Last minis of the year! I've painted more mechs, this time a full direct fire lance of some of the hottest inner sphere mechs out there.

Skeletor was a lot of fun but I think I'm tied for favorites between the THICC BOI Marauder II and the three armed menace that is the Orion

Nice, what's the fluorescent paint you used? I've got good work out of Green Stuff World's Fluor line.

A photo of my custom Battletech Mercenary company so far- The Outrun Suns, painted up in a cool Outrun inspired color scheme- including florescent paint for some detailing and highlights. This really makes them pop under blacklight- which the photos unfortunately don't do justice.

I have plans for a few more mechs and vehicles with these, a shadowhawk, and a Marauder for starters. Out of these I think the Marauder IIC is my favorite though.

If you could create a marauders style fandom for any other franchise, which one would you choose? I should clarify by marauders style I mean a fully fledged super popular subfandom bordering on a whole fandom on its own based around a time period and group of characters there's only scraps of information about in the core media set before the main story. For me, it's the crew of the Mercury II from Subnautica. POTENTIAL SUBNAUTICA AND BELOW 0 SPOILERS AHEAD. They're so interesting and fun to listen to what few logs we have. I can almost picture Yasmine info dumping about nuclear physics to Stephanos while he listens to her and twirls his hair curl. I can envision Elliott's family waiting for him back home, and I can feel the weight as capt. Diana leaves some of her crew behind to try and make a desperate break for the atmosphere. I just wish we had more content for these people from before the crash. And maybe this post was a thinly veiled excuse to talk about my favorite niche characters who died a decade before the game started, but I'm also interested in hearing about everyone else's answer.

An older project I painted but never posted here, this was an attempt at some more advanced freehand. I've always had an appreciation for bomber pinups, something I think a lot of mechwarriors would share with me, and with the massive flat panel running up the torso the Archer 2K on my desk seemed like a perfect candidate. Overall happy with the way this one turned out, though it does feel odd to take it to the game store even if the scale renders the figure all but unreadable without magnification
