I NEED to talk about cookies again they're all I can think abt and I need to yap abt the current meta [i think] simply because I want to!!!!

Cuz like recently reached grandmaster for the 2nd time ever without falling out immediately [ILYSM SMILK TY MY BELOVED] therefore I am now in like top 500 or 300 or 400 and can confirm the most used teams contain: Dark Cacao [awakened, ofc], SMILK!!!!!, burning spice, snapdragon and golden Cheese [also awakened, aswell, ofc]

Uh the toppings for all of them look like the above if youre curious... if you cba to look or figure it out then there IS a tl;dr at the bottom!!!!!! There are also alternative teams but smilk gc dc bs smilk sd are the most meta one rn!!

BS: full atk with some dmg resist and dmg res bypass so he can do a buncha dmg but it's fine if there's not a lot of dmg resist bypass [he still might need some dmg res so he doesnt die quickly, even if he's tanky cuz of being a charge cookie] you could also give him some cooldown via not full atk toppings If need be..

DC: Full cooldown [recommended like 35%/36%+ so he has a really short skill start so he can silence the enemy team more especially at the start so that your team can use their skills first and not absolutely murder you in the start] + some dmg resist and dmg res bypass if possible

SMILK!!!!!: It probably seems like a not bad idea to give him full atk but PREASE give him full cooldown!!!! if you give him enough like maybe around 26%-28% he has a 1 second start WHICH MEANSSS that he will OBLITERATE gc after shackling her on the opponent team [if she's even on the team] and force her to use her extra built-in revive at the start so it's harder for the opponent to win [also he doesnt really need full atk in arena cuz even with full cooldown he does A TON of damage — probably the most on the whole team, often surpassing the damage done by bs] + FULL dmg res bypass on his beascuit if possible since like it could total to around 100% dmg res bypass since he has some extra from his skill and he'll do LOADS of dmg!!

GC: Preferably full atk with dmg res + dmg resist bypass [MAYBE around 11% cooldown for 3 second start but its not obligatory, its optional!!!!] IF YOU ARE FACING AN OPPONENT WITH SMILK ON THEIR TEAM EXPECT HER TO DIE NEAR OR AT THE BEGINNING!!!!!! Do not be surprised..

Snapdragon: probably just give them lots of cooldown, as much as you can!!! No need to worry abt dmg res [or anything else, really] because theyre a safeguard so they cant die or take damage or be silenced/shackled!! I think in crk the amount of healing done by heals and supports scales off of their atk [unlike a game like genshin where most characters that do healing have it scale off of their hp with some exceptions..] but EVEN SO we still give them full cooldown cuz they will use their skill and do more healing or give more buffs/debuffs more often [or both]. If desired to, you CAN give snapdragon more atk, maybe a little crit% aswell?, to try make them do a little more healing but it isn't recommended if it makes their cooldown really low... probably don't give them full atk or anynatk toppings UNLESS you can get their cooldown to still be really high!!!

Why not wind archer? You CAN still use him, he isnt bad all of a sudden but people start switching him out for smilk [and dc replacing mystic flour] cuz smilk is painfully op in every way thinkable namely the fact he revives himself, he does A TON of damage in 1 atk, he shackles enemies and once they're shackled they are NOT escaping [whereas for archie you can un-stun cookies by using a simple treasure or just stunning him first], he heals himself to full hp after revived and doesn't immediately die, probably does even MORE dmg after he revives, gives himself a hp shield everytime he uses hid skill after the revive, etc.. even though archie is still GREAT generally he's slowly falling out of the meta in arena [still definetly useable there but.. yk]

Why not mystic flour? Ofc, same as archie, mf is NOT bad in the SLIGHEST: her Sheild is dummy thick, literally one of the best healers in the game, heals even after she dies, increases cooldown of opposing team in arena by like 1 second everytime she uses her skill, AMAZING healing etc... butttt she is not very tanky and dies pretty easy from any amount of damage even with a buncha dmg resist, at the back row so can't really protect your team and take dmg for them and is just a Healer so maybe less specific buffs compared to creampuff or star coral or cream ferret [supports] and she can be swapped out for others who safeguard like snapdragon or icicle yeti or someone actually tanky like dc who's a charge and is in the front [even before people started using snapdragon more and more for the new meta, she already practically got replaced by icicle yeti and dc got replaced by cream ferret, i believe?]

They both had a good run, rip archie and misty as arena meta....2024-2025..

Icicle yeti absorbs 30% of non-periodic damage done [.e.g. damage done by wind archer would get absorbed by icicle yeti but not dmg done someone else like prune juice or affogato who do periodic damage since theyre poison type or damage done by bs' burning] by opponents in their yeti form which is really good [+safeguard, front liner AND goof healing too] hence they were in the meta arena team[s] for a while, replacing mf.

Cream ferret has mad good buffs like big dmg res, atk, crit [etc...] buffs and really good healing [.e.g. restoring a cookie's full hp when they reach 50% hp or lower] and isn't exactly a safeguard [they can become invincible until the whole team dies or wheh they're in their ferret form after they use their skill] so they can die and get affected by silence, shackles, stun, etc... PLUS they're a support so they aren't tanky and can't take a lot of damage before dying inevitably.

i love when words fit right. seize was always supposed to be that word, and so was jester. tuesday isn't quite right but thursday should be thursday, that's a good word for it. daisy has the perfect shape to it, almost like you're laughing when you say it; and tulip is correct most of the time. while keynote is fun to say, it's super wrong - i think they have to change the label for that one. but fox is spot-on.

most words are just, like, good enough, even if what they are describing is lovely. the night sky is a fine term for it but it isn't perfect the way november is the correct term for that month.

it's not just in english because in spanish the phrase eso si que es is correct, it should be that. sometimes other languages are also better than the english words, like how blue is sloped too far downwards but azul is perfect and hangs in the air like glitter. while butterfly is sweet, i think probably papillion is more correct, although for some butterflies féileacán is much better. year is fine but bliain is better. sometimes multiple languages got it right though, like how jueves and Πέμπτη are also the right names for thursday. maybe we as a species are just really good at naming thursdays.

and if we were really bored and had a moment and a picnic to split we could all sit down for a moment and sort out all the words that exist and find all the perfect words in every language. i would show you that while i like the word tree (it makes you smile to say it), i think arbor is correct. you could teach me from your language what words fit the right way, and that would be very exciting (exciting is not correct, it's just fine).

i think probably this is what was happening at the tower of babel, before the languages all got shifted across the world and smudged by the hand of god. by the way, hand isn't quite right, but i do like that the word god is only 3 letters, and that it is shaped like it is reflecting into itself, and that it kind of makes your mouth move into an echoing chapel when you cluck it. but the word god could also fit really well with a coathanger, and i can't explain that. i think donut has (weirdly) the same shape as a toothbrush, but we really got bagel right and i am really grateful for that.

grateful is close, but not like thunder. hopefully one day i am going to figure out how to shape the way i love my friends into a little ceramic (ceramic is very good, almost perfect) pot and when they hold it they can feel the weight of my care for them. they can put a plant in there. maybe a daisy.

Lex is Vlad reincarnated

So! Lex Luther, the greatest person to ever exist, had recently made a discovery.

A few weeks ago, a Cult of moronic simpletons had managed to kidnap him. Him! All for some stupid Demonic ritual where they sacrifice the wealthiest man they could find in return for something meaningless like "No More Poverty" or "No More Starvation".

He had survived, of course, and was unfortunately save by Supermoron.

But before the Man of Steel had busted in, he overheard something from the Cultists. Apparently they had chosen him for more than just his wealth, there was something more about his Soul that they were after. It felt "Divine", as if he had the soul of a God stuffed in a Mortal's body.

And obviously it must be correct. He was already the most intelligent man in the world, One of the wealthiest, and held more political power than any single man on the planet, so of course "God in disguise" was the next logical addition to that List.

Over the next few weeks he studied and prepared.

He needed to make sure that his efforts would be rewarded, that those Cultists had been correct about him despite their idiocy.

After buying up as many Magical Artifacts as he could related to Identity and Soul, he tested himself on Each and Every One. And Lo and Behold, he is truly a God.

Well, the Reincarnation of One. Apparently this was common in immortal beings such as himself, reincarnating themselves into mortal bodies as a sort of Vacation from their Duties. All he needed to do now was find a way to regain his Memories and Power without dying, and he would truly become a God On Earth.

A few more weeks of Preparation, and he was ready.

Apparently the Manchild of Steel had caught onto his plan in that time. His Ego probably couldn't bear another God living in the same City as himself, so he tried to stop Lex's plans of Ascension. Thankfully, in his research he had discovered his Rival's vulnerability to Magical Attacks, and set up countermeasures for him and his Breakfast Club should they attempt to interfere.

He stepped into the Ritual Circle, and began his Ascension to Godhood.

Try as they might, the League could not foil his plans this time. The Ritual Circle lit up with a sickly green light, and expanded to cover his entire body. The Ritual began to finally complete itself.

He had Won.

Vlad stood at the center of the circle for a few moments. He took in all his Memories of his most recent Life, and Facepalmed so hard he was sure The Badger heard it back in the Realms.

Ten Tousand Years of Therapy specifically to curb his egotistical tendencies, and That is how he decides to spend his most recent Life? Acting as a Billionare Supervillain attacking a well meaning Hero for nothing less than Ego?! He even Cloned them!? Had he learned NOTHING!?!?

"Careful Team, we don't know how powerful he is now." He heard his current Nemesis say.

Oh right...they were still there.

He didn't really feel like explaining everything to them, and he technically still had about 40 years left on his Vacation...

He simply turned his back to them, flew back to his Mansion, turned back into his Human Form, and set about his Day. Maybe he could right a few of the wrongs he had done on this life?

It would certainly throw his current Nemesis for a loop. And while he may not Hate him anymore, he definitely still liked to Mess with him.

Maybe this would be more entertaining than he thought?

an AU where ceroba, in the end, refuses to inject kanako with the serum. even after all her research, she just can't trust that it's totally safe. while kanako accepts this, she still wishes she could eventually be of use somehow, and indirectly blames herself for her father's death.

despite all this, with kanako alive, ceroba is able to grieve chujin in a far less desperate way, still having her daughter by her side. as the years go by, ceroba devotes more and more of her time to finishing chujin's research in hopes of finally making a serum that can save the underground. kanako is determined to help, too -- together, they clean up chujin's lab and make it a far nicer place to work, because they're in this together now. well, in theory.

ceroba still certainly takes care of kanako and does her best to be a good mother, but as time passes, ceroba spends more and more time in the lab trying to find an answer. kanako, being the social butterfly that she is, can't bring herself to always stay shut inside like her mother; she travels daily to Oasis Valley, making friends and becoming the town darling. as ceroba spends more time working, kanako spends more and more time taking care of the estate, trying to spend time outside whenever possible.

but it gets kind of lonely. the ketsukane estate is off outside of Oasis Valley, and not many people come by. she's worried about her mother, who's been shutting her out as she becomes more desperate to find a solution. there's only so much to do at the house.

then, clover falls into the underground and explores the dunes. there are barely any other kids at this spot in the underground -- finally, someone around her age! she's immediately entranced by them and determined to become their friend, even after finding out they're a human -- that just makes them cooler...!

but there's a problem; kanako has seen her father's tapes, she knows that a human soul would be extremely valuable to producing the serum. of course, she wants to help save the underground, and she wants her mother to finally be rid of stress and be able to spend time with her again... but after spending time with clover, kanako knows there's no way she can let clover die. they're like the sibling she never had...

and kanako can't even let her mother know that clover exists, either; she knows exactly what will happen if ceroba finds out there's a human here. and yet, a secret part of her wishes and hopes that maybe, just maybe, ceroba could find value in clover as a person and then they could all live in the ketsukane estate together. it would be a dream come true! maybe there's even some way clover can help ceroba without having to give up their soul...?

but things aren't destined to work out that way. any number of things could happen.

clover could peacefully move on in their quest through the underground, leaving a sad and lonely kanako behind.

or, ceroba finds out about clover in one way or another, and things are not looking good. but would she choose to take clover's life at the cost of her daughter's one and only friend?

what if clover didn't come in peace, but in vengeance?

or maybe ceroba somehow accepts clover, growing to respect them after all is said and done, and she tries to experiment on a living human soul?

or maybe, wracked with grief and loneliness, kanako discards her mother's warnings and takes the new, updated serum herself, determined to become the hero for her family like she always wanted...?

or, something else could happen.

what if, after an unhappy ending, kanako wakes up on that same day again, waiting for clover to come by the ketsukane estate for the first time? she doesn't even know how it's possible, reliving the same few weeks over and over. she just wants to find her happy ending, and she'll search and search for as long as she needs to.

how long can she watch the same endings play out over and over?
