were serving as mercenaries in the fight against the Garlean Occupation. Her parents took her and fled when Garlemald overran Doma, fleeing with a number of other Xaela mercenaries to Ishgard.

Continuing from the last ask: Mohg and Morgott's relationship has become greatly embittered over the years. And yet in spite of their animosities, Mohg still deeply, greatly cherishes Morgott - perhaps to a point of lust - even if his older half may not reciprocate such feelings.

It is an inevitability that the two will eventually come to clash. But Mohg would be lying if he said that the coming of such a day does not fill him with immense dread.

I've always wondered why the Romans think demigods all of a sudden started getting claimed? They couldn't know about Percy's deal with Olympus, so what do they think happened?

The gods were probably like "as a reward for fighting in the war we will now claim you all!"

The Romans were probably pretty proud of that.

Abandonment...

Nothing gnaws away at Mohg's heart more than abandonment...

He has suffered abandonment twice in his life.

The first time, he was abandoned by the eternal queen and the first elden lord, Marika and Godfrey respectively.

Beyond the statues carved in their likeness, he cannot recall a time to which he gazed upon their faces in the flesh. If he ever had such an opportunity to look upon his mother and father before they locked him away, such a memory is long gone.

To be abandoned by those who were supposed to love you was hard enough. Yet Morgott's abandonment, his own brother to whom he spent much of his life with, his grace, his guiding light in a world of darkness...

That was what hurt the most...

Legolas doesn't mention things he sees or hears because he thinks the others have noticed them to and just assumes they have a plan

Pippin complains that he is hungry and Legolas just gives him a handful of grass. Pippin is so confused that he just takes it, and now Legolas tries to figure out what hobbits can eat by just giving them random shit, like

Things the hobbits have accepted and likely eaten later (a list by legolas)

-Grass - Leaves

-Stones - a hair tie

-A feather - one of Gimli's shoes

The hobbits and Gimli just assume that this is what elves eat
