Lending a Helping Hand (Tickletober Day 1)
Kanene's Notes: I wrote this on a whim, not gonna lie jhgtfdefghjdfgh. For some reason I suddenly felt compelled to participate of this lovely even so here I am! I am following both @/august-anon tickletober list and @/Jamiedraws mxtxtober list because I wanted to see what would come out of mixing those two together juygtfghjdcfgh I think most of my stories will be about mdzs so it seemed fitting :D Anyways, Day 1 - "Ghost" and "Antecipation".
Warnings: This is an AU. Ticklish!Jingyi and Ler!Wei Wuxian. Around 1.500 words.
[~*~]
The Patriarch Yiling was a devious monster, an empty shell of what had been once considered a man but now was known for atrocities beyond human comprehension. The sects still shivered at his name, parents used his story to make their children behave and other demonic cultivators dreamed of following his path, in archiving and surpassing the amount of power he once had. Every book that talked about The War talked of him.
(But Hanguang Jun didn’t. He cut down every gossiping and always reminded them to have a critical mind when it came about the stories of one being told by another.)
But (almost) everyone could agree, he was a monster, and it was naive, crazy, even to believe you could win against him.
Jingyi was about to discover how crazy it was.
"Senior Wei!" He squirmed and ordered his hands to move, voice already trembling around the corners and getting a squeaky turn. It was all for nothing, just like before his own arms no longer answered him. Hysterical snickers began falling from his lips. "Stohohop! Why me?!"
"Well, you offered!" the ghost smiled and moved his hands towards him and with a scared kind of curiosity he watched as his own hands mirrored his move, wiggling fingers perfectly mirroring the older one in every mischievous twitch, getting closer until it was barely touching his clothes, still. The clear promise of a tickle attack made shivers run like electricity through his nerves. "Aiya, Jingyi! So young and your memory is betraying you already? Don’t you remember how you came to me so excited this morning, saying you wanted to help experimenting with my new ideas?"
Jingyi half groaned and half giggled. In his defense, it was very hard to try to remember something when a single finger decided to poke his ribs and make him dance from a side to another like he was performing the silliest of the dances. "Senior Wei!"
"Almost! Now repeat that but with less I-am-about-to-get-destroyed-by-ghost-tickles feeling. Don’t worry, I’ll help you remember.” Then, the ghost started doing a high pitched voice that sounded nothing like him. Jingyi would be bristling in protest if the (his?) hands found the horribly ticklish spot right next to his stomach and was trying to pinch it senseless. “'Senior Wei, Senior Wei! My classes have been canceled, can you believe? I can stay here with you the entire day!'"
“This is not…” hs snorted and started to squirm even more, feeling himself slip more and more into titters. “Behehihing tickled to death was nohohot what I-I meheheant!"
Wei Wuxian chuckled mischievously, very much proud to realize that not even death took away his amazing tickling and teasing skills. He spent years honing it to perfect, afterall. “You should’ve been more clear, then. Or are you going back on your word, now? Tsk Tsk, and here I thought that the Lans prided themselves in their honor and fairness. Leaving a poor ghost here all alone, denying him his last wishes of experimenting and being happy before we part our ways. Refusing to even help me for a single day… Sniff. Where has the compassion gone in this new generation?"
Jingyi stomped his feet on the floor, protesting. The effect of it was dimmed by the giant smile going from ear to ear in his face. The hands now decided to “walk” with two fingers up and down his ribs, making his nerves dance with the anticipation and light tickling
"Y-you’re not going awahahay. And I can’t spend the entire day like this, stohohohop tickling me!"
“Tickling? I would never!” Wei Wuxian gasped and pulled his hands a few inches away from his skin, wiggling them in front of his face and giving the whole “ghost tickles” a new meaning as Jingyi squeaked and kept giggling uncontrollably, almost feeling this wiggling touch back on his torso. “See? I am not even touching you and you are still laughing, that has nothing to do with me.”
“I am nehehever-” his face was starting to get hot, looking at the playful way Senior Wei looked at him with a merciless grin definitely didn’t help. The more the older one kept poking, playing, teasing him, the more he felt that he would crumble in the very moment the actual tickling started. “nehehever helping yohohour experiments agahain.”
"Aw, but you must, Jingyi! Aren't you excited to know what will happen? Who will win, your natural defenses or my attack? Shizui, Don't you think it's an important research to know if ghosts can make you tickle yourselves?"
"It's not!" Jingyi's protesting words disappeared in a shriek when his hands pretended to lunge to his body, clawing, only to stop to hover above his belly. More uncontrollable, protesting giggles fell like a waterfall from his mouth. "Thahahat's stupid. Shihihihihizui, tell him!"
Shizui, like the good, righteous kid he was, pretended he heard nothing of their banter and kept feeding the rabbits hopping around him. When Wei Wuxian turned away snickering and twirling around Jingyi teasingly, he sent his friend an apologetic smile.
Wei Wuxian continued with plenty of mirth and dramatics. Delighted as always to be free to exercise his pranking rights. "Is that how you talk with your seniors? Lan Jingyi, what would Hanguang-Jun say?"
"He wohohohould protect me!"
"Would he, now? So where's your Hanguang-Jun, huh? To take you out of the evil Patriarch Yilling’s claws."
“Nohohot evil. Stohohop it.”
Wei Wuxian’s grin softened, for a moment. Then he lightened up once more. “Maybe I could even tickle him when he appears! It would take me much more energy but can you imagine? Is Hanguang Jun even ticklish? Have you ever seen he gig-" The ghost stopped as if he had been his, going from looking thoughtful for a moment then startled and embarrassed. If Jingyi didn't know him better, he could say a flash of hunger appeared in his eyes. Probably he was already going crazy because of the antecipation, though.
"Anyway!" He clapped his hands and Jigyi's own followed his moves. He tried once more squirm free from it, but it was impossible to concentrate his qi enough to push away the... possession? Control? Whatever this was before Wei Wuxian got a hold of it once again.
A loud squeal flew from his mouth when a finger poked too close his bellybutton, and he immediately descended in stronger giggling.
The smirk that opened in Wei Wuxian face was positively evil.
"I think we found a good spot." He sing-songed, the finger started circling his bellybutton, lightly scribbling the trembling skin around it, pulling guffaws that stopped him from pulling his belly away from the ticklish touch. Everytime it tried to twitch away, the finger would poke and poke and poke the button until he was too distracted to protest. “Sehehehenior Wei, wait!”
For a blissful second, he did.
Somewhere near, someone was letting out the most high pitched, half disparate and half joyful laughter. Jingyi felt his entire body want to run away, to squirm and trash and laugh with all the energy he was holding still. Only when he opened one eye to look at the floating ghost in front of him and his childhood friend smiling softly in the background did he realize he was the one responsible for these sounds.
A silly snort intertwined in his laughter.
Wei Wuxian tapped a finger on his lips, pensative.
“Should I? Should I wait a bit more?” The finger scraped the tiniest bit on the walls of his bellybutton and Jingyi jumped on the same place, nodding and giggling and snorting and making himself stand still so the tickling wouldn’t be worse. “Hmmm, let me think about it…”
The finger kept light touches, soft tickles grazing the horribly ticklish skin. Jingyi shook his head at it.
Until it finally stopped.
A breath of air, his snickers were still filling the air.
Wei Wuxian tsked. “No. I don’t think I will.”
And then attacked.
(Shrieking, mirthful laughter danced in the air.)
[~*~]
Something something wat if Lan Wangji palyed Inquiry and Wei Wuxian answered something something what if he became closer to Shizui and Jingyi and watched and helped them as they grew up something something what if those 13 years of waiting were filled with his laughter and love something something.

Even with the abbreviations, somehow no one's first thought would be to call RDJ, GRRM, JDM, JFK, and so on "an alphabet smash" 🙄
EXACTLY EXACTLY EXAAAACTLY THIS.
If I post a sentence like, idk, mcu/spn rdj/jdm rpf a/b/o hs au, people would say I'm terminally online and only a geek/fandom weirdo/dork/whatever would understand it. Sure, whatever, I resemble those remarks. But they wouldn't call it a keysmash. It obviously means something to someone, and the same is just as obviously true of, idk, sl/xxc/lwj/wwx cql fic.
I'm so tired of seeing this shit. Just say "I found this confusing at first cause learning new names in a new fandom is hard"! If you say it's BECAUSE it was Chinese, that "normal" people around you wouldn't understand, etc., that's the microaggression. That's the line not to cross. It's okay to be confused. Fuck, I mean, I'm kinda faceblind and the early episodes of The Untamed were confusing as hell and I had trouble telling the characters apart. They had similar hair and similar costumes! Being confused is reasonable. But I think we'd all agree that if I just said "I can't tell all these Chinese people apart" and suggested I dont have the exact same problems when I watch, say, High School the Musical (I did have the exact same problem when I watched that. I STILL can't tell the characters in Mean Girls apart) - anyway, if it's "all these Chinese people look the same" that would be racist as fuck. And yet people who would never say that because they know that's racist without apparently getting why...*regularly* say the most racist shit about Chinese names, about the way Chinese sounds when they watch, etc. It's not "teehee funny" to describe the way people talk in these shows as sounding like (insert basically anything here other than "it sounds like words in Chinese"). I see shit like this. Every. Single. Day. I've seen people laughing write things like "when I see the name Jiang Cheng I just think of Cheech and Chong." No self-awareness at all how fucking disgusting that is to say, much less to trumpet in a major tag for a popular fandom. Its especially bad in the MDZS tag.
STOP IT PEOPLE.
You get me anon.

me, every time I read a fic I like: YES! but now I want a xisang version
Which is to say, I loved this wangsang fic and I wrote a xisang thingy orz
The pathetic part is that Nie Huaisang can’t even lie to himself about not knowing any better, not when this is already the third time something like this happens. In fact, it had become something of a joke at his old school, that the only reason anyone would ever ask him out was as a way to get closer to his brother.
One of many things Nie Huaisang was glad to leave behind when they moved and had to change schools, but apparently it’s just his fate to always be second best. Which he could accept, does accept really, at least most of the time, because Nie Mingjue is just that cool, but sometimes it’s also so damn annoying, because…
Because it’s not just anyone who asked to talk to him during the morning recess, and led him to the mostly empty corridor next to the science classrooms: it’s Lan Xichen, who is possibly the most handsome person Nie Huaisang has ever seen outside of a magazine, and the smartest one as well, with grades so consistently high that he beats Nie Mingjue half the time… and Lan Xichen is also Nie Mingjue’s new best friend since they joined this school, always hanging out with him, which means Nie Huaisang is not infrequently subjected to his radiant perfection.
But that’s the thing. Lan Xichen is friends with Nie Mingjue. They’re already together all the time. So Nie Huaisang just doesn’t understand why Lan Xichen is suddenly asking him out, when he’s got very little to gain from it, unlike Nie Huaisang’s previous dates.
“For real?” Nie Huaisang asks, because this has to be an elaborate joke. Every time this has happened before, it was a joke.
“For real,” Lan Xichen confirms, his face bright red, which is a little cute. “Although, maybe… maybe let’s not tell too many people, not at first? It’s just… my uncle is very traditional so I’m not sure how he’d react if he found out that I’m…”
“Gay?”
Lan Xichen startles at the word but nods, blushing even deeper. Cute.
But it’s also starting to make sense at last. If this is to be a secret relationship… it makes sense. Lan Xichen must be worried that declaring his flame might ruin his friendship with Nie Mingjue, whose preferences even Nie Huaisang doesn’t know for sure. Meanwhile, Nie Huaisang is right there, who from the right angle kind of vaguely resembles his brother if the light is good, and who doesn’t really make a secret of the fact that he likes boys as well as girls.
Lan Xichen must think this is the closest he’ll get to dating Nie Mingjue.
Nie Huaisang, for his part, thinks this is the closest he’ll get to dating anyone at all.
Well, he figures, it could be worse. At least Lan Xichen is handsome, and nice, and maybe he’ll even agree to kissing, if they can find a good place where to hide.
It could be worse.
“Sure,” Nie Huaisang says. “I’ll be your boyfriend.”
And when Lan Xichen smiles at that answer, Nie Huaisang could almost tell himself this is for real.

could someone call a referee
summary: the one where the juniors go to prom fandom: MDZS/CQL pairing: jingling characters: lan jingyi, jin ling, lan sizhui, ouyang zizhen
Things get hectic in February. Sizhui is up to his eyeballs in student council paperwork, trying to pick a venue for prom in April. And a caterer. And a theme. And apparently there are at least three different balloon companies engaged in an almost violent competition to make the best and sparkliest balloon arch possible.
Long story short, Jingyi is extremely thankful that he didn't succumb to Lan Qiren's dramatic sighs his freshman year to join his cousin in that particular club. Calligraphy club and soccer are enough, thanks.
Sizhui groans and slumps down to press his forehead against the smooth vinyl of the cafeteria tables. Jingyi gives him a commiserating pat on the back.

Drabbles
Links to my drabbles and thoughts
Tumblr media
Lan Wangji Drabble
CW // MCD (but it's not the end if you catch my drift)
Could you imagine if Lan Wangji had died after he got whipped?
Transmasc WWX Canon Era Thoughts
CW // mentions of transphobia and body dysmorphia
wwx knew he was a boy when he was around 4 years old
WangXian Unconditional Love
Months ago, I saw someone say that lwj's love for wwx isn't unconditional. This comment has lingered in my mind ever since and I need to say, I disagree. I truly believe that his love is an unconditional one and here's why:Keep reading
Small Transji Drabble
CW // NSFW
Wen Ning and D&D
I can't stop thinking about this, so I'm gonna share the little blurb here.
So Wen Ning is really into D&D, he loves learning as much as he can about it, but he's never gotten to play aside from quick little reluctant games with his sister and maybe a cousin or two sometimes.
WangXian + Horror Movies
Wwx loves horror (or, at least the idea of it) but is actually terrified of watching horror movies/shows and needs to watch them with someone. So he chooses his best friend (love of his life) lwj to be his emotional support person.
Lan Wangji's Distance
What if lwj is cold and distant because of losing his mom? What if that broke him just enough to not want to let anyone close. It's too hard to love someone so much, to have so many memories and good times, and then suddenly not have that anymore. So he keeps a distance.
WangXian's Closeness
I love love love how well wangxian fit together. They work so well and compliment each other so perfectly. And while I absolutely adore how confident and certain they both become after getting together, I've been thinking about the section of time from resurrection to confession.
WangXian's Jaboody Dub Get Together
Modern au pre wangxian where WY watches jaboody dubs and randomly quotes them sometimes.
Drunkji Shenanigans
CW // mentions of past alcohol consumption, drunk characters
Just had the mental image of drunk Lan Zhan getting extremely concerned when Wei Ying says "lmao" or that he "laughed his ass off" hdodbdk he'd get a little pouty, say "NO." and check him (read: his ass) over to make sure it is still there. For added protection he duct tapes him.
WangXian Minimization
I have a tendency to make myself smaller, to take up less space in people's lives physically, emotionally, mentally, etc. I have noticed this in WangXian too.
WangXian Made Smaller
Modern wangxian au where they meet in highschool and wwx is his adhd, exuberant self. Loud, large, and open. Then, after some things happen to wwx at the end of highschool, when lwj sees him in college wwx is different. Quiter, smaller, far more subdued. He's not himself anymore.
WangXian Farming Sim
Y'all, what if modern au Lan Zhan escapes reality by playing cute and cozy games? What if he starts playing a farming sim (*cough* Stardew Valley *cough*) and finds out you can romance characters? What if he immediately falls for the character Wei Ying?
WangXian Hidden Dating
Teen wangxian that actually start dating close to the start of their friendship, but no one realizes until years later because they don't appear outwardly different (wwx teases, lwj gets mad/storms off, wwx laughs; wwx is physical and chases after him, lwj just is)
WangXian Fake Dating Miscommunication
Y'ALL! I JUST HAD A FIC IDEA WHILE IN THE SHOWER!
It's hs friends wangxian in college, where after wwx gets kicked out (and dragged in to live with lwj by the scruff of his neck because no, Wei Ying, you will not sleep on the park bench) wwx starts a fake dating/Easy A thing
The End (dream)
CW // depictions of violence
Okay, so I just woke up from the wildest mdzs dream and as well know, dreams don't exactly make sense, but there was some semblance of an actual story here so Imma try to convey it as best as I can
I don't know where it begins other than lwj (hgj) met a kid while wwx was dead
WangXian Powdered Donut Get Together
Just saw a video and my brain did the thing (aka "what if wangxian") so here we go
WWX is sitting on the couch and eating powdered donuts, scrolling on his phone when LWJ comes and sits next to him. They're best friends, so they hang out a lot, especially at LWJ's place.
The Cock Block
CW // NSFW
College Shenanigans
WangXian Trans in Highschool
Been thinking about modern au highschool wangxian where transmasc lwj suddenly starts his period when he was not expecting it and excuses himself to the washroom and proceeds to freak out and panic over it. Now, wwx, being the man he is, notices lwj's extended absence
WangXian ATLA Fans
Teen wangxian au where WWX is a big atla fan and introduces his best friend LWJ to it, and LWJ falls in love with the show (both because WWX loves it and because it's good) of course. WWX also introduces LWJ to the world of fanfiction.
Lan Wangji's Glasses
College au where lwj wears glasses and has an aversion to contact lenses. He and wwx meet and slowly become friends (he's reluctant and scared, but wwx weasels his way in) and then come the ~feelings~ of course. It takes him a while, but eventually he accepts what he feels.
Matchmaker Lan Qiren
Thinking about a friendship that grows slowly between wwx and lqr at a local mahjong place. They are unlikely friends for a number of reasons (not limited to their age gap and seemingly clashing personalities) but they are friends nonetheless.
WangXian Dancers
Wangxian dance au where wwx does hip-hop (competitively and is an assistant teacher) and lwj does ballet (also competitively and is an assistant teacher) but they don't get along for a while because lwj views hip-hop frivolous and not requiring any true technical skill
WangXian Idol AU
Wangxian idol au where idol wwx is notoriously bad at remembering names and faces, never really remembering fans, but they love him regardless. And then one day he meets a fan who sticks in his mind without even trying. It's months later at a fan meet that he sees him again.
Mianmian's "Boyfriend"
Highschool au where wwx (being the fun flirt he is) flirts with lwj every chance he gets. One day, frustrated, lwj comes out to him as gay and tells him to stop messing saying things he doesn't mean. Now, wwx is kinda shook because lwj is gay!? He likes men? Wwx is a men!
Su She Curses Lan Wangji
Bodyswap au where Su She has an infatuation with WWX that only gets worse over time. Wangxian get together and Su She becomes more and more bitter, not to mention he's always viewed LWJ as a self-obsessed pompous ass. So, after being publicly insulted by him, he makes a plan.
WangXian Science Fair
Young teen wangxian have to prep for an upcoming science fair. The fair is graded, mandatory participation for the whole class. Lan Zhan feels his stomach plummet at the thought. He is… Not great with science. Music? Math? Language studies? Count him in. But science?
Wei Ying's Gender Reveal Party
When Lan Zhan gets an invitation from Wei Ying stating "Gender Reveal Party" his heart sinks. He is... Confused and conflicted. Lan Zhan's has long since known he was gay, but meeting Wei Ying has made him question that part of him he was so certain about.
Sugar Uncle Lan Qiren
Just got an idea for an unhinged wwx & lqr identity p0rn story where they know each other irl at college and don't particularly like each other. Lqr thinks wwx is a troublemaker through and through, and a bad influence. Wwx thinks lqr is rude and upright.
"I Love My Body"
Just saw a tt of the "I love my body from my head to my toes" song and had such a vision for wangxian, so hear me out:
Lan Zhan's earliest memory is his mom singing that song to him. She would sing it almost every day, holding him close in her arms
Death Industry Wei Ying
Hear me out: wwx works in the death industry (as what? I don't know yet, he has options) and ends up meeting the most gorgeous man ever (lwj). Now, he really wants to impress lwj and date him long term, but given lwj's aesthetic (whites, blues, greys, beiges) he is nervous
AroAce WangXian
Childhood friends wangxian who suddenly are ripped apart for some reason or another and ultimately lose contact. LWJ, of course, is completely distraught. LXC sees this and feels for his didi. He not only lost his best friend but also the first person he ever loved.

So.
Previously on my "The Untamed/MDZS Ice Skating AU".
Unfortunately for y'all I have not finished talking about it. as always, a big thank you to @galaxy-darkmoon for giving me rope, and also @the-nonchalance-blogs for giving me the idea in the first place.
We left things at the double divorce JFM/YZY and JGS/Madam Jin.
At this point in time the other players step in. I will start with the WangXian and continue on with the SangCheng part.
I will do the XiYao drama in the next post cos this is already way too long and I need to think.
Anyway, enjoy. Under the cut
THE WANGXIAN DRAMA
Now, WWX is still competing and training under freshly divorced JFM as a solo - and possibly the star of the Jiang rink. A lot of people and journalists have a lot of things to say about the Choices™(C) made by JFM, but WWX's skills and prowess and several silver and gold medals on his rack, plus several trophies won jot all of that down.
Enter the Lans. The Lans are an extremely traditionalist family of ice skaters, who only skate with classical/traditional music and that has become through the years their trademark.
LQR, the coach and also LXC and LWJ's uncle, after the untimely disappearance of the parents, and the two brothers have trained a lot - LXC is already in the seniors category, whilst LWJ is still in the juniors category.
It's time for regional championship and WWX is also competing.
And it's clichè, but it is love at first ina bauer and toe loop for both WWX and LWJ. They both score first and whilst JFM and LQR are already down to throw hands for the gold medal, WWX blurts out a "why don't we share? we are both really good, so why don't we share the podium." This all whilst being the usual feral gremlin. LWJ is like, "no, it's not in the rules", but LXC is like "uncle, that's a really good suggestion" and LQR is at an inch from losing it, JFM deals the final blow like "you heard WWX, come on! let's praise them both!" and LQR concedes.
JC has seen the thing and he is at the "this might as well happen" point and just leaves the rink where he was watching WWX without a word. I will come back on this in just a moment.
LQR anyway invites WWX at the Gusu rink to train, stuff that happens once every blue moon, and JFM is like "yes, that is my son" "Uncle Jiang I am not your son" "Details, just go." "Ok, let me say goodbye to people."
And by "people" he means JC and Yanli, who were there to watch him compete.
Yanli congratulates him and says that JC is outside.
WWX goes to JC, who has had A Day™ and is just like "congrats, if it had been me at your place my father would have preferred to give up the position rather than have me share the podium" "Aw you know he doesn't mean that. I know you are as good as me and one day he will see that." "well, good luck then, I have stopped competing, say that to Father™"
More drama.
More misunderstanding.
JC goes back home, packs up and rents a flat near the Nie rink. He takes the position as ice skating teacher for kids over there and tries finding some sort of peace, whilst still aching over the above mentioned drama.
WWX goes to Gusu with the ache of having lost a brother completely and yes, being close to LWJ does make him feel better, but he still misses greatly his family.
Anyway the national championships approach and eventually WWX and LWJ change into a pair, become an item and end up skating into the sunset over wangxian.mp3, break several rules, get disqualified and then LQR and JFM, pressed by LXC, make an appeal and get the commission to accept them.
WWX and LWJ skating off into the sunset inspired by this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kpp5XKiQqBE
THE SANGCHENG DRAMA
I said that JC stops competing, goes away from YZY's rink, rents a flat and goes teaching ice skating to kids at the Nie rink.
Now, the Nie have a team of hockey players. NMJ is the coach, NZH is the captain and NHS should technically be on the team as well, but he'd rather pull out paper and pencil and sketch out the things that interest him the most, birds most notably. NHS has an extensive collection of fans as well.
NMJ is fuming bc NHS has the capability and the potential to be the perfect ice hockey player, but he'd rather just NOT participate in that. NMJ has unfortunately a chronical illness and knows he can't be forever there, he would LOVE for his brother to inherit the team, but he has not said anything about his chronical illness to NHS thinking that if he did maybe NHS would feel too much pressured. He does not know that NHS knows about the chronical illness and is the one making sure that NMJ takes his medications.
In any case, when JC starts teaching, NHS is fascinated. He watches JC gracefully glide on the ice and be generally the Ice Price Of His Dreams, If Not For The Aggressiveness, but considering that also NMJ Tends To Be That Way Too, NHS assumes that there is some turmoil going on and makes it his mission to uncover All Of That™.
THat and also NHS really enjoys drawing JC gliding gracefully on the ice - too bad JC discovers this and also NMJ is VERY perceptive, but NOT subtle at all, so when NMJ says "HUAISANG COME AND PLAY!" "One sec bro, I have to finish something" "STOP LOOKING AT THE TEACHER'S ASS AND COME HERE NOW OR I WILL BURN YOUR FANS." "... Thank you bro for destroying any chance I had."
Awkwardness ensues.
JC is unfortunately very direct and does not beat around the bush. NHS confesses. JC is in a mystic crisis bc "OMG someone likes ME, the CRANKIEST and ANGRIEST man on earth." NHS takes a step back and notes, in his 35 steps plan on how to court and conquer JC that he needs to make him understand that "the greatest thing you'll ever learn is to love and be loved in return".
It takes NHS to step in to win a game, whilst NMJ is in the hospital bc the chronic illness is too much to bear, JC taking NHS to the hospital to see NMJ alive and slightly better, NMJ's blessing to NHS and JC and NHS throwing himself onto JC after NMJ is asleep bc THE PRESSURE, THE WORRY, THE CONCERN, and JC says that he will be there and NHS wanted to be the conquering one, but he ends up conquered by the heart of gold of JC.
JC reveals all about his family and NHS convinces him to reconcile, if not with his parents, with WWX and Yanli. Things work out bc HS is great at mediating and JC is genuinely touched by him.
WWX and Yanli tell JC to go for it, bc it is clear that there is some sort of sentiment, thus forcing JC to sort himself out.
JC sorts his feelings out and declares his love to NHS by performing a choreography on "Nature Boy" by David Bowie.
See you next time with the XiYao and Xuanli part.

Hi ali! Just wanted to say that I'm super grateful for the NMJ/WQ crumb you tossed my way bc they're my fave mdzs ship. Pove your art style and all your aus (been here since sheith hs au babey) Sending you lots of love!
