I think a lot about Leo standing up for his brothers in the things that really matter to them.

Like- Leo is the one who immediately pushes Mikey and Donnie into finding Raph the second it’s clear that their oldest brother is missing because he knows Raph can’t handle being separated like that.

Leo is the one who stands up for Mikey when Mikey wants to go on a solo mission, actively vouching for him and being the one to convince Raph into letting Mikey go, because being independent and proving himself just as capable of standing on his own two feet as everyone else means so much to Mikey.

And Leo defends Donnie’s honor in particular when his brothers’ intelligence is insulted because Leo is well aware of how important Donnie’s smarts are to him - and how important having those smarts valued and acknowledged is as well.

All this goes right into just how well Leo knows his brothers. For as much as he’ll tease or fight with them, he knows them, and he loves them.

ngl Matangi in Moana 2 was kinda gay. like just a little gay. i mean my girl is a "crazy cat bat lady", calls Moana "babe" twice in her song (the way i audibly gasped in the theater when i heard it lol), and is like sooooo queer coded i love it sm. she just gives off the vibes of sapphic-coded older woman who's played as suave and confident and makes the mc just go "haguphuk" and we all know if this was old disney they would've leaned so hard into that. but i could not have been the only one to keep catching Matangi poking her buttons, the hand on her chin in one scene, just being a total fucking vibe like please i know what you are. that whole scene felt real gay and don't think im leaving Moana out of this one. she is gay, i don't make the rules. i'm stickin with this hc no one can stop me from making Matangi the cool lesbian aunt and NO ONE will stop me from turning Moana gay (Auli'i Cravalho knows what she's doing)

ok im gonna be so real for a second i was simping HARD over Moana's character design in this movie.... like even more than baby me was dying during the first one... like this girl is just- oh my gosh. baby-gay me from 8 years ago would have actually DIED if she'd seen this Moana. it's almost embarrassing how down bad i was during that movie like she's so fucking pretty i wasn't ready for her design. like girls are just too much sometimes, i cant cope .

also side tangent but the lazy ass rewrite of Moana 2 from its planned version as a Disney+ series into a freaking MOVIE was just- so painfully obvious. like they didn't even try reworking it. the structure of the whole movie is painfully episodic and it was just so blatantly shoved into movie format without any care for the integrity of basic movie versus tv structure, so the char dev and pacing was just so rough. like what were the writers even thinkingggg. pretty disappointing but that's ok i have the fandom to make me feel better (moana fan art save me....)

Got high and watched How To Train Your Dragon last night and for some reason it was only then when I realized how heartbreaking Stoick’s line “With you doing so well in the ring... We finally have something to talk about” is

Like Stoick wants to connect with Hiccup. He’s tried so hard: taking him fishing, teaching him how to take down a dragon, even just living in the same house as his son, but they’re so vastly different that they can’t even hold a conversation. Until he hears about Hiccup’s successes in dragon training. And he’s so excited. He can finally connect with his son! But that is such new territory that Hiccup feels awkward and doesn’t answer. And Stoick realizes that even now, he doesn’t have and may never have the son he’s always wanted. So he tries one last thing: Giving Hiccup one last reminder of his mother. The only thing they have in common. And even that fails.

knowing there was going to be a general grievous Star Wars movie & it got canned years ago & now “the mandalorian and grogu” is gonna be the next theatrical Star Wars movie makes me wanna pume. I want to see general grevious as the wolf of Wall Street not Dave Filoni’s Infinity War.

#I watched it today it was so good #im not big on dinosaur stuff but i like how it was used to approach the predator/prey conversation especially when both sides are sentient #instead of just defaulting to well since predators are meat eaters their actions are automatically immoral so their role in the story #has to match. and then when your characters /are/ meat eaters you just step around that whole topic #heart knows he has to kill and eat so there’s no avoiding it but even he knows he has agency over that #hell he even decided to hunt by himself so umasou doesn’t have to see him kill and eat another dinosaur a day after meeting him #and maybe its because it’s a kids movie but it also doesn’t make a big show over the act of hunting and eating. it doesn’t dwell on it #like yes you can clearly see them ripping into guts minus the graphic details but it doesnt go out of its way to censor it either #its played straight just like hearts mom having more kids like nobody asks who the father is or when that happened cuz it doesn’t matter #what matters is she still loves heart and encourages her kids to greet their big brother and they do!!! it’s sweet #Beckon was also an interesting touch bc they make it clear the only reason he doesnt eat umasou is bc he cant and not that he wouldn’t #but he’s still a funny and interesting character and that doesn’t get in the way of how we see him too much #same for baku he was pretty polite with heart esp from the start when he asks him if hes abandoned implying he would be prepared to #look out for him from the start. and at the end when he decides to spare him. I dont hate him at all hes just intimidating #you are umasou #doodles #I wanted to draw smth more detailed but I couldn’t decide if I wanted to go with the cartoony art style #or smth closer to realistic?? so this is like. some sort of compromise I guess

Eddie’s growth

I haven’t seen a bunch of people talking about this.

Eddie is starting to grow back into his confident self!

As much as I am all for seeing this loser be realistic and an actual man who shows his emotions. He is starting to be more “badass” in certain scenes I’m seeing in Venom: The Last Dance trailer.

Of course, the first scene, Eddie says, “You should probably know…that I have a really dark and unpredictable side to me.” rather than before he would be like, “Yeah, I have a parasite.”

No, he’s accepting now that Venom is apart of him. Is a perfect match for him, from when he said in Let There Be Carnage: “Look they aren’t a match, we are.”

“I’m giving you a chance, sweetie.”

“Say when.” “When.”

Eddie doesn’t look scared at all during these scenes. He fully trusts Venom to protect and save him when he’s in trouble. He doesn’t even flinch when the guy cuts him with a blade!

“We are Venom.” The infamous line, Eddie trying to be badass and Venom being Venom.

Venom is letting Eddie fight a guy too!

Later on we see Eddie fighting against a military man underwater with the help of Venom and Eddie jumping off a railing to save people. Eddie didn’t even seem to think before jumping, just he jumped into action. He has a fear of heights with makes this more better for his growth.
