You know personally, I really don’t like how Pearl and Maya’s older designs basically changed nothing outside of just looking older
It just feels like there were so many missed opportunities here
I know Phoenix and Edgeworth also don’t really look that different either, but I don’t know, it feels like more of a tragedy here. Like these two could have gotten something new, especially with the 10 year time gap, but they’re kept nearly the same despite all that because people liked them in the original trilogy and the 3D games wanted them to be the same for nostalgia while not actually adding anything to them. I imagine a lot of it came from the backlash of Apollo Justice’s changes, but still
I also kind of dislike that neither of them got that much taller. I mean Maya I can kind of get, she was I think 19 by trilogy’s end and by that point she’d be mostly fully grown, but why has Pearl not even grown half a foot taller since she was 8 years old?? I know some people can just stop growing at a young age, and that short people exist, but come on

I'm on like Level 5 of my replay of the Lego DC Supervillians game. I can't really say too much about it, but I want to emphasize how many of DC's villains are better than their heroes. Most of these characters are at least somewhat sympathetic (from Solomon Grundy to Harley Quinn, Livewire to Captain Cold, Reverse-Flash to Poison Ivy, etc). And the only character in the main playable cast list who I haven't found super, super sympathetic is Malcolm Merlyn. But im general, DC has a problem where their villians are so compelling that I actively dislike a lot of their heroes and root for the villians. That does make this game fun though, I must say.

"The head of Helsinki City Theatre, the director of the musical Kari Arffman says that it's not the job of theatre to educate the audience by tackling difficult themes, but the theatre can incite people to take action in their own daily lives.
- If someone, after seeing [Dear Evan Hansen] asks another how they're really doing, then that's important."

It's not the job of the theatre to tackle difficult topics?!?!? Guess that explains why HCT has been staging the blandest musicals to ever bland for the past few years ajlgsähksälfsä

I was wondering... if David didn't know that Kirk was his father then it'd have to mean that he wasn't even written in the birth certificate. There would have to be no records of David Marcus being James Kirk's son. Especially in a society Star Trek presents where you can literally find information about anyone (no privacy at all; unless something is deliberately erased or put under "no authorization").
So I wonder if Carol decided to tell Kirk to stay away even before David was born... (and if that's something I should maybe do when it comes to my fic...)
OR
maybe David knew. He looked it up and that's why he hated James Kirk in particular...

warm-ups that now make me rotate this au in my brain as well
i imagine this as ed having fallen from grace and forgotten what happened exactly. Bruce nurses him back to health in reltive secret (alfred knows), and helps him adjust to life on earth, but he feels conflicted on wether he should help edward let go of hope or hold on to it

ahh no bc re: fiction affecting your real life views im so tired of people going "but jaws!! jaws made people hate sharks!!" jaws did do damage to sharks' reputation but its a bold overstatement to say it caused people to be afraid of sharks and hate sharks and whatever. jaws exploited an already existing fear that comes from ignorance on how an animal works in real life, it didnt originate that fear and yet i keep seeing people claim thats essentially what happened. 101 dalmatians raised a demand for dalmatians by people who didnt know how to take care of them and h*rry p*tter caused a spike in the number of later abandoned/neglected pet owls. i wish these cases were examined as examples of people basing their views and actions on media that isnt and wasnt meant to be educational rather than "jaws made people hate sharks"
