i think more neurodivergent people should practice saying "hey please only say yes to me infodumping to you about my favorite things when you have the emotional capacity for it, don't force yourself to or it defeats the purpose and if you hide it you'll grow resentment unnecessarily and if i ever find out i'll feel incredibly betrayed" to loved ones, even if they also are autistic/adhd/etc. it is an important boundary that is in OUR control and would radically change our sense of trust with others. we can be authentic AND build trust if we communicate effectively with other people
this can also apply to passionate ppl in general, and to their loved ones who think that making a martyr of themself so their loved one can ramble to them beyond what's comfortable makes them a better partner. it actually often does not. the only way we can learn to trust that you actually want to listen to us when we ask is when you say no sometimes too. otherwise we'll go into a guilt loop everytime, bc we don't have the data to prove that you would tell us if it was too much. i think even without neurodivergency being involved ppl are likely to martyrize themselves for their loved ones not realizing that being a martyr AT ALL will ALWAYS backfire at your loved ones. it never just affects you, and it always impedes genuine connection and trust. even i have been guilty of letting my autistic friends ramble at me until i was exhausted, and then straining beyond that bc it felt too rude to tell them, even when it was negatively affecting our emotional connection on my end. but communication is key, folks. it's a hard habit to learn but one we all must learn, and both sides need to do it

The reason why most of the time the narrative downplays starscream abusive situationship is because abuse victims are seen in a very...peliculiar way. They're seen as meek , cowardly , submissive , ''girly'' , etc. while starscream is NONE of that. He's an asshole who , because of his lack of control in his relationship with Megatron and also for his own fucked up personality traits , abuses and uses others , and each time he betrays someone (COUGH COUGH metalhawk) he betrays the mere idea that he can change.
He's not a good person; he's a horrible person who , just as megatron, deserves to be punished for everything that he has done. But does that excuse the constant abuse he suffers from both the narrative and his own leader? No

My fav character of all time is Captain Nemo from 20.000 leagues under the sea, and Nemo means 'nobody/no one' in latín. The professor is , also , from a character from that book: Professor Arronax! It also used to represent me feeling like an intelectual without anybody in My life- a nobody , faceless number.

*taps mic* so uhhh ppl need to stop seeing their gnc behaviors as strictly nonbinary behaviors and assuming gnc ppl, especially butch women, must be nonbinary in some way if they aren't womanly/manly enough bc that's sexist af and also harmful to nonbinary ppl who aren't visibly androgynous!!! pls work on your internalized sexism & misogyny my friends. tired of being told i don't have "woman vibes" bc i'm butch. let's actually destroy sexism & gender roles, not just give them a nonbinary twist

Found this AMAZING analysis on starscream yall should check out but i just gotta share this fragment bc dear god:
"My “Megatron” was my ex-boyfriend. While he didn’t have as much of a physically commanding presence as Megatron, his personality made up for his lack of stature. He was demanding, deceitful, arrogant and cruel. Like Starscream, I was expected to meet expectations he didn’t voice and then was punished for not doing so. Like Starscream, I was often hit for no reason other than his enjoyment. Like Starscream, I was told over and over how stupid and worthless I was and how I would never be able to function without him. Like Starscream, he pushed me until I retaliated and then played it off like I was the aggressor, so it would be easier for him to get people to believe his side. Like Starscream, I believed him. I trusted him. I loved him. And he took what he wanted from me until I was empty, and only then did he toss me aside like so much garbage."

this is so true.
it's also important to remember that some of them ARE still with us today, and their voices deserve to be heard, they NEED to be heard before they are gone too so that they get the praise that they deserve for their stories and wisdom. they have a lot to teach us. usually younger lgbtq people tend to assume they're all long gone already, instead of doing the work to find their books and autobiographies and documentaries and boost their articles/posts. and find them in their own communities, bc yes, chances are there are still older lgbtq people in your community if you know where to look. there's MUCH less of them than there should be, of course, but it's our duty to seek out what they have to say and offer them support too!
As a queer Gen Z, I constantly think about how there’s such a huge chunk of the queer community that’s simply… missing. So much of the queer community died during AIDS that almost an entire generation of us is simply not there anymore.
Those queer people were supposed to be our teachers, our mentors, maybe even our parents or grandparents. Those queer people were supposed to be there for us. They were supposed to be at pride events, welcoming all the young queers. They were supposed to be representation in our careers. Those people were supposed to be there to help us navigate life as queer people, and it’s devastating for both us and them that they never got to do it.

LOUDER FOR THE PEOPLE ON THE BACK 🗣️🗣️🗣️
just like megs , Terminus is a very gray character who , even if his situation and reasoning is understandable , had NO right to act the way he did. We cannot blame him for all the things Megs would do in the future , but sheesh , don't baby-fy him
The fandom perception of Terminus is weird. Guys- guys... he's really NOT a softie too-good-for-this-world old man. This old man is a radical, like- HE was the one to radicalize Megatron. If he'd ever had the chance to become a politician, he would have plotted the shit out of everything.
