feeling so bleh lately, i cant really think of any particular reason, idk if i should even be bothering to look for reasons or just feeling the feelings

just feeling melancholy and sad, and sad isnt one of my usual bad emotions lol, its usually just like, various shades of anxiety

i feel a bit like a never-was and unlikely to ever be as good at the things i want to be good as i want to be, which sucks

also im annoyed with myself for still being so closed off to my own feelings... idk why i do this lol its so stupid, it's thinsg like refusing to play a song that is important to me (the song itself isnt the point just like it makes me feel weird and empty) in front of ben bc i dont want him to hear it (this was a few weeks ago idk why im feeling annoyed about it again now lol) + like feeling unable to ever really play the piano creatively and/or composing music and/or improvising musically without just feeling like fully embarrassed at any kind of Creative Expression lol i guess it's the vulnerability + the opening your true small self up, but literally like. omg... even if im on my own with my piano headphones on i raelly struggle to let myself express myself which is frankly insane and hideously british in the royal family-esque way i fear lol

idk lads im about to go to bed bc its 4am. tbh i always go kinda weird at this time of year and it may just be that lol. but im feeling !!! >:( :( :[

#also i nearly fucked up at chess job yesterday #which actually ended up fine and i def didnt get disciplined or told off or whatever #but it shook me enough to remind me that im working for an organisation with millions and millions of users #and that i have access to all that data #(that includes the current wc btw LOL like in theory i could just read all his private messages)#and that whilst teh organisation might be a bit haphazard it's actually unreal that i ahve this much power in such a meaningful chess space #blah #made me worried #no one was even mad bc i caught it before the fuck up even happened #but yeah anything involving personal data cant even get close to a fuck up and it was too close!

Tonight I learned that my 20 yr old partner has never played chess and doesn't know how to play chess. This is mind boggling to me. They claim its not weird for people to not know anything about chess so I. I need to see. Please.

Okay so, I made a mistake in not elaborating the meaning of the options. You do not have to be good or know what you are doing in the slightest to pick that you have played before. The middle three options are for your understanding of the game having never played it at all. The reason there's a percentage on the last option is because my partner made a tumblr so they could pick it because they think they are hilarious.
