Then there's also the trend of the ghost who's actually not a threat to Luigi.

Then there's the trend of having a boss who's just annoying and hard AF.

Nintendo said “you love this? It’s just the beginning!” (and it really was)

2023 gave us "Mario and Luigi love each other so much: The Movie"

2024 is giving us "Mario and Luigi love each other so much: The Game"

We know 2026 is slotted with The Super Mario Bros Movie sequel. We'll just have to wait and see what 2025 has in store.

(I know this movie and game have been cooking for some time, but I would love a once a year installment that aims to psychically explode us with the sheer amount of brotherly love on screen.)

between Dread continuing from a game on GBA (and really every game prior to that too) and Prime 4 continuing from 2 games on GameCube and Original DS, Metroid has the longest narrative endurance of any multi-creator series I've ever seen. Threads left in stasis decades ago when the series was shelved picked right back up once development resumes—an entire generation of developers later—like nothing ever happened

Ok but like, In Mario 64, Mario jumps through the painting. But in the Luigi’s Mansion series, Mario becomes the painting.

If there's ever a Luigi's Mansion 4, it should follow Mario Wonder's example and have Daisy as a main character

Or at least have Daisy be one of the kidnapped victims so Luigi also has a love interest to fight for, and not just be fighting for his brother and his friends.
