it's not unknown to my twitter moots that i always think of kirillov whenever i make a cup of tea for myself, but now i can't help but wonder if his strong, incessant inclination to only drink tea stems from a latent longing for some kind of companionship, however inanimate and fleeting, because, well... tea eventually does go cold.

today's shower thoughts are about this random-ass detail about the stavrogin-gaganov beef (the duel) — even before things went down, gaganov got outright PISSED at stavrogin (more than he already was) arriving at the scene on horseback and not by carriage, because it implied that he (stavrogin) was confident that he won't get injured so severely by gaganov that he'd need to be transported in a safer, more elaborate ride. and like just. damn. artemy pavlovich hated him so fucking bad 😭

living in a developing country sucks for a number of reasons but god does it present so many things to write about. every jeepney ride home is an experience. the mangoes i eat. the way the sun streams into my window when it's 2 in the afternoon. the people i pass by when i grab a snack after a post-lunch nap. just... so much to write about. so many interesting things to say.
