I dreamt an X Files episode?

Like I was on this rocky wooded coastline in this little community and the sun was rising, as were three equally sized flaming black rocks, which zoomed towards us and crashed into the shore, and when they hit they were like shotput size and still on fire. People were panicking, and someone said "they threw like three quarter notes at us" and I was looking at the rocks and said "yeah, they're quarter notes" (I'm not a musician???) and so the whole community lined up and played the shoreline line a piano. You had to rock back and forth balanced on top of the "key" like one person operating a seesaw, and the unseen cosmic horror horizion beast or whatever was playing music back. It was just lonely and wanted someone to play with.

I only say that it was an X Files episode because then the dream went back to the beginning of the story, and I and Mulder (and also Scully somewhere, I didn't see her) were in the little community, which was a monastery/religious community, and the shore was being hit by larger and more violent tsunamis. By the end of the destruction, the shoreline looked like how it was when the sun and "quarter notes" were rising.

I know that other people’s dreams are often weird and uninteresting, but this had something like a plot and it just boggled me

#dgm #d.gray-man #alma karma #kanda yuu #okay im going to word vomit my concept abt this apologies in advance #anyw ik Wisely gives the opportunity to mind-read/access memories like we see in the 3rd exorcist arc #but i think Road wldve been another interesting choice. i rlly like the concept of dream n its used a lot in that arc #we see a lot fo Kanda's original life within his dreams and illusions which is Road's specialty #just like constructing this false reality idk I've talked abt the idea of Kanda being put to sleep many times before but never properly #inspection style like idk maybe they still look like kids running in this like. perfect place that illusion of the word that Alma read abou #Allen waddling through a lake's worth of lotus with Road instead of the labs!#idk...........some parts are so deep he falls in and those r pockets of memories u know bc i still want that #and the deeper and closer he gets the water gets murky and red #u know bc im cool and love cheesy symbolism #I want Allen to bargain with Alma and Alma to just be like. sweet and charming and laugh it off until Allen gets to the root of the problem #WAIT U KNOW IN LIKE SAILOR MOON WHEN THE SCOUTS DIE (that is not a spoiler i promise) and they're wrapped in thorns?#I wanna draw that w Kanda....deep under the water #but he has to want to wake up from that dream. I'm playing off the fact that Allen had to punch him to snap him outta it #anyway....im done its okay

#mp100 #mp100 fanfic #serirei #ant talks #spoilers for the fic but #basically reigen gets depressed as hell and drinks a lot #passes out. when he wakes up he is in an alternate world where he has everything he ever wanted #married to serizawa. has a child. money. ya know the joke thing #then he finds out that he gained it all via corrupt methods (causing more haunting s everywhere so there is more to exercise)#and it bites him in the ass and his daughter dies his husband dies everyone he loves dies #then OH SHIT it was a dream (kind of?) and in reality reigen is basically almost dead due to alcohol poisoning #and the whole thing was like his consciousness being like do you want to live? and stuff #and there was guilt and self loathing and an intense need for love and confrontation wit himself and all the things he loved and it was #SO GOOD #and after all the confrontation he decides he wants to live and he fights #and while that's happening serizawa and dimple and trying their damn hardest to keep this man from dying since they found his body #reigen survives. every is like WHAT THE HELL?? and he is like guys. it was a sadness accident #but it's written a lot better then that #and serizawa and Reigen kind of?? get together I mean they do but serizawa is pissed about the whole reigen almost dying thing #and it ends with serizawa asking reigen who that young girl he saw in reigens dream was and reigen is like uh #and ITS SLOOO GOOD I CANT DESCRIBE IT IT IS SO GOOD. The fun thing about having untreated narcolepsy is that on days like today where I haven’t gotten enough sleep at night for the last few weeks, I sometimes won’t notice I’ve just had a sleep attack until I am suddenly very confused by my extremely trippy train of thought about carnivorous horses & then realize that in the moment I had closed my eyes while scrolling tumblr, I had pretty much immediately started dreaming without my awareness of my thoughts shutting off.

#tbh despite my nervous system’s complete inability to properly sequence & execute sleep phases #I’m just glad don’t get sleep paralysis #or hypnagogic/hypnopompic hallucinations #that a good number of other narcoleptics wind up with when their brain messes up the order of sleep state changes & dreaming #like I’ve got plenty of borderline paranoia from my lifelong anxiety disorders thank you #don’t need to start seeing things while partially asleep as well #man there’s definitely potential for some sort of spirituality in how blurred the lines between waking & dreaming are for me #unfortunately the narcolepsy-induced chronic sleep deprivation leaves me way too tired to figure it out #narcolepsy #sleep disorder #astral rambles
