testing is like the premium exclusive version of friday practice: long hours of vroom vrooming, minimal, practically non-existent stress levels and the not-so-gentle humming of f1 engines providing the most soothing of background noises; occasionally a commentator will say something completely out-of-pocket, a gearbox might fail but it’s ‘still testing’ so of course there’s nothing to worry meanwhile that triple-purple glory lap your fav just did is a perfect indication of the car’s potential

watching the flyers game and the amount of support and live and joy that has accompanied jamie’s first game (and first points 🥹) is just amazing to see. i feel like the ducks didn’t give him a real chance and now going to a community that is so excited to have him and wants him around is so amazing to see 😌
#don’t get me wrong the divorce is still hurting#but this move might be a good thing for him#also i’m a new flyers fan and i don’t hate it but they play hockey differently than i’ve seen devs and ducks do it lol#jamie drysdale#nhl#flyers hockey#philadelphia flyers

i definitely had a crisis last night about him having to leave so suddenly but i totally agree! i’m so excited to see him with the philly team this week
also with the ducks game tonight i’m interested to see if any of the players or commentators will have anything to say about the trade…
as devastated as i am that jamie has to leave everyone and his home and move somewhere brand new in the middle of the season, i just watched the flyers postgame interview with john and i’m so happy to see how excited they are about getting jamie 🥹 i hope he fits in well and they seem so happy to welcome him in, i can’t wait to see how much he grows in philly 😭
I saw that too!! John seem actually so happy to be able to work with Jamie and that’s always so good to see. Especially with the knowledge of Jamie not knowing and having to be one of those guys that just leave with nothing ever said. We can trust Philly!
So excited to see the footage tomorrow of Jamie joining the team and getting a warm welcome! Everyone there is so excited and knows that they’re acquiring a great player. I can’t wait either to see how much he grows in philly!
#also hi love! i haven’t talked to you in forever 😭#i just knew you’d have the info for the jamie trade#jamie drysdale#nhl

2023 F1 TEAMS ⟶ 4/10 ⟶ McLARENRACING
“[To find success in racing] the first essential is enthusiasm. Not just mild, but burning enthusiasm. To succeed in motor racing—or any other sport—it must be the most important thing in your life.” — Bruce McLaren, founder of McLaren Racing + driver

Nobody talks about the absolute GORILLA GRIP effect that F1 has on new fans discovering the motorsport?? Like,, you dip a toe into the lore and suddenly you’re being power vacuumed in. Suddenly you’re neck-deep in a 10k essay on the tragedy that was Brocedes. What do you mean they were best friends-turned-rivals. Is this fanfiction,,?? Why am i suddenly invested in the dubious relationship between a frenchman and a japanese man?? What do you mean Shumacher took care of Vettel and now Vettel is taking care of Schumacher?? What do you mean this motorsport is actually about family and love and tragedy and grief and loss and friendship and everything in between???

not gonna lie the show thus far has felt like rick riordan just subtly rewriting his book the way he would do it now to better develop characters and relationships and such and personally i’m here for it because it means we get shit like the consensus song and medusa being a sympathetic villain because girl she was a victim !!

tiny details about the PJO tv show that I really appreciated
Sally has a New York accent that comes out when she's arguing
Grover picks at his horns when he's nervous
grover has a mother (or at least a maternal figure)! i really want to learn more about her!
Percy doesn't burn his blue candy at mealtime with the other sacrifices. he burns it at night, alone, in the woods behind the cabin.
the archery counselor casually offering Percy a giant lighter for his arrow, because why use a normal arrow when you could use a FLAMING one
eddie the plumber, who in a single line manages to be nicer to Percy than literally ANY OTHER adult man in his life (the bar is so low you can barely slide a piece of paper underneath it)
gabe playing poker online instead of in person; it makes him feel even more pathetic
literally everything about the set design and production design. wow.

When you thought your Percy Jackson phase was over, and now you’re watching the show, rereading the books, taking the Godly parent quiz, ordering a CHB shirt, carrying a pen in your pocket, and making yourself a beaded necklace…
