lets all join hands and normalize the fact that you can in fact make really delicious, simple food that’s not made from scratch? Like, rice noodles, chopped up chicken or tofu, bean sprouts, bok choy and some bottled peanut sauce from the store makes some good eating. And its not “less than” bc its not made from scratch.

The First Lord in Different Houses: Your Personal Astrology Adventure! 🌟
Grab your chart, get comfy, and let's dive into the First Lord and how it impacts your identity. Whether you're the life of the party or the secret genius, this is where the magic happens, and honestly, it's kind of hilarious too. 😜
First Lord in the 1st House
You walk into a room, and everyone knows you’re there—there’s no hiding.
Confidence is your middle name, and you never miss a chance to strut your stuff.
You are an introvert’s worst nightmare!
Independent? Yeah, you invented it.
People say, “Look at them go!”... and you say, “Yeah, I know, I’m fabulous.”
First Lord in the 2nd House
You might lowkey feel like a walking bank account sometimes (it’s okay, you’ve got the swagger).
Money, possessions, and fine dining—that’s your love language.
Your idea of a good time? Maybe buying a new shiny thing or investing in something ‘important’.
A strong connection to your self-worth... and your credit score.
You get really excited about sales. Like, really excited.
First Lord in the 3rd House
Conversations? Oh, you’re always ready for one. And you’re the one leading it.
Your brain is like a Google search engine: full of random knowledge and probably some memes.
You could talk a dog into believing it’s a cat, and they’d never know the difference.
Restless much? Thought so. You’re onto the next idea before the first one’s finished.
Social media’s best friend—wait, is that a notification?
First Lord in the 4th House
You’re basically the “mom friend”—making everyone’s home feel cozy and safe.
Family gatherings are your jam (but only because you secretly judge everyone’s cooking).
Your vibe? “My house, my rules, but I’ll let you have a snack.”
You might look for a place to hide from the chaos and recharge... hello, couch naps!
Your home feels like a warm hug—and you give really good hugs.
First Lord in the 5th House
Drama? You’re probably starring in it (or at least watching it from the front row).
Flirting is your second language—don’t even try to resist.
You’re the life of the party, even if it’s just your dog and a Netflix marathon.
Hobbies? Well, they’re more like passions that take up all your time.
You’ll probably try to make everything a competition. “Who can make the best TikTok?”—Spoiler alert: It’s you.
First Lord in the 6th House
You love a good routine, but only because it means you’re in control.
Your daily mantra: “I’m not stressed, I’m busy—there’s a difference.”
Healthy eating? Absolutely. Just as long as it’s also fun (kale smoothies and 12-step meal prepping, anyone?).
You might accidentally become a perfectionist because, well, why not?.
You can’t relax until everything’s in place. Spoiler: It’s never in place.
First Lord in the 7th House
Relationships are your thing—friendship, romance, business partnerships, you name it.
You need a partner in crime—someone to do life with.
You’ll be the diplomat in any situation: “Let’s just all get along, okay?”
It’s not “me,” it’s we. You’re practically the CEO of Teamwork.
You thrive on validation from others—but hey, who doesn’t love a little support now and then?
First Lord in the 8th House
You’re that one person who probably has a secret collection of ancient texts—or at least watches a lot of true crime documentaries.
Deep transformation is your thing—your emotional rollercoaster has no brakes.
You have a knack for digging into other people’s deepest fears... or maybe just for figuring them out.
You’ll never shy away from a good existential crisis. Isn’t life just a series of changes?
You live for the intense, the mysterious, and, of course, the taboo.
First Lord in the 9th House
Wanderlust is your middle name—you’ll plan a trip to the other side of the world just because.
Your mind is always soaring above the clouds—metaphorically, of course.
You’re a fan of philosophy, and you probably have a shelf full of “deep” books that you’ll talk about for hours.
You think big, dream big, and might just try to change the world (at least your corner of it).
If you haven’t been to at least three countries, are you even living?
First Lord in the 10th House
You’re here to make a mark, and the world is your stage (just don't forget your best performance).
Career is serious business for you—but you’ll look fabulous doing it, of course.
Your reputation? Oh, it’s everything. You’ll take great care of that.
People might ask you what you do, and you’ll casually drop your “BOSS” vibes.
You’re the leader, the boss, the go-getter. They just haven’t realized it yet.
First Lord in the 11th House
You’re always looking toward the future—Hey, have you seen that next big thing?
Your friendships are everything, but don’t expect small talk. It’s all about big dreams and world-changing ideas.
You’re the social butterfly, flitting between events and people... but deep down, you’re a visionary.
If you’re not organizing a group project, are you even living?
You can totally turn any group into a movement—don't underestimate your powers.
First Lord in the 12th House
Solitude is your best friend—you probably thrive on some alone time... okay, a lot of alone time.
You’ve got that “mysterious vibe” going—people aren’t sure if you’re an enigma or a guru.
Spiritual awakenings? You have all the answers, but you don’t always share them.
You might be a secret healer, helping others in ways no one will ever know.
Boundaries? You prefer to merge with the universe, thanks.
Feeling curious about how each House Lord affects your identity and life journey? 🌠

I love the name combos- We got Honey and Sugar PLUS Sugar and Spice! My FBI agent has to know about my growing hunky Latino men addiction. My tiktok is feeding me Jayce content with “Beso Al Aire” and it's making my latina heart do fucking backflips.
Do you think we could get a DILF!Jayce with a reader who takes care of his kid and homelife while he's working. They know he’s a busy man so they guarantee him that his kid tucked in sound asleep, the house is clean, and a warm plate of food is waiting for him.
I so desperately need to talk to someone to feed my growing Jayce obsession.
DADDY’S HOME - JAYCE X READER

synopsis: you're the babysitter to a incredibly cute little girl, Isabella. Her dad unfortunately has a very busy job and is constantly out of the house (against his will, of course) so you take care of her for him. You take care of him too. Who wouldn’t want to care for Jayce Talis?
warnings: age gap (early 40’s Jayce, mid-20s reader), oc daughter, teasing, flirting, risky sex (like hello there's a kid in the house), quiet sex
genre: m/f or m/m
p.s. Older dilf Jayce save me. Please older dilf Jayce 🙏🙏

Isabella Talis is the cutest little girl you've ever seen. She's damn near a carbon-copy of her dad. Big brown eyes, bouncy black hair, sun-kissed skin, and big 'ol dimples when she smiles.
You've been babysitting her for a while now, about a decade now. You got the job when you were fifteen, now you're twenty-five. You started babysitting Bella when she was three, now she's thirteen. Honestly, she makes you feel old.
Especially since so many people assume you're her parent.
Going grocery shopping with her, going out to eat, having girl's days together, going to school events and celebrations; you can see where people are coming from.
Especially since Bella listens to you without hesitation. She only calls you by your name or nickname, but that doesn't matter. You're her parent in all the ways that matter.
Isabella's mom wasn't ready. She didn't want to be a mom, you can't blame her. Jayce was in his late-twenties to early thirties when Bella was born, her mom was a few years younger than Jayce. So Jayce became her single-dad with Grandma Ximena helping care of her.
So, you’ve gotten quite used to caring for young Isabella Talis.
You’ve also gotten used to caring for her dad, Jayce Talis.
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
Jayce Talis is a very well known man. A co-creator of Hextech, a councillor of Piltover, constantly working. Poor thing is exhausted.
So you ensure he’s taken care of.
You clean the house, you make hot meals for him, you even meal prep for him.
He can’t tell you how grateful he is for that.
But he shows it in his actions.
He ensures you’re also cared for, he pays you well for your work (even though you try to deny it every time. He insists), he gets you gifts that you’ll appreciate for life, he’s even physically affectionate.
Sometimes you think it’s wrong, but you don’t care.
A kiss to your cheek, your neck, his beard tickling your skin, his hands on your waist, your hips, long loving hugs. Hands playing with your hair, hands massaging your neck.
God, you feel like you’re in the foreplay section of a porn video.
“Babysitter gets ruined by Older Hot Boss. 35:12”
You’ve always found Jayce attractive, you obviously didn’t act on it since you were underage. It was wrong, taboo. Now, you’re an adult.
Having your fantasies isn’t wrong, it isn’t against the law.
But you’re quite certain Jayce feels the same way. You remember the last time you were cooking for Jayce after he came home, Isabella already sleeping in her room.
You remember Jayce pining you essentially to the stove top as you stirred the boiling pasta. Kissing the nape of your neck as he slowly ground his hips into your ass. You felt how needy he was, and you let him continue.
Poor thing is pent up, and you did promise yourself you’d do anything to help him out.
It also helped it made you feel good too.
You two didn’t talk about it when eating dinner together, but your heated gazes said more than any words could.
Turns out the fantasies you’ve had since you were a student at the academy may actually come true.
· · ─────── ·𖥸· ─────── · ·
You have to be quite. No if’s, ands, or buts. Isabella is sleeping just down the hall, and you don’t want to traumatize her having her hear you two have sex.
So you cover your mouth desperately as Jayce pounds into you. Thank god the bed doesn’t squeak.
The two of you angle yourselves so your skin doesn’t slap together. You don’t want her to hear anything. You know how awkward and traumatic it is to hear your parents have sex and you don’t want Bella to go through that.
But damn does Jayce fuck like a sex god.
His salt and pepper hair falling into his face, his mouth curled into a sneer as he holds back his moans, his hips punishing.
Your eyes water at the overwhelming pleasure. You rip your hand away from your mouth and desperately kiss Jayce. His hips stutter a bit before picking up speed, the two of you whining into each other’s mouth.
A desperate grip causes Jayce’s back to get red lines. The cuts lightly bleeding as you cum around his cock. The fluttering of your hole cause Jayce’s eyes to roll the back of his head as he cums inside you.
The two of you pant as you kiss, Jayce essentially falling on top of you. You grunt due to the weight but don’t complain, he’s the perfect weighted blanket. You caress his face, his beard surprisingly soft.
“We probably shouldn’t have done that.” Jayce states quietly, your hand pauses for a moment, “Probably. But I don’t regret it.”
“Neither do I. Stay the night? I don’t feel comfortable having you leave so late at night.”
You smile sweetly at Jayce, he’s always cared for you the entire time he’s known you. What a sweetheart.
“Of course.”
Jayce smiles, the crows feet near his eyes deepening as his pearly whites beam at you, the little gap between his front teeth make you want to coo, “Isabella is gonna freak out knowing you slept over and it wasn’t with her for once.”
You lightly laugh as you slap Jayce’s back, he laughs too.
“You’re such a shit disturber.”
“You have no proof.”
Yeah… your fifteen year old self would be screaming and fainting right about now. Your inner teen is immensely satisfied.
As are you as a twenty-five year old.
Dilf Jayce 😩😩 he 100% gives girl dad

BOY DAD INTAK
genre. fluff. headcanons. non-idol au but music-related/piwon related stuff is still mentioned!! warnings. pregnancy/parent/baby stuff. sooo messy i'm very sorry abt that. not proofread. pairing. husband!intak x fem!reader. wc. 1.1k. request. for @blue-jisungs <33 a/n. i wanted to finish this quickly esp with everything going on just so maybe u have smth to distract urself axe ☹️☹️☹️ i love u so much <33 net. @kstrucknet

When he finds out you’re pregnant he’s honestly so shocked
But a good shocked of course
Safe to say it wasn’t entirely planned sjdksjs
You’re both still very young but even though it was unexpected Intak is ready to be a dad and super excited for it :(
He’s the best at taking care of you during your pregnancy
He always was when you were dating but he takes extra steps to make sure all your needs are met
He will always make sure you have whatever food you’re craving
Plus he’s down to try the weird combinations as well
More often than not they taste terrible to him while you’re chowing down
But he finds it endearing
He’ll watch you eat from across the table with his head rested on his fist and a smile on his face
He keeps track of what meds you should be taking and reminds you when you forget
Although his work can keep him busy sometimes, he’d drop everything for you if you needed it
He will always always make it to your appointments
Just because he’s not the one growing the baby doesn’t mean he can skip out on any of the steps— it’s his child as well after all
And he makes sure to always answer his phone and check his texts even if you’re updating him about your day he’ll take the time to text you back
He doesn’t announce that you’re pregnant to the other members until you’re well along in your second trimester
But it’s met with excitement from everyone
Probably a look from Keeho and a throwaway “aren’t y’all still young?”
But he’s over the moon excited to be an uncle trust he’s going to be present in the baby’s life
Theo would gift you all the practical things you could need like diapers, monitors, and bottles
Once the baby arrives Jiung will probably meal prep some food for both of you (which you are forever grateful for)
Soul finds the most interesting baby toys on the market but despite Intak’s slight judgemental look when he receives them, you think they’re all great
Jongseob is fully composing lullaby and nursery rhymes, except you’re a little unsure of how easy they are to follow once he throws in complicated rap rhythms
Keeho’s proud of Intak and excited for you— he knows you’ll be the best parents
But as the leader, he’s also more than eager to help out wherever you need it, especially with cleaning or just little things to help you destress when you need it, mainly during postpartum :’)
Intak is extra clingy while you’re pregnant, especially when your bump starts to show
Even if it’s only been a few days since it was visible, he is all over you
You probably receive a million kisses a day, and trust his arms are always wrapped around your waist, feeling your bump with that proud dad smile on his face
Always says his son is gonna have the coolest dad ever, and you can’t even argue with him because you do think Intak is gonna be the coolest dad ever
And when your son arrives, Intak couldn’t be prouder
Definitely cries holding him for the first time, and is probably very emotional the first couple of days
But he is also your biggest support
He’s doing absolutely everything he can to make sure you can rest after delivery; seriously won’t let you lift even a finger
He shows you off even more than before, he just thinks you’re so incredible and amazing for everything you’re capable of, and how good of a mom you are
He’s more in love with you than ever
Each milestone your son reaches is so important to Intak, from his first smile, to his first word (which he’s proud to say was “dada”), to his first steps and first day of school
Intak is one of those dads who is constantly giving all his friends and family updates about your little ones and sharing cute moments of his son with him
He’s so close with his son, and you’re always happy to see them spending time together
Of course, he’s gonna raise his son right!!
From an early age, he’s always talking to his son about doing things for mom; whether it be cleaning the house cause you had a long day, planning a surprise date cause it’s been a while, or buying you flowers because it’s mother’s day
Doesn’t matter if your son can’t even talk yet, Intak will still be talking about every occasion that is important to you
And they plan all the special things together <3
Dressed up in matching suits for your first mother’s day, and your heart melted :(
Intak includes your son in everything, and they just make the best duo, you couldn’t be happier to have them in your life
Date nights with Intak used to be a super regular thing in your early marriage, but it becomes pretty tricky with a kid to manage
You rely on Intak’s friends to babysit a lot, especially Keeho and Theo who are more than happy to compete for best uncle award
You can usually sneak in at least 3 dates per month amidst your busy schedule <3
Intak is the best person ever to comfort his son and also to give the best advice
He’ll always wipe his tears and assure him whenever he stumbles, especially as a toddler/little kid around 2-6
He’s always telling his son how proud he is of him and how he can do anything he ever wants to and be backed by his dad
As your son grows older, Intak gets a bit more emotional about it
Because he’s not as small and dependent as he used to be :(
Especially at around age 5-6, he’s really getting out of his shell, and Intak feels bittersweet about it
Of course, he’s beyond proud of his son for making new friends and trying out new things by himself with the introduction of school
But he also misses those more quiet days when it was just you two and your baby doing everything together :(
Your son starts to develop some of Intak’s habits, and you find it so cute how he’s becoming a little carbon copy of his dad
They share the same interests and can always be found playing together
Definitely starts enjoying music with his son really early on and is always dancing and singing/rapping with his kiddo <3
And also loves to get into sports with his son and compete (although he’ll almost always let his son win)
You find it incredible how they can stay entertained together for hours
Of course, Intak doesn’t have endless energy like his son does, but he still somehow keeps up just running off of love and pride for his kid
Best boy dad you could ever ask for !!!

if you are taking ideas/requests whenever you are can you write reader going to see plug!connie in jail and they talk on the phone and it’s just so cute and ughh
WARNINGS ✩ — (i don’t know how visitations work so bare with me), suggestive language, eh nothing just cute, connie is written as dominican
You follow the security guard into a cold concrete room. You’ve been here plenty of times before so you know exactly where you are going. You keep your face straight and mean mug every security guard who looks you up and down. You make sure to listen to Connie’s orders everytime.
“Make sure you look mean as fuck when you come up in here. You too pretty to be inna place like this”
You sit at the booth, waiting for Connie to come out. You were slightly chilly sitting at the cold metal. Your pink longsleeve shirt wasn’t enough to keep you warm. You brushed your palms on your true religion jeans. Connie always made you nervous no matter how long you’ve been around him.
You look up when you hear the door open, slight chatter in the background from other booths.
You see your gorgeous husband boyfriend, his arms covered in tats. He had on a short sleeve white tee, His jumpsuit resting around his waist.
You immediately break out into a smile as he sits down, grabbing the phone off the wall.
“Hi babyyy” Connie feels his heart beat faster as your sweet voice greets him. “Hey princess. You look so pretty.” His voice slightly cracked in the middle of his sentence. He wanted to touch you so so bad. But soon he’d be able to.
“Thank youuu. Do you like my nails? I got ur favorite color.” You hold your hand up to show him the pink charmed nails.
Connie shook his head and smiled. I’m pretty sure that’s you’re favorite color.”Yeah baby they look good.”
“How was your week?” Connie just wanted to hear you talk, hear your voice. In these moments you kept him sane. These little fifteen minutes highlighting his entire month.
“Ummm it was okay. I went over Mika’s for a bit and I actually meal prepped this whole week which surprised me because I never make it through the whole week,” You talked with your head down.
“Look at me I wanna see your pretty face” Connie demanded. You swallowed your nerves at looked him in the eye.
“What did you eat?”
“Just simple chicken and rice and then I just seasoned mixed vegetables. It was good though.”
Connie groaned and threw his head back, “Baby that would hit so good right nowww”
You laughed, “Don’t worry. When you come home i’ll cook you all of your favorite foods and you can eat it all by yourself”
“I think I just wanna eat one thing.” Your eyebrows furrow before you look at Connie’s expression, seeing him look at you with low eyes scanning your body up and down.
You gasped, covering your mouth, “Baby you’re so nastyyyyy”
“Girl y’know you want me to.” His teeth tug on his bottom lip before he smiles.
You fight the urge to scream, kick your feet, and giggle.
You roll your eyes playfully while smiling.
“You went shopping like I asked you too?” You nodded your head, “Mhmm. I got some more shoes and some random stuff from Bath and Body Works” Connie nodded his head. “That’s good”
“I checked up on your mom too like you asked me” You add.
“Good girl” His smooth voice rings through your ear. You always complied with him. You were such a one in a lifetime girl and he would kill just to not fuck it up. You were holding him down while he was locked up, he couldn’t ask for more. You made sure his business still resumed, running drops yourself even when Connie asks you not to. You just have Jean come with you to be safe.
“I miss you so much” You pout. “I miss you more princess. Just three more months ight?”
“Yeah” Your voice trailed off. You haven’t touched your boyfriend in over a year. You were touch and sex deprived but you would wait on Connie. Even if it took decades.
You were interrupted out of your thoughts when you heard the security guard from behind you.
“Time is up”
Connie laughed as he watched you look over your shoulder at the guard, rolling your eyes before flipping your hair over your shoulder. “I hate that big neck ass block head guard” You smacked your teeth.
“I love you so much princesa. You take care of yourself good kay ma?”
“Okayy. I love you more” You fight away that burning feeling in your throat, not wanting to leave your man but you had no choice.
You blew a kiss at Connie before following the guard.
Connie made sure to take a look at your ass, licking his lips. “No way her ass got fatter…”

Show Must Go On
pairing: secret softie!park jongseong x reader
genre: high school au; crack, comedy, fluff
synopsis: When you told the waitress to give your compliments to the chef, you didn't expect the chef to come out and thank you personally, and you really didn't expect the chef to be your classmate Park Jongseong. Realizing how bad this could be, he has you keep it a secret. That shouldn't be too hard for you to do he thinks, but you're full of surprises- and slip-ups.
before you read: character profiles | sunghoon series
warnings: language, loser enhypen
word count: 2.7k
tag list (open): @ancnymcnzjy @melancholy-z @lamin143 @soobinbunnie5 @benny1989fredd @bbsantc
note: part 2 of my and scene! series, loosely based off en-drama.
Entry 001: 22/05/24
Believe it or not, but Park Jongseong wakes up at 5 am every morning, and has done so for the past three years of his life. His friends would have a fit if they heard that, as he was notoriously known for running late to class every single day.
His teachers wouldn’t believe him either, as Mr. Lee himself has chased Jongseong down one too many times for trying to sneak into first period half an hour late by hopping the side gate.
(Riki’s stupid April Fool’s prank had him up at 3 am, his dad thought he was going crazy for how early he was up that day.)
But it wasn’t like he was doing crimes or wasting time before school. No, Jongseong was busy working his ass off at the restaurant his family owned, prepping the kitchen before they opened at 7:30 am sharp.
“Fresh eggs are beautiful, aren’t they?” His mother smiles as Jongseong helps his father carry in the mounds of cartons of eggs the delivery driver just dropped off. She’s holding one of the brown eggs, admiring its color.
“They are,” He nods with a gentle smile. She chuckles and ruffles his bed hair. “Let’s go, we still need to wash and chop the cabbage for kimchi.” She tells him, and he follows her deeper into the kitchen.
Jongseong’s mornings were usually pretty peaceful. He and his parents prepare the restaurant for a long day ahead: making a fresh batch of kimchi to ferment, restocking ingredients, cleaning and pre-cutting meat, washing any leftover dishes, tidying up the restaurant- you name it, he’s done it.
He took pride in knowing he’s able to help and create not only delicious meals, but an enjoyable atmosphere for people to eat in.
“You better hurry, you still need to get ready for school.” His mother urges. They’d returned home to eat their own breakfast. Jongseong shovels his food down his throat (his mom made him scrambled soft tofu and eggs over rice).
“And didn’t you say you’ve still got some Biology homework to finish?” His dad asks, washing a plate.
His eyes widened. He did have a page left in his workbook. Crap.
“Gotta go bye!” Jongseong swallows the rest of his food, downing his drink in seconds before placing his dishes in the sink. “Don’t forget to brush your hair!” he hears his mother call, before he dashes upstairs to his bedroom.
15 minutes later Jongseong showered, changed out of his dirty work clothes into his school uniform, and is now struggling to blow dry his hair while simultaneously brushing his teeth.
He checks the clock, it’s 7:42. He had 18 minutes to get to school. If he ran, he could catch up to the guys, and maybe convince Jaeyun to help him with the last page of his Biology homework during lunch.
He rinses his mouth, and runs back to his room to stuff his books and binder into his bag. At the front door, he trips on his way out while slipping on his shoes.
Jongseong runs across the street, barging into the already bustling restaurant. He waves to a few regulars who greet him cheerily. “Mom?” He leans against the counter, calling out for her.
“I’m here! I made you lunch too,” She holds up the neat looking container, and he happily places it into his bag. “Have a good day at school alright? Don’t be late, I don’t know if I can handle another call from the office about you being tardy,” She warns him.
“Thanks, I’ll be fine,” He assures her. “I’ll be back as soon as I can.”
His mother nods, and pats his head. “Be safe, I love you.” She gives him a hug and kisses his cheek. Feeling embarrassed, he blushes, reeling back (he’d wipe his cheek if it weren’t for the fact he knows his mom would complain).
“Okay, see you later,” He grins, walking out.
“Bye son!” His dad cheers, sticking his head out from the kitchen window. Jongseong laughs before ducking out back onto the street.
He dashes down the road, running through smaller streets and alleys as fast as he can. His watch reads 7:50, he’s gonna need to speed it up. Jongseong decided to take a shortcut, sprinting through a park to save him some time.
“Hiya mister!” One of the little kids shouts as he goes down the slide. Jongseong chuckles and gives him a big wave as he darts past.
Going back on the main road, Jongseong decides to climb a fence and he’s happy to see on the other side a group of familiar boys, walking leisurely a few meters ahead. Perfect.
Jongseong leaps, landing a bit roughly, not bothering to dust himself off before jogging over to join his friends.
“Thought you’d never show,” Sunoo greets. “You need to stop sleeping in,” Sunghoon lectures. Instead of arguing, he just nods, rolling his eyes.
“Where’s Jungwon?” He asks, looking at the group to realize his best friend was nowhere to be found.
“What do you mean?” Heeseung looks at him, confused. “Jongseong has been late all week, he doesn’t know.” Riki answers.
“Remember Jungwon's president now? He has to come to school early,” Jaeyun fills him in, as they enter school through the front doors. With a groan, Jongseong nods, he’d forgotten about that.
Elections were last Friday, and two days ago on Monday, the results were posted. Jongseong had lost the position he wanted as Treasurer.
While initially upset, Jongseong saw the silver lining of it all. He had no idea how he would be able to juggle being on the student body council, and help his parents with the restaurant (on top of his grades… yikes).
Jungwon on the other hand, had miraculously won the position as Student Body President, his biggest fears coming true.
“They won’t even let me pass it off to Euijoo,” Jungwon sighs as he calls Jongseong a few nights ago. “I don’t even want to be president, Euijoo does! This has to be rigged, my speech was horrible. I literally told people to not vote for me!”
“So do we actually know if the votes were rigged?” Jongseong follows Jaeyun to his classroom. “Dude, Jungwon’s super popular. He’s friendly to everyone, funny, good looking, and down to earth. Who wouldn’t vote for him?”
“He’s like a breath of fresh air compared to all the uptight and strict past presidents” Sunghoon pops into the conversation. “Or at least that’s what my girlfriend told me.” He shrugs. “Oh geez, here we go again,” Jaeyun rolls his eyes.
Ever since Sunghoon got a girlfriend, he’s been insufferable. They’ve been dating for a total of one week and Sunghoon has made it very very apparent that he believes he’s the chosen one.
Before Sunghoon can argue, his girlfriend arrives, tackling the boy in a hug and distracting him for his friends. “Anyways” Jongseong clears his throat. “Jayeun, think you could help me finish my Biology homework at lunch?” The other boy eyes him, looking uninterested. “Do I have to?”
Jongseong huffs. “I’ll buy you a Yakult.” Jaeyun looks tempted. “Buy two and I’ll help.” Jongseong gives in, sighing with a nod while his friend smirks triumphantly. The warning bell rings and Jongseong begins to depart back to his class.
“And make sure they’re nice and cold!” Jaeyun calls out. Jongseong doesn’t even turn around as he gives him a thumbs up.
“Can’t you just do the entire thing for me?” Jongseong whines. “Not unless you buy me one more Yakult.” Jaeyun teases. Like hell he’d pay for another tiny overpriced yogurt cup, even if it was supposed to be good for you.
“Give me that,” He swipes his workbook back, trying to focus while Jaeyun laughs at him.
“Biology isn’t that hard,” Riki says as he takes a bite of his food. “Remind us again what’s your rank in your class?” Jongseong asks as he scribbles down an answer. Riki goes quiet, mumbling obscenities as Sunoo cackles at him. “He’s like five away from last,”
Someone suddenly throws their tray down onto the table, catching everyone by surprise.
“Look who finally arrived!” Riki’s mood flips and he graciously stands to bow, hands pointing to the empty spot beside him. “Your seat, your majesty!”
Jungwon doesn’t look the least bit excited as he sits down.
“Hey, we saw you on the intercom this morning! Good job on the announcements,” Heeseung smiles. “Thanks.” Jungwon’s eye twitches.
“That was so funny,” Riki begins to laugh. “Dude, Riki C and I were gonna piss our pants.”
Jungwon’s eyes turn sharp, he suddenly grabs Riki by the collar, scaring everyone at the table.
“I know where you live Nishimura, I will hunt you down and personally make your life a living hell. Your sister told me you still sleep with your baby blanket. Don’t test me.” Jungwon growls, and Jongseong has to step in and pull him away.
“Okay, calm down prez, you’ve got an entire cafeteria watching you.” He reminds his best friend. (Riki clutches his throat as he moves to sit next to Heeseung. The senior comforts him, petting his hair and whispering soothing words.)
Jungwon settles, now moping as he picks at his food. “If I have to sit through one more boring ass meeting, I don’t know what I’ll do, but I’m going crazy.” Jongseong eyes him as he finishes his workbook, stuffing it into his bag and pulling out the lunch his mom packed.
“Looks like I dodged a bullet,” He jokes, only to receive a glare from Jungwon. “Sorry,” he mumbles.
“Don’t stress out too much,” Heeseung says. “If you want, I can ask my sister to help you out. She’s the new secretary.”
Not only Jungwon, but the entire table, is silent as they stare at Heeseung for a total of seven seconds.
“Your sister is Lee Yunah?!” Jungwon hisses, voice lowering as he mentions the girl’s name.
“Yeah,” Heeseung frowns. “You guys didn’t know? Everyone says we look alike.”
But no one seemed to hear him, everyone was confused how someone so nice, friendly, and popular as Lee Yunah, was related to… well, Heeseung.
“I sit across from her in class, we talk all the time, she’s never mentioned you were her brother.” Sunoo looks shocked.
“I don’t know, we don’t really interact at school since we’re in different grades, so maybe that’s why?” Heeseung shrugs, continuing to eat his food.
That was definitely not the reason why.
“I think I can talk to her myself,” Jungwon mumbles. Heeseung doesn’t seem bothered.
“Hey!” Jaeyun suddenly speaks up. “I don’t have practice today, you guys wanna go to the arcade after school?”
Heeseung looks ecstatic at this. “Sure! I’d love to go!” Riki also looks more cheerful.
“Yeah, can my girlfriend come?” Sunghoon asks. “Eh, why not? She’s probably better at games than you anyways.” Jaeyun snickers while Sunghoon glares.
“Well I can’t, I’ve got to paint my tree.” Sunoo sighs. “Paint your what?” Jongseong swears he heard him wrong. “My tree costume. You guys do remember I'm Tree number two in the musical, right? We’re doing Wizard of Oz.”
“Oh really? I just thought you just really liked plants all of a sudden.” Riki admits and Sunoo rolls his eyes.
“Well, I’ve got another meeting after school. So I can’t. We’re gonna discuss appropriate and inappropriate ways to wear our uniforms.” Jungwon looks distressed.
“What about you Jongseong? Wanna go?” Jaeyun looks hopeful at him.
Jongseong’s lips grow into a thin line as he winces. “Can’t. I’ve got baseball.” He lies.
The other boys (minus Jungwon) groan in unison. “Your baseball league is crazy, practice every day, including weekends?!” Jaeyun exclaims.
“We haven’t been to any of your games, you never invite us.” Sunghoon complains. “And when you do, we’re always busy or the game gets canceled.” Sunoo points out.
“I bet you it’s because he’s so bad he keeps getting benched. Doesn’t want us to watch him sit all day.” Riki chuckles. Jongseong doesn’t do anything but sigh.
“Sorry, but they’re really strict. Maybe one of these days you'll see me play.” He feigns sadness.
“Quick question, which arcade are we going to?” Heeseung asks. As the boys turn their attention back to their afternoon plans, Jongseong glances at his best friend.
Jungwon looks at him disapprovingly.
He wonders for how much longer he can keep this little lie up.
He’s chopping up some scallions when his mom bursts into the kitchen.
“Son! I thought I told you to go home and finish your homework?” She places her hands on her hips.
“I already finished my homework.” Jongseong fibs.
“Really? Or are you just lying so you can help out tonight?” She eyes him.
“Okay I didn’t.” He tells the truth. His mother does not seem happy with that. “But you and dad need help. Chef Jiyoung has already left, and Chaeyoung and Minjoon are off. I can cook while you and dad serve. Plus my homework isn’t that hard, I can do it before I go to bed.”
His mom sighs, mumbling something about how he stresses her out sometimes. Jongseong has a feeling he’s about to be lectured.
“You’re such a good kid, you know that?” She surprises him by ruffling his hair. His worries subsided.
“And you’re a good mom.” He tells her, feeling shy. “Here’s table 6’s order.” He hands her the plate of food before she can get sappy with him. As she walks out to serve the food, his mother wears the biggest smile.
Jongseong continues his shift, cooking every meal his family throws at him with ease. He always loved to cook. It first started out from just watching his parents, it fascinated him how simple ingredients could become the best meal he’s ever eaten.
When he got older, he began to help around the kitchen. Jongseong found it fun to learn the process of each dish, and enjoyed it even more when the food came out delicious.
Now he’s a master in the kitchen, whipping out dishes without as much as a glance at the recipe. His dad would even argue Jongseong was a better cook than him now.
It’s the end of the night, and Jongseong is cleaning up the kitchen when his parents come in chuckling.
“Son! You’ll never guess what happened. Your dream came true!” His dad chortles. Jongseong looks at him confused. “What do you mean?”
“Remember when you told us you’d always wanted to go out and personally thank a customer for enjoying your food like they do in the movies? Well, it’s happened! A lovely young lady wanted us to give her compliments to the chef, you!” His mother beams.
Jongseong stands there, baffled. He’d told his parents that silly dream when he was eight years old after watching Ratatouille for the first time.
“That’s cool.” He nods. “You should go out there, say thanks. She was very sweet.” His mom encourages.
“Uh, I don’t think so, that’s-“ “Oh son please! She’s the last customer of the night, there’s no one else out there. Don’t be embarrassed.” His dad pushes.
“Plus, she’s very pretty! You should be excited such a pretty girl enjoyed your cooking.” His mom acts as if that’s the biggest accomplishment he’s ever achieved.
His parents look at him eagerly, and Jongseong gives in, sighing as he unties his apron. “Fine, but I’m never doing this again.” He grumbles, much to his parents' delight.
He brushes himself off, running a hand through his hair as he steps out to the front. He spots the person sitting in the booth, their back facing him.
With a deep breath, he approaches.
“Hi, I heard you really enjoyed your meal. I wanted to thank you, I’m the chef.” He states, as he walks over, trying his best to sound joyful. “Is there anything I can do to-“
“Jongseong..? You work here?” The person interrupts.
He finally looks and Jongseong immediately realizes he’s fucked up, since the person he’s just walked up to was you, L/n Y/n, the new Student Body Treasurer.
Why is he screwed? That's because EN-High students aren’t allowed to have jobs, and you’ve caught him red-handed.
Jongseong’s life was ruined the moment he saw you.

Heyo! Gotta say I love your Au sm!!
Could we perhaps get some head cannons abt Windblade and Starscream as parents?? Theirs beans are so ughhhh I wanna squish them so bad 😔😔
Hehe ofc!!
Admittedly they do not have a standard ‘parent’ dynamic — Starscream/Stefan was terrified of the idea of being a dad and specifically chose Skybreak/Suzume because she was insistent that she didn’t want a dad, she just wanted to stop being returned to the orphanage for not conforming to what people expected of a little girl, and that was why he picked her initially!
Though he does grow into the role as her mentor/ ‘dad’ as time passes, and by the time they adopt Galestorm/Gabriele, he’s completely in (gremlin) dad mode.
Windblade is very much Boss Mom and Starscream is Italian Way of the Househusband.
On a normal day, Windblade usually helps them get ready for school while Starscream makes breakfast. Windblade sends them off, and Starscream picks them up (and sometimes takes them to have lunch with mum if she’s free in the afternoon). Starscream makes dinner for them and Windblade helps with prep/washing up. Both tag team to get these beans to bed.
Saturdays are family days, and on Sundays, Windblade and Starscream usually let Bumblebee or Chromia babysit while they go on date nights.
Starscream is the one who’s pedantic about the children’s meals like he’s serving at a Michelin star restaurant with a nutritionist on the payroll, though he can be cajoled into fast food as a treat for special occasions or after sports day. Windblade’s turn to cook dinner usually entails the greasiest comfort food gyoza, hamburg steak and karage (don’t ask her how much msg goes into them).
Due to Windblade’s schedule, Starscream is usually the more ‘physically present’ parent, and the one who usually makes it to all the PTA meetings, bake sales and recitals. Starscream Facetimes or records all of them for Windblade so she can be a part of it on her work break or catch up when she’s home!
Windblade still makes it to big events and their annual classroom reviews though! At which point she’ll hear extensively about all the shenanigans Starscream and Skybreak have been up to while she’s busy being First Delegate (not Galestorm, Galestorm is mommy’s sweet baby boy).
Though only because Galestorm is smart about utilising his cuteness! Skybreak often corrals him to ‘distract’ mother while she’s plotting stuff around the house.
Skybreak respects Windblade as the baddest of baddies and knows she can’t get away with a lot of nonsense with Madame First Delegate. Which is why she hangs around ‘dad’ more often. He’s her level of gremlin and… easier for her to push around.
Windblade caught Starscream framing up Skybreak’s detention slips for picking fights with bullies in his office, and moved them to the living room instead so they can both fistbump to them.
Windblade gets Skybreak her first sword and gets her into martial arts. Starscream gets Skybreak journals and glittery stickers for her plans for revenge against those who wronged her and school domination. Mother has given you the weapon to carry out your deeds, but you still have to stay organized when plotting against your enemies and sorting out your allies!
Skybreak is Starscream’s Underboss for their Girl Scout Cookies team, which Starscream runs like a mini mafia. The Girl Scouts in their division love this and look forward to their little mafia meetings with The Godfather theme playing in the background while they dig into freshly-made cannolis and discuss their weekly reports on the ‘hold-outs’ in their neighborhood as well as sales figures with Starscream at the head of the table.
Skybreak has Oppositional Defiant Disorder which she’s working through, and she really doesn’t do well with being told “No” or “Because I said so”. Windblade and Starscream’s tactic to manage their ambitious little Type A Azula is usually through praise and to “Sure, but…” her, focusing on the consequences ie. “Sure you could stay up till 12 on a school day, but if you wake up late, you’re going to miss P.E and your chance to crush your enemy for the fifth time in a row in dodgeball… or worse, you could be too tired, and they might win. You have to be prepared to face the enemy and support your allies, and adequate rest is important isn’t it?” or “Sure you don’t have to do your homework, but won’t it set back your plans for class domination if you get a C in geography? And geography is really important for your future plans to become president, isn’t it?”. And let her deal with the fallout within reason. She’s EXTREMELY independent which is a double-edged sword for them, one they’re learning to handle with care.
Galestorm is more of a diplomat politician like his mum, and is usually the one who tries to talk himself out of a situation as opposed to his scheming sister. Which means Windblade and Starscream often have to block out their schedule to sit down for his ‘family senate meetings’ that come with drinks, PowerPoint presentations and printed handouts with graphs and charts to debate for things like a bigger allowance for his chores or why he should be allowed to go to a concert with his friends with no chaperone.
Galestorm loves affection and is quite clingy with Windblade and Starscream since he was raised by them from the time he was two. Skybreak is not… for most part. Like Starscream, she doesn’t have a solid track record with ‘good touch’ even at seven, so it takes a while for her to be alright with a hug. It’s something Windblade and Starscream have to ask her about ie. if she’s okay with a hug, if she wants to be held for a bit (she’s been known to shove or hit people who do so without prior consent or warning, usually out of shock/instinct). When she actually holds hands with her parents while outdoors is actually a huge milestone, and she’s come to accept hugs and being held now, though one still has to ask (she hates her space being invaded with no warning). She doesn’t hug Galestorm, but she does give him pats and hold his hand to lead him around when it’s just the two of them and she’s got to be Responsible Older Sister.

Everyone in my family just knew I would want to be a mother. Growing up I was the go-to person for everyone's babysitting needs. I was being trained to be a "good mother " when I was was 10 years old like many girls of African mothers are. By the time I was 12, I knew how to burp a baby, cook a meal, do laundry, clean house, and babysit a few children at one time. Thankfully, sports begin to take up much of my time and showed me other options for my life force beyond childcare and preparing for motherhood. But I'm also grateful for everything my Nigerian/Ibgo mum taught me because I know her wisdom and nurturance helped me to be a more loving woman to myself (my cells) . And I'm also grateful that I know a little something about mothering from culture and spending time as a caregiver/nanny where the Nigerian mother of the Ghanaian-Nigerian-American child worked in another country and I was her live-in support and the child's legal guardian. I took this position after going through a rough break up and deciding I never wanted to work with other adults indoors under florescent lights ever again after spending 4 years in leadership at a food co-op. I think a lot about mothers and even though I am unashamedly grateful I don't have children, my own work and lifestyle are very mother-centric, currently filled with early bed times, slow mornings, warm sun, a little exercise, lots of dancing and walking, ongoing pleasure, and working on projects in-between. Below are some charms I believe can be of service to mothers, especially new moms: Mothers must create lives that are more mother-centered and work in ways that support the physiological needs of the mother and child, like having the opportunity to have more skin-to-skin contact with little infants or creating village/ mothering communities where one or two moms will caretake all the children and give the other moms a break/breath/space for a day or two. Mothers have to stop putting themselves last and normalizing overfunctioning in life with very little nourishment and nutrition. Mothers have to stop believing that their only means of work are jobs and businesses that extract from their life force and provide very little life back in return. Mothers must become more humble and be willing to let go of control and ask for help in places that they don't think they can afford or deserve to be supported in, especially domestically. Cleaning support. Cooking and meal prep support. Laundry support. If mothers have businesses, tech support. Emotional support. Pelvic floor care. Etc. Mothers can get together and organize community cooking where one person prepares a healthy homemade meal for the entire group on a day-to-day rotation schedule. That's one reason why living outside the Western system can be so valuable because these kind of opportunities are more affordable, expected, or readily available, and less shocking exceptions. Sometimes just re-imagining a new reality, one full of generous help, care, and support can be the hardest thing to do, but mothers must be willing do it, despite what their present-day environment presents. And lastly, mothers have to stop martyring themselves for the family and create more space in their lives for their health and spine-arching pleasure. Mothers, more than anything, need to receive and emote from the depths of their wellsprings. They need to cry deeply, especially during intimacy and some really incredible breasts-bouncing, booty- jiggling sex which deeply relaxes the female body, including loving booty smacks and booty massaging, neck play, kissing, deep penetration, and cervical orgasms. In contrast to many fathers, most mothers do pretty much everything in the family and are deeply exhausted and burned out in their tissues because of it. But I have observed with my own eyes how mothers who were born into a different programming from Western society or are simply willing to take their hands off the wheel or let go and be more supported and helped by life live entirely different realities. -India Ame'ye, Author

The store wasn’t too far of a walk, but a walk it had to be seeing as you had yet to locate Megumi’s car seat--if he had one. You had stopped by your car, grabbed out the light pink baby wrap carrier you had thankfully kept after Tsumiki had grown out of it, strapped Megumi to your chest, and went about doing your shopping.
You had bought Tsumiki a tamago sando to munch as you shopped to keep her from exploding from hunger. You bought all essential cleaning supplies, things you would need to make quick meals, and a wagon so that you wouldn’t have to lung all the groceries back.
It took you about an hour to get all your shopping done, Tsumiki now passed out in the wagon as you pulled it back towards the filthy townhome. Megumi had also fallen asleep, his usually grumpy face all soft and peaceful. You did a quick stop back at your car to load as much as you could into the wagon without crushing your daughter before finally making it back.
You went about bringing everything into the home, putting it by the door so that it wouldn’t be in the way of your cleaning.
Toji was nowhere in sight and definitely not in the shower as you had asked him. It pissed you off but gave you room to set up a little play area for Megumi and Tsumiki in the living room without worrying about the man.
You set rules with your daughter about playing with the baby before starting on cleaning.
It was bad.
So much worse than you had originally thought.
You wanted to vomit at all the sights and smells that were bombarding your senses, but you pressed on after opening all the windows in the downstairs area.
You took a pause to feed Megumi and gave Tsumiki a snack before going back at it.
You tackled the fridge next only to find it was as bad as you had imagined and the freezer did in fact hold pouches of breastmilk, expiration dates marked in black Sharpie. Marked in handwriting you recognized instantly to be your cousins.
You debated for a long time whether you would keep it. It would be good for Megumi…the best for him but--but the idea of you going about the process of prepping it made a painfully hollow feeling fill your chest.
It was thrown into one of the large trash bags to be forgotten about.
It took you an hour--almost two to clean the whole kitchen. There were still dishes that needed to get run through the dishwasher, but other than that everything sparkled. You went about putting away all the groceries you had bought before putting Megumi and Tsumiki down for a nap.
As you came back down the stairs, you found Toji trudging through the door. He looked--
“Are you--tell me you aren’t drunk.” You came to a stop at the bottom of the stairs to watch him wander over, Toji rubbing his face as if he was exhausted.
“I’m not.” He sounded annoyed, like your concern wasn’t valid. You watched in disbelief as he pulled his hands from his flushed face and smirked down at you as he came to a pause before you.
God, why was he so tall? It only made you more mad.
“Maybe I am.” You huffed, crossing your arms tightly over your chest. “Hey,” He elongated the word as he pulled closer to you. You felt your ankles hit the bottom step when you tried to back up, remembering what had happened the last time he was drunk and this close. “You said you wouldn’t get me beer. I had to take matters into my own hands.” He gave a huff of his own, leaning down so that he could look directly into your eyes.
You felt your heart begin to beat rapidly in your chest, your grip around yourself growing near bruising.
“I didn’t because of this.” Your words came out weaker than you should have allowed. “What if I had gotten beer? Hum?” Toji’s hazy eyes gleaned in humor.
“Well then, I would be inclined to do a trick for you. I am a good boy after all.” His voice grew deeper, nearly shaking through your rib cage. Those damn eyes of his scanned you over like he was picking out the best place to grab hold of you. And his smell--it was too strange, too dark, too wild. It almost possessed your body with its allure.
“Stop.” You snapped, your arms tightening further. You wanted to curl in on yourself, but you kept tall.
Green eyes fluttered back up to your own eyes, that damn smirk still on his lips. He found this funny. He found all this so funny and it made you want to slap him to get rid of that damn smirk.
“Will you take a shower?”
“Will I get lunch?” You gave him a simple nod. He nodded back, moving past you as he shuffled up the stairs to disappear into the bathroom just at the top of them. As you watched him go, your hand ran up your arm and collarbone to find rest over your mouth to muffle the shaky breath you had been keeping back.
What the fuck were you going to do about him?
He couldn’t keep coming back slobby drunk.
He couldn’t keep--his eyes. They needed to keep off you. He needed to stay away from you.
You tried to shove all thoughts of the man out of your mind as you went about making everyone lunch. You had decided to make the sandwich the lady who you had once lived across the hall from taught you to make. They were tasty and dirt cheap. A win, win in your books. They soon become you and Tsumiki’s favorite meal.
You wondered if Toji would enjoy them…but then you assumed he probably liked anything he could get his hands on.
You wrapped a sandwich up for Tsumiki to eat when she woke up, placing it in the freshly cleaned fridge before making you and Toji’s food. You had just finished plating the sandwich and orange slices when you heard the bathroom door open and a half-naked Toji climbed down the stairs.
“Shit--that smells good.” He mumbled, making his into the kitchen to peek at the food.
“It’s just--it’s just chicken and some--” You tried to explain what was within the sandwich but you couldn’t keep focused. Not when his smokey scent was so close again, now dampened by whatever soap he had used. He smelled fresh and like--cinnamon?
You’re eyes wandered and your focus was as good as lost.
Toji was muscle. Just pure muscle.
And good muscle too. Muscle you could tell he had worked on and the muscle he used. It wasn’t fake muscle like those bodybuilders you would see in magazines. His skin looked soft and smooth and was only interrupted here and there by faint scars.
Scars.
Why did he have so many scars?
Your eyes found a small scar on his abdomen and your eyes left said scar to find his prominent Apollos belt--hard lines that disappeared beneath the white towel he had wrapped around his waist. Hard lined that made your face feel like you had shoved it into a pot of boiling water.
Maybe--just maybe you might see why your cousin would have been interested in a guy like him.
Maybe.
Toji reached for one of the plates growing even closer to you. His closeness made you feel even hotter, but you snapped out of your damning daze and pulled the plate out of his reach before he could take it.
Sharp, green eyes snapped down onto you not at all pleased.
“I was a good dog wasn’t I?” A deep frown pulled on his lips which usually stayed all too smug. “I took a shower like you asked. You promised lunch as my reward.”
“You need to change.” His eyes only narrowed further.
“Why?”
“Why?” You repeated with a huffing laugh. “Because it’s unhygienic to walk around buck-ass naked.” Toji rolled his eyes oh so dramatically like it was truly such a hassle to change.
“I’m wearing a towel.”
“No. Get changed. Into something clean.” You pulled the plate further away when he tried for it again. “Do you have clean clothes?” Toji shoved a thumb towards the living room turned makeshift bedroom. You noticed the pile of clothes on the other armchair closest to the tv and huffed. “There is no way those are all clean.”
“I’ll change.” He didn’t seem to understand he was still very much in your personal bubble and still very much making you burn alive. “If you give me some of those.” He redirected his hand to point toward the top of the fridge. You looked to find him pointing to the box of kinoko no yama’s you had hidden up there to keep out of sight from Tsumiki.
“I bought those for myself.” Toji shrugged, that goodman smirk pulling at the corner of his lips again.
“I’ll change if you give me some with my lunch.” His eyes shined with mischief as he leaned in even closer. “Otherwise I’m a-okay to stay like this. It’s freeing, ya know?” Your lips pressed together thinly as you tried not to let your eyes slip from his own. To try and forget he was naked and little droplets of water still clung to his pale skin.
“Fine .” Toji chuckled, pulling away from you finally.
“A pleasure doing business with you.” Toji winked before heading for his pile of clothes. You huffed, all but storming over to grab the box of snacks you had been looking forward to. “Make it a good handful, yeah.”
“You’ll get what you get.” You grumbled as you opened the box.
“Damn, you’re a hardballer huh?”
“Just get changed.” The box made a muffled bang when you all but slammed it down on the countertop. Toji only continued to smirk at your frustration as he passed you once more.
“These clean enough for ya?” He outstretched his hand to show you the clump of clothes he held. “Don’t think I’ve worn these yet.” He mused, scratching the side of his head like he was truly trying to think about it.
“I’m sure it's fine.” Toji didn’t seem satisfied with this answer cause he came all too close again. All too close and you could smell his spiced, smoky scent again. A scent that made your frustration deepen in a warming way.
“Ah, come on. Give ‘em a little whiff.” Toji wiggled them before your face. “What if they smell like shit 'cause I’ve been livin’ in a…what did you call it? Yeah, a landfill? Wouldn’t want to smell that bad.”
“I’m not going to smell the clothes you’ve been keeping in a goddamn pile.” You bit, swatting his hand away from you.
Your breath hitched involuntarily at the feel of his skin against yours.
Warm.
And solid.
Like stone.
Stone that had been left out to bake in the sun only to be wrapped in pale, silky sheets to horde that warmth.
Soft stone you wanted to hold against your cheek and--
“Get changed.” You grit through the fluttering drop of your stomach. Toji only chuckled, finally backing off.
“Yes ma’am.” And off he went into the downstairs bathroom. Once you heard the door shut with a soft click you gave a groan that sounded more like a growl as you roughly scrubbed your hands over your face.
Fuck, fuck, fuck.
What the fuck did he think he was doing? Making you--you--
What was he doing? Giving you a damn headache that was for sure.
…did he know what he was doing? Was he doing it on purpose? Was he trying to stress you out so much it killed you?
Probably.
The door opened again before you could try to work through your thoughts. Out walked Toji fully clothed this time, though you noticed that his shaggy hair was still a bit too wet like he hadn’t bothered to fully dry off. You let it go because you could only handle so much from the man.
“Is this up to your standards?” You glanced over the outfit he was wearing; a gray crewneck and matching sweatpants. He was barefoot but you assumed he’d be wearing those ratty slides in a bit. “Can I eat now?”
You said nothing as you slid his plate along the counter towards him. His green eyes sparkled in excitement as he all but hunched over and began wolfing down the sandwich like it was his last meal. You couldn’t help the small wrinkle of your nose at the sight, picking up a slice of orange and popping it into your mouth.
“Can we talk like adults for a second?” You asked after a few moments of silence as you two ate. Toji glances your way, cheeks full of sandwich.
“Depends on what ya want to talk about.” He spoke around the food in his mouth, only making your wrinkled nose crease further.
“I want to talk about our situation here.” Fire flashed in those green eyes of his.
“No.” You didn’t even give him the stratification of a sigh because you were determined to at least talk over a few things. So, you simply grabbed the box of kinoko no yama and fished out a small handful. You leaned forward and added them to the slowly disappearing pile already on his plate.
“It’ll be quick. Just a few things and then we can be done.” Toji eyed you, then the added kinoko no yama, then to the box in your hands. He jutted his head towards the box, demanding more. You gave him more without complaint. “Do you have a job?” You watched Toji swallow the mouthful of the sandwich.
“Did.” And then he was chowing down on another bite of sandwich.
“Okay…you did. Were you fired?” He shook his head. “You quit?” A nod. “So you could take care of--” He leveled you with a glare so hard and bloody it made your body lock up. Made your heart race and your mind scream at you to run, run, run . “Okay…okay. That’s fine.” You spoke carefully--calm and softly.
He was hurting.
Even though he was an asshole, he still lost someone who you knew he cared for deeply. So deeply it was turning him into a complete and utter mess with her gone.
“I’m assuming you rent this townhome. Meaning rent is going to be due.” You continued, picking at the cardboard of the box of snacks in your hands. “I only have so much saved away. I’ve already started looking around for jobs and I think you need to find one too.” Toji’s eyes flickered over your features as he chewed his latest bite, taking you carefully in as you spoke.
“I can help you if you need it, but you need a job. We have two small children to feed and clothe and house. It was a struggle to do that for Tsumiki all by myself and adding another one on--” You shook your head, feeling your fingertips begin to grow cold and vision narrow the slightest bit at the thought of it all.
“I can’t do that all by myself. If you could pay for rent and utilities, I would pay for food and the kids. I feel that is more than fair.” You kept that soft and calm tone praying he would agree without complaint. Praying your cousin was right. Praying that he was a good man deep, deep down.
“If I say no?”
Of course.
Of course .
“I don’t think no is really an option. The kids cost a lot. Food, clothes, school, daycare, doctor visits . Keep in mind I am paying for your child, not just mine.” You could feel your sensitive tone slipping away the longer you spoke. Slipping away with no chance of gaining it back. “I don’t care where you work as long as you are paying your part off.”
“You might regret that.” Toji simply said. Simply said and took another bite of the sandwich, finishing it off. “The where I mean.”
You didn’t quite understand what he meant by that but he wasn’t saying no to finding a job and that is all you cared about.
“I know I won’t as long as we have a roof over our heads, running water, and lights,” Toji’s eyes shifted. Shifted to that dark look you had seen only a few times since meeting him. A look that reminded you of a predator. A look that made you want to run upstairs, grab your kids, and leave.
“Whatever you say, boss.” Toji shrugged, shoving a few of the mushroom-looking snacks into his mouth.
You let the air grow silent once more as you tried to keep yourself grounded. Tried to keep back the fearful burning building in your eyes.
You were scared of him.
Whatever the hell he was alluding to scared the shit out of you.
Dangerous. He was dangerous…
“Maybe he is in a gang. Maybe he made her join.” You’re aunt’s words echoed through your mind. Thoughts she had spoken huddled around in the kitchen with the other female members of your family as they worked on crafting dinner for everyone. Words you had scoffed at but--
Maybe he was in a gang. Maybe he seemed dangerous because he really was. It would explain the scars. The dark look in his eyes.
Maybe…maybe he had killed people before.
Maybe you were forcing him back into such bloody work and that's why you would regret it.
Whatever the reason, you were terrified.
“...you going to let me cut your hair?” You suddenly asked.
Brush your feelings aside. It’s what you always had done in the face of danger--of evil.
Ignore it.
Cover your eyes and ears and ignore it.
Toji rose a brow at you as he popped more of the sweet snacks into his mouth. You turned from him as you grabbed your sandwich. “You might act like a dog, but you don’t need to actually look the part.” You took a bite from your food as Toji laughed. A rich thing that helped you further forget the danger until it bore its fangs at you again.
“I’ll only do so many tricks in one day, warden.” His newest nickname for you made you roll your eyes as you swallowed. “Get me some beer and you can cut it tomorrow. Gotta look my best for work, right?” His words surprised you. You didn’t think he would have actually agreed but…
“Fine. Deal.” Again that richly deep laugh poured from his scarred lips once more.
“Always a pleasure doing business with ya.”

congrats on 100 maggie that’s amazing!! 🎉🫶🏻
could I request carmy with a single!mom reader and they’re still kinda fresh in their relationship and with both of their busy schedules it’s hard to have any alone time and whenever they’re trying to have privacy for adult fun time it keeps being interrupted by reader’s little one bc reader’s daughter loves carmy and they’re both going crazy but also love becoming a new lil family. I just keep thinking about how carmy would be with a little kid and how he’d take over the role of a stepdad-dad 😩
Thank you! :)
I would like to say that I love kids and I worked in childcare for years. However, I'm not much into kid fics - rarely read them and never wrote one! Your prompt got me thinking so I'm sharing my head canons about stepdad!Carmy (explicit stuff behind the cut!)
You're so scared to tell Carmy you're a mom because you've started having real feelings; it's not just fooling around anymore. When you finally share that you've got a little girl, you're sick to your stomach with nerves, worried about the possibility of being rejected or ridiculed. But Carmy surprises you—pleasantly—by not freaking out at all. He nods and asks a couple of basic questions: "How old is she? Who's looking after her when you two are together? What's her favorite Disney movie?"
Carmy does freak out—once he's at home. He barely sleeps that night, thinking of all the ways the "wrong" in him or with him could rub off on the little girl once they meet. Because he's a messed-up grown-up who has no clue how to behave.
You can't keep putting off Carmen meeting your daughter after four months of dating. You can't, and you don't want to. It takes a bit of effort before Carmen opens up about his difficult childhood and messed-up family. You assure him that it's not going to affect your daughter and promise him that you absolutely believe he's a good person.
Your little one is almost four, and she's independent, sassy, and loving, so she probably understands Carmy's hesitation and worries better than you do—without Carmen ever needing to say a word. She knows he's a chef—a cook—so she takes his hand and shows him her own wooden kids' kitchen. Carmy's eyes are huge and glassy when he looks up at you, and you hold back your own tears.
The first time you witness Carmy and your daughter cooking together (not in the kids' kitchen), your heart almost stops. You know how sacred the kitchen—any kitchen—is for him, as well as the whole process of meal prepping. They're just baking cookies, from what you can see over Carmy's broad back, flour everywhere, and he uses the softest voice on her: "You make a ball from the dough, that's right. Well done, chef," and "You got it, darling," and "Good job, good girl," followed by a high-five, your daughter giggling, clearly proud of herself.
That night, you ask Carmy to stay - the first time while your daugher is at home too - and he agrees, with a soft smile and a chaste kiss to your temple. You're a bit apprehensive about having sex, anxious about your little one overhearing something or waking up in the middle of it, but at the end it's you who asks Carmen for it. You beg him with your eyes, your hands and mouth, and who's he to say 'no'? The day had been emotional and the remaints of it hang between you as he fucks you on your back, staring into your soul, reaching there with his cock too. You're kinda trying to hurry up, Carmy thrusting into you with sharp movements that make you gasp out puffs of air between the two of you. He leans in to whisper into your ear "You're taking it so well, you would take my load so well, would you want another baby, hm?" His words surprise you and make you so hot that you come with a startle the next second.
Fuck, Carmy Berzzato wants a kid with you?
