Review - The God of High School ( 갓 오브 하이 스쿨; ゴッド・オブ・ハイスクール)

Y’all this one got me hyped since episode one and never let me down, what an amazing anime! Definitely on my top for this year best animes. I can’t start explaining how much I enjoy it.

The story brings Jin Mori, a 17-year-old martial artist from Seoul, South Korea. He is invited to join a Martial Arts tournament called "The God of High School", an event that brings together people from high schools all over South Korea on a regional and then, national level in order to select three representatives for the World Tournament. As a prize, the winner gets his wish fulfilled by the hosting corporation. During the opening rounds, he comes across two other martial arts prodigies: Full-Contact Karate expert Han Daewi and sword master Yoo Mira. Later they became best friends and teammates for the national competition. Martial arts aside, participants fight by using “chareaok” granted by supernatural entities like gods, demons and mythical creatures.

I know many people didn’t enjoy how fast the anime was, and I also know people who read the webtoon say it’s better because they actually took their time with every moment. I do wish everything went slower like to see more stuff like Mori’s training with Bongchim, and more of Daewi and Mira’s training too. Also I would have loved to see a bit more of Taejin’s fight against that cult. But knowing everything is slower I would definitely read the webtoon to see and enjoy again.

However, the anime was one of the most exciting things I have seen this year, I adore it, even though it was fast, I’m the type of person that gets involved really quick when characters are good, and that happened to me, even when people said there wasn’t much development, for me it was enough to love our main trio and the friends they made on the way. And tbh I’m in love with Mori, he was everything to me.

Animation was insane, this anime has one of the best fighting scenes all along the way, it did surprise me the work animators put on it, really amazing. I love he characters design it’s really unique, that’s something I really enjoy from webtoons being animes the design it’s really different. Music was amazingly, op really hyped you up for the episode. And again I got a kpop group to participate and CIX did an amazing job with the ending, definitely one of my favorites for eternity.

I really want a season 2, so please crunchyroll make it happen along tower of god TT, my final score 10/10⭐️
