I hate, hate, HATE when a vegan or vegetarian accidently eats/ uses an animal product or has a moment of weakness and gives in to a little spoon of dairy ice cream or meat etc and everyone(almost always non vegans) looses it and goes off on that person!
They always go “wasn’t that person supposed to be vegan?” or “lmao see!? You’re not as righteous as u thought u were” some even go as far as to accuse that person of being a “fake activist”!
I hate that so much cuz WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO HELP STOP ANIMAL CRUELTY!?
WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO STOP SPECIES EXTINCTION!?
WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO REDUCE HUMANITY’S IMPACT ON THE PLANET!?
WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO HELP MAKE SURE FUTURE GENERATIONS HAVE A HABITABLE WORLD TO LIVE IN!?
The imperfect vegans and vegetarians are at least putting in the effort!
You’re proudly being part of the problem while mocking, criticizing and ridiculing people who are trying to be part of the solution for not doing it perfectly!? Go f*ck yourself actually!

Truthahn ,Pute,zb.
Der ist so hässlich der Vogel, also ...
Aber Kühe...niemals.

Did you know?
That you can be an animal rights activist without being vegan or vegetarian?
That you can believe that the cruelty towards animals in the meat industry is unjust without believing everyone in the world should be vegan/vegetarian?
That you can believe that there are far better, more humane and merciful ways to slaughter livestock than what we currently do without being vegan?
That you can believe that the conditions and environments of animals, farm or pets or wild, should be a priority amongst people without being vegan or vegetarian?
That you can have strong opinions on animal cruelty without being vegan or vegetarian?
That you can be vegan without trying to force everyone else to also be vegan?
(Kudos to thoes who do. Love u)
That you can believe all life, from insects to trees, from land and sea, should be treated with respect- while still also acknowledging that no one is ever going to stop eating meat?
That people are vegans for alot of reasons, and not always, if not rarely, for protest or performative reasons?

I thought I'd give a little update on my journey of trying to eat meat again after about 11 years of vegetarianism.
This is what has changed so far:
• literally nothing
• just more tootin'
• like really just more gas
• that's it
Thank you for reading ☺️

I've gone back to eating meat after around 8 years of being vegetarian. It got to the point where my body just wasn't happy at all with my diet (constant bloating, changes in toilet habits etc) and a health screening at work was a bit of a wake-up call in terms of what my body needed (or seemed to need).
If anyone is interested in any changes I've noticed since or what it's like to eat meat again after such a long time, just let me know :)

every day I stop myself from actually sharing my full frustration with the weird dissonant self righteous pervasive culture on this website of meat eaters who don't want to feel guilty about eating meat twisting themselves up in knots to paint non-meat or animal product eaters as *checks notes* racist? secret animal haters who don't see the benefit to animals that is eating them (actual take I've seen)? some other bullshit? like it's more annoying to me that you're so set on not feeling any responsibility or guilt over your own decisions that you set out to demonise people who choose to not eat animals or who share their opinions on not eating animals by co-opting and transplanting a moral outrage you use only when it suits you, to regain some imaginary high ground which gives you the ease and comfort to continue eating meat which you've decided has been stolen from you by other people not eating it, RATHER THAN JUST EATING MEAT AND SHUTTING THE FUCK UP.
like. how is it that I've had so many people I've followed over the years just one day either make or reblog the most batshit unexamined take on meat consumption, radiating the smug aura of zero self reflection, when their posts seem otherwise completely normal? it's exhausting.
I don't care if you want to eat meat, I'm nobodies moral arbiter, but why do the same flimsy, hypocritical takes get paraded around like iron shields?
okay. so today I didn't stop myself....
