I am kinda interested in seeing how Richter is gonna deal with not being able to protect another mother figure. But this time it is a little worse. He finally found his purpose and reason for fighting again: protecting those he loves. He finally was able to get his magic back. He is stronger than the little kid who saw olrox murder his mother and could only run away.

But it still wasn't enough.

Richter still couldn't fight the powerful vampire. He still had to run away. And he still had to leave Tera to her fate.

But this time at least he is running alone

(Also the theme of running away being the first step to start running somewhere better could also be explored more + Maria having to deal with her mother becoming a vampire because of her fucked up dad and to protect her + Annette abandoning another person she cared for to vampires)
