Alright Apology Tour... I don't even know where to start for this episode.

So I'll start with this statement:

I want them to make it work.

Surprise, surprise but I think that when stolas and blitz aren't forcing it, they are actually cute together.

This is my favorite scene from the episode because stolas just falls into blitz's arms and blitz just holds him.

He cares, it's obvious that blitz cares but I think he's still unaware of how much. I also think that stolas know that blitz cares.

In the conversation at the beginning of the episode there are two scenes that kinda prove this.

In the first scene blitz is talking about how relationships are boring and not worth it, and stolas leans on the table and basically asks him if he thinks that then what are they doing now.

Which is a valid question, because blitz is clearly fighting for them right now. He's doing a terrible job and saying all the wrong things but he is there. Stolas understandably gets annoyed and walks off when blitz side steps the question.

The next scene where we see that stolas is aware at least a little of how blitz feels is when he's fake apologizing. He pretty much says 'oh I'm supposed to apologize for thinking so badly of myself I push people who actually care about me away? And stolas just says yes.

There are moments of clarity that tell me blitz is completely aware of his faults but other moments that make me think differently. When stolas says he sounds like striker he denied it. Only to continue to mock stoas for being a prince and completely disrespecting him.

I feel like if blitz had approached the conversation in the garden like he had the one at the party things would have gone better.

Speaking of the party. The stolas song was amazing, and it was basically about how stolas still has feeling for blitz but he just doesn't think blitz cares. Which is a fair feeling since blitz left the garden basically telling stolas he'd apologize to everyone but him. Which was a petty thing to say.

Stolas hating the party despite the song is also really funny, up until the end of the episode that is. Stolas complained to himself the entire time how ridiculous and petty it is to host a party like this every year, he even continues that thought process while drunk.

Also while drunk stolas explained to blitz how he's looking for a romantic love. He wants to be loved and wanted by someone special a conversation that of course makes blitz feel bad but stolas can't see that.

This is the moment that cemented my belief of wanting them together. They're both so casual in this scene stolas because he's drunk and blitz because he's feeling vulnerable and guilty.

They still have a natural chemistry and quick witty dialog that flows naturally. They fit well together even when fighting, but only when they're not forcing the relationship. Only when stolas doesn't have blitz on a pedestal, and when blitz isn't blaming stolas for all of his problems. As equals they work.

I wanna see them make up.

The fact Blitz moved on from all of his exes so easily after cutting them out when things got serious, not even getting jealous when they found love. But Stolas is actually the only one that has altered his brain chemistry.

can we talk about octavia's line in the S2b trailer?

because what i find so interesting here is that blitzø has expressed he knows stolas loves him even if he can't fully believe it

and self-sabotages to end the conversation bc it got too real

but stolas himself hasn't used those words at all - in full moon he dance around them, he implies those feelings (albeit heavily)

and i find this interesting bc the way octavia says her line (which is hurt and accusing) sorta makes me think stolas has never actually named his feelings towards blitzø even to himself

blitzø names them and octavia names them, but stolas himself doesn't and even when blitzø expressed his confusion over why stolas would even feel this way:

stolas doesn't...give a concrete answer?

like that is a nice answer bc it's calling out blitzø's self-sabotage in a way but it's still missing the root of the question:

why?

how?

what about me makes you love me?

and bc these two don't really know each other outside the bedroom or stolas being in danger, it makes me think stolas' sober answer to this would point out things blitzø has done for him:

played bodyguard i.e. "protected him"

helped him figure out he's fucking gay "awakened him"

gave him a friendly afternoon "my first ever friend"

or he'd repeat his implied sentiment that he "likes blitzø for blitzø" which also does. not. answer that question

bc none of the above speaks directly about blitzø the person and i just find it so interesting that arguably the most tragically romantic character in the show...hasn't told the man he loves that he loves him and why

concretely

in actual descriptive words

naming shit about blitzo himself (e.g. "you're protective", not "you protected me")

and this is something i strongly believe blitzø will need to hear before he can fully trust that stolas' feelings toward him are real and not a by product of what he can do

that his bird isn't going to abandon him bc of who he is bc who he is is what's making him stay and here's the proof bitch

Stolas is a genuinely nice person, but has a massive problem in failing to understand the feelings of the people around him. In his mind, if he plans something out that, in the best case scenario, will make himself and the person he is with happy. Although he loves Blitzo and his daughter Octavia very dearly, he does have a tendency to be wrapped up in his own emotions to the point where it seems difficult for him to express them, likely due to being lonely and neglected for most of his life.

Despite Blitzo being very clear about his personal reservations with their relationship, Stolas doesn't seem to understand just how much of the power imbalance is present and how he needs to talk things through with the Imp for things to work out between them. In "Full Moon", where Stolas ends up causing Blitzo to reject him because he didn't properly explain why he wanted his grimoire back and doesn't give enough time for Blitzo to process his feelings. This caused the imp to panic and lay open his objections with Stolas, as he genuinely cannot understand Blitzo's problems and decides to break things off with him. The next episode "Apology Tour" showed that he does recognize he might have some faults in their relationship failing, only for Verosika to stop the realization by insisting that everything is Blitzo's fault during the song.

What's up with the shit takes I've been seeing for this episode.

Blitz and stolas both has trauma that they're trying to overcome. I don't know why people insist on ignoring stolas's trauma in favor of blitz and vice versa.

Stolas literally starts the ep off singing about his insecurities and how much he loves blitz. Singing about how he hopes blitz will stay with him. He's ignoring the problems he's having with the divorce and probably the potential custody battle. He's trying to make things right between him and blitz.

He sees himself as a monster because of the contract despite the fact that blitz showed up to his house with the intent to steal from him. No one wants to talk about that thou.

Then stolas talks about how being with blitz saved him from the chains of his status. Their relationship despite being built on a lie showed him that stolas can make choices in his own life. So now he wants to give blitz that choice too, and he hopes that blitz will choose him. Stolas truly thinks that blitz will respect him enough to consider an actual relationship despite his insecurities telling him otherwise.

Freezer meltdown.

Blitz and stolas know nothing about the others trauma or their triggers.

Stolas has the right to walk away from this conversation especially after what blitz jokingly said. He is not obligated to stay and take the verbal abuse that blitz throws at him. Stolas walks aways because blitz has seemingly given his answer he's upset and trying not to argue. He has lived in an abusive house hold for 17 years. He's triggered.

But blitz is triggered as well he has abandonment issues that he hasn't worked out yet. He's used to relationships going wrong and ending in a fight which is why he lashed out.

He needed a minute to process which is fine but that doesn't give him the right to lash out verbally to stolas who literally flinches when blitz yelled.

In my opinion stolas did a great job conveying his feelings which is difficult to do. I don't think he realized just how far on different pages they were when it comes to the relationship. Stolas believes they're already on the brink of being more, while blitz wants things to stay the same.

They both just think so lowly of themselves they cannot conceive the other truly loves them.

If one more person calls stolas a manipulator I'm gonna lose it.
