GALTx eNews: Spring Is Springing!

Spring is starting to spring and it's a great time to get out and enjoy the weather on sighthound walks! Walking is important for your hounds mental and physical health. It's even more beneficial when you can meet up with other sighthounds and make it a social experience too!

Here are a few walks in our operational areas that might be of interest to you:

The Greyt DFW Stroll: This walk is typically on the first Sunday of the month at 2:00 pm and the third Saturday of the month at 11:00 am. The next walk is Sunday, March 3, 2024, at 2:00 pm, in Heritage Park, Flower Mound. Times will change as the weather gets hotter and the April walks will likely be in Parr Park in Grapevine. Be sure to join our Facebook group, GALT's Pack, for announcements about this walk or email Barb at bchristian@galtx.org with questions.

Sighthound Sundays: This walk meets up every other Sunday in Houston. The next walk will be Sunday, March 3, 2024, at 9:00 am in Memorial Park, 6502 Arnot Street. See the Facebook event for all the details and weather updates about this walk or email Caitlyn at cjcduffey@gmail.com with any questions. GALT New Mexico Pack Walk: Sighthound parents often meet up on Sundays at 2:00, weather depending, at the Willow Creek Open Space. Be sure to join GALT New Mexico's Facebook group, GALT New Mexico, for updates on this walk or email dhowell@galtx.org with any questions.

If you can't find a walk in your area, consider starting up your own. Just pick a time and a place and let your local Greyhound parents know!

Attention otherkin, therians, and any and all alterhumans! My panel and meet up at LVFC has been officially approved!!!!

Tentatively, the panel will be on Sunday at noon in panel 3 room, and then immediately afterwards at 1:30pm will be the meet-up in the meet space at the convention!

Y’all I am STOKED! Any otherkin or therians from Utah, Nevada, Arizona, anywhere in the world!! I’m so excited to meet y’all!!! And if you aren’t otherkin/therian I am excited to show y’all some of the community and maybe introduce you guys to something new :)

Being a “Fun Fact !” kind of autistic is all fun and games until you get halfway through sharing an interesting tidbit and realize that it probably wasn’t appropriate to share in polite company and now you have to deal with the consequences :(

simon being delusional and pretending he's in a relationship with you because he has no game and can't work up the courage to approach you. maybe you're someone average and unimportant—like the waitress at the pub he frequents—but you've caught his attention, and he can't stop thinking about you.

he hasn't really interacted with you because he's always sitting at the bar with the rest of the boys, but you're sweet and polite, and he can't help the flurry of daydreams that rush through his mind.

he thinks about taking you home after your shift and nodding as if he's listening to you ramble about your night, but really he's concentrating on the soft rumble of your voice. he thinks about cleaning your tired face in the bathroom while you're perched up on the sink, a hand cupping your face to keep you upright while he quietly admires your pretty features. he thinks about dragging you into bed and holding you close to him, offering all the warmth you deserve as you curl up against his side.

he's got his head so far up his arse that when you actually approach this intimidating man who's been boring holes into your head to ask if he's alright, he kind of just short-circuits because you're actually speaking to him? there's no way his perfect girl is right here in front of him. he must be dreaming.

he doesn't realise he's just staring until you clear your throat and nervously say if he should ever need your help, to just ask. and then you're speed-walking off, praying he doesn't take you up on your offer. meanwhile, he's mentally playing russian roulette with a fully loaded gun because how did he fuck that up?
