Watched The God of High School today.

I really liked the anime, but part of me kinda felt like it was too fast paced? When I was on the 5th episode, I really felt the story was moving so fast like I was on the 10th episode.

Not really complaining, I liked it, but just at some moments i felt like huh? Mmm eh?

Other than that, the animation was realllllyyy good. Part of me was really confused in between because what are the concepts, who's who, and what's exactly happening. There's Park who's given devil-like traits but he's not the devil, and the six, and the other god who was defeated? And our very own Jin, is he a god himself, I'm guessing he is, but I need moreeeee.

And i heard S2's not here yet, so that's not good :(

Hmm, but focusing on S1, the way the show started, with the fights and martial arts combat, i really did like it. Except in the middle of it they introduced the charoyaki thing which confused me, especially in the part where can the general public who are witnessing the God of highschool program see it? And if not, how do they make sense of what's happening in front of them? And then it went on ahead and became a little cultic, and gods and demons and so on :3 (Fr I was not expecting that, at all)

I don't have any complaints but the only thing was that the story moved super fast, which didn't give the necessary time to feel really attached to the characters. However, the beginning and the character traits of jin really did make me laugh, and him with Mira and Daewe, the first scene where they meet, and before that when they were catching the robber. Those scenes were hella funny.

Also, any time I see a 9 tailed fox god reference, my mind immediately goes to Naruto and Kurama. And Ilpyo's eyes did look like Naruto's in sage mode.

Other than that, if I ever make a wrong decision in my life under weird pressure of sorts, I want my bestfriends to make such an entry. Because man, this was one of the coolest, hottest entries. It made me happy.

....

Overall, nice anime, kept me engaged because well i did binge it today. But I have questions. The animation is so SO good.

I am here once again to thank you so much for writing the masterpiece that is and then they breathed, I just finished re-reading it again and have been filled with euphoria.

One thing I want to ask however, does Ilpyo have flame's? Or just charyeok. (And if so, what type?)

as for ilpyo's flames, no, i never really specified. But if I had to put a type to it, I'd say maybe mist or lightning, but ultimately, Ilpyo never awakens his flame in this verse. He doesn't really have charyeok either--i kept it purposely vague and up to the reader to think about, lol. Is he human? Some form of a god? Neither or both? It's a fun thought experiment!!

Ilpyo had always been a fierce warrior, battling against the forces of darkness to protect the world from harm. But when he met you, he discovered a new side of himself that he never knew existed.

You were unlike anyone he had ever met before, with a quiet grace and a gentle spirit that captured his heart from the moment you two met.

You captured the Nine Tails Guardian's heart as well, even though it took a bit of time. He found you as a distraction to Ilpyo at first but eventually got sucked into your calming nature.

You were shy and hesitant, always staying in the background, but Ilpyo was determined to draw you out of your shell.

As your relationship grew, Ilpyo found himself becoming fiercely protective of you. He didn't like seeing you uncomfortable or upset, and he went to great lengths to ensure your safety and happiness.

At first, you were overwhelmed by his attention. You had never had someone care for you so deeply before, and you didn't quite know how to handle it.

Plus, having an actual god profess his ability to easily kill anyone who even thought about hurting you was a bit scary.

But over time, you began to trust him more, feeling safe and secure in his strong arms. Ilpyo was always there for you, supporting you through your struggles and encouraging you to be brave.

He never pushed you too hard, but he always nudged you gently out of your comfort zone, showing you that you were capable of so much more than you ever thought possible.

And while Ilpyo was protective to a fault, he also knew when to step back and let you breathe. He loved watching you grow and flourish, knowing that he had played a part in helping you become the person you were meant to be.

The Nine Tails Guardian was full of pride at this, puffing his chest out whenever he got the chance.

As you walked hand in hand, Ilpyo couldn't help but smile as he looked at you. You were still reserved and quiet, but there was a sparkle in your eyes that wasn't there before.

He knew that he would always be there to protect you, but he also knew that you were confident enough to stand on your own.

"You're staring," you said quietly, glancing at him.

He blinked innocently and looked away, but you caught him looking at you again a few seconds later.

"What? I'm just admiring how beautiful you are."

You stopped walking and narrowed your eyes at him. He chuckled and pulled you close to him.

You looked up at him and he smiled before leaning down to kiss you. His kiss was soft and warm as he cupped your face with his hands. His thumbs rubbed against your skin, sending electric pulses through your veins. You felt like you were on fire, wanting him so badly it hurt. He broke the kiss and he grinned down at you, his eyes twinkling with mischief.

"You're so cute," he said.

Your face was on fire and you could barely think. Ilpyo loved to tease you, and you would always tell him about how you hated it, but you secretly loved it.

Although, it wasn't much of a secret because you were incredibly easy to read. He found it cute, but he knew other people would take advantage of you. So, he kept you close to him, but never too close. It was a fine line and one that he did not cross often.

It was one of the things you liked about Ilpyo. You knew he and the Guardian were protective of you, but they gave you took to breathe -- to be free.

It was nice, and it was something most people didn't have; a strong lover who gave you the freedom to do whatever you wanted.

Most people had lovers who wanted to control them, and that wasn't right. You had a controlling ex-boyfriend in the past, and he had a part in your ability to open up to people.

But Ilpyo helped you and you would forever be grateful to have someone as kind and gentle in your life.

You completely took him by surprise by drawing him in for a hug around the waist. His eyes widened in slight surprise before he hugged you back.

"I love you," you said shyly.

He grinned and his eyes crinkled with joy. "I love you, too."

A familiar brush of soft hair around your hands let you know that Ilpyo was gone and the Guardian had taken over.

He nuzzled his cheek on the top of your head while your hands fluffed up his many tails.

"I love you too," you said gently.

"As you should. I am one of a kind.”

You chuckled. "Yeah, you really are."

"I believe you owe me a kiss," he said.

Just thinking about it made your heart rate spike. You would never be prepared for physical intimacy, no matter how many times you kissed Ilpyo or the Guardian.

But you loved it. You loved being close and with them, being able to feel how warm and gentle they were with you. It was a feeling you could only get from them and you were happy to overcome your nerves to feel their lips against yours.

You withdrew from the hug slightly and closed your eyes to kiss him. He chuckled at how nervous you were but leaned down to kiss you.

His lips were so soft and inviting, you didn't want to leave them.

"One more time," he said as if he read your mind.

Once you nodded, he pulled you closer to kiss you. His hands were wrapped around your waist.

You felt so relaxed and warm, you almost forgot that his body was pressed tightly against yours. While Ilpyo’s kiss was more firm and gentle, the Guardian’s kiss was a bit rougher and more passionate.

You enjoyed both kisses and both people. It was an odd situation, but you wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

God of Highschool is funny to me, because if the plot was from any other perspective, Park Ilpyo would be the main character. He has a great backstory, was rivals with the first antagonist Jegal, and is basically the "Chosen One" with him being the host of the Nine Tails and Guardian of the Key. He even ends the series as the President of the World.

Except Jin Mori exists. He isn't even supposed to! He is this random kid that a guy found, and he turns out to be the Monkey King! Everyone's plans gets messed up because of him. He literally turns the entire magic system upside down because wtf? The system is all based on borrowed power, and he turns out to be an actual god. Such a power move. What a world breaker, I love him. He basically defies reality. It's why the series is so good.

Also, him blitzing through the GOH tournament as a human, beating everyone's special borrowed powers was hilarious, I can only imagine what the judges thought.
