i love from me to you sm! 😭 like it aimed directly to my heart 😭 you're so good at writing stuff so, here i am asking for a zoro!fic where reader hides that she got wounded during their last battle and zoro founds out and our poor moss head thought reader was gonna die so, he confessed (i just love flustered zoro) 😚 n e ways, continue writing the best stories!! lotsoflove! - glasses of nanamin
i feel like this is your second ask cause of the "n e ways" but lol, eitherways that's such a cute concept!! i would love love love this (i tweaked the prompt a little bit to fit it better, but i hope you like it it still)
got me losin' my cool ft. roronoa zoro!
set-up: as anon asked!! you get hurt during a fight and zoro almost has a mental breakdown haha live, laugh, love <3
warning: a bit of angst, zoro is a dumbass. otherwise, wholesome!
roronoa zoro's feet pound against the earth and he was sure that with every leap he took, his heart sunk further under. his fingers were clammy. so very clammy against your soft skin. and he was sure the sweat dripping off his forehead and dropping onto your bloodied tank top was the last thing you wanted to see before you died.
"zo—" you rasped helplessly and your voice felt like graters against his skin. your chapped lips, almost closed eyes, the wound on your stomach and your week, blood-stained hand on it. he couldn't even bear to look at you without wanting to breakdown.
"stop talkin, please." he clenched his jaw tighter, the sound of teeth against teeth jarring. and although he refused to look down at you, cradled carefully in his arms, he could hear the desperate heaves that rocked your body.
he picked up the pace, ducking under hanging vines and leaping over overgrown roots of ancient trees carefully, so, as to not hurt you. the ship should be two minutes away, docked at the edge of the island and chopper must be there. and chopper would know what to do. how to help you.
zoro had to just deliver you to chopper.
but with his poor geographical skills, he felt like he had been running for the past thirty minutes without finding the ship. and he was certain the ship was docked only 10 minutes away from where the fight was taking place between the strawhat crew and a local pirate crew.
"zoro—" you started again.
why were you speaking? DID YOU WANT TO DIE?
"—don't use up your breath. please." he panted, feet still working to find the ship. where was that goddamn ship?
"that side—" you winced as you pointed your arm in the opposite direction. you coughed, wincing again before whispering, "the sunny."
zoro's head whipped around to look behind him. and at once, he changed the course. running as fast as he could, he soon found himself at the rocky beach the ship had been docked at.
"CHOPPER!" the swordsman bellowed for the mini doctor as he climbed up the ship. the reindeer was peering over the deck and when he looked at your nearly passed-out figure, he yelped in surprise.
"she got stabbed." zoro explained as he carried you inside to chopper's makeshift office/operation theater. laying you down gently, they both looked guilty as you groaned and clutched your own hand on the wound tighter.
"i need to apply some anti-septic, clean the wound and stitch it up." chopper stated, eerily calm in the heat of the moment. "here—" he gave zoro a sterilized cloth from his cupboard, "—apply it to her wound. put pressure on the area, i need to go make the anti-septic really quick."
"you have to make it? how long will that take?" if the swordman wasn't scared out of his wits, he would be surprised at how desperate he sounded.
"five minutes."
zoro looked at the reindeer wide-eyed. but the reindeer ran off, presumably to make the said medicine.
he looked back at you, putting the cloth to the wound and gently pushing down. he knew how to make the bleeding stop, he had done this multiple time. what he hadn't done multiple times was see you so lifeless, so incredibly overtaken by pain.
"hey." he found himself saying softly. softer than he had ever spoken before, "hey, can you look at me? hear me?"
you nodded slowly and relief washed over him. atleast you hadn't lost all cognitive senses.
"just focus on my voice, okay?" he knelt down so that he was on your eye-level from the bed. his other hand gingerly took ahold of yours. mindlessly, he rubbed soothing circles on your skin. he repeated, "just focus on my voice. yeah, close your eyes. i'm here okay?"
you found yourself closing your eyes, relying solely on the darkness of your eyelids and his voice to guide you to safety. his hand felt like a familiar weight against your stomach, the kind of touch that will renew a dead man and get him climbing back from his grave. his voice was sweet, too sweet to be even called his.
"i—" he paused, rubbing your skin with the pad of his thumb, "chopper's gonna fix you up, you know. h-he always does. i mean you're stronger than this. you'd survive, right?"
he's not sure if he meant to ask it as a question. he was sure he had said it to sound reassuring. but somewhere in between him uttering the words and you hearing them, they had turned into a desperate, desolate plea.
your chest fluttered underneath him, your breath strained. the face he adored slowly scrunched up from the pain. and he found himself talking even more.
"focus on me, okay? just me." he steeled his voice. and his nerves. "you'd be okay. you know, you always said you'd make me mochi, you never did. you said you'd make sake flavoured mochi. is that even a thing?" he laughed despite himself. it was barely a laugh. a pitiful scoff maybe? it was not the kind of laugh that would fool you.
"uh— once you get better." he pretended to ignore the way your body seemed to go slack under him. he repeated, "once you get better, i'm gonna convince franky to make us fireworks. you love those. and- and nami. i'd convince that money-hungry witch to lend me some money so that i can take you out. we will go shopping. you always said you—"
why were you so awfully quiet? usually, you'd talk to the point where he wanted to cut his ear off. now, he wanted to her you. he wanted to hear you call him a moss-head like sanji and he wanted you to laugh when he yelled at luffy for doing something stupid. and—
"—hey?" his voice pitched higher, "please wait, chopper will be back yeah?"
but you didn't even shake your head a weak yes. his shaky fingers reached out to look for your pulse on your neck. it was there. feeble, but there. but for how long?
how long till he lost you?
his throat was closing up, he couldn't breathe. his eyes burned and he was sure he was gonna mark your skin with his own from the way he held onto your wrist.
why won't you talk to him? call out his name, god fucking dammit. nobody called his name the way you did. as if you liked the syllables enough to make a home out of them. nobody smiled at him the way you did. so sweet, too sweet for him. you were everything. even though he was just another wrecked, broken boy with dreams too big for his mortal body, you were everything.
"please," he clutched onto you like a maddening bastard, "please. just hold on, okay?"
but bile seemed to crawl farther up his throat every time you didn't respond. not even a slight glance. not even the movement of a pinky. his fingers checked for your pulse. faint, but there.
and he couldn't hold his words back. he called out your name in a desperate effort to awaken you. water blurred his vision and he blinked it away. his throat was scratchy. too scratchy. and where was chopper?
"i love you." he finally confessed, not thinking much of his words than the fact that he just wanted you to hear them. "i love you so much. i have for so long. i-it wasn't supposed to be like this. i- i was gonna take you out to explore some island. i would have bought you food and called you an idiot when you smiled at me. then— then." he paused, "i would have told you i loved you. you would have said nothing back. and i would have loved even despite that."
he called out your name, sobs racking through his body like accursed symphonies.
"move." chopper was back, in his hand was a ceramic bowl with a green, gooey paste. "go out. i'd call you back, okay?"
if chopped noticed the state zoro was in, he simply chose not to dwell on it. and if zoro had any residual doubts for what kind of a doctor chopper was, he didn't dwell on them either. he caressed your hand one last time and stepped out.
⋆.˚ ᡣ𐭩 .𖥔˚
the swordsman had been pacing around the deck. none of the members were back and it gnawed on his heart. what if they were hurt too? should he go back to see? but how could he leave chopper and you alone here? and what kind of a first mate was he if he cannot even save his own crew?
the world's greatest swordman be damned.
chopper stepped out and zoro looked at the doctor, frantic. chopper gave him a sigh and chased it with a smile, "she's okay."
zoro was not sure if it was the exhaustion, or the relief, or some other feeling his gut had concocted in him without asking. but he crashed down on his knees. his palms felt rough against his face and when he inhaled, he could smell dried blood on them.
"hey." chopper trotted towards him, keeping his paw on the green-haired man's shoulders, "she's okay, really. they missed any vital spots and she didn't lose a lot of blood. she will heal, okay?"
zoro couldn't do anything but just nod along. then, when he had the courage to look away from his hands. he looked at the doctor, finally muttering a faint "thank you."
the reindeer blushed at the compliment, "don't thank me. but you know, once she's better, you should tell her how you feel. this time maybe while she's conscious."
"chopper." the swordsman groaned.
the reindeer shrugged mechanically, "i won't tell anyone what i heard if you promise to take her out on that date."
after much deliberation— having to choose between humiliation at the hand of his crewmates when they discovered his crush or the humiliation from his crush when he finally confessed— he finally gave in. after all, humiliation from one was better than humiliation from seven. especially that fucking cook.
"fine." he grumbled, "i'd take her out."
⋆.˚ ᡣ𐭩 .𖥔˚
it had been two weeks since you were stabbed. well, you didn't talk to anyone about it, really. but when you drifted off into the wicked embrace of sleep, you would be plagued by the memories. and well, a confession.
it's not like you were pretending to be dead!! your body had simply given up. it was exhausted from the fighting and the not-dying. so, when you were laid on chopper's bed to be patched up, your body had gone slack. but just because your body had gone slack doesn't mean you weren't awake.
it had been two weeks and you hadn't told the green-haired asshole what you had heard. why? maybe cause you thought he would make the first move. or maybe because you weren't quite sure if he actually said those things or if you hallucinated it to dilute the pain.
eitherways, seemed like things between you and the mosshead were the same as they were before the incident. and you were really starting to consider the hallucination excuse. but then—
"hey." zoro quipped up as he came to stand beside you. it was cloudy today, the grey skies churning in anticipation of a storm. the winds were unkind and the sea was malevolent. beautiful nonetheless.
"oh hey." you turned and gave him a small smile. you shifted from one feet to another, pretending as if you weren't terrified of the route this conversation might take, "whats up?"
"uh—" he looked back for a spilt-second and you saw— from the corner of your eyes— chopper hidden behind a bunch of boxes, giving zoro his best death glare. zoro sighed, "so, uh, this is random, i think? but when we dock on the next island tomorrow morning. do like... do you want to go see some new sword-cleaning equipment with me?"
you shouldn't have laughed. but you did.
"what's funny?!" his eyes widened and his cheeks were dusted pink.
"no-nothing." you heaved, closing your eyes. "that's the best excuse you could come up with? sword cleaning equipment?"
"what do you mean 'excuse'? i need some equipment!"
"zoro." you forced open your eyes, your smile still frozen over your lips, "if you want to go out on a date with me, you should say that okay?"
his ears went red and he looked away. you were sure if the weather was quiet, you could hear his heart picking up the pace. clearing his throat, he finally asked, "who told you? chopper?"
"no, dummy." you reached your hand out, taking his calloused palm in yours. your thumb rubbed familiar patterns on his hand, "you did."
"me?" he snapped to look back at you, "me?"
you just gave him a grin, "this reminds me, i did promise you i'd try making sake flavoured mochi. i never did. but again, you said you'd ask frankie to make us fireworks and we're still firework-less. but hey, i forgive you if you forgive me okay?"
his head could have burst open from the sheer pressure on his brain but you continued, "but eitherways, what i really mean is that if you said i love you." you stepped a bit closer, "i'd say i love you too."
your hand let go of his and you chose to walk away, leaving him dumbfounded. when his senses came to him, he ran upto you, "YOU HEARD THAT ALL?!"
"all of it."
"ugh."
"heh, it was kinda cute."
"i thought you were dying, woman."
"in a way, we all already are."
"have you been hanging out with robin too much? god, kill me."
"god doesn't need to. you're already dying."
"i want to die faster."
you took his hand back in yours and pulled him towards yourself. pecking his cheek, you said, "no. we still have to go on that date. i mean, if you ever actually ask me."
the flustered mess that was rorononoa zoro just sighed. accepting his fate, he asked, "well, do you wanna go on that date or what?"
you snickered, "i'll think about it"
"do you live to annoy me?"
"maybe. but you love meee."
"i might change my mind after this."
but despite his words, his fingers stayed gently intertwined with yours. hey, maybe getting stabbed in the stomach wasn't all that bad? (jk, it was very very bad)

Heya ^^ ! This is my first time ever making a request so pardon me senpei for any mistake ! =^_^= * blushes * Can you plz plz plz write a scenario about a female reader who is treating and taking care of Zoro/Sanji/Law ? After being exhausted from battle with wounds and high fever and being dizzy .
I've searched a lot about this scenario but no one wrote about it T○T so it will be amazing if you do ♡_♡. Arigatoo senpai ~♡
Hey hey! I picked Zoro from the three, because like, vulnerable Zoro? *drools* …but if I have time I might do the others! I made this a wee bit smutty (ok maybe a lot) but... I hope you still enjoy!
Tender, Loving, Care. (+18)
Pairing: Zoro x afab!reader
Summary: Zoro suffers serious injuries. You provide him comfort in the ways he needs it the most.
Trigger Warnings: sex, injured sex, p in v sex, sponge bath porn?? I didn't proofread this my apologies. <3
You saw him go down. You could tell by the way he wasn’t getting back up that Zoro had been severely injured. You held your breath watching his body in a pile of smoldering rock. He still wasn’t moving.
“Zoro! Zoro you need to get up! Please!”
Still nothing. You started to run towards his body, not caring about the danger around you. You had to get to him. You screamed his name while you were running hoping he would pick up his head. Eventually, after what felt like both an eternity and a single moment, you reached his still body.
“Zoro it’s me, I’m here! See? I’m right here! We’re gonna get you to Chopper and you’re going to be fine!” You lifted his massive shoulders up to try and prop him up on his knees. This was the point where you saw the amount of blood. Maybe he wasn’t going to be fine… no. He had to be okay. There was so much left unsaid between you. He couldn’t go now.
Struggling to hold him up you tried to look his face.
“Please… Zoro… I need you… I need you to be okay…”
Zoro’s swollen eyelids fluttered open.
“Y/n…?”
The tears in your eyes that were welling finally spilled over. “Yeah, it’s me. You’re gonna be okay.”
You barely remember getting him back to the ship. Especially with his condition progressing as much as it was. By the time you had found your other crew mates Zoro’s skin was burning up, you worried his wounds were already getting infected.
You handed his heavy body over to Chopper and an annoyed Sanji, irate that he had been chosen to help carry this green lump back to the ship’s med bay.
“Waisshh…. Y/n? Where’shh y/n going?” Zoro slurred out, eyes darting around in all directions, clearly dizzy with pain and fever.
“If you don’t shut the fuck up, moss head I will drop you on your ass and sail out of here without you.” Sanji bit back.
——
You paced in front of the med bay for an hour biting your nails, waiting for Chopper to come out with news on Zoro’s condition.
Nami popped her head into the hallway.
“You seriously need to chill out before you wear holes in the floor going back and forth like that. He’s gonna pull through, he always does.”
“You don’t know that. You didn’t see how bad it was…” Tears pricked at your eyes again.
“Yeah but it’s Zoro.” Nami made a good point. The man hadn’t become the world’s greatest swordsman, there’s no way his heart would give up on him without achieving it.
She ducked her head back into the hallway and you continued pacing. After a few moments your tiny fluffy doctor came out of the room taking the rubber gloves off his han-… hooves.
“He’s going to live.”
You shakily exhale, finally feeling able to breathe again.
“Luckily I had the type of antibiotics he needed on hand and I was able to suture up the wounds across his chest and clean them up. He’s going to need to rest for awhile but-“ Chopper diligently explained his course of treatment. You interrupted him by scooping up his tiny body and squeezing it.
“Oh thank you so much! You’re the best doctor in the whole world, we’re so lucky to have you!” You set down the reindeer and asked, “Could… could I see him for awhile?”
Still heart-eyed at your praise, he agrees.
“Sure y/n, it might do him some good to have a little company!”
You nod and grab the doorknob and open the door to the med bay. Zoro lay on a hospital bed low to the ground. You barely recognized him under all the gauze bandages, some showing old blood stains. You carefully tread over and kneel beside the bed… You had never seen him so fragile. He was always so forceful, so confident, so unbreakable. But here he was, sweating and wincing in a hospital bed. You were scared that just breathing too hard around him would make his pain worse. You were so mesmerized by his state that when he spoke you jolted upwards.
“Y/n…”
You let out a sigh, “I’m here.”
“You saved me-“ He could barely make out the words, straining for each breath.
You shushed him quickly, “No. No talking. You need to save your energy. Please, just rest.” You reached out and gently placed his bandaged hand in your shaking one. He struggled to get out a protest before lolling back into a deep sleep.
You waited until he started snoring to let go of his hand and head over to the sink and grab a washcloth. You dampened it with cool water and returned to Zoro’s bedside. You spent the next few minutes dabbing the sweat beading his forehead and clearing up patches of blood on his body that Chopper had missed.
You were so worried about him, but you couldn’t help enjoying this intimacy. There had always been something between you and Zoro. Neither of you would ever acknowledge it, but it was clear to everyone that you were special to him and he to you. He always passed the first plate of food to you at dinner (if Luffy didn’t rip it out of his grip), he would stick close by you in difficult fights in case you got into a jam, and he would hold your gaze longer than he would with anyone else.
You slept next to him that night. In fact, you slept next to him every night for the next week. After each long day with your crew, you returned to Zoro’s side, silently switching places with Chopper as his attending. You would freshen his pillows, re-wrap his bandages, all while telling him about your day. Each day his strength grew and he was able to move more and engage in more conversation. He was still too weak to sit up or lift his arms for more than a few moments. After 7 days in the infirmary and however many days before that you had to insist…
“I’m giving you a bath. You smell like literal shit.” You sidle up next to his bed on your knees with a bucket of water and a fluffy sponge.
“The hell you are, woman! You’re going to drop me in the tub and I’ll crack my head open!” Zoro tries to sit up on his elbows.
“I know I would, that’s why I’m going to wash you here.” You begin to soak the sponge and wring it out over the bucket of warm water. "I don’t care what you say, you reek.” You reach your spare hand over his chest and start removing his bandages. You unwrap them to his waist and start moving the damp sponge gently over his broad chest. He let out a hiss at the sudden moisture on his skin. Silently you continue to wash him, nearly knocked backwards when you lifted his massive arms to scrub the pits. After awhile his upper body was sufficiently clean and you moved your position a few feet down on the bed to begin at his lower half.
You felt your breath quicken and your heart start to beat faster. Your intentions were to care for him and his health but you failed to realize this would involve you seeing him completely naked. You hands hover over the bandages on his pelvis before reaching forward.
“Y/n… you really don’t have to…” Zoro protested, his cheeks tinged pink at the awkwardness of the situation and how close you were to touching him there…
“I want to, Zoro, it’s fine. Please just relax. Let me do this for you.”
He flopped his head back onto the hospital bed in frustration, knowing he was far too weak to argue with you or stop you. You hands starting removing the bandages around his lower half, trying not to stare at his penis even thought it was directly in your line of sight.
*hmm… carpet does match the drapes…* You chuckled to yourself. He was impressive, even soft.
His breathing quickened as you starting washing his lower stomach. Trying to stay platonic, you zone out and stare at a point across the room. You slowly moved the sponge in circles, trying to eradicate his body of any filth left behind by fierce battles. You felt something tap the outside of your wrist. You snap out of your focus and realize it was the tip of Zoro’s cock. He had become hard from your hands on him, his huge dick leaking and bobbing up towards his stomach.
You were shocked, your head snapped up towards his face. You felt your face turn red. He felt his cock brush you again and moved his wounded arm to cover his eyes. Zoro groaned into the pit of his elbow.
“I am SO sorry about this y/n… I just can’t help it… You’re just so… you know… ugh” Zoro turns his head to the side to further hide from your gaze.
You couldn’t believe he was like this… so shy and tender in front of you. You decide to push it further.
“I’m so… like what, Zoro? Tell me… You can trust me…” You lower your voice to barely above a whisper. You needed to hear him say it.
“Fuck, y/n…” Zoro still covered his face. “You’re so fucking hot, okay? You’re so pretty. Look at you, beautiful, even? I mean of course you are, I don’t know, okay? And your hands are so soft… and you saved my life, y/n…” He finally moved his arm and turned his head to look at you.
“How could I not feel like this around you?” He finally said.
Your brain went haywire and you could have sworn you blacked out. You jumped up, dropping the sponge back in the bucket and caged in his head with your arms. You met his eyes for a moment, so soft and pleading, unlike anything you’ve ever seen in him. You smashed your lips on his in a frantic kiss. Zoro returned your action as much as he could in his state, not able to move his arms or neck the way he wants. He wishes he could have his hands all over your supple body, round and heavy breasts, your plush ass… But he couldn’t… not tonight at least.
You pulled back from him for a moment to remove your clothes. You were so needy for him that he didn’t even get a chance to enjoy your naked form in full before you jumped back on top of him. Zoro groaned as you slid back and forth across his thick length against his stomach as you worked yourself up on him. You were letting out soft pants, grinding your pussy on his member at a quick pace. As you moved on his body your breasts dangled dangerously close to his face. He was so close to being able to suckle your soft pink nipples, just begging to be kissed, but his injuries wouldn't allow for it. Damn it.
“Slow down woman…” Zoro breathed out, he never suspected you as someone who was so bold sexually. “What are we rushing for? I’m half dead, baby.” Zoro panted out a laugh.
“I-I’m sorry Zoro it’s just I need you so bad… been waiting so long to have you like this… and when I thought I lost you? I-“
Realizing that this situation had affected you greatly as well, he simply must oblige to your needs.
“Okay then, baby, you can have it. Take it. It’s yours.”
You held your hips up and lined his fat cock up with your seeping hole. You sunk down and sighed dreamily as it filled you better than you had ever imagined in your wettest dreams.
“Fuck-“ Zoro groaned and slammed his eyes shut. You cunt was fluttering around him and he thought that was going to be it for him. It was the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen. You had your head thrown back, hair dangling down to your ass, lips parted in an open mouthed slight smile.
“Oh my God Z, why didn’t you say it was this good before?”
Zoro smirked at your praise.
“You never asked.”
You start to bounce up and down shallowly on his cock. The way it was deliciously filling you to the brim each and every time had your head swimming. Your belly was starting to tighten with each bounce and he could feel your pussy gush more and more down his balls.
“You’re close babe, you’re so messy. I had no idea you were such a dirty little girl. You in here every night, taking care of me like you’re so innocent. But really? You wanted to be here riding my cock, huh? Such a perfect, nasty little thing. You wanna cum for me? Make it even messier?”
You had no idea he could be so dirty! He had been barely alive a week ago and now he was reading all your filthiest thoughts through telepathy with his dick buried in your womb.
“Yes please, yes I want to cum please! Wanna make a mess on you, Zoro, please!” You tried to grind yourself to your own release, but you felt two large scarred hands grab your waist. Zoro was using what little strength he had left in his body to push you down further on his cock and grind it into your sweet spot.
“Oh my god I’m gonna-!” You scream. The pressure releases and your pussy rapidly spasms, each bringing you a wave of pleasure as you gush onto Zoro’s pelvis. Zoro never lets go of your hips, wanting to make sure he is working you through your full orgasm.
“There it is baby, I know,” He coos at you as he grinds your body into him frantically. You were whining incoherently. “I know baby, I need it too, I’m almost there… fuck, y/n”
Zoro groans as he pumps your body full of his cum. He was gasping for air, he had never cum like this before.
He looses his grip on your waist and you fall towards him, landing on his huge chest. He splays his arms out as his sides and you wrap your arms around him. Both of your chests were heaving. After a few moments Zoro looks down.
“Fuck… I think one off my wounds opened up…” He touched his chest and brought his fingers up to his face. “Shit…”
You were immediately brought out of your post coital bliss and jumped up to grab your clothes.
“There’s no time for that! What if I die here!” Zoro shouted at you.
“Oh you’ll be fine! And I am NOT explaining to Chopper why I’m leaving this room naked! And frankly, you better not either.” You snap back at him.
“Fair…”
“I’ll be right back.” You say as you finally pull your shirt over your head. You reach for the doorknob and pull the door open to leave.
“Oh hey y/n?” Zoro hollers at you from the bed in the center of the room.
“Yeah?” You respond.
“Love you.”
You smile back at him.
“Love you too.

𖤐⭒๋࣭ ⭑ FIX THIS FIXER UPPER - YJW
🍀 now playing - fixer upper from disney's Frozen 🍀 contents - frozen au, from the fairytales collection - click on my masterlist for Hoon's version!! implied cheating (cuz of the hans fiance), light angst, emotionally constipated jungwon, implied kissing 🍀 wc - 1.1K 🍀 a/n - kristoff lowkey underrated as hell icl, might make a part 2 :p
masterlist
We're not sayin' you can change him 'Cause people don't really change We're only saying that love's a force That's powerful and strange
The ice in your heart is spreading and not only you, but even Jungwon is acutely aware of this fact, as his fingers dig into the reins of his reindeer. He knew as soon as you emerged from your older sister’s ice castle, shivering uncannily, that something was wrong. Not that shivering in July was anything odd - not with the predicament Arendelle was under. But it was the way your eyes were downcast and you were clutching your chest that sent a sense of emergency through him, and he knew only his adoptive grandfather - the Elder Troll would have the solution to their problem. The way the reindeer’s eyes would flit back to him, questioningly, made him remember how he was breaching all of his rules of getting close to others just for this princess - a princess who was already engaged, nonetheless.
You were unimpressed as he stood in the middle of the clearing in the woods, surrounded only by some moss covered rocks. All your years of isolation did have you a bit clueless about the world around you, outside the vast castle that often seemed like prison than home. But you knew for a fact that moss covered rocks wouldn’t be able to thaw your heart. That was until the rocks began rumbling eerily, and tumbled down all at once, grindingly as they morphed into little creatures about a foot tall near yours and Jungwon’s legs. Several pairs of eyes blinked at you both, and then broke into a cacophony of voices and exclamations. “Jungwon’s back!” “Jungwon’s back and he brought a girl!”, were the common phrases being gleefully yelled by the trolls around you.
Jungwon and you were similar in the way you both were raised, in the sense of your shared loneliness. While being shut away in the palace due to your sister’s powers made you desperate for any sort of experience, Jungwon’s childhood with the trolls made him averse to people. But you both craved a little bit of love. And up till now you believed you had found it in the princely fiance you had waiting back for you at home. “Oh, I’m so happy to meet you dear! Gosh, we thought Wonie here would turn into a rock himself the way he hasn’t met anyone in all these years we’ve had him!”, said a troll with a kindly, motherly face. From the fond way she spoke about him, you could tell this was the troll that had adopted the role of being Jungwon’s mother. “Sorry, what?” you puzzled yourself. And the trolls who had obviously misread the situation seemed to understand this too.
“Come on dear, I know he’s not the best, but he’s just a bit of a fixer upper!”. “Is it because of his cat-like tendencies?”. It seemed that the trolls had begun a musical recitation of all the ways Jungwon was a bit different than the rest, and Jungwon just stood there absolutely mortified.
“I bet it’s because of the way he always has twigs in his hair!”, “But you’ll never meet someone as sensitive and sweet.”, cooed a smaller troll. “He’s socially impaired!”, a gruff voice cut in, fondly ruffling his hair, “But a fixer upper is nothing love can’t fix!”.
And between the voices singing and the way your amused grin grew larger, Jungwon cried out with a large cry, “Enough!”. This made the trolls stop mid-movement, shocked at this outburst. “She’s engaged to someone else!”, he explained with a huff of his breath.
Blink. Blink.
The trolls gathered in a circle amongst themselves, the little snowman you both had managed to befriend along the way joining in on the shenanigans for no reason other than entertainment.
“So she’s a bit of a fixer upper too, I see”, said one of the trolls, and immediately the one opposite him replied, “She’s gotta be fixed up too!”, the rest agreed. Discussions in hushed whispers continued, still agreeing that the best way to fix these fixer uppers was with each other, until the smallest of the lot cut in with his nasally voice and a wink, “And by the way, there’s no ring”. The flurry of moss-woven blankets and the crowns fashioned of sticks was hurriedly put on the both of you, happening so fast that Jungwon couldn’t stop them. And just like that you giggled at the way he stood opposite you in the pit holed into the ground, the way his eyes widened in surprise. The giggle caught his attention, which made his gaze soften. He had indulged himself enough, but couldn’t bear to stop. The glowing gemstones made your complexion seem more ethereal than normal. The pit was rather small, and he was backed into his heels, your toes touching the tips of his snow boots. He was absolutely enraptured. In true love almost. It seemed that something possessed the both of you, the way he bent his neck just to be a little closer to where your lips were, soft and inviting. And you couldn’t find it in yourself to move away, any thought of the man you’d just met before you'd set off on this adventure with Jungwon disappearing from your brain. Sure he was wonderful. But you’d only known him for a day. But Jungwon, whom you’d known for a week now, still had so many layers to him that you wanted to peel back individually and unravel to learn. His eyes are dangerously low on your face, and you’re not any better. The trolls harmonizing behind you were counting down to when the thread holding you both back would just snap. Then, it did. He smells of pine, you thought, and he was losing his mind in the strawberry in your breath that he was sure he could taste if he just moved half an inch more. The sharp pain in your heart was so intense it had you buckling at the knees, making Jungwon deftly catch you in concern. Clutching your chest, a heavier rolling sound of stone made you both look to where the Elder Troll, who was awoken by the thrumming of magic, had appeared. Explaining the severity of your condition, and how the ice in your heart would have you frozen to death made Jungwon nervous. He couldn’t even fathom losing you like that, irregardless of how short of a time you’d known each other. He was sure that for you, he was ready to brave any snow storm. “And how do we stop it?”, he asked urgently, ready to do anything to have the cold in your heart to melt and for you to be better again. “Only an act of true love can thaw a frozen heart.” Grandpabby said reverently. And Jungwon could almost feel his own heart freeze in a painful squeeze as you uttered your fiance’s name in a breath of cold air.

One Piece - Warrior Cats AU, but it's a post-apo world with cats playing pirates to replace humans; here's the strawhats first!
Finally made small clean designs of the ideas i had for months haha- Not sure who i'll make next but there's so many characters i want to draw as cats hehe (i can take suggestions)
got some notes under cut
Monkeydawn: can't remember why i made him a colour point- Warrior cat names are a pirate thing, and Dawn is exclusive to the Ds. The ribbon is basically the strawhat here, given by Redscar (i didn't like the look of hats on cats-). Leader of Strawclan but he's bad at names so everyone named themselves
Mossthorn: gray oriental cat. Formerly named Thorn the Fox, Moss is a joke from Snail but also his favorite colour so- He's Clan deputy and a knife wielder, the harness is to keep them on his back.
Waveberry: long hair calico cat. Formerly named Wave, and was Wavestorm in the fishcats' clan. Berries are still a currency here but it sounded better than trying to fit Tangerine in her name. First warrior of the clan and terrain painter. Oh and there's Cloudstar too (names in -star are deities names)
Pebbleflight: black tabby cat. Formerly Pebble and had too many ideas for his pirate name. He grows poisonous plants for projectiles. Wanted as Flyingspark and then Pebblestar (he also has a star on his forehead like WC leaders have in fanarts!)
Snailswirl: Turkish van. Snail is a name he was given by Redleg (such a joke for a french cook but i love it), and Swirl is a joke from Moss. He's both a warrior and a med cat, his cooking experiments helping with faster recoveries.
Antlerfall: Neko no mi, model: lynx. Was named like a pirate by med cat Cherrytree, as his antlers disappear in his full lynx form. He's actually taller than most of the crew in all his forms. The one and only med reindeer !
Ravenbloom: russian blue. Went by the name Newmoon in Baroque Works, and is wanted as "Devilkit". She took back her childhood name Raven when joining the clan. Six legged most of the time because come on it's useful. Studies the extinction of humans (the existence of humans is still to be proven)
Blueflame: blue Mainecoon. Formerly named Littleflame, and renamed Blue by Iceberg, mixed both names when joining the crew. Lost his tail and badly injured his paws in the train accident, so the cyborg part is more like an exoskeleton. And hey, being six legged is fun. Assigned builder of the crew.
Whalesong: Siberian cat. Had his name from the black and white pattern of his fur making him look like an orca, and it fits with Laboon! So yes he is wearing his own fur because of course. His soul form also look like a typical starclan spirit fanarts, and starclan is an old pirate legend here.
Sharkstrike: fishcat! I'm so close to make a whole speculative evolution project about fishcats, but basically, they are cats if they had taken the same evolutionary path as whales. He's not a shark, he's still "just" a cat, but most fishcats are named after sea creatures.

I’ve been wondering does Zosan x reader kids ever ask them if Chopper is their big brother? And if they say he’s not quite that he’s a value member of the crew, so the kids ask why they don’t adopt him since he seems to be closer to them, especially to Zoro and because Chopper either runs to him, Sanji, or reader when something happens?
I mean look at this baby!! Who wouldn’t want to adopt him right away?! 🥹🥰
Oh Chopper my sweet baby boy. I'm so happy to do this, I took some creative liberties with it though so i hope you don't mind.
Reader is Female (Sorry), Zoro X Sanji X Reader, Poly relationship, established relationship. Their daughter is Kuina a 5 year old blonde haired girl with Sanji's eyebrows but reader's eye's and skin tone.
Warning: bad language, Hurt/comfort and Fluff.
Luckily for the blonde haired girl she managed to avoid all three of her parents on the way into the medical office, she scrapped her knee while running around with Luffy and Usopp, she didn't tell the two about it, just that she was tired. Kuina knows they'll tell her parents who will react like they always do, her blonde daddy will freak out and fuss over her, her moss headed dad will glare mainly at uncle nose for letting it happen while her mother will try and control the situation all while trying to comfort her daughter. It doesn't matter if its a broken bone or a simple cut, she finds they overreact too much, Chopper on the other hand doesn't, he just deals with the problem. After cleaning out the cut and putting a band aid on it Kuina was good to go, with a large smile she jumps off the chair and hugs the doctor "Thanks Brother, i'm gonna go play now, do you want to join?" She asks pulling away to see the reindeer's wide eye'd expression, its true she see's him as a bother, but she's never called him that before, her smile drops at his face going from shocked to sad. "Kuina, I'm not your brother" Chopper states not knowing how to deal with the situation, Kuina looks at him confused before grabbing his hand and stepping closer "Not by blood but i think of you as my brother, Mum, Dad and Daddy also treat you like your theirs too so... can't we be siblings?" She asks with hope in her voice but Chopper sighs and leads her over to the chair getting her to sit down, so he can explain things to her. "They only treat me that way because other than you, i'm the youngest of the crew, In their eyes i'm a child but not their child"
Kuina sinks into her chair feeling slightly deflated by his words but shakes her head "That's not true, they treat you like they treat me." She tries to make him see it her way but Chopper hops up onto the chair in front of her holding her hands tight "Do you have parents? is that why we can't be siblings?" She asks trying to understand, the doctor looks up surprised at her words but decides to tell her hoping she will understand "I do but… you see before i ate the devil fruit i was just a normal deer but after, my parents and my herd didn't recognize me, they sore me as a monster, they hurt me and cast me out. The towns people also sore me as a monster, if it weren't for Dr Hiriluk and Dr Kureha i would have been alone. When i joined the crew i didn't fully trust them but over time i have come to see them as family but" Chopper stops for a second letting out a sigh, Kuina leans in squeezing his hand as her eyes tear up, she can't image anyone treating Chopper that "Kuina, its ok if you see me as a brother but I'd rather you not call me that out in the open, i don't want you parents to be forced into looking after me like i'm their kid. I do love them a lot and go to them when ever i need something but your their child… I'm not, being treated like their child is very different from being their actual child" The doctor tried to be open and honest even though it hurts him to say all this, of course he see's her three parents as parental figures, but they have Kuina to take care of, she's their flesh and blood not him.
The young girl tears up at his words before leaping forwards to hug her fuzzy brother, she still didn't fully understand, but she knows not to push him into anything although there is one thing she has to ask "They could adopt you? then you would be their real child" Chopper sighs at her words holding her tighter while rubbing her back "That's up to them not up to me" His voice sounds so sad but it wasn't a no, Kuina was now determined to find a way around this and to make him happy, at the moment though she doesn't know what to tell him, a part of her wanted to tell him to shut up and ignore all that silly stuff while the other part of her remembers what her Mother and Luffy would say. "I don't like the way you think but I'll respect your destitution" She whispers to him soon feeling the reindeer hug back slight tears welling up in his eyes. Kuina knows what she has to do, in order to understand she needs to take a note from her auntie Robin, gather as much information as possible not only to learn more and understand the situation but also how to go about things. She wants Chopper to feel the love she gets from her parents and to have a family who won't kick him aside, of course the crew is family but being able to call someone mum or dad can maybe help heal old wounds or make the future brighter. Pulling away from the hug Kuina smiles brightly at her fluffy brother while patting him on the head "Thanks for helping me out Teddy, I'll see you later ok" The young girl smiles wide before running out of the medical room before he can stop her.
The first person Kuina runs too is her Mother since she didn't want to walk out of the medical room into the kitchen, she knows that her blonde farther will be all over her with questions and looking her over for any kind of cut or bruise. Running across the deck and to the bedroom's she smiles upon hearing her Mothers humming coming from the bedroom. Putting the cover back on the bed your startled by Kuina's sudden voice right behind you "Mum, can i ask you something?" Jumping you place a hand over your heart while turning to face the young girl "Kuina! You get snakier everyday... what do you need sweetie?" You bend down picking your little girl up and place her on the freshly made bed, your proud that your daughter can sneak up on you but it also concerns you a little. "Would you ever consider adopting Chopper?" Kuina asks letting her legs sway a little while sitting on the bed, your eyes widen at her question but you manage to compose yourself enough to try and think of a coherent answer. "I've never really thought about it before... Why are you asking sweetie?" You ask hoping to find out why she suddenly has this idea in her head, shifting a bit Kuina looks down at her fiddling hands as you kneel down to be eye level with her "You, Dad and Daddy always treat him like your child and i see him as a brother so i was wondering why not adopt him, so he can officially be a part of our family" Understanding now you can't help but smile and let out a small laugh catching your daughter off guard. "I'm sorry sweetie but i would have to adopt the whole crew one way or another since i see them as family too. I see Nami as my sister and Jinbe as my uncle." You try to explain.
Kuina sighs while pushing her self foreword to get a little closer, her eyes seem sad which makes your heart break so before she can speak you take her hand in yours while the other goes to her cheek "Just because he's not officially family doesn't mean you can't think of him as your brother. I do think of him as my child, i love him like i love you but adopting him is something very different, he's his own person, and he's never shown an interest in having a parental figure. Either way i will always be there for him and i will always be there of you." Your words make Kuina nod understanding your point of view on things but there was still something else she has to ask. "Mom, What if.. What if Chopper wants you to adopt him?" Kuina asks looking up from her hands and into her Mothers eyes which soften slightly but their also kinda sad, you hate seeing your daughter upset but you can't sugar coat things for her. "Well if that were the case then me and your farther's would have to talk about it, and then we would have to talk about it with Chopper to see if he really wants it." You give your honest answer which the young girl nods at before pulling you into a hug, with a smile you hug back while rubbing her back "Thanks Mum, i think i understand now... I love you" Kuina smiles pulling away from the hug so you can cup her face basking in her beautiful smile " i love you too sweetie, I've got to get back to cleaning before dinner, ok" You state standing back up and letting your daughter jump off the bed and run out the door leaving you to clean the rest of the room.
The second person Kuina goes too is her green haired dad who she knows will be training in the crows nest, making her way up the ladder she pushes open the hatch, the sound of clinking mental and huffs of her farther fill the room as the young girl slips through the hatch. Zoro holds a large weight over his head while doing lunges, his daughter knows well enough to stay away while he's working out so takes a few steps back before calling out to him "Dad" Her little voice hits his ears making the swordsman smirk turning his head to the side as he stands up straight "What's up baby girl?" He asks placing his large weight down before grabbing a towel to wipe his hand and face "I wanted to ask you something" She calls out staying where she is until her Farther says otherwise, just because the weight is down it doesn't mean the area is safe for her. Wrapping the towel around his shoulders Zoro walks over to his daughter with a raised eyebrow which tells her to go on "Would you ever consider adopting Chopper?" Kuina asks looking up at her suddenly frozen farther, Zoro had to process her words for a second since it caught him off guard, its only when his daughter touches his hand that the swordsman snaps out of it. Zoro sighs and sits down cross-legged on the floor before pulling his daughter onto his lap "What's going on?" The swordsman asks giving his daughter a stern look wanting her to tell him exactly what's going on in her head. Leaning into her dad the swordsman wraps his arms around her knowing what ever is troubling her is making the young girl sad. "I see Chopper as my Brother but when i called him that he.. He said not to call him that, not because it makes him uncomfortable but because he's not your child. Even though you treat him like your own Chopper doesn't see himself as a part of our family but i want him to be"
With a sigh Zoro rubs her back unsure how to answer this but his daughter came to him for a reason instead of you or Sanji, so he feels like he has to answer in some way. "Baby girl, It's ok if you see Chopper as a brother and its true we treat him like a child at times, i am a little protective over him-" Kuina pulls away to give her farther a deadpan look making the swordsman glare down at his daughter "More than a little" Zoro can't help but let out a small laugh at her words before ruffling her blonde hair "I love Chopper like i love you and want both of you to be safe, i will always treat him that way and consider him family but" Zoro pauses for a second trying to choose his next words wisely while his daughter weights patiently for him, it takes a while but soon he manages to find the words "Chopper is a part of our family no matter what, but adopting him is a tricky subject since its not only a big destitution for us and Chopper to make but as well... Chopper is his own person, its down to him what he wants, if he wanted to be adopted then me, your mum and your dad will have to talk about things before we do anything else." Zoro sighs hoping his answer was good enough while pulling the young girl into his chest for a tight hug, Kuina hugs back with a smile starting to see a pattern forming but there's still one more person to talk too. "Thanks Dad, I love you" Kuina pulls away to look up at her farther with a big smile before stepping off his lap, the swordsman gives her a small smile back before ruffling her hair making the young girl giggle "I love you too, Baby girl" He calls out as the blonde girl runs to the hatch to head back down onto the deck.
The last person to talk too was her blonde farther so Kuina heads to the kitchen, its almost dinner time, so he'll still be cooking but her hope is Uncle Luffy won't be in there bothering him. Luckily when she opens the door its just her dad in the kitchen, Sanji looks up from the pot he's steering to see his daughter make his way over to him "My sweet girl, what do i owe the please" The cook smiles wide walking over to his daughter who holds her arms out for a hug "I want to ask you something" She states as her dad happily picks his daughter up holding the young girl close as he makes his way back over to the stove starting to steer the pot again "Of course my angel" Sanji places a kiss on her head holding her with one arm as he turns the heat down on the cooker "Would you ever consider adopting Chopper?" She asks but isn't surprised to see a shocked look cover his face, the cook gulps his mind running with answers and questions of his own, but he soon manages to shake his head and put Kuina down "I- Urm... I've never thought about it before" Sanji pulls over a chopping board with a small knife starting to chop up stuff for a salad, Kuina tilts her head to the side worried by her farther's reaction, but she pushes over a stool to stand on. Stepping up she places her hand on her farther's arm getting him to look at her "I'm sorry if i made you upset" Sanji's eyes soften at her words, putting down the knife he turns to his daughter and cups her face while placing a light kiss on her forehead "You didn't upset me, you just caught me off guard. Can i ask what made you think of this?" The cook asks pulling away from his daughter who nods at him.
Kuina tries her best to explain while pulling over the cutting board and knife wanting her help her farther cook, Sanji lets her do the salad as he tents to the other pots and food in the oven "I called Chopper Brother today, i see him as my brother, but he got really upset when i called him that. He told me about his family and that he doesn't want to you, mum and dad to feel forced into looking after him like he's your child if i call him brother around you. I tried to explain that you, mum and dad treat him like he's your child already but... I just thought maybe adopting him would make him feel more like family" Nodding Sanji stands next to her while steering the pot understanding a bit more now, "I'm glad you see him as family but you shouldn't push him into anything. Your such a sweet heart but some times pushing someone to make them happy doesn't always work, in fact it can make them sadder" The cook turns to his daughter not wanting to hurt her but also wanting her to know the truth, pushing some hair out of her face Sanji tries his best to make her understand Choppers side of things "Being abandoned by family is hard, its takes a long time to recover and to find something that fills that hole, I'd like to think the crew has filled that hole. Your right in saying that i treat Chopper like my own and its because i love him like he's my child but no one should force him into feeling the same way. I know it upsets you sweetie, seeing him sad but you can't force him to be happy" Kuina looks up at her farther with teary eyes while putting down the knife, she wants Chopper to be happy but maybe she'll do more harm than good if she pushes it.
Either way she still needs to know if they would adopt him if the reindeer wanted them too "W-what if he wants to be adopted, to be a part of our family but is too shy to ask?" She asks while rubbing her eye to try and stop the tears from falling, Sanji's heart breaks at seeing his little girl about to cry so quickly picks her up pulling the young girl into a tight hug "We'll if he does want to be adopted them we would have to discuss it as a family first, make sure everyone is on the same page, if he's too shy to ask then there's noting we can do other than wait until he's ready to ask. There's also the matter of paperwork which we wouldn't be able to do since were pirates so it would be more of a verbal adoption than an official one" Sanji sighs rubbing Kuina's back as she clings onto him while burring her head on his neck, she didn't know what to say, the plan she had has gone out the window and now she just feels helpless at the fact her furry brother doesn't feel like a part of their family even though her and her parents love him and want him to be a part of it. Sanji tries to sooth the little girl as tears start falling down her cheeks, he hates breaking her heart, but he can't lie to her, the door to the kitchen opens making the cook growl slightly about to yell at Luffy or who ever is about to walk in only to see you and Zoro walk on with very confused faces. On the way to the kitchen you spotted Zoro coming down from the crows nest so you waited for him hoping to talk about Kuina and her strange question only for the swordsman to beat you too it. The two of you had a talk about it but it only made the two of you even more confused so decided to head to the kitchen wondering if she's also talked to Sanji.
Kuina sniffles before pulling her head away form her blonde farther's shoulder to see who opened the door, upon seeing her tear stained face you run over to see if she's ok "Oh sweetie what's the matter?" you ask as Zoro quickly walks over his aura was more murderess than it was concerned, all he needed to know was who. "It's ok, she's not you" Sanji calmly states mainly looking at the swordsman hoping to stop that heavy aura the moss head is letting out "I'm sorry, i just want Chopper to be happy" Kuina lets out while trying to wipe her tears away, sighing you now understand she's asked all her parents the same thing, Zoro calms down when hearing this so takes a stop forward and places a hand on his daughters head "You could have just asked us all together, why separately?" The swordsman asks as the little girls starts to calm down "I-i wanted to get your separate opinions so i could make a plan but... I don't know what to do now, I want Chopper to be happy and i know i can't force it but its clear you all love him like your own and treat him like your own, but he doesn't see that. When i mentioned adoption to him he didn't say no and i could see how upset he was when talking about how he's not your child but i that could be changed " She starts to tear up again making Sanji sigh and hold his daughter closer as you brush some hair out of her face prompting her to go on. "I know i can't force him into anything and that its his chose but his own fears and worries are stopping him from saying what he wants to say. I want him to feel the love that you give me, i want him to have a family that loves him and won't abandon him. We can be that family but no one is willing to make the first move to ask, Chopper won't ask because he's scared and you won't ask because its up to Chopper so we're at a stand still"
Your heart breaks for your daughter, all three of you may have given different answers but in the end you all agree that its up to Chopper what he wants. The short silence is soon filled by loud crying but its not coming form your daughter, Chopper runs out of the medical room and into the kitchen his eyes filled with tears as he runs to cling onto Sanji's leg since he can't get to Kuina in his arms. Kuina's eyes widen at seeing her fluffy brother crying while trying to say something but it sounds more like babbling, the cook sighs placing a hand on Choppers head trying to calm him as Zoro sighs bending down to pull the reindeer of Sanji's leg "Chopper Honey" You sigh bending down to try and see his face "I-i love you too" Chopper calls out making your heart melt, Zoro manages to get the doctor off Sanji's leg as the cook puts Kuina down letting the young girl hug Chopper who happily hugs back crying into her shoulder. Thinking for a second you grab Zoro and Sanji's arms then gesture over to the pantry with a nod, knowing the three of you need to talk you all make your away into the pantry to have a privet conversation while Kuina sooth's Chopper. "So i'm guessing she asked you two as well" Sanji sighs while looking over to his daughter, nodding Zoro crosses his arms over his chest "You think we fucked up?" the green haired man asks but you shake your head with a small smile "No, we all have our own opinions on it and i'm glad she still came to her own consultation of not wanting to give up." Your proud of the girl you've raised, she has Sanji's kind heart, Zoro's courage and your understanding, a perfect mix.
Sanji takes your hand pulling you into him while the other takes Zoro's hand doing the same "I know we can't do the paperwork but .. Do you want to adopt Chopper?" The cook asks with a small smile already knowing his own answer, looking from Sanji to Zoro you nod, with a smirk the swordsman wraps his arm around your waist while looking between his two partners "Well i already see him as my son so of course" Zoro grins looking you over before turning to the cook who nods leaning up and placing a kiss on the swordsman's lips "Well lets see what he thinks" Sanji's beautiful smile grows on his face as he leans over to place a kiss on your lips, happily kissing back Zoro bends down placing a kiss on your cheek, pulling away from the cook you look up at the green haired man and place a kiss on his lips which he leans into. With the three of you in agreement you all head out of the pantry and over to Kuina and Chopper, the young girl has manages to calm the reindeer down as she rubs his arms while he wipes his face. "Chopper" You smile getting the doctor to look up at you "We wanted to ask you something" Zoro smirks placing an arm around your shoulder as Sanji takes your hand "We love you a lot, and we already consider you a part of our family, but we were hoping that maybe we could make it official" The cook gulps getting kind of nervous.
Squeezing his hand you decide to continue for him "Chopper, Would you like us to adopt you?" You ask watching as the doctor's eyes widen in shock but a big smile forms on his face "Yes please" He calls out running up to the three of you with his arms wide open. The three of you bend down letting Chopper jump into your arms, happy tears fall down his fluffy face that Sanji brushes away, Zoro looks over at Kuina who's smiling wide but her eyes are filling with tears, opening his arm for her the young girl runs into her dads arms joining in the hug. "See i told you... Your a part of our family Brother" Kuina calls out putting one arm around Chopper to hug him "I love you all so much, thank you" The doctor cry's out suddenly turning to hug the young girl and cry into her shoulder again "Thank you Kuina.. I love you sister" Kuina can't help but let some happy tears fall as he hugs the reindeer back shoving her head into his shoulder, she's beyond happy that the person she thinks of as a brother is now actually her brother., he'll be happy and loved now, he'll be looked after like she is and have someone to go to that he can call mum, dad or sister. With a laugh Zoro pat their heads glad to see his little girl happy again and to have Chopper officially be his son. Sanji wipes a tear away form his eye trying not to cry as he watches his two kids hug each other, he always wanted a loving family, but he didn't think it would ever be this loving, either way he's so glad for it. Placing a hand on your heart you watch the two kids with a smile, your so lucky to have them in your life and to have them grow up under your watch.

head pats and naps (zoro x reader)
Summary: Chopper loves his head pats.
As it turns out, a certain grumpy swordsman does too.
Rating: G
A/N: Just a short drabble of zoro getting jealous of a little blue-nosed reindeer.
***
Tony Tony Chopper, aka not the crew’s pet, loved to be pet.
You indulged the little reindeer often, although it was more of an excuse for yourself to pat his head and run your fingers through his soft fur. Chopper would pretend to hate it, but he would never put up much of a fight when you picked him up and set him in your lap to hug him and continue patting his head.
It wouldn't take long for both of you to doze off at the same time, and that was often how you spent your peaceful afternoons aboard the Sunny.
You didn’t really know how or when it started, but after a while you began to notice a certain green-haired pirate hanging around you and Chopper from a distance. You would spy him from the corner of your eye while you enjoyed a snack with the reindeer, staring at the both of you from the shadows but never uttering a word. You wondered if Zoro felt sort of left out; it was clear to anyone with eyes that he enjoyed Chopper’s company too, always looking out for him like an older brother would.
Without putting much thought into it, you invited Zoro to join in on the cosy afternoon activities one day. It would be selfish to hog Chopper all to yourself, after all.
Except, Zoro didn’t really take Chopper away from you. Instead, he simply took up more space, laying his head in your lap while you slept with Chopper right by your side, or resting his head on your shoulder while your fingers began combing through Chopper’s fur as usual.
It happened only once; when out of curiosity you wondered what Zoro’s hair felt like. Sanji’s constant name calling of him as a “mosshead” had made you actually think that his green hair might have a similar texture.
To your surprise, Zoro’s hair was… spiky. Not very moss-like, and also not the softest — because no one could measure up to Chopper in your opinion — but you had continued running your fingers through his hair anyway, because for some reason it felt like he was leaning into your touch.
One time became two, and two became three, and soon you found that your peaceful afternoons had grown to consist of you petting two crewmates who equally enjoyed head pats and naps.
It was a change that you didn’t mind one bit.

when you tell them you're half demon. [GN Reader].
Summary: you tell them your biggest secret: you are half demon.
Characters: Luffy and Sanji.
Luffy
you joined Luffy's crew and got close enough to him to reveal your secret, you know he would never judge you, like he literally accepted a reindeer, a pervert, a moss-head and a skeleton in his crew so maybe he doesn't mind a demon.
when you told him you're half demon he thought it was the coolest thing in the world, his eyes literally lit up with curiosity.
when you showed him your demon form, Luffy wasn't afraid, he actually got very curious and excited.
he likes to play with your tail and your horns, you also have wings so Luffy will always jump on your back asking you to fly with him.
Luffy encourages you to show your true form to the rest of the crew, assuring you that they won't be scared (except Usopp), but in any case he will defend you saying that it doesn't matter if you are a human or a demon, you're still their nakama.
on the battlefield, Luffy couldn't help but be impressed by your demon powers and feeling lucky to have someone like you on his crew.
Sanji
you were scared as hell to show your true form to Sanji.
he's so kind and sweet to you, but you're afraid thinking that it's just because he likes your human appearance.
you always wanted to tell Sanji the truth about you but at the last second you always gave up, afraid of losing his love.
Sanji suspected that you wanted to say something to him but chose not to pressure you into anything and respect your time.
one day Sanji got injured in a battle and you got so furious seeing your lover being injured that you accidentally revealed your demon form.
After you destroyed all the enemies, you didn't even have the courage to look Sanji in the face and tried to run away.
Sanji holds your hand gently so you don't run away from him and lifts your face so you can look him in the eyes.
he knows his lover better than anyone, and he deduced that's what you've been wanting to reveal to him these past few days.
Sanji claims you were a fool to think he would stop loving you, demon or human you will always be his precious darling.
nothing has changed after Sanji found out the truth about you, in fact he is more in love with you than ever.

Omg I’m alive
Here you go @221bloggergirl221
Take Care
Sanji woke up with excruciating pain, everywhere. The sun blared down at him and he grimaced. Rolling onto his side he cracked his eyes open, trying to get his barrings.
He tried to remember the last thing that had happened before he blacked out. He looked up and saw the rest of his crew lying down, passed out. Everyone except— “Zoro.”
Sanji shot up and ignored the pain screaming at him. He scanned the battle field full of rubble and bodies. With no luck finding the ball of moss he started running. He needed to find him, that bastard couldn’t have died.
The pressure in his lungs stung as he ran, but he ignored it. Jumping over fallen rocks. his legs shook. He kept running until he saw Zoro’s peculiar green hair.
He paused and stared at him. His arms were crossed, body standing tall, clothes torn and ripped, blood all around him.
Sanji gasped quietly and approached him. Kuma didn’t seem to be anywhere in sight, “What happened?”
Zoro didn’t move, he just kept standing firm and tall, “Nothing happened.”
Sanji was about to respond with an angry retort but before he could he saw it. The break in Zoro’s demeanor. The slight tremble of his legs.
He quickly ran over to him and caught his bloody body before it hit the ground. Zoro’s face looked pained, even more than after his fight with Mihawk.
“You dumb idiot.” Sanji whispered before scooping him up in his arms bridal style.
He walked over to his other crew mates. They seemed to be coming to. They sat up grimacing in the light just as Sanji did before. All were rubbing their bodies, trying to soothe the aches that were there.
Except for Luffy, he was jumping up and down yelling about how he didn’t have any pain. Sanji’s eyes narrowed as he thought about how much pain Zoro must be in and how their idiot captain is shoving his painlessness in their faces.
Sanji held Zoro closer to his body so he could here the small breaths Zoro was taking. He trekked towards the castle. One of the rooms seemed to still be intact and Sanji thought it would be a good place for Zoro to rest and get treatment. Sunny was too far away and Zoro needed care now.
“Chopper!” Sanji yelled as he passed the little reindeer who was already starting to patch up Usopp.
Chopper looked up and wailed, “Sanji! Is Zoro okay? Is he alive?! What happened!”
“I don’t know, but he is breathing. Please take him inside and treat him.”
Chopper switched to his human form and grabbed Zoro from Sanji, “Right! Can you go to Sunny and get extra supplies for me? I have enough to treat Zoro but not enough for this battlefield.”
Sanji nodded and Chopper ran off inside the building with Zoro in his arms. He sighed and lit a cigarette, the sweet smoke filling his lungs. He went over to his crew first, making sure his ladies were okay. Robin was helping Nami stand up. They seemed to have minor injuries.
“Are you ladies alright? Need anything from Sunny?” Sanji asked them sweetly.
Nami and Robin turned to him, eyes widening at his injured state. “Sanji-kun…you need to see Chopper.”
Sanji smiled, “I appreciate your worry mademoiselle, but I can assure you that Chopper has some great priorities right now. And you two must be treated before me. I am actually on a mission from our dear doctor getting more supplies.”
Nami and Robin turned to each other before looking back towards Sanji, “Maybe some clothes would be nice, cook-san.”
“As you wish, my loves!” Sanji bowed before making his way to the Sunny.
. . .
Everyone was treated and the post battle glory emanated throughout the room. Brook riled up the crowd as he shared Bink’s Sake with everyone.
Sanji smiled and looked back to the meal he was making. Most everything had already gone out to everyone but he had one last one to make. With some seafood Sanji finished the plate and brought it over to the one he made it for.
Zoro was lying on a makeshift bed at the back of the room. He was covered in bandages like a mummy. Sanji placed the plate on the table next to Zoro before kneeling down next to his bed.
“Marimo,” He whispered.
Zoro stirred a bit but didn’t open his eyes.
Sanji looked behind him to make sure no one was watching them. He gently ran a hand through Zoro’s hair, trying to coarse him to wake, “Marimooo.”
Zoro’s face contorted and he cracked his left eye open slightly. He blinked his eyes before looking up at Sanji, “Cook?”
“How are you feeling?” Sanji asked as he pulled up a chair next to him.
Zoro grumbled and tried to sit up, hissing in pain. Sanji grabbed his arm softly and helped him. Zoro looked at Sanji angrily but didn’t pull away.
Now upright against the pillows, Zoro looked down at himself, “Shit.”
“Yeah you got your ass beat, hard.” Sanji smirked.
“Shove it, shit cook! It was so I could save your lousy ass!” Zoro growled at him.
Sanji rolled his eyes, “And look where that got you. Now, shut up and eat the onigiri I made you.”
Zoro looked at the plate Sanji grabbed and sighed. Sanji picked up one of the onigiri’s and brought it to Zoro’s mouth. However, Zoro grimaced and turned away.
“That’s humiliating.” He said.
Sanji’s brow furrowed in anger as he slammed the plate back onto the side table, “You know what you selfish bastard?! You can suffer here by your-fucking-self. I’m trying to help you and all you want to do is continue being a fucking jerk!”
Sanji turned away and was about to break for the other side of the room before something caught his arm.
Weakly he heard, “Wait, please…”
Sanji paused and turned. Zoro’s weakly gripped his sleeve with his face down in defeat.
Zoro looked up to him with pleading eyes, “Please help me.”
Sanji sighed and closed his eyes. He sat back down in the chair and picked up an onigiri once more bringing it to Zoro’s mouth.
Zoro blushed before opening his mouth and eating it, “It’s really good.”
Sanji smiled and kept feeding him, “I’m glad.”
The background noise seemed to drown out to them as they shared this intimate moment. When Zoro finished all the onigiri he yawned.
“Get some rest, mosshead.”
Zoro paused, “…will you…will you stay here with me?”
Sanji’s eyes widened as he let the request sink in. Zoro flushed, “I-I mean—sorry that was a stupid. Never mind me.”
Cracking a smile, Sanji grabbed Zoro’s bandaged hand and held it gingerly in his, “Of course I’ll stay.”
Zoro smiled and squeezed Sanji’s hand weakly. He did his best to create room on the bed. As Sanji saw what he was doing he blushed, “Oh, in there?”
Zoro nodded. Sanji smiled and let go of his his hand to get in next to him. It was cramped but warm. Zoro lay on his back as Sanji lay on his side wrapping his arms and legs around Zoro.
Sanji’s head rested on Zoro’s shoulder. Zoro smiled as he felt Sanji’s blonde hair ticked his chin.
“Get some rest,” Sanji mumbled.
Zoro maneuvered his face into Sanji’s hair and grunted. Sanji smiled and sleep came over him. Soon enough both of their bodies relaxed and they were peacefully asleep.

Afraid to start; Got your heart in a headlock
Usopp/Zoro Roronoa Warnings: ambiguously post time skip but it’s probably not accurate shut up, aphrodisiacs, awkward conversations, awkward confessions, angst with a happy ending, no smut Word count: 4814 DESC: Chopper wanted some mushrooms, Usopp wanted to bond with Zoro alone, and Zoro was hungry.
NOTES: I had this amazing idea from reading the lovely Lagneía by zoldsick! I really liked the premise and kind of did my own spin with Zosopp because I have seen not enough people writing for them! C'mon!! Don't make me flood the tag with my own stupidity!! I'm not very caught up to post timeskip so if this is inaccurate ignore it and be nice to meee :)) Also I did use google translate in latin so if it's not accurate suck my dick :))))))
“Okay, I need you two to gather some supplies with us. Do you think you can do that?” The commanding voice of Robin flowed through her shipmate's ears, forcing them to stand straighter underneath her tout gaze. She stared with crystal blue eyes, hair pushed back into a loose ponytail as she continued, “Chopper is looking for different mushrooms and foliage to create different medicines. I’m assuming this won’t be too much trouble.”
“I mean if you want, I can do it myself!” The small reindeers voice made Usopp look down at him, as he peered out from Nico’s legs. He had a different cap that adorned his head, something forest green. It was made to blend into the wilderness of the island they had docked at for the day. This island was covered in an overgrown jungle that would have sent the sniper back into bed for another twelve hours if he could help it.
“Relax,” Zoro chimed in from beside Usopp, “We can split up. Me and long-nose, you and Robin.” He motioned with his head to the two in front of him, barely giving the ‘long-nose’ in question a second glance.
Nami had been adamant they stopped at this island to gather fresh supplies, as she had heard it was overgrown with fruits and vegetables. Maybe Sanji had pressured her into stopping here, or Luffy’s incessant protests that they needed something new to eat instead of the same fish they had been getting for weeks. Usopp didn’t mind gathering for Chopper, especially since the scary Robin had asked, and especially if he had help from a strong man like Roronoa Zoro. Although, that wasn’t to say the Great Captain Usopp couldn’t hold his own! I mean, he could forge through these kinds of brush in his sleep!
And this would be a good chance for the sniper and the swordsman to bond a bit. They had known each other for well over two-years, and barely exchanged more than a handful of words. It felt like wherever Usopp was, the green-haired man avoided. Maybe in the beginning they were closer, but something shifted after they were separated, and they couldn’t be in the same room alone without Zoro finding a way out to leave.
Did the brunette stink? I mean, he always tried to shower regularly. And he didn’t snore that loud. Maybe he was too intimidating for the swordsman to handle, so they couldn’t be alone in fear of having a battle to the death? If that was the case, why would Zoro be okay with them searching for mushrooms and other junk by themselves now?
“Perfect,” Robin smiled, clasping her hands together and closing her eyes, widening a friendly smile, “I’ll go ahead down. We can meet back in an hour?” The two crewmates nodded and the other two were off onto the island. Trees hung out over the beach, cascading shadows down onto the sand. It looked dark from here, looming into the blue sky overhead.
Usopp went to speak, opening his mouth awkwardly but he was stopped by Zoro’s rough words, “We can probably get Luffy to come with.” There wasn’t a chance to respond, as it was posed more as a statement than a question. The moss-head immediately turned to walk back into the ship, to find his captain and soil the bonding moment they could have had together.
“Luffy’s probably going to slow us down,” the sniper willed himself to say, feigning confidence. He wasn’t scared to voice his opinions, no! That would be silly. Why would he fear the much taller, much scarier swordsman who slowly turned to face him again.
Zoro widened his good eye, raising his eyebrows along with it. As if to say, ‘And?’
“I don’t want to have to watch out for both of you, you know,” the sniper crossed his arms over his chest, which today was covered by a green shirt [sticking to the green theme of fitting into nature], “And he’s probably busy.”
“Watch out for the both of us?” That seemed to be the only part that stuck to Zoro, making his expression tighten, “You don’t need to watch out for me at all, long-nose.” He pressed his lips together to hold back a laugh, a movement he instantly regretted as the swordsman’s gaze darkened.
“Which way is North?” Usopp asked instead, knowing he’d win the argument.
Roronoa rolled his eye, pointing up, “This way, obviously. Do you think I’m stupid?”
As he spoke, the brunette pulled out the compass he had workshopped himself to look a bit cooler than the bland one he had found on an island a few weeks back. It was fully functional, just boring. He shoved the compass in his friend's face, which showed that, no, North was not upwards.
That settled it, and the two were off on the island. Usopp insisted Zoro go in front, in case he started to wander, which evidently happened a lot. It was like herding sheep, as he kept having to correct his path. There was nothing at the edge of the jungle that looked to be what Chopper was looking for, so they kept going. The sniper knew that there was some mushroom that the deer had wanted to study. It was pink with small red dots adorning the large head, with a yellow base. It was distinct, and with their luck, they could find it.
That wasn’t to say they were going to leave empty handed. Usopp was collecting random leaves and flowers as they went for himself, although he knew the doctor could use them if he shared.
Zoro made a sharp right, and the sniper followed behind him, letting a silence fall over the two. To some it could be described as comfortable silence between two long-term friends, but he would describe it as awkward. Usopp didn’t know what to say that could bridge the gap. Clearly something had changed and he was out of the loop as to why that had been. Did the moss-head realize he secretly hated him and everything he stood for? Were they no longer friends but estranged cabin mates? God, the thought made him a little nauseous.
“What are we looking for exactly,” Roronoa asked as he pushed aside some vines with his forearm, looking back at his crewmate with a narrowed eye, “So I know.” To get this over with, was what Usopp phantom-ly heard at the end of that sentence.
“Oh! A Nulla Excitatione mushroom. They’re native to thick rainforests and wet places,” he explained, realizing he knew more about this subject than he typically thought, “It’s a small mushroom with a pink exterior and little red dots.”
“So,” Zoro paused, stopping his steps to look at the other, “Like the mushrooms that the fry-cook makes for us?”
“Well technically but-” Usopp was cut off with a wave of Zoro’s hand and a dismissive, “Okay.”
The sniper felt himself deflate a bit. He was interested in technology and creating, yes, but plant life was another hobby of his also. Secretly, when Robin had even recruited him for this, he was excited to gather stuff for his own collection to test. No one liked to hear his ramblings, maybe aside from Sanji, but even then, he knew to a degree he was being tuned out.
“You know you don’t have to do that,” he muttered, letting a rock get kicked from the toe of his boot toward a tree to his right.
“Do what?” The swordsman responded, although the brunette was surprised, he even heard him. Well great, now he had to say what he was thinking. But the Great Truth-er Usopp could do that! He could speak his mind whenever prompted! Except, he didn’t really want to say what he was feeling at that moment. It wasn’t like the other man would listen anyways.
Usopp swallowed, “Never mind,” he pushed forward, until he was ahead of the green-haired male, brushing past different plant-life to make a clear path. He didn’t hear footsteps behind him, but he realized he couldn’t find it in his heart to care. So, what if that big burly idiot got lost? The sniper knew someone could locate him easily, especially since this island wasn’t that big. Knowing Sanji, he’d probably run into the moss by accident and force him along on his own errands for fruits.
There was another wave of silence, as Usopp continued to push branches and vines away from his person. He wanted to venture deep enough into the wilderness, and further away from Zoro, to get some peace and quiet. But he knew, when the footsteps started up again, that he was being followed by the lug.
This silence was different, it was visibly tense. There were clearly words that needed to be exchanged, but there was no chance any of them would acknowledge it. Zoro was never the feelings type. He never said anything he didn’t have to, or anything that would lead to sappy moments. All Usopp could tell was the only thing going on behind those eyes were thoughts enthralled with sake … and swords.
Up ahead, Usopp could see a clearing. And more importantly, he could hear it, too. Water, fresh water, rushing down from a hill, was what he could sense. As he broke through the last branches of thick brush, he saw it. A small waterfall coming from a mountainous lump of boulders, spouting out clear water into a large pond that seemed to break off into different streams further back. There across the bank were mushrooms, littered with colors, all for him to collect for their doctor. And some for him to take for himself, of course.
It was different from anything he had ever seen before. The sniper had never seen mushrooms growing inside a brook, let alone at least twenty. He found himself rushing to the site, prying off his shoes and rolling up the cuffs on his overalls to step into the water to start collecting. There were purple, yellow, even green mushrooms, but no pink. Well, he didn’t need the pink mushroom if he had all these other ones. Which he carefully plucked from the water and plopped into his bag.
“Why did you come if you’re going to do nothing?” Usopp asked, peering over his shoulder, as he hunched over, at the green-haired annoyance behind him. The swordsman stood behind him, grumbling a bit as he sat down onto a large boulder beside the pond.
Zoro let out a huff and got up, smiling tightly, “Happy?” And he turned, going to wander off by the edge of the clearing. At least he had some semblance to know not to wander off too far, but the other didn’t care much if he did.
“This stuff is like what curly cooks for us, right?” Roronoa called out after a bit.
Usopp replied in a hasty, “Yeah sure, Zoro,” as he pulled out a small book with plant names, images, and descriptions. The best thing he could do now as he collected one of each mushroom was identify them to better expand his knowledge.
The sniper flipped through the pages, matching up pictures to the mushrooms he collected. He stepped out of the water and sat back on that boulder, taking his time to make sure he was right in his comparisons. He had to be, and it made him proud. If no one else cared about his interests, at least Chopper would be content with what he found. And he decided to keep at least one mushroom for himself, the green one. Maybe he could dissect it to find out more about its biology…
All of Usopp’s thoughts were interrupted as he heard a loud, “AW FUCK-” Followed by rapid coughing behind him. He jerked his head around to see Zoro hunched over, holding his throat with one hand, while the other pounded a fist against his large chest. Of course, he had to go and do something stupid. Of course, when the sniper was almost at peace.
“What did you do?!” Usopp sneered, hopping off the boulder to fully assess the damage.
He was horrified to look upon the scene and see a half-eaten Nulla Excitatione mushroom lying on the grass as Zoro gaped over it, “Are you serious,” he blinked slowly.
“You said it was like what the cook makes us you-” Zoro let out a cough and a strained, “Oh my god-”
“I didn’t! You didn’t let me finish my explanation or I would have said they’re both mushrooms, but one you shouldn’t ingest!” Usopp balled his fists by his sides as he continued, “This is why you- This is- This is why I hate being around you!”
It was something he didn’t mean to let slip. Something he didn’t realize he felt. Something he knew wasn’t a lie. But something he wished was, as Zoro looked over at him with a tense expression.
“Zoro…” Usopp tried but he was cut off with a glare.
“What’s gonna happen,” Zoro coughed into his hand, attempting to stand up straight but falling forward onto his slacked knees, “To me?” Another round of rapid coughing escaped his lips as sweat began to build on his forehead.
The sniper knew that this mushroom wasn’t good to ingest due to some kind of side effects, but he wasn’t entirely sure what the side effects were. So, he opened the small booklet and flipped around until he saw the name in giant letters before him. The picture almost identically matched the mushroom rotting on the ground, and the description made his mouth run dry.
A nervous laugh left his mouth, and he closed the book, “Nothing bad.”
“You’re lying you-” Zoro wheezed, “-Goddammit- Tell me what it said!” His face was growing warm by appearance alone, although the other didn’t doubt, he was probably burning up.
Usopp knew it would do no good to omit the truth and lie, as the swordsman was probably already feeling the effects by this point. And he knew if he was transparent, the quicker he could leave the man to … deal with it.
“You ate the Nulla Excitatione mushroom, or as it translates to: The Arousal Mushroom. Ingesting it almost instantly puts your body into a full blown ‘arousal attack’ and it won’t let up for at least thirty minutes,” he inhaled, “To an hour.” A tight smile appeared on his face.
“Why the hell did Chopper want this?” Zoro spoke through gritted teeth, leaning forward to cover his face and hide the apparent erection straining through the pants he opted to wear today.
“Probably to use it in medicine to help blood flow,” Usopp shrugged and looked away, “I should probably leave-”
“No,” Roronoa rasped, looking up to make intense eye contact with the sniper before him. There was something in his eye, something artificial. It looked like he wanted Usopp there for one in his life, whether that was in that way or just to be there as comfort. It was sweet for a moment, but turned to bile in the brunette's throat. His friend didn’t want him there, he wanted something to use through his heat. It was understandable, sure, but it threw salt in the wound that he wasn’t wanted before, and he was only wanted due to a messed-up mushroom.
“You’re not in your right headspace. It’s better if I leave you and wait at the ship for an hour. Then I can come back,” Usopp dismissed the look and turned to head back to the brook, so he could grab his shoes and leave.
The green-haired male made a strangled noise, “Just… Stay. I need you here…” He spoke in a loud whisper, as if it was becoming painful to speak.
From reading the effects of the mushroom, Usopp knew it was plausible. When someone's body was sent into that kind of mode, it was hard to do nothing but … complete. He tried not to think about it too much, to think of Zoro in that light.
“No, you don’t,” he exhaled, grabbing his shoes and fitting them back onto his foot, “That’s the mushroom talking.” Usopp turned on his heel and peered over at his friend again, seeing him leaning forward on the grass with his elbows resting to the ground. His head hung low, hidden by shuddering shoulders, forcing himself to breathe through his increasing pain.
He hesitated for a moment, before heading back to stand before him, “Just trust me-”
“Long-nose-” Zoro croaked as the brunette continued.
“-It’ll be better if you handle this on your own-”
“Sniper-”
“-That way you don’t embarrass yourself with stuff you don’t mea-”
“Usopp.” His voice was a cracked plea, something that sounded hollow. It didn’t sound like Zoro, no, it sounded like a shell of himself. It sounded like he wasn’t the strong man who could handle anything, but someone who had lost everything and needed a friend. But as much as the other wanted to believe it was genuine, he knew it was because he was the only one standing there.
Zoro raised his head, locking his dark brown eyes with Usopp’s lighter colored ones. His iris was covered with a blown-out pupil, that only a faint rim of color was enough to discern he was human. There wasn’t any lust behind his eye but rather pain, embarrassment, even some shame.
“I need you here,” he whispered, barely above a murmur. Barely audible with the flow of water from those rocks behind the two, splashing into the pond below.
“No, you don’t, Zoro, that’s just your stupid lust-filled, mushroom eating brain talking- which by the way,” he pressed his hands together, “Why did you- Why did you eat it!? Why in your head did you think it was okay!? You never listen to anything I say! You never- never even let me finish, to tell you not to eat it- even though I should’ve known I should’ve said that because you’re you, and, of course, you’d eat it!” Usopp inhaled, “You don’t want me here Zoro. You don’t want me- you don’t even speak to me. When was the last time we hung out after Boin Archipelago? O-Or even before that? You avoid me like I have Usopp-is-annoying-and-should-be-avoided-itus, which is not contagious- if I had it!”
Usopp wasn’t sure why he was speaking, why he was saying all the things he felt. All the things he meant but knew he should have kept under wraps. All the things he thought would fall on deaf ears to be ignored the very next day. But it felt different. Zoro had nowhere to go and nowhere to turn to because of his stupid mushroom eating habits, and he was forced to listen- no, forced to confront something that was probably apparent to everyone. He had to face the fact that he was treating the sniper differently, as if he wanted to throw him overboard the first chance he got.
Zoro simply stared at him as sweat dripped from his brow. Maybe it wasn’t necessarily the most perfect time to say, as he looked like he was struggling to stay conscious. Their eyes were connected, interlocked, with something intense. It wasn’t lust, it was a standoff. The brunette wasn’t backing down from his feelings, feeling that bravery, he almost rarely ever got. And the swordsman was letting him bare his soul, his heart, all his frustrations.
They fell into an overwhelming silence, letting Roronoa’s labored breathing fill any gaps from the small waterfall. Then he looked away, down to the grass where sweat fell from his chin onto blades of green, “I don’t avoid you.” To that Usopp made an offended noise, “I don’t try to avoid you.”
“Why? I thought we were, I don’t know, friends,” the sniper's voice was turning unsure, as if he was worried, he had crossed a line with his words.
“You hate being around me and I avoid you like you have Usopp-annoying… whatever,” he huffed and turned his head to the side, “But we’re friends?”
Usopp had to admit it sounded like they weren’t friends at all. He swallowed loudly and knelt, before he plopped down onto the grass and brought his knees to his front, “I guess not.”
Zoro lifted his head and groaned, “I don’t know why I avoid you,” he exhaled and closed his eye, furrowing his brow, “You make me feel weird. Ever since Kuragiana you…ve changed,” he ended that word with a strained voice, as if it hurt him to say that. Which was, again, very plausible.
“Weird? Do I stink?” He raised an eyebrow.
“No. More like I feel like I probably do,” Roronoa finally lifted himself up from the ground, kneeling with his back hunched. His shirt was drenched in sweat as if he had fought ten bad guys with eleven more to go. It hadn’t even been an hour yet, so they both knew this was nothing compared to what would happen later.
Usopp let out a laugh, “You? Self-conscious? That’s not funny.”
“You make me nervous,” Zoro sighed, trying to say what he wanted to say without saying it, “Like, nervous nervous.”
“Saying it twice means nothing to me,” the sniper looked away with mock annoyance, “I don’t make anyone nervous, unless you’re talking about my enemies.” A laugh came tumbling out of his lips as he attempted to lighten the mood that wouldn’t lighten.
“I’m serious long-nose,” he looked down at his shaking hands, which balled up on his thighs and dug into his skin, “I think I avoid you because I-”
“Don’t want to talk to me? I already know,” the brunette spoke as Zoro continued slowly, dragging out his words.
“-Like you.” He nodded his head slowly, trying his best to don a smile but it looked more awkward and pained than anything else. As if he was struggling to keep sane and the only thing, he could do was clench his jaw repeatedly, to stop those artificial urges from plaguing his mind and infecting his actions.
Usopp stopped, his body turning stiff. He what him? He what? He couldn’t- The great Swordsman Pirate Hunter Roronoa Zoro- couldn’t like the- Great Captain God Usopp- at all! There wasn’t a chance in hell that the reason he had been avoided was because there were romantic feelings at play! Especially since that meant he was in control of this situation. Usopp held the cards that could throw off his friend and send him into a spiral of embarrassment or at least a moment of being content while in this situation.
“You don’t,” he let out a nervous laugh, “That must be the mushroom talking! Hello, it’s the arousal mushroom for a reason! Hahahhaaaaa!”
Zoro let out a groan, “God, you’re so annoying, my feelings for you aren’t necessarily sexual, idiot. Maybe I like you romantically.”
“And why would you do that?” He asked, although he didn’t mean to let those words slip out.
“I don’t know,” Roronoa turned his head to look away, with his jaw clenched unnaturally tight, “Maybe it’s because you’re amazing, and you’re funny, and you’re a damn good fighter when you’re not cowering like a bitch. And you make everyone stuff, but you don’t make me anything,” he looked at the sniper, this time baring his soul, “Why don’t you make me anything?”
But he had, fuck he had. The number of things Usopp had tinkered with for the swordsman that he hid away never to see the light of day could [and definitely did] fill a box. A new sword sling, makeshift handles for blades he had come across on different islands he thought Zoro would like. Even a mug he molded from clay to hold his damn sake. All of it was thrown into a box that he pushed deep into a crevice of his workshop, never to see the man they were made for. All because he thought that the man wouldn’t like it, because he thought the man didn’t like him.
Well, this was funny.
Usopp opened his mouth a few times to speak, but all that came out was an awkward giggle that didn’t hint at anything he wanted to say. Zoro’s eye narrowed and the other could sense he was taking it the wrong way. The rejecting way. He didn’t want to reject the green-haired man at all. It was weird. He never wanted to reject him, but he never considered him romantically. Well, maybe that was a lie. The brunette had thought about him like that maybe once or twice but pushed it away to work on anything and everything else.
“You don’t have to laugh,” he grumbled, going to stand up but finding his legs hadn’t found their footing yet. So, he slumped back onto the grass and fell onto his back.
“Zoro,” the sniper breathed out, letting his eyes flutter closed for a moment as he gathered his composure, “I have a box of stuff I made you. I-It’s all stupid stuff, like mugs and new swords. I never gave it to you because I thought you hated me, isn’t that funny? It’s like, if we ha-had talked then none of this would’ve happened!”
Usopp opened his eyes to see one brown one staring back at him, the pupil almost a quarter smaller than what it had been several minutes prior. There was a faint blush across Zoro’s face that wasn’t there before, that the other man was sure wasn’t because of the arousal mushroom. And there was a small, just a crooked smile adorning the swordsman's lips as they watched each other.
“Now what?” Zoro asked, breathless, looking up at the sky.
The brunette blew air out of his mouth and fell back beside his friend on his right side, turning to face him, “We still need to wait out your mushroom.”
Zoro looked down at him, “I meant… not the mushroom,” a tan hand came between them, motioning to the pair as they laid on the plush grass.
Usopp took his spare right arm and lifted it up, so he could lay just a bit closer. He didn’t care if his friend was sweaty, it was something he didn’t realize he had been longing to do since he heard that confession. The moss-head stared, letting it happen. Like he was made of malleable jelly, for the other to put into position.
“Well, I like you,” Usopp started, but he trailed off, unsure how to finish his sentence.
“Like, like-like, or like?” He raised an eyebrow.
“Like-like-like…?” The sniper furrowed his brows in confusion.
“You like-like-like me?!”
“No! Repeating words means nothing to me!” He sat up, leaning on his left elbow as he smacked the other's chest.
Zoro let out a laugh, and rolled his eye, wrapping the arm that Usopp had forced beside him, around the other man's shoulders. It pulled him in and made him brace against the sweaty warmth that was the swordsman, who needed a shower after this.
“Romantically or not?” The moss-head clarified, stretching his free hand up into the air and clenching his fist, before unclenching it, and repeating the process.
At that, Usopp paused. It felt right to be beside Zoro, to be close to Zoro, to talk to Zoro. As if there hadn’t been any awkwardness in the past. As if the avoidance was just that, in the past. All of it was gone and he was left with a new future that the other man could be a part of all he had to do was confirm.
Instead of speaking, he pushed from the green-haired man and hovered over him, staring down with a softer gaze. The original mission of getting mushrooms was far from his mind. The original plan he had for his entire day was out the window, now he just saw this swordsman below him. Whose hair was matted to his forehead with sweat, and whose skin was flushed from a flame burning inside his body.
And instead of speaking, Usopp leaned down [in an act of rare bravery] and pressed his lips to Zoro’s. It was a quick and chaste kiss that made the tension in the sniper's body release as a faint exhale.
Zoro grabbed the brunette’s shoulders and pulled him back, staring with a wide eye, “Mushroom. Get off. Right now.” His voice was strained, and he looked as though he was fighting demons to keep his distance from the other man.
“O-Oh right!” Usopp leaned back, crawling away to create some distance, “Sorry.”
The swordsman’s eye was closed, as he attempted to steady his breathing, “When this wears off,” he pressed his lips together, “I’ll show you a real kiss, that’s all me.”
Usopp was going to hold him to that.

🍷The Heir of Evil🐉 AU Reader Lore, Part Two: IceWings and Other Tribes Edition:
• IceWings in this AU aren't well known amongst the dragons, due to living in the Ice Kingdom, where it is cold all year round and is cold enough that other dragons could last maybe a day or two, as long as they are are not too far in their territory, but no longer than that...
• IceWings are regarded as strange and unnatural due to being the only tribe of the ten existing tribes to like the cold, need to be cold, and radiate coldness from their scales...
• IceWing blood is blue, but if their blood is rich with iron, it can be almost indigo in color. The lighter blue their blood, the more anemic and sickly they are...
• IceWings have slightly odd voices, high-pitched in some notes and low and soothing in others; their voices and tones seem to match the wintery environment they live in (when mad, their voice is thick and roaring like a blizzard, when sad their voice is like soft snowfall, when happy their voice is like twinkling icicles, when panicked their voice cracks like breaking glaciers-)
• IceWings wear different pendants and charms for good luck, health, love, and happiness. Circles represent and are supposed to draw in good health, a predator's teeth or claws or talons symbolize good luck, cute animals like seals or foxes or puffins or penguins are thought to bring happiness, twined branches or tails or antlers symbolize love, and three moonglobes represent the tribe's resilience and love and loyalty to their kingdom (there are more pendants and charms and symbols, but I'll explore those at a later date)
• It is traditional for an IceWing dragonet at age three (about 6 in human years), to have caught at least three pieces of prey, one from a circle of subsistence, one from the snowy tundra, and one from the ocean/coast...
• IceWings have festivals dedicated to the Great Ice Dragon, ones for arts and crafts and inventions, ones for ice carving, ones for poetry and literature, festivals for feasting, festivals for fasting, even festivals to honor the dead and to celebrate dragonets and families...
• IceWings drink frozen lemonade, berry slush drinks, iced coffee, and cold sweet tea. They have to use cups ands glasses and goblets carved from ice, made from metal, or a specialty type of porcelain or wood that won't shatter in the freezing climate of the Ice Kingdom...
• IceWings eat a variety of cold and raw dishes, such as: salmon and tuna carpaccio (thinly sliced meat), lightly sautéed reindeer, fish larb (fish salad), caribou and lobster surf and turf, sashimi, shrimp sushi, prawn cocktails, crab and lobster bisque, crab cakes, elk/oxen/hawk jerkey, whale fins served with whale and seal blubber, shark steaks, orca filets wrapped in seaweed, seal and moss salad, puffin served whole, stuffed hawks...
• Reader wears a pendant/pouch necklace, gifted to them at hatching by their late parent. No one saw Reader's hatching, save for their aforementioned late parent and an old "friend" of their's...
• Reader shines their scales at least five times a day, as they like to feel clean and to shine like a polished diamond. Part of it is because they have to look and act perfect at all times, so if they were dirty, it might reflect badly on them and their tribe...
• Reader donates any food the palace can't eat to the outer villages of their kingdom. This has earned them a reputation among the IceWings outside of the palace as a benevolent ruler, one who cares about them. Reader also goes to festivals thrown by those villages, and pays respect to each village elder and bard, as well as their monuments to the Great Ice Dragon and ice spirits...
• Reader doesn't remember much about their parent, and they don't know who their other parent/s were. Neither do the nobles, generals, or advisors who knew the royal family before they disappeared or died or were executed...
• Reader's army of pet foxes adore them, and Reader has more-or-less forbid eating any foxes that have a collar, as those are pets of either Reader or someone who was gifted a pet fox/kit...
• IceWing hybrids are sometimes looked down on outside of the IceWing tribe unless they (seemingly) hate the IceWings (or at least the royal family and nobility) and embrace their other tribe fully...
• A few of the platonic yans are IceWing hybrids or IceWing hybrid descendants (can you guess which ones?)
• Reader wears a few ceremonial pieces of IceWing jewelry, but prefer to wear anything that isn't too flashy or gaudy. They like colorful gems and charms, but prefer pastels or lighter shades; anything too bright or even (-IceWing gasp-) neon is politely refused (IceWings might be chromophobic? Afraid of too many different colors? It kinda makes sense, as the Ice Kingdom doesn't have a large variety of colors)
• Reader is the last surviving royal of the IceWing Royal Family; all their other relatives have either been executed, died of mysterious causes, or disappeared without a trace...
• Reader loves different foods from other tribes, but mainly avoids anything too spicy...
• Reader likes to wear silver, pale gold, or black metals, and likes shiny objects: teacups, earrings, glasses, stones, beads, bones, ice carvings, etc. ...
• Reader will meet their other parent/s eventually, but... a few defining moments happen before then...
•Reader adores teapots and teacups, and when they were little, always wanted to have a tea party, but never did. Even as an older dragonet, they still (deep, deep down) kinda want to have one...
And have some different teas and teacups, all of which 🍷Heir of Evil🐉 Reader would want:
(Imagine that last one is their main pet fox sleeping in a large teacup😊🫖🍵☕)

Chapter six of Hair of Gold has been posted!
I think it’s only Brook and Jimbei left??
Sanji sorts through the spices Vito had gifted him when a hand suddenly appears from his shoulder, fingers gently running through his hair. Startled, he quickly turns but relaxes upon realizing it’s Robin. A warm smile spreads across his face as he watches her walk in, Chopper following closely behind.
“Did you two find any interesting books today?” He asks, pleased to feel her fingernails pleasantly scratching the back of his head.
“A few but we wanted to check on you.” Robin sets the few books they’ve purchased on the table as Chopper hops up into a chair. “Zoro mentioned you had a bit of an awkward encounter with Vito at the market.”
“It’s been cleared up.” Sanji responds, practically leaning into the hand in his hair, feeling like he might melt under her touch and attention. “He…uh, apologized.” Sanji's eyes flicker with sudden realization; Zoro had been the one to tell her. Frustration churns within him, his jaw tightening. Why did that idiot care? “Tell moss-head to mind his own business.”
“He was just worried.” Chopper says with a frown since they’ve just got him back and the thought of anything happening to him again made them little overly protective. “It’s his job to look out for us.”
“Well, I handled it so he doesn’t need to worry about it.” Sanji turns around just as the hand is his hair disappears and starts putting the spices away. Sanji feels his face flush a little as he hears Chopper hopping down from his chair and the little reindeer trots over to him, tugging on his pants leg. Sanji looks down, his heart softening at the sight of Chopper's concerned eyes.
“Are you mad at us?” Chopper asks, looking up at him with big and hearing the sadness in his voice hits Sanji hard, making his heart ache. “Is that why you keep refusing help?”
“No, I’m not mad at any of you.” Sanji turns around and kneels down in front of Chopper, petting his head to reassure him with a soft smile, hoping to ease the little reindeer's worries. “I just don’t want to be treated any differently than the rest of you.”
“Well, I don’t mind being helped by my friends.” Robin leans casually against the counter, a knowing smile playing on her lips as she watches the blush spread across his face. He lowers his head, trying to hide his face and feels a little hoof pat his head, hearing Chopper giggle.
“We love you, Sanji.” The reindeer hops into his arms, wrapping him in a heartfelt hug and the blonde immediately responds, holding him close and nuzzling his face into the reindeer's fur.
“I love you too.” Sanji chuckles as Chopper pulls back and gets down from his lap, smacking his leg.
“Then stop being stubborn!“ Chopper lectures, getting a light chuckle from Robin as he flushes with embarrassment. “Let us help you if you need it.”
“Alright! Alright!”
“That includes Zoro, he’s watched your back all night tonight.” Chopper frowns and gives him another smack, prompting the cook to raise an eyebrow in confusion because he hadn't really been paying attention to the swordsman. “He was worried that the creepy man might try to harass you again.”
“He apologized for his behavior-“
“It doesn't change the fact that he still did it and most likely only apologized because he was told to.” Robin says firmly, resting her chin in the palm of her hand. “And I'm glad Nami spoke up about when she did because he might’ve escalated.”
Sanji wonders about how the man could have escalated from just smelling and decides it's better not to think about it much since the possibilities are just too unsettling. He had always thought Vito was just a fanboy, admiring him from a distance and never considered that he might be attracted to him in any way. Sanji quickly shakes off the thoughts, convincing himself there's no way he looks at him like that. Vito's just fond of him because he's a fan of Germa and he happens to be related to them. That's all it is, nothing more.
But it doesn’t explain the smelling part.
He tries to rationalize it, telling himself it must have been an innocent mistake and perhaps the man was just curious about his cologne or something but couldn’t he had just asked? Sanji mutters to himself, he doesn't have a problem if Vito likes men or whatever but he isn't gay himself. He shakes his head, attempting to push the thoughts aside and focus on something else.
“I’m gonna go check on the others.” Sanji quickly leaves the kitchen, looking a bit flustered while Chopper and Robin just glance at each other.
Sanji steps out onto the deck, flicking his lighter and bringing a cigarette to life with a practiced ease. He takes a deep drag, savoring the momentary calm and strolls over to the railing. Leaning against it, he looks the scene below to see his friends are scattered, chatting among the other crew. His eyes quickly find Vito, standing close to his captain, who is in the midst of a conversation with Luffy. His gaze lingers on him and for a moment, Sanji is lost in thought, just staring. Suddenly, Vito looks up, their eyes meet and startled, he quickly averts his gaze, taking a deep drag from his cigarette to cover his reaction.
Vito catches Sanji's quick glance and a knowing grin spreads across his face. He chuckles quietly to himself before turning back to the conversation with his captain, his amusement barely contained.

What if humans had never discovered fire? Could there ever have been a complex, literate, technological civilization if we’d never learned how to rub two sticks together? I think it can be imagined. Our fireless society would have to exist somewhere in the far north, somewhere without too much dry vegetation. Slopes of black soil fuzzed in dense, sodden moss, glaciers that roll perilously over the peaks, reindeer nuzzling the muck, seals groaning on swept-out floes. Between the mountains and the sea, a bubbling volcanic lake, and a city on its shores: huts, sealskin stretched over whale-ribs, temples and palaces in jagged blocks of stone. Hunters set out in walrus-skin canoes with stone harpoons; when they return the meat is carved, thrown into nets, and lowered into the lake to boil. Elsewhere, there are farmers, blubber-slathered, who tend to the forests of kelp. Fish are bred in shallow pools; every year the water foams with roe, and ledges heave long fillets curing for the winter. Nobody goes cold at night, as the geothermal waters are carried into every home. These people are master plumbers by necessity. Their epics and legends are about pipes and channels; instead of hearth-gods, they have the spirits of the soapstone radiator. Maybe saunas, hot and cold showers; maybe a hydraulic messaging system, with letters scratched in pumice. The great library is an ossuary: endless racks of antlers and whale-skulls, crowded with scrimshaw to record the deeds of gods and kings. The librarian gets her daily ration of sous-vide seal and salty kelp-porridge. She knows only about books and doesn’t think too much about where her food comes from. But the nights are long up here. How can she read without a candle? Well, the intestinal tracts of polar squid are full of bioluminescent bacteria. Leave a fresh squid in cold water for a few days and it will begin to glow. In the long, dark winter, the streets are lit by bowls of phosphorescent slime, steadily burning an unearthly blue. And above them, the aurora shines in long, lonely squid-gut strands . . .
-- Sam Kriss, Infinite Hitlers [an essay on alternate history], 2021
(I love everything about this scenario, but geothermal cooking sounds far too spotty to be useful on civilization-building scale, and I'm doubtful that you could feed a human-like brain only on the raw food that human teeth and intestines can process; our use of fire for cooking stretches much further back than the latest wave of development of our brain cortex)
