fic idea: Lucas getting sick of all of his friends having crushes on Steve and Eddie, so he devises a plan to get them in relationships but accidentally gets them together instead. Lucas isn’t mad about it, he loves them like brothers and wants them to be happy. So it’s a happy accident really that he gets them together. He just wanted his girlfriend to stop staring at Steve’s chest.

When he learned how to walk, wayne used to have to stop and make him wait outside the bathroom because hed trail behind his legs like a shadow.

Wayne had to give him one of his flannels so he could sleep at night.

I think he knew... babies have a way of picking up on things like that..

Eddie was supposed to be his.

Eventually as life took hold, eddie saw wayne less and less.

He learned to exist by himself. not even really remembering wayne..but he always felt lost, til he was brought back to his door.

here’s my multiple time jumps theory

episode 1: 1986 - picks up from the end of season four for most of the episode and then the end jumps to 1987 (or there’s only a little part of 1986 at the beginning and then the credits roll and it jumps to 87, idk)

episode 2 - def 1987. probably the whole episode

idk about the rest of the episode because I’ve only thought about this for two seconds

There is a possibly of a jump to 1988, but I personally don’t see how that could work well if there is a big story in 87. maybe it’s late 87/early 88, but I don’t think that will happen.

and then a jump to 1989 in the last episode. like a parallel to Byers moving away with the party going off to collage.

And possibly byler (and lumax and el and Dustin too of course) at prom with a snow ball parallel. (Maybe Suzie would come so Dustin isn’t dancing with Nancy again)

🪐 You'd see Robin as a sort of older sister figure and she nicknames you kiddo (Steve is just everyone's mom).

🪐 During the mall fight when Billy dies you're there comforting Max with Mike and El.

🪐 Whenever you guys go to Will's place he always plays his music which starts your addiction to The Clash and you and Will end up having full karaoke sessions to their songs.

🪐 Lucas tries to stop you from meeting Erica but when you do (because it's Hawkins) you absolutely love her and think she's hilarious.

🪐 Shopping days at Starcourt with Max and El during the summer.

🪐 Going to the junkyard whenever someone needs to clear their head because you're the group's therapist.

Eddie thrives in the chaos that the satanic panic causes, and he absolutely loves letting people believe he’d actually been possessed. What else was he going to do? It wasn’t like these ‘clean cut’ normies from town would like him anyway. Most people would be too scared to try anything with him. Those lost sheep who were like him had an easy cheat sheet to being left alone.  He wasn’t trying to be anyone’s savior... Eddie wasn’t the guy running in to slay anyone’s monsters. He wasn’t a hero by any means, but if he could teach a few kids how to make their bullies scared of them it was a win.  There was one place he worked to keep safe though... Hellfire Club.  Anyone could sit in for a game if they proved to know what they were doing. ( He would teach new freshman’s how to play, but it wasn’t something he advertised. ) Joining the club however, required the new member to sign a form that Eddie had written up himself. It was mostly illegible, Eddie wasn’t sure if that was on purpose or not. It looked more official if it took up a few pages. Plus it was always fun to watch some kid struggle to read his handwriting.  There were parts that he intentionally made sure were clear though... warning that participation might lead you to homosexual thoughts.  Homosexuality, Ritual Sacrifice, Murder... the list went on. All of it saying that if any of those things happened to you, Eddie wasn’t liable for damages.  It was frustrating that people thought a fantasy game was the root of all their problems, but the contract weeded people out. People weren’t as willing to step foot in Hellfire if they thought it might turn them gay. Absolute morons... but it kept their safe space in tact.  Dustin signed the paper without even reading it... Eddie had to physically point out the ‘warnings’. Dustin surprised him by just shrugging.  Lucas signed it. Unable to control his laughter as he started making kissy faces at Mike.  Eddie was pleasantly surprised to find that none of the kids seemed to believe any of it.  Especially with the rumors these were Harrington’s kids.

Okay I just need to put this somewhere, I just need to get it out and this is my blog and I can post what I want. Yes I am an It and Stranger Things blog but if you've been following me for a while you may or may not have noticed I interact with both those fandoms differently. I sure as hell post more about It and that can range from silly little nonsense to ficlets to character and ship headcanons.

For Stranger Things I stick to like fandom theories and discussions and will occasionally post a headcanon about a character or a ship. I post more about Stranger Things when I'm crossing it over with It ironically. I tend to stay away from anything about the ships most of the times and I don't go out of my way to contribute a lot of solely Stranger Things content as I do for It.

There's a reason too. I love rarepairs, I think they're neat. They're not for everyone and they don't have to be but I like them. And while they thrive in the It fandom, they literally go to die in the Stranger Things fandom. Which is real ironic considering the Stranger Things fandom is massively bigger than the It fandom.

The Stranger Things fandom is so draining to interact with and so I hardly don't. I protect my peace. I never scroll through the tags anymore and I'm careful about the Stranger Things mutuals I keep.

Don't get me wrong, I love Stranger Things, I love the characters, the story, and I love quite a few ships. Elmax and Byclair are probably my top two, and I'm a big fan of madwheeler, ronance, and wheelclair. When it comes to the big ships, I enjoy both Mileven and Byler casually- and by that I mean I honestly do not care who becomes/stays canon (canon doesn't matter much to me anyways) and I don't actively seek out content for them but when it comes across my feed I enjoy it.

I've said the Stranger Things fandom is draining and I'm not going to just complain without saying why. ANY ship that is not one of the big ships, Byler, Mileven, Ronance, Lumax, ect, their tag is filled with people being like : "Best friends!! I love them platonically!!" and it's just?? So not what that tag is for? The Stranger Things fandom has created platonic tags, use those. And especially if it's a ship that contains Will that isn't byler- people will insist that those two can only ever be platonic. As if Will isn't allowed find interest in a different guy besides Mike- this is fandom, people are allowed to enjoy ships that aren't the big ones.

It goes beyond just the ship tags. If I'm in the Lucas Sinclair tag I am not there to see Mileven or Byler shit, I don't want to see Lucas as a fanboy for either ship, I want to see content for Lucas. God help the Eleven Hopper tag,

But like I said, I keep my peace, I don't scroll through the tags anymore and I limit my interactions with the Stranger Things fandom,,,only everytime I post the rare character or a ship headcannon I will have people reblog it with either A.) Saying some shit about them being 'omg besties!' when clearly I meant the ship in a romantic light or B.) If it's a character headcanon or a ship one, people will use it to shit on other ships. THAT'S NOT WHAT MY BLOG IS ABOUT.

Okay I don't know- this turned into a ramble that I'll probably delete later. I just had to vent and also a lot of only Stranger Things blogs have been following me lately and I felt the need to explain why post how I post with St vs It.

camping headcannons with the whole stranger gang

Packing actually takes a lot longer than all of you would like.

For one person households, like you, Eddie, Steve, Dustin, Robin, Max, and Argyle, packing doesn’t take more than an hour or two. But for two or more households, like the byers, the wheelers, and the sinclairs (even though Erica’s not going she can’t help but bug the crap out of Lucas), packing takes more than two hours.

Who is carpooling with who takes almost as long, between Nancy and Steve’s cars, and Argyle’s and Eddie’s vans. It becomes decided that Nancy will take Jonathan, Mike, El, and Will. Steve will take Robin, Dustin, and Lucas. Eddie and you ride in his van. And Argyle takes all the important luggage, like tents, blankets, pillows, sleeping bags, sleeping cots, food, and more.

The lot of you travel a couple miles out of Hawkins and into a well known forest, as couple of the kids had camped here throughout their childhood. You all find a clearing in the forest to settle in and start unpacking immediately. The adults set up the tents while the kids bickering over who is getting what tent.

The boys (Mike, Dustin, Will, and Lucas) and Max all settle into a five person tent. At that point, the only thing they have left to bicker over is who’s cot goes where.

Jonathan, Argyle, and Nancy then settle into their own tent.

Thus leaving you, Eddie, Steve, and Robin do your own four person tent.

Once night comes around, a campfire is built and the portable cooking grill is put to work. Tonight’s dinner is hotdogs, buns and condiments are distributed.

From the day of travel, everyone goes to bed quick. You fall asleep quickly to Robin and Steve bickering sleepily.

The summer weekend camping trip is filled with many shenanigans. Such as take a small journey to the nearby lake and watching as the kids played downstream while you and Eddie made it a competition to see who can catch the most fish bare handed, collecting walking sticks, and birdwatching with a pair of binoculars your brought.

You all took turns telling ghost stories at night, around the campfire, accompanied by hotdogs and s’mores. And if you were all up late enough, you’d burn out the fire and listening to the coyotes yap in the distance.

When bedtime came around, you could hear the kids bickering in their tent over something, Steve and Robin discussing their points, and Eddie casted shadows around your tent with his small lamp that he used to read his latest book.

This is what you feel asleep to the last two nights. And you slept great.
