There are good things in the world still

Today, one of my good friends survived her knee surgery.

Today, my little spiny flower mantis, Whiskey, showed off how SCARY (big, very dangerous) he can be (adorable) by threatening the camera, and I got a nice shot of it!

Today, I got to see The Fifth Element on the big screen for the second time in my life. It was phenomenal and the theater had a lot of other people equally excited to see it- people who could recite the lines and laugh freely. At the start, there was a message from the group putting movies of yore on the big screen, and the message accidentally played twice. Someone in the theater said loudly "Let's see if it plays again..." and I responded "I don't wanna be in this time loop!" and got a good laugh from the others there. I think (and hope) it set the mood for a relaxed theater.

Today, I got to eat delicious Thai food with a good friend before the movie. She'd never been to this particular restaurant, and seemed very pleased with it.

Today, I gave quail eggs to my neighbors as a thank you for locking up my birds for the night while I was at the movie.

Today, I was dreading re-running laundry because I had been avoiding it for three days now, thinking I had left a load in the washer that would be stinky now. When I finally did go down, I found that past!me had already moved the load to the dryer, and everything was fine! Thank you, past!me.

i love the way this looks!!! i've always got a soft spot for pixelated style art and this one is so amazingly done, it's genuinely stunning. the way the statue is looking up, the way the colors draw your eyes down the piece, the ruffles in the statues dress, the way you can see that whoever is on the boat stopped to look up. the falling water helps draw your eyes down as well. it makes looking at this piece a very nice experience. the colors were perfectly for this type of thing too(maybe i'm biased I love pink)! and the style of shading done here ties it all together. i would definitely hang this on my wall, i like the viewing experience it gives!

This has been written as a fanfic on FF.net and is insanely good, it’s set in the dc universe.

I wonder if, in superhero universes, the villains ever get contacted by those “Make a Wish Foundation” and similar people.

I mean, the heroes do, of course they do, kids who want to meet Spiderman or Superman or get to be carried by the Flash as he runs through Central City for just thirty seconds.

But surely there are also the kids, who - because they are kids and sometimes kids are just weird - decide that what they really, really want is to meet a supervillain. Because he’s scary or she’s awesome or that freeze ray is just really, really cool, you know?

basically i graduated art school!!! got a whole ass degree now but the downside is that i got hit like a truck with 4 years worth of burnout and lost the ability to draw for like 2 months lmfao
