pairing: jessie fleming x arsenal!reader
synopsis: your daughter accidentally exposes you and jessie’s relationship to the public
warnings: none
a/n: srry if ur name is piper 🫶🏼🫶🏼 also this fic is more kid-centric than initially planned but it’s cute. lmk if you want more of piper in any capacity bc i am more than willing to write it
“mum” piper says whilst holding tightly onto your hand, holding her ninja turtle raphael plush in her other hand as you walk into the change room “when can i wear mama’s jersey to a game?”
you bit your lip and placed your stuff down at your cubby, leaving some space to allow your five year old to sit down. she swings her legs as you dug through her ninja turtle backpack for the snacks you had packed her, handing them off and grabbing out your hair brush.
“when i’m dead” leah interjects from her own cubby “y/n you cannot put your kid in a chelsea jersey”
piper huffs “i wear it all the time at home!”
“y/n!” katie exclaims loudly before walking up to mia and stealing two of her crackers “you didn’t”
“guys she wears jessie’s jersey” you try to explain “it’s not like i’m putting her in a james or reiten shirt” rolling your eyes you turn to your shocked teammates.
there were many reasons why piper couldn’t go walking around in a blues shirt, one of them being that you and jessie weren’t publicly a couple. the two of you had somehow managed to keep your relationship totally private from the beginning, only interacting as rivals on the pitch before you’d go home and cuddle on the couch.
when you and jessie started seeing eachother you made it very clear that piper came first before anything. jessie, of course, had understood immediately and assured you that she wasn’t trying to barge in on the life that you and piper had created and that she was more than happy to follow your lead in the relationship when it came to her.
you had introduced jessie one afternoon on your day off and your daughter had taken an immediate liking to her. you didn’t know if it was the raspberry and white chocolate muffins that she had brought over or the fact that jessie had sat down with her and coloured whilst you finished up some laundry. it didn’t matter though, piper had talked her ear off about anything and everything whilst the two of them swapped coloured pencils and ate their muffins.
she piled question after question onto jessie, never dwelling on one answer for long before quickly moving onto the next thing. jessie didn’t mind, always answering simply and straight forward as the young girl babbled away contently. when you had finished putting the load of laundry on you returned back to where the pair were sitting happily, sitting down and grabbing your own colouring page so you could join.
when jess had left your apartment later that evening piper was quick to ask when she’d be back and if you knew she played for chelsea.
“yes, i know jessie plays for chelsea”
“auntie leah don’t like that”
“yeah katie” piper blows a raspberry at the irish woman cheekily before swatting her hand away as she tries to steal another cracker.
“so mummy when can i?”
katie ruffles her hair affectionately before picking the girl up and throwing her over her shoulder, making piper giggle loudly and forget waiting for your answer as she makes airplane noises and holds out one of her arms like a wing. you shake your head and follow them out of the change room to walk on the pitch, both katie and piper’s laughs echoing in the halls.
——
piper sits on the bench throughout the game with her raphael plush and plays with lotte, stealing glances at the chelsea bench when she sees that jessie isn’t on the pitch. guro spots her and waves, a cheeky grin on her face as she ducks behind fran to play a game of hide and seek. piper copies her, her small hands gripping onto lotte’s coat sleeve as she occupies herself before guro gets subbed on.
it’s when you go down during a tackle with niamh that her attention is drawn back to the game. she frowns deeply kicks her feet “that was mean of niamhy” she whispers, gripping the turtle toy tighter.
lotte looks at her “it’s just the game pip, you know that” she smiles “your mum’s tough though, nothing to worry about.”
you don’t waste any time getting back up and dusting yourself off before a long ball from kyra lands at your feet. you expertly weave through chelsea’s back line and find yourself an opportunity that lands in the back of the net past hampton’s fingertips, the sold out emirates crowd erupting as arsenal lead 3-1. piper jumps up and onto her feet quickly, holding onto lotte’s shoulder as she cheers and claps loudly for you.
the halftime whistle blows and piper allows herself to be carried back into the change room by katie, too distracted to notice she’s left her raphael where she was sitting. she sits through jonas and kim’s tactical and motivational speeches quietly before she reaches for the turtle toy. when she doesn’t feel it beside her like she expects, she begins to look around her frantically.
“mum” she whines, lifting her head up to look for you. when she can’t find you she scans the room for katie, only to not find her either. piper begins to panic as she digs her little arm through your bag, pulling all of your things out and over your cubby before emily comes over.
“what are you looking for pip?” she asks kindly as she squats down
“raph! i can’t find raph!” her bottom lip begins to wobble “emily i can’t find him!”
“okay, okay, he’s around. he’ll be here somewhere” the american soothes, catching the attention of lotte and kyra. once emily is sure he’s not hiding in a pocket, she packs all your stuff back into your bag and urges lotte and kyra to have a look around.
the two of them look under bags and coats and cubbies, quickly roping alessia into their search. “he’s gooone” the five year old all but wails as tears stream down her face “raph is gone”
you and katie return to the change room to a scene. piper is hoisted up on emily’s hip whilst kyra, lotte and lessi quickly put things back in their place with solum looks on their faces. your jaw drops as you rush to take your daughter off your teammate “what’s wrong?” you coo, wiping her cheeks.
piper sniffles and tucks her head into your neck “raph is gone mummy! no one can find him”
you rub your hand up and down her back soothingly “honey he’s not gone, he’s around here”
“no we looked he’s gone”
to avoid anymore tears you begin to bounce her slightly whilst walking back out to the pitch, piper’s cries now reduced to quiet sniffles in your neck.
you hand her off to lotte again, kissing her head and getting back on the pitch. kyra is subbed off ten minutes into the second half and immediately goes to sit by lotte and piper “did you leave him out here?” she asks softly whilst getting on her knees. lotte joins her and the two of them look under the bench and around the area, the australian getting up to ask other players and staff if they’ve seen your ninja turtle.
the search is fruitless and you slouch as kyra sits back down “i’m sorry piper, i’m sure mummy will buy you a new one”
piper wipes her eyes with the back of her hand “b-but mama got him for me! he’s special!”
kyra and lotte now suddenly understand the out of character outburst, giving eachother a sad look over her head as her little shoulders sag. lotte brushes stray hairs out of her face “i’m sure jessie will get you another one”
your daughter’s eyes widen “you can’t tell her, you can’t tell mama i lost him”
kyra furrows her brows “piper, your mama won’t be mad”
she shakes her head “i can’t tell her” piper stresses, holding her pinkie finger out for kyra to take “promise me you won’t tell”
the midfielder sighs but interlocks their pinkies anyway, a sad smile on her face “i promise” she whispers.
piper nods once and pinches her face as she turns her attention back to the game. she spots jessie and sinks into herself, half hiding behind kyra as she watches the canadian nutmeg leah. she snickers lightly at the thought of her auntie leah grumbling to herself like she does sometimes, her frown returning when she watches jessie frustratedly throw her arms when guro misses the net.
it’s only a few minutes later when she comes out of hiding at the sight of you running with the ball, alessia not fair behind calling for it. you cross it and lessi headers it in, your cheers seemingly echoing off of the sold out stadium as she jumps into your arms. the final whistle blows and piper remains reserved in fear that losing this game will mean that jessie is even more likely to get mad at her for losing her special raphael.
the teams shake hands and come off the pitch, leah and katie quickly throwing piper in the air in celebration. when her feet get back on the ground you’re quick to snatch her up and put her on your hip, her little legs locking around your waist securely as she squirms away from your hand that’s wiping at her face again.
piper pushes your hand and lays her head in the crook of your neck once again, making you frown at her behaviour. your daughter was a gunner through and through, even when the london derby came around, so for her to not even have a smile on your face broke your heart.
“piper, honey” you whisper “you didn’t find raph?”
piper sniffles and shakes her head in your neck. you place a hand on her head and lean your cheek on her forehead “i’m sorry baby, i’m sure mama will get you a new raph!”
you knew that she was disappointed, she had the whole set of teenage mutant ninja turtle plush toys and would alternate between the four of them whenever you went out.
raphael was for when you played chelsea or tottenham, because his bandana is red.
leonardo was for when the two of you got to watch a chelsea game, because his bandana is blue.
michelangelo was for when piper went to visit sam or katie, because he’s funny like them.
and donatello was for whenever, because he reminded her of jessie.
you thank all your lucky stars that piper hadn’t brought donatello, or else it really would’ve been a shit show.
you continue to soothe her as you wave to fans and idly talk to leah and kim, the two of them quickly coming over to see what was wrong. piper lifts her head and attentively listens to kim’s soft assurances, even if she didn’t believe them, nodding along and slightly smiling at the arsenal captain.
it’s when she sees jessie with fans over kim’s shoulder that she perks up immediately, her jaw dropping and beginning to squirm in your hold “mummy, mum, down. i want to get down please” she whines whilst pushing you.
you’re confused, and quite frankly shocked, at her sudden burst of energy but put her down without much fight. her feet hit the grass and she’s off running, her little legs carrying her as fast as she can go “mama! mama!” she yells as she pushes past emily.
jessie instinctively whips her head around at the sound of the little voice, squatting down and holding out her arms. piper barrels into the canadian and latches on “mama you found raph! you’ve got raph!”
jessie ignores the eyes that she knows are on the two of them and hoists piper up “you left him on the bench at half time”
piper’s lip wobbles as jessie puts the turtle into her hands, tears beginning to well again “i thought- i thought he was gone” she shakily says, wrapping her arms around your girlfriend’s neck “but you have him”
you bite your lip anxiously as you watch jessie and piper embrace, the look of shock across fan’s faces making you nervous. leah claps you on the shoulder “it’s fine, y/n” she says “it was bound to happen”
“i don’t even know if the public knew we were friends, let alone in a relationship” you whisper before beginning to walk over to the two of them, your brain on autopilot as you approach.
jessie gives you a shy smile over piper’s shoulder and her hand flexes against your daughter’s back. you can tell that she doesn’t know what to do in this situation, her otherwise confident demeanour being betrayed by the anxious look in her eyes.
“mama found raph” piper tells you excitedly as jessie adjusts her hold “he wasn’t gone i just left him on the bench”
she waves the toy in your face and you smile “i told you he wasn’t gone”
she nods shyly and plays with the tails of his bandana. emily comes up to the three of you smiling “you got him” she says excitedly, clearly relieved that she wasn’t going home without him.
“was on the bench” she replies before facing jessie again “i didn’t mean to leave him there mama”
jessie frowns “i know. it was an accident, accidents happen.”
the five year old nods again “so you’re not mad at me?”
the chelsea player’s jaw drops and she looks at you. you furrow your brows “why would mama be mad?”
“because i lost him and she got him for me” she answers you quietly, still playing with the red mask tails. it all seems to click for you. her outburst, her being so sure that he was gone, the anxiety. piper didn’t want jessie to be mad
“pip” jessie whispers, gaining her attention “there’s no reason for me to be mad about that. you got distracted and left him, it was an accident. you just need to be more careful that’s all”
she nods and smiles “i will, i promise” she tells jessie whilst holding out her pinkie. jessie smiles and links their pinkies before kissing her forehead gingerly, brushing hairs out of her face.
“did katie mess up your hair again?”
— —
later that evening the three of you are sitting in the living room watching a national geographic documentary about sea turtles. piper has all of her ninja turtles lined up and sitting against a throw pillow as she sits crisscrossed on the floor completely engrossed in the documentary.
your feet are resting on jessie’s lap and she idly runs her fingers up and down your shins, her eyes also glued to the tv. you snicker quietly at the two of them before your phone vibrates, a message from katie appearing on your lockscreen.
katie
send a link
katie
lovechild 🤣🤣 creasing
your brows furrow as you open her message, clicking the link to the tiktok she sent you.
the video is of a girl, early twenties maybe, wearing an arsenal jersey with a shocked look on her face. the sound is pretty funny, a low, short ‘huh’ playing in the background to go with her shocked expression. the text on the video says ‘when y/l/n’s daughter runs up to jessie fleming yelling mama after arsenal beat chelsea 4-1 at a sold out emirates’.
you clench your teeth and part your mouth slightly in an ‘oh no’ expression before opening the comments. quickly, people are met with the whole story. a fan that was at the game comments that piper had a toy in her hand during the first half but left it on the bench at half time and jessie had picked it up and taken it with her, and that piper had been upset until she’d seen it with her at the end of the game. replies ask if your daughter had actually called jessie mama, to which another fan confirmed, sparking more confusion.
multiple comment that they didn’t even know that you and jessie were friends, and others start to theorise that maybe the two of you had gone through IVF in secret and began to call piper your secret lovechild. from there it seemingly exploded. some user’s saying how unlikely it was because piper was five and jessie hadn’t moved to chelsea until she was three, and others said how she was from your previous relationship.
they weren’t wrong, piper was a product of a relationship you were in when you were twenty before you figured out you weren’t into men. you had gotten pregnant right before you broke up with him but had raised her as a single mother because he was still upset over the reason the two of you ended. it was a tough situation. piper wasn’t jessie’s biologically but that didn’t mean that she was her daughter any less.
you snicker and catch jessie’s attention “what are you laughing at?”
“people on tiktok think piper’s our lovechild” you wave your phone “it’s funny”
jessie smiles and shrugs “we didn’t even know eachother beyond playing against eachother for our national teams” she says quietly, turning her attention back to the tv.
“so?” you question “she basically is”
the midfielder cocks a brow “i’ve only been in her life for two years”
“doesn’t mean you’re not her mum” you point out, not missing the way jessie’s face softens before she goes back to running her fingers up and down your leg.
you toss your phone and sit up straighter “she calls you mama and you treat her like she’s your own. she’s got two mums. you and me.” you say sternly but softly, wanting to get the point across “biology doesn’t mean anything to me”
she squeezes your leg and nods her head “i know” she mumbles.
“mama” piper says abruptly “you’re not watching”
jessie is quick to look at your daughter sitting on the ground. she’s got a pout on and her brows are furrowed “sorry pip”
piper nods once firmly and turns back around, adjusting her turtle plushies so that they too are paying attention.
“does this mean she can wear my jersey next time we play against eachother?”
“if you can outrun my whole team, then sure”

A/N: My New Series, it will have three main parts and then just blurbs and oneshots, so if you have any requests let me know (either just general kidfic things or requests surrounding the diabetes) - and thank you to @alotofpockets for the help
Tumblr media
“That’s the third time she has wet herself today,” Your Mum told Lotte, as she rocked you slightly, looking down at you noticing you had fallen asleep, you looked so fragile compared to usual, your eyes puffy from crying and your blanket wrapped around your body, your head rested on her shoulder as your small hands clamped the fabric of the shirt she was wearing. Alessia had to look up at the ceiling briefly, to stop a tear falling down her cheek, and Lotte knew her friend wasn’t okay.
“Would it help you if we took her to the hospital?” You Mum nodded hesitantly before shaking her head, “she hasn’t been herself recently, Less, I agree, especially today, lets just go get her checked out and calm our minds,” the blonde nodded before she placed a gentle kiss on your forehead, “I’m just going to grab a few things we may need, you stay with peanut, don’t worry about it.”
“I might actually go put her in a pull up, that way we don’t have to worry about that and it might make her more comfortable,” Alessia said, gaining a nod from the other girl before she walked into her bedroom.
-
You whined at the loss of contact when your Mum placed you on her bed. “It’s okay bubba, Mummy is just going to put a pull up on you, because we are going to take you to the hospital, so hopefully one of the doctors can help you,” she told you as she quickly returned to be beside you.
“No, no pull up,” you told her as you wiped your eyes sleepily.
“Bubba, I think a pull up is the best option, you’re going to be in the car for around an hour, which is a lot of time and if you have a pull up on you won’t have to worry about having another accident, but it’s up to you,” she looked at you as you clearly pondered the thought, before nodding slightly.
“All done,” your Mum told you as she picked you back up and held you to her chest, your blanket still wrapped around you, you dropped your head to rest on her shoulder and she carried you out the room and down to the car where Lotte was waiting for you.
_____
“Lotte, sick,” you told her as you sat in her lap whilst your Mum spoke to the triage nurse, causing the women to stand up quickly and walk over to your Mum.
“Sorry for interrupting, but she said she is feeling sick now, so I was just wondering if you had a sick bag or something just encase,”
“Yes of course, that's fine, but I’m actually going to get you guys to come straight through, but take this encase you need it,” The triage nurse spoke to them as she stood up.
“Mumma,” Alessia quickly plucked you out of Lotte’s arms and into hers, holding you tightly, you hadn’t called her Mumma in some time, “feel yucky,” you wined.
“I know, I’m so sorry, I wish I could make you feel better, I know it's yucky and not nice, but hopefully the doctors will be able to help you soon, I love you lots,” she bounced you whilst she walked down the hall. She sat down on the bed in the room you had all been directed too, she tried to turn you around in her lap so you would be facing the doctors who were now in the room but you wouldn’t have it.
“I’m sorry, normally she cooperates a lot better,” “It’s okay, she isn’t herself we understand, I’m Dr Olivia and this is Dr Alex, we’re just going to start with a finger prick at first and then we will look at putting in an IV and drawing blood,” your Mum nodded as she once again tried to get you to turn around.
“No,” you whined out, and your Mum let out a heavy sigh.
“Bubs, the doctors need you to face them so they can help you, what if I lie on my side and you can lie next to me on your back,” when you didn’t respond she started to shift and she managed to get it so you were lying on your back.
It was a bit of an ordeal getting blood from you but eventually the doctors did before leaving you alone, saying they would be back soon, once they had left you quickly fell asleep.
-
After an hour a new doctor came in, sitting down on the stool, before looking at your Mum.
“We’ve got some news, she has Diabetes, Type 1, we’re going to get started on an insulin drip and get you admitted, you caught it just in time and thankfully she is only in the beginning stages of Diabetic ketoacidosis, more commonly referred to as DKA, we’ll most likely get her back to her normal self by the morning and we’ll start going through treatment options and emergency action plans. Do you have any questions?”
Alessia tried to speak but she couldn’t, “I’m s-sorry,” she managed to choke out.
“It’s okay, I understand it's a lot to take in, I’ll go get her admission sorted and we’ll move you to another room soon, if you have anything you want to ask me at any stage or any more concerns just press the call button and I’ll be right,” The doctor told your Mum before leaving.
“Less,” Lotte said as she stood up and slowly walked over to your Mum, “it’s going to be okay Less, you are both so strong, and me and the girls will be here with you every step of the way.”
_____
“Okay so there are a few options for CGMs and Insulin pumps, normally we would start of talking about the NHS provided ones, however if you would like we can absolutely give you the brochures for all of them and then go from there, we normally wouldn't offer this but just given your circumstances and health insurance we assume you would prefer to choose which one is best to you and your lifestyle than the cheapest ones,” your Mum nodded in response to the doctor and was handed about 10 different brochures, “feel free to look through them tonight, however if anything confused you don’t worry, we will go through it all tomorrow, most likely in the afternoon, we actually have an emergency diabetics class tomorrow morning which we will send you both too and then after that we will go through everything with you,”
_____
“I’m so sorry, I wasn’t looking where I was going, I’m just a bit-” Alessia said as she accidently walked into someone in the hall.
“Oh don’t worry, it's alright. You’re Alessia right?” The lady standing in front of her said, as she placed a hand on her shoulder.
“Yeah, and you’re? Sorry,” your Mum said as she shook her head slightly and released a heavy breath.
“Don’t worry, I’m Linda, how are you feeling?”
“Overwhelmed, but I’ll get there,” Alessia told the women truthfully.
“I understand, this is our second time being here, our daughter was diagnosed a few years ago and now our son who is 3 has just been diagnosed. I can tell you though it does get easier, but it’s hard at the start, but you’ll get there, here have my number, if you ever want to talk to someone in the same position feel free to reach out, I have a feeling you need to be somewhere,” “Yeah sorry, my friends have said they’ll sit with my daughter during our next class so I just need to go get them,” Linda nodded before waving goodbye.

TW: Bad-ish mental health
Chelsea!Reader
Ex-UNC!Reader
I don't think this makes any sense but whtvs
-----------------
Transfer to Chelsea, they said. It'll be fun, they said. Well, you said that they were wrong.
You signed for Chelsea under the promise of playing time and friendship, only to be immediately benched and left to wander the halls of Cobham by yourself.
In hindsight, it was a stupid decision to join the Blues. The winning WSL side had no need for you on their already stacked roster, and in no way were you going to be able to compete with the likes of Zecira Musovic and Hannah Hampton.
You'd once been told that only truly deserving and talented people could reach the professional level of a sport, but you were seriously doubting it. You weren't a quitter, but you were genuinely wondering if you should wait for your 23rd birthday next year to announce your retirement or if you should just announce it now. You were still young, and you weren't about to waste any more of your life waiting for your footballing career to blossom.
It was funny, you thought, how the same cycle just kept repeating. When you played in your home state of Chicago for the Red Stars, you'd sat on the bench and watched Alyssa Naeher, your captain and USWNT starting keeper, guard the net, but you'd at least been happy, being good friends with most of your teammates. Then, during your time at Manchester United, Marc Skinner had promised you that you'd play in games against easier opponents. You never did, always internally scolding yourself for believing that he would want to play you. Now, at Chelsea, you were all alone, not a familiar face or start in sight. The only time you'd been in the net during games was in college, where you'd been head of the DoD for UNC. That time was long gone, though.
-----------
"Y/N!" you almost missed Emma calling your name, too busy wondering if anyone would notice if you napped on the bench during the match. It was against Arsenal, but you were practically invisible to your teammates and the media alike.
"Yes?" you glanced up from the ground, only half-paying attention.
"Zecira isn't here and Hannah can't play on with that calf. You're going in."
"Okay." You didn't move, your manager's words not registering in your brain.
She stared at you. "Aren't you gonna go get your gloves?"
"Oh, right." You took off towards the changing room, grabbing your gloves, waterbottle, and blinding-white sweat towel that you'd had for the past three years.
When you went back outside, Emma patted you on the shoulder, offering you a word of advice and reminding you that the score was nil-nil.
It was embarrassingly quiet when you jogged into goal, the only cheers being a few quiet Chelsea fans in a sea of blue. You just shook your head to yourself, bouncing on the balls of your feet as play started up again. No distractions.
------------
A breakaway in the 51st minute had you barking orders at your backline, but none of your defenders were fast enough to catch up. Stina Blackstenius was sprinting at you full-force as you came out of your goal, and though her body shifted to the left and she passed the ball between her feet, you noticed how her eyes momentarily flicked upwards. Your hand instinctively shot up, smacking the ball away like a cat would a toy on a string, and as it flew over the crossbar, the entire stadium was silent other than the soft pitter-patter of rain on the roof.
The roar of the crowd rang out seconds later, and the Arsenal players eyed you with a newfound wariness as Steph Catley ran to take the corner kick.
"Hey," someone whispered, nudging you. "That was sick. I knew you still had it in you."
You glanced up and smiled. "Thanks, Foxy."
She ran back, sharing a few words with your other former UNC teammates, Alessia and Lotte, the three of them giving you small smiles as the whistle blew.
You came out of the net again as the ball came flying into the box, jumping up over Blackstenius again and swatting it away once more. The cheers from the Chelsea fans was deafening, drowning out whatever Emma was yelling to you from the sidelines.
Chelsea forwards and Arsenal defenders chased after the ball into the Arsenal half, leaving you, your defenders, and Arsenal forwards in your half. "Hey," Alessia called, giving you a little wave from the edge of your box. "Nice saves."
You waved back. "Thanks."
"You haven't changed a bit from Uni," she commented, jogging away. "Reflexes sharp as ever."
"You haven't changed either," you grinned. "Clumsy as ever."
Her head whipped back around indignantly. "Hey!"
-------------
It was strange being a part of your teammates' conversations. It was as if you'd been invisible before the match, and each save slowly made you appear before their eyes. They'd met you with smiles and claps on the back after the game, all too happy to secure a tie in the wake of losing their first two keepers. You could care less about your current teammates, though. The ones who really mattered were your old ones.
"We totally would have won if Chelsea didn't have you," Emily scoffed jokingly, giving you a light push. "You saved their asses."
You pushed her back with a shit-eating grin, lowering your voice. "I'll be saving your asses instead soon enough."
Lotte spit out her water onto Alessia, who shrieked in disgust. "Really?!"You snickered. "Yeah. Don't tell anyone, though."
Alessia pinched her jersey in her fingers, airing it out. "Have you thought about this? The Chelsea fans aren't going to like that at all. Trust me, I know."
"I don't care," you shrugged. "I'll be happy at Arsenal, and I know I'll get playing time."
"Well, we can't wait to see you at Colney," Lotte grinned. "Arsenal red will look great on you."
You grinned back. "I know it will."

little blurb about supportive arsenal gf finding out lessi is starting 🥹
two posts in one day, spoiling y'all
debut II a.russo
"lessi did you grab my training top by accident with yours?" you called out as you rummaged through your closet with a frown. "babe?" you called out again a little louder when your girlfriend didn't answer.
"no! are you sure you didn't already pack it?" the blonde called back from down the hall where she was sat in the spare room on the bed, laptop balancing on her knees as she worked on an assignment. your own shared bed was covered with your clothes as you of course had left it to the last minute to pack, your girlfriends own case already down by the front door ready for lotte to pick you both up tomorrow.
"oh. yeah i did, thank you!" you smiled in relief as you searched through your suitcase seeing your training kit folded neatly in the bottom, the taller girl in the other room rolling her eyes with a small smile.
the two of you headed to sweden tomorrow for your first match of the season and the qualifier of the champions league, you were over the moon to finally be playing alongside alessia than against her.
and it finally meant no more hours of travelling on the tube or cross city roadtrips just to spend a day or two together and then weeks apart until the cycle repeated. the distance wasn't easy but with time and communication you made it work, and you had never pressured one another about switching clubs.
but seeing how poorly alessia was treated by her former club, a team she'd supported since her childhood, was hard to bare when you loved her dearly. but you were there by her side through it all, the same way she was when you tore your hamstring early last year.
"i'm packed." you announced with a relieved sigh finally joining the striker on the spare bed, collapsing beside her on your back and resting your head against her hip, scrolling through your phone.
"thank god i was worried we might miss the flight." the taller girl teased, not looking away from her laptop as her fingers flew against the keyboard and you playfully pinched her leg for the comment.
the two you sat together in a comfortable silence, you swapping your social media deep dive for a book as your girlfriend tangled a hand in your hair, nails scratching at your scalp as she read through her study material.
"i'm gonna go start dinner baby." you finished your chapter, marking your page and sitting up. "hey!" you laughed as your girlfriend poked at the slit of skin which appeared as your arms up with a stretch. "what's for dinner?" the blonde asked with a curious smile.
"whatever i can make with as many items as possible, the last thing i'd like to come home to is a fridge full of expired, soggy or mouldy food." you winced in disgust, scrunching your nose at the thought. "do you want a hand?" the striker offered, moving her laptop off her knees and tugging you to lay on top of her.
"hi. "hello beautiful."
you blushed at her words as the blonde kissed your nose with a soft smile.
"no it's okay you said you need to study so you can focus when we're in sweden, i'll come get you once it's done baby." you answered her previous question with a smile, kissing her softly in thanks.
"now hit the books!" you ordered playfully, rolling off of her and standing to your feet as the blonde gave you a salute and picked her laptop back off the bed.
~
"smells almost as divine as you." you smiled as hoodie clad arms wrapped round you, the taller girl pressing her front into your back as her chin rested on your shoulder, kissing your cheek affectionately.
"charmer." you grinned, a slight blush coating your cheeks as you relaxed into her hold. "so, i have news." alessia broke the silence, unwrapping herself from you and taking a step back as you turned round and raised a curious eyebrow.
"jonas called." your girlfriend started, fiddling nervously with the sleeves of her hoodie as you tilted your head, unsure where this was going. "i'm starting on wednesday." she finally revealed, watching as your mouth dropped open, her own curling into a shit eating grin.
"baby! you're getting your debut!" you squealed happily, launching yourself at her as the blonde stumbled backwards but caught you, your legs wrapping around her waist.
"i am so proud of you less. i told you he was impressed at training!" you beamed, kissing happily all over her face as the tall blonde let out a giggle making your heart soar.
"i did smoke you at the wind sprints." "hey your legs are like half the size of my whole body you have an unfair advantage."
"but i can't believe we'll finally be on the pitch together for the same team and in the right red." you teased lightly as alessia spun you around before taking a few steps forward and placing you down to sit on the counter top.
"so long as i'm with you i couldn't care what color i'm wearing."

Camp Wiegman-Part 69
Lucy Bronze x Ona Batlle
Tumblr media
Alternative Universe : Military School
Words: 5K
Masterlist
———————————————————————
Monday, March 14; 9:30 AM - Manchester
A small routine had developed over two weeks. School continued, where I was pushing myself hard with revisions. It had become difficult to fit my friends into my schedule, but I had to make a choice. I wanted to pass my exam at any cost. I received some reproaches from them, though. Only Alexia and Alessia stood up for me. Maybe even Leah and Lotte now, too. Thanks to Alessia, I was able to talk to Leah and resolve our issues. She understood my intentions for studying, and I think she wasn’t as upset anymore about my relationship with Lucy.
"I just found it strange at first and was worried for you. I get that you're being careful. Now, give me some time to get used to it," she had told me.
I thought that was sweet of her. It wasn’t for nothing that I liked her so much. As for Lotte, we also had a conversation. I apologized for not remembering her. She was surprised and told me she had wanted me to figure it out on my own. Still, she accepted my apology, saying we could maybe reconnect now. I agreed, though I still struggled with the idea. I don’t think knowing each other from before changes much about our relationship today.
Outside of my friends, I’m happy with my life right now. Things with Lucy are going great. We spent a quiet weekend with her friends, which I needed after the last one in Barcelona. I’m still waiting to hear back from the galleries. It’s nerve-wracking, but I haven’t lost hope. I continue sending letters with Beth’s help and Lucy’s encouragement. On the other hand, I still haven’t called my mom. We left without seeing her, as she was called to the hospital urgently. In a way, I was relieved. I avoided confrontation at least. Knowing her, she probably thinks I’m angry at her. I can’t blame her; she’s borne the brunt of my outbursts. Lucy advised me to contact her soon, but I haven’t had the courage yet. I still feel guilty about what happened. One positive thing is that I’ve long been prepared for the idea of marriage. My father drilled it into me, and I’ll go through with it, if only to honor his memory.
"Are you okay?" Lucy asks, pulling me out of my thoughts.
I jump slightly. We were in the car, on the way to my meeting at the gallery with Mr. Fields. I was glad Lucy was coming with me. At least we’d get to spend some time together outside of school.
"Yeah," I exhaled.
"Are you nervous?"
"A little… Not too much, honestly."
I had no idea what would come from this meeting. I had already resigned myself to not having high expectations. I didn’t want to be disappointed by the outcome.
"Actually, I wonder why I even accepted this meeting. I should have declined, and it would all be over."
"Don’t say that. We don’t know what’s in store. Maybe it’ll go well, and he’ll offer better solutions."
"Hmm..."
I love her optimism. I’m not as hopeful. Maybe she’s just trying to reassure me. We arrive at our destination. This time, it’s the real gallery in the center, not the workshop. Mr. Fields said he’d be here today. He insisted that Lucy accompany me, and I couldn’t be happier. We walk into the building, and I’m struck by its splendor. Everything is beautiful, modern, white, and sleek. There are so many paintings on display. Some are for sale, others aren’t, or at least that’s what I gather since some don’t have prices. I feel a bit lost. I see Mr. Fields nearby, but he doesn’t seem to have noticed us. He’s talking to no one in particular as he approaches a woman at the reception. She notices us and looks uncomfortable as he gives her cold instructions before walking back down the hall he came from.
"Great start," Lucy whispers.
I nod slightly, focusing on the paintings to keep myself busy. The receptionist has seen us, so I assume she’ll come over. My mind wanders a little. I wasn’t expecting a gallery like this. Could I work in a place like this? It’s so large. Honestly, it’s massive. I don’t even dare explore the whole place. I understand its reputation now. This isn’t my thing. I’m not sure I belong in an environment like this.
"Hello, can I help you with something?" the young woman approaches us.
She seems uncomfortable, and I get it. Her boss spoke to her like dirt right in front of us without even realizing it. She knows we saw everything. Seeing me frozen, Lucy steps in first.
"Hello. We have an appointment with Mr. Fields."
"Oh yes, he mentioned your arrival. I’m sorry, I can’t remember the name he gave me, though."
No surprise there… Lucy nudges me to snap me out of my daze. The woman looks at me, waiting for an answer.
"Batlle. Ona Batlle, that’s my name."
"Yes, that’s right. Thanks for reminding me. He’s on the phone, but I’ll let him know you’re here. Feel free to look around while you wait."
"Thank you."
"Excuse me," Lucy stops her. "Are you an apprentice here?"
The young woman turns bright red in front of my girlfriend. Okay, I’ll admit Lucy can be quite intimidating when she wants to be, especially with that serious look. Why is she asking about this? The woman stammers a sort of "yes" before hurrying away. I sigh and start fiddling with my fingers. I’m starting to feel stressed, and I don’t like it. I wait until she’s far enough before turning to Lucy.
"I’m not feeling good about this," I mumble. "And why did you ask that question?"
"Relax, I’m here. I just wanted to know. Do you still want this job?"
Lucy is completely calm. I can tell she’s up to something. I shrug.
"I... I don’t know. This environment isn’t really me," I admit hesitantly.
She smiles and runs her hand through my hair.
"I know, but we’re not leaving now that we’re here."
"Fields seems really busy."
"Hmm, you’re right. I hope he’ll give us the attention we deserve, or I’ll get mad quickly," she tells me. "He’s already late," she points out.
I laugh softly. If he’s late, he’s definitely not winning any points with Lucy. I hope she’ll be able to keep her cool. I’m glad she’s with me. Unlike me, she has enough character to speak up if necessary.
"Hey," she says, catching my attention. "Don’t feel so uncomfortable, okay? If Fields wanted to meet with you, it’s because he believes in your talent."
I blush, feeling easily seen through.
"Do you want to know what I think?" she continues.
I nod. I think I need to hear what she has to say to lift my spirits.
"I think your talent is even bigger than this empire, so don’t lose confidence because of this," she says, gesturing to the room around us.
"Are you sure...? Then why do I feel so uncomfortable?"
"Because it doesn’t reflect your personality, but that has nothing to do with your talent. What I’m trying to say is that not every gallery will be the right fit for you, but that doesn’t mean you should doubt yourself. Okay?"
I take a deep breath and nod. I knew I could always count on her to lift me up. I felt like a burden in the middle of all this.
"It’ll be fine," she reassures me with a gentle pat on my back. Maybe things don’t happen by chance after all...
"Ladies!" a deep voice calls out, startling me. "What a pleasure to finally have you here."
Mr. Fields walks out of the hallway he had disappeared into and comes toward us. It seems he really hadn’t noticed us before... I force a smile.
"How are you? Come on, let’s go to my office."
His initial question, just for formality, is quickly forgotten. He leads us to his office. It’s more spacious and better furnished than the one in the workshop. Everything is so different from my first meeting with him. There’s no doubt he must host more people here. It’s more contemporary and softer. The one in the workshop was clearly more personal and better decorated in my opinion.
"Please, have a seat," he said, motioning to the chairs in front of his desk before walking around to sit down.
Lucy let me take a seat first before joining me. Her presence gave me confidence. She made me feel safe.
"I'm happy to finally meet you, Miss Bronze. May I also speak to you informally?"
A lump formed in my throat. During our first meeting, he had addressed me informally without asking. I hate people who seem to have more respect for some than for others. It feels like he's categorizing people to decide how to speak to them. He doesn't help me feel any better. It’s like he’s a completely different person, someone I’ve never met before.
"If you like. It’ll make the conversation easier."
He smiled, nodding.
"Oh, excuse me. I have a call," he said, touching his ear.
Until then, I hadn’t noticed, but he was wearing an earpiece. Now I understood why he seemed to be talking to himself earlier.
"Would you like a coffee before we start?"
"No, thank you."
"I'd love one," Lucy said at the same moment.
"Alright," he chuckled. "I'll go get that for you. Would you like anything else, Ona?"
"No, thank you, I'm fine."
"I’ll be right back."
I rubbed my hands together as he left. He took the call. I could hear his voice echoing in the hallway. What a jerk... He dared to take a call in the middle of our meeting. It’s so disrespectful. I jumped slightly when Lucy placed her hand on my thigh.
"Hey, are you okay? Is he making you uncomfortable?" she asked, frowning.
"No, I'm fine..."
"Ona. I can still tell when you're not alright, so don’t lie to me. I don’t like that."
"He seems different. But really, it’s okay. It’s the place that’s making me nervous."
This time I wasn’t lying. I know my reactions affect Lucy, and that’s the last thing I want right now. She nodded understandingly, taking my hand and kissing the back of it.
"Relax, okay? I’ll handle the talking."
"No, ple-"
"Shh. I hate seeing you like this. I’m just going to ask him a few questions. Let’s see if he gives me the answers I want."
"W-what do you mean by that?"
"I want to know if this place is right for you. We’ll see based on his responses," she said, shrugging.
"And if it’s not?"
"If it’s not, I’m not letting you work somewhere you won’t feel comfortable. You’ll just end up hating your job, and that’s not the point when you’re just starting a career."
I bit my lip, lowering my head. She quickly lifted it back up with her fingers, brushing them gently along my chin.
"I fully intend to put this guy in his place when he gets back."
"Y-you’re really going to do that?"
"I’d do anything for those beautiful eyes of yours."
"And what if we manage to negotiate a chance for me to work here?"
"Then it could stay an option, if you have nothing better," she sighed.
I smiled, realizing that the idea didn’t seem to thrill her. It was adorable how she was acting.
"Baby, if this interview doesn’t lead anywhere, don’t see it as a failure, okay? I’m sure there’ll be other galleries that will appreciate you a lot more."
"You think he’s going to conduct the whole interview over the phone?"
"He better not if he doesn’t want to face my wrath. That’s exactly why I’m planning to set him straight."
I smiled despite myself. That was exactly what she was aiming for, given the grin she flashed back at me. Footsteps echoed in the hallway, giving us time to adjust ourselves before he ended his call and opened the door. As he re-entered, he smiled and made his way around the desk. I already missed Lucy’s touch, but I knew that here, she had to play the role of my manager, not my girlfriend, unfortunately.
"Here you go," he said, placing a cup in front of Lucy. "Careful, it’s hot."
"Thank you."
"Do you take sugar?"
"No, no, it's fine like this," she replied as he placed a glass in front of me.
"I thought I'd bring you a glass of water, just in case," he said with a small smile.
He’s so fake. I hate it. But I thanked him anyway. He finally sat down in front of us. Our meeting should have started half an hour ago, and I had to admit it was getting tiring that he kept doing his own thing without acknowledging us.
"Alright then. Let’s not waste any more time. I apologize, but I’m very busy today, with many appointments and important calls."
"We noticed," Lucy remarked pointedly. "I hope we won’t be interrupted again."
He didn’t respond to the comment, but his expression showed he didn’t like it. He seemed uncomfortable. He tugged at the sleeves of his suit and clasped his hands on the desk, sitting up as straight as possible.
"Certainly, we’ll make sure that doesn’t happen again," he muttered. "Well, then. The reason we’re here is that I’ve offered Ona a position as an apprentice at my gallery next year."
"A position in Cardiff," Lucy corrected.
I stifled a smile. For some reason, it seemed like she was irritated. She wasn’t holding back at all. I recognized her now, acting like she did in the beginning, with that heartless demeanor. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see that Fields was a bit thrown off.
"Yes, that’s right," he responded as calmly as possible.
"And why is that?" she pressed on.
Her tone had shifted completely. She was clearly challenging him.
"I must admit that I was a bit surprised by your decision. You have an enormous gallery at your disposal, and yet you can’t find a spot for her here? Ona has already made a long journey to Manchester, she’s settled in, stable, and now you want to send her elsewhere."
Fields was momentarily at a loss for words, as was I. She had asked me to trust her, and now I was starting to understand why. She was protecting me while trying to find common ground. I shouldn’t be surprised. She would always fight for what’s best for me. Fields, who had been eager to meet her earlier, must have been regretting it by now.
"Well… I must admit that Ona’s application came in rather late," he replied without faltering. "I’ve already promised two apprenticeships to other students for this gallery. It’s difficult to take on a third, knowing that I already have two students moving into their second year. That’s why I suggested Cardiff. It’s the closest gallery I own in the area. I’ve already coordinated with the school, should you be interested."
He pushed some documents toward us. He had prepared everything. There was an enrollment form for Cardiff’s school right in front of us, pre-filled with the company’s details. Lucy had been right. He had no intention of leaving room for negotiation. The student’s section was still blank, and something told me that if it weren’t me, he’d have no qualms about finding someone else.
"I understand this is a tough decision, but you have to understand that I receive a lot of applications. Ona is incredibly talented, which is why I made this offer, but she isn’t the only one. I hadn’t even planned on taking an apprentice at Cardiff since it’s just opened. This is a significant opportunity I’m offering."
I looked at Lucy after hearing this. He knew how to respond too. She remained focused on Fields. It was a real battle between them. One thing was certain: he wasn’t willing to accept any other alternatives.
"And from what you’ve said, Ona seems to be doing quite well. I didn’t think a change of city would be an issue."
"It is an issue. She’s found stability here with new friends and even a relationship. You don’t realize it, but you’re asking her to leave everything behind."
Fields absorbed Lucy’s words with understanding. Maybe he wasn’t exactly the person I had described earlier...
"I see. You are in a unique situation, but I’m not sure I can offer anything better. I’ll have to take a look before giving you my final answer."
"Alright..." Lucy murmured, sounding as surprised as I was by his retreat. "May I ask what her tasks will be?"
"Of course. I’ve already discussed this with Mr. Davis, the head of my new agency. There will be no shortage of work. He wasn’t convinced about taking someone on, but I managed to persuade him."
"I’ve noticed the young woman at the reception is an apprentice. Will Ona be doing similar tasks?"
"Yes, of course. She’ll have the opportunity to vary her responsibilities. Reception work will be part of it. »
- She won't just be doing that, right?
- No, he replies with a small laugh.
He had realized by now that she was defending me. I saw him bring his hand to his ear. He had another call, I was sure of it. I wasn’t the only one who noticed.
- I hope you're not going to take that call, my girlfriend warned him.
- Excuse me, we have an exhibition opening this weekend, so there’s a bit of stress, she laughs. I'll call back later, he adds, taking off his earpiece.
- Hmm... Can you elaborate now?
- Well, yes, the tasks then. Ona will have the opportunity to work in the studio, of course. She’ll be able to practice and learn with the other apprentices, and then, who knows, maybe even exhibit her work. It’s rare that we sell them since they’re not professional, but exhibiting is still an opportunity to be noticed by potential clients.
- OK... But I sense there’s a “but.”
- Indeed. There will be alternation between the apprentices. Sometimes they’ll be here in the gallery, interacting with buyers and handling tasks we assign them. It might not be the best part of the job, but I believe it’s a good experience for them.
- We saw you shouting at one of them earlier. At least, you didn’t seem very approachable and didn’t even notice us.
He takes a deep breath. Lucy is perfect. She doesn’t attack him, but she knows how to unsettle him in other ways.
- True. We sometimes get stressed and lose our composure. Of course, that won’t fall on you, but it might happen from time to time, he tells me.
- All right. Will she be invited to exhibition openings?
- Yes, yes, of course. She might even organize one. Well, not at the beginning, but that will be part of the learning process—learning the organization and maybe even assisting if she stands out among the other apprentices. It’s a kind of reward for us.
I nod. The job description is more than interesting... I’d be crazy to say no...
- So, you guarantee she’ll have the opportunity to improve her art through all this?
- Normally, yes. We do allow them some time, but let’s not have illusions. It will be a small part of your work here. You’ll be able to practice the most at school.
School. I had almost forgotten that detail. It’s true that that’s where I’ll get the most help to improve. Still, I hope to have some opportunities for professional advice here. I have my doubts about that. This guy gives me the impression he's selling us a dream, but in the end, we’ll just be there to keep his business running. That’s definitely not what I’m looking for. If I want to do this job, it’s out of passion, not for anything else.
- How big is this gallery? Lucy asks.
- It’s the largest one here. The studio was recently relocated to expand the gallery. As for the one in Cardiff, it's just slightly smaller than this one. However, we managed to keep the studio in the same place, which is obviously better.
- Are you planning to expand your circle even more?
- Definitely, yes. If the Cardiff location does well, there’s a good chance new branches will open in the south, he replies proudly.
- You manage everything by yourself?
- Yes. I don’t like delegating.
- So, the training won’t be from you.
- No, indeed. My agency managers usually handle that part, especially for the studio. However, that doesn’t stop me from overseeing my apprentices, I assure you. I keep an eye on everything.
They all say that... The one reassuring thing is that I won’t have to deal with him often in that case.
- OK, Lucy murmurs. I think I have my answers.
- Do you need more time to make your decision?
- Actually, yes. We’ll accept the offer if you can work something out regarding the location.
He raises an eyebrow at her request.
- I’ve been following Ona since her first day at school, and I can guarantee you that a change of environment won’t do her any good. She’s built a life here, so for her well-being, if we can negotiate that point, I think it would be perfect.
He sighs softly, running his hand through his hair. This doesn’t seem to suit him. He expected us to accept after he sold us on the position.
- Very well, I’ll get back to you in that case, but I can’t promise anything.
- No problem. The important thing is that you’ll have done your best to solve the issue.
- Do you have any other questions?
- No, I think that’s all.
- Good, then we can conclude here.
- Yes. We won’t take up any more of your time. Have a good day, she says, offering him her hand.
- I’ll walk you out anyway, he says, standing up.
I didn’t open my mouth once during this interview. In a way, that suits me just fine. He walks us to the entrance, where we shake hands.
- Thank you for your hospitality, Lucy says.
- It was a pleasure. We’ll be in touch in a few days.
One last goodbye, and we’re outside. I’m happy to take a deep breath of fresh air. I was starting to feel suffocated.
- Well, that’s that... Lucy murmurs. Do you want a hot chocolate? My treat. We can talk about the interview while we’re at it.
- If you’re being so kind, I can’t say no, I say, making her laugh.
I wasn’t going to tell her, but if I could skip a few hours of school, I was happy. It was clear I’d rather spend time with my friend.
Monday, March 14, 12:00 p.m. - Cafeteria.
Our little outing ended at a small café downtown, where Lucy had a coffee and I had a hot chocolate. I realized that Lucy hadn’t even touched the hot drink she’d ordered during the interview. We had a long discussion about it. Mr. Fields' answers were satisfactory, though Lucy still thinks he’s taking advantage of me. She believes he wants to make me work like low-paid employees. Yet, he’d sold the position to me pretty well. Maybe a little too well... She might be right. She explained that she’d already fallen victim to one of those companies before and doesn’t want the same thing to happen to me. I agreed. It was, after all, my only response. It would be foolish not to wait for the other offers now. So, we agreed to wait before giving an answer. Lucy plans to ask Beth for her opinion and to put some pressure on her to use her connections. I don’t like doing that, but at this point, I had no choice. Mr. Fields was right when he said I applied late... I might not get many positive responses, and that thought is starting to scare me. We went back to school afterward. We arrived at 11:30. Lucy didn’t push me to return to class. She wanted me to have lunch with her, but I declined the invitation. Meals are the only time I’m sure to be with my friends, so if I took that away from them, it wouldn’t go over well. She understood and let me spend my half-hour working in her office. I managed to finish my homework and I think I’ll skip my revisions tonight. It’s good to take breaks sometimes.
- Oh, you’re already back?
- Hey, I greet Alexia, whom I was waiting for at the cafeteria. Yeah. We got back half an hour ago.
- Cool! So, how did it go?
- Meh... I’ll explain later, I say as I see our friends approaching.
- OK... she says with a small pout.
- I’ll be around tonight, so we can talk then, I reassure her.
- Really? she says, surprised.
- Yeah. My homework’s done. Plus, Bronze thinks I’m working too much. She says I look tired. She wants me to take it easy.
She’s not wrong... We’ve barely seen you these past two weeks.
I shrug. Losing myself in my revisions allows me to forget everything else, in a way. It’s an escape like any other. Knowing Lucy, she must have realized it’s becoming an obsession.
- You’re not going to start, right? I replied with amusement.
- Oh no, she said, raising her hands in surrender. I said it, but I’m not saying anything.
- Of course, I chuckled. Anyway, I just wanted to say I’ll be there tonight.
- Really? Alessia, who I noticed was on my other side, asked. And what about your interview? It was super long, wasn’t it? You’ve got a morning to catch up on now. But be happy, you missed a surprise test from Johnson. He was upset because no one informed him about your absence after you left during second period. I think he wanted you to take the test.
I groaned in frustration. Johnson was the least of my worries right now. I hadn’t thought about the catch-up work. Skipping three hours of class had been nice until then.
- Damn, I cursed. Do I have a lot to catch up on?
- No, don’t worry. We got a lot of handouts, so I took them for you. I even got ahead a bit for you while I was at it. That way, you won’t try to dodge us tonight.
She nudged me with her shoulder, laughing. I smiled, picking up my tray to follow Ale to our table.
- That thought hadn’t even crossed my mind, you know, I joked. Thanks anyway, that’s really kind of you, I said. Do you think I’ll have to make up the test? What was it on, by the way?
- I don’t think so. It was on the last lesson. He felt like a lot of people were distracted recently, so he wanted to put everyone back in line. It was on those charts. You know what I mean, right? I think you understood it.
- Yes, yes.
- Well, look at you, becoming a pro, Ale teased.
- I wish, I sighed. I’m still far from it, unfortunately.
- Don’t say that. You’re doing really well.
- It’s only thanks to my revisions and Bronze’s help, otherwise, I’d be drowning.
It feels strange to say my girlfriend’s name. It’s like I have to think twice before speaking. Even though a lot of people already know, I wouldn’t want everyone at the table to find out. That would be quite dramatic, almost scandalous.
- Oh right, Alessia continues. We also got the date for the field trip after you left. Bronze didn’t tell you?
- Uh, no, I frowned. When is it?
- Next Thursday. The questionnaire he gave us is due by Monday at the latest.
I let out a heavy sigh. What a great time to hand out a questionnaire like that. We’re already so overwhelmed. We’ve got six weeks left, which means three before the next break. We received our exam schedule and convocations last week. Our exams will take place at the end of May. That’s why I’m putting so much pressure on myself. The serious stuff is finally happening. We’re in the final stretch, and it’s terrifying. If I fail, all my efforts will have been for nothing.
- Great, I muttered.
- Oh, come on, it’s not that bad. I took a look at it, and it’s mostly general questions about the company. There are also two or three management questions. Anderson said those would be the points discussed during the trip, so it’s important to fill it out properly.
I nodded, my mind elsewhere. Come on, just a few more weeks to get through... There’s so much pressure. Not to mention the anxiety about my future. What a mess! I really hope I can hold on until then because I’m slowly starting to feel overwhelmed. If there’s one thing I’ve gotten used to this year, it’s the stability Lucy has brought into my life, and I’m determined to do whatever it takes to keep it.

White Noise | Alessia Russo x trans-masc. OC
Word Count: 1.6k Summary: Being trans masc. can be hard but Alessia will always be there for you – also the request did say trans masc., not trans man, so I hope this is what you wanted! I’m so sorry if it isn’t😭 I can adjust it to be. Warnings: dead naming and use of wrong pronouns, not really a warning but just stating that Calum uses they/he pronouns Request for - @sky-the-trans-guy00 - i really hope this is good!
“Are you sure you don’t need me to come with you?” Alessia’s arms wrap around my waist as I brush out my hair.
“It’s just a haircut Lessi, I’ll be okay.” I turn around and look her in the eyes.
“But last time they were pieces of shit and ruined it. You ended up buzzing it and I’m sorry to break it to you, but you do not have the head shape to be bald” I give her a faux offended look but laugh.
“This place is run by a non-binary person. And most if not all their employees are trans or queer. Plus, you have training.” She groans and her head falls into my chest.
“Fine. But call me if you need anything.” I lean down to kiss her lips before ushering her out, so she isn’t late, again.
~~~~~
The haircut goes well, something only few people understand is so important to me, and I decide to visit Alessia at training. She’s been begging me to come with her for months, but I’ve been too nervous about how her teammates will be view me to ever go through with it.
I sign in with the lady in reception, who calls Lessi to take me to the locker room before they head to the gym. I rub my sweaty hands against my jeans, but Alessia slips her smaller one into my own, rubbing her thumb back and forth against the back of my hand.
“Your hair looks good.” Her blue eyes shine as she smiles up at me, reaching with her other hand to run it through the newly cut locks.
“You think? It’s not too feminine?”
“Not at all! I can’t believe you went with blue instead of red though, they’re all going to think you’re a Chelsea fan.” Alessia stands on her tippy toes to kiss me before opening a door, letting shouts and… questionable singing, ring throughout the halls.
She grabs my hand again and pulls me into the busy room. Everyone stops talking as the door slams closed again and all eyes fall onto us. I cower slightly next to Alessia, but she wraps her arm around me and says
“Girls! This is my partner I’ve been telling you about! Calum, these are the girls.”
“Yo, your hair looks fucking awesome dude!” an Irish accent is the first to break the silence between the 20+ bodies.
“I told them to go red, but they insisted blue was cooler.”
“You’re not a Chelsea fan are ya? Cause then we’ll have problems.” Lotte, the one person I did know, jokingly asks me.
“I promise it’s just my favourite colour. I’m a Gooner through and through.” A group of laughs echoes throughout the room and I chuckle with them.
“Are you joining us for gym?” Less pokes me in the side.
“No, I just wanted to come say hi. Show off my super awesome new hair.” I kiss her goodbye and am halfway out the door before another voice calls out.
“Wait! We’re having a team + partner dinner tomorrow after training. You down?” I look at Alessia then back at the room of her teammates.
“Uhh sure! Yeah I’ll be there.”
~~~~~
“What’s the dress code for this dinner?” I ask Alessia as we lay curled up in bed, neither wanting to make the move to get up as the sun slowly brightens in the sky.
“Semi-formal. You can wear that cute button up with the flower pattern I got you! It matches the dress I’m going to wear.”
“Sounds perfect.” I kiss her on the nose before groaning as I roll out from under the covers and get up.
I make us both breakfast before she leaves for training, and I take some time to myself before having a zoom meeting with my team to discuss our project.
And then I get a call from someone I hadn’t planned on hearing from ever again. I hadn’t seen or heard from my older sister in 4 years. I tended to avoid any family gatherings if I knew she’d be there and had removed her from all social media and my contacts, a call is the pinnacle of unexpected. So I leave it to ring, face down on my desk, as I look through the closet for an outfit for tonight’s dinner.
An hour or so later, Alessia rushes through the door, kicking off her shoes and dropping her bag at the door. She barrels into our room and beelines to the closet.
“Whoa what’s got you in a rush? We don’t have to leave for another 2 hours.”
“No no, I texted you. We had to move it up an hour. You didn’t see it?”
“I haven’t looked at my phone in like 3 hours I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay, but you gotta get changed. Like now.”
We both rush to get into our outfits and get out the door in time, Lessi giving up on putting on her heels as we walk to the car, opting instead to put them on when we arrive.
“I’m so excited to meet the girl’s partners and show you off. Lia’s bringing her new girlfriend she won’t stop talking about.” I just smile, taking her hand in my spare one, the other clinging to the wheel as we wait at a light.
“You look so handsome too. I told you this shirt was the go-to.”
“You look beautiful.” I park the car and race around to help her out.
We make our way into the restaurant, spotting the group from the door. We’re almost at the table when I stop abruptly in my tracks, jerking Alessia back with me. Why the fuck is she here?
“Cal? What’s wrong?” my mouth gaps open and closed but I don’t get the chance to come up with a reply.
“Bella! Oh my god what are you doing here?” I feel the colour drain from my face as my older sister pulls me into hug.
I’m frozen in place as she pulls back, a wicked smile gracing her face, and I can see everyone’s confused faces out of the corners of my eyes. There is a deadly silence that falls across the group/ My throat dries up as I try to reach for Alessia’s hand again.
“Bella? I thought his name was Calum?” Caitlin’s the first to speak up.
“Oh no her name is Bella. Calum is just a weird person she plays for attention.” That’s my breaking point.
“Oh, fuck off Tahlia! You’d think four years would be enough time for you to grow up. You’re still the piece of shit you always have been.” I hear some gasps, but no one makes a move to stop me.
“I’ve always been Calum; I’ve just had to pretend not to be because of miserable fucks like you who can’t fathom people being who they truly are. Just because your life isn’t working out doesn’t mean you get to ruin mine again.” A tear pricks at the corner of my eye.
“Non-binary isn’t even a fucking thing! And they/them is fucking stupid you’re not multiple people.”
“It’s good to know you wouldn’t be able to pass a first grade English test. You never were that smart.” Tahlia’s fist comes swinging but a hand that most certainly isn’t my own stops it right before it hits me.
“You need to leave, and never come back. Never talk to Calum or any of us ever again.” Katie shoves Tahlia towards the door and she stomps her foot, looking at Lia expectantly.
“You’re just going to let them talk to me like that!?”
“Uhh, yeah. I think I will.” She stomps her foot again before turning and running out.
I let out a sigh and my shoulders sag in relief. Alessia pulls me to sit down at the table between her and Katie’s girlfriend.
“Are you ok?” I nod, leaning my head on top of her own as the others take their seats again.
“That was fucking wild.”
“I’m so sorry Calum. I had no clue she was your sister, or that she was insane.” Lia gives me an apologetic look, but I smile reassuringly at her.
“It’s not your fault, she’s a good manipulator, always has been. She’ll tell you what you want to hear to get close then show her true colours.”
“Hey, you don’t have to answer this but how do you identify? Because I’ve been calling you dude a lot.” I chuckle at Manu before answering.
“I’m non-binary trans masc., they/he pronouns. I don’t mind being called dude of whatever, just absolutely no feminine terms please.” Everyone nods in agreement, and it doesn’t take long for conversation to continue on between everyone.
I’m talking to Katie’s girlfriend, the owner of a small book café, when Alessia tugs on my sleeve. I excuse myself before turning to her, the overhead lights reflecting in her stormy blue eyes and making her freckles prominent.
“I’m so proud of you.” I kiss her softly.
“I love you.”
“Hey hey! No smooching at the dinner table please.” Everyone laughs and I flush red.
~~~~~
A week later I find myself in the Coloney changing room again, surrounded by sweaty bodies preparing for gym once again.
Instead of leaving as they slowly trickle out, I follow behind Alessia. It takes five minutes for me to start being teased by Katie for blushing as I watch Lessi work out, her biceps very prominent as she lifts the weights.
It takes me another five minutes to swiftly walk over to Alessia after she finally drops the weights, and kiss her passionately, before swiftly exiting, blush burning my cheeks. It may take a completely new hair colour to persuade me to make an appearance at training again.
International Break (Leah Williamson x Reader)
Tumblr media
warnings: ⚠️swearing, smut⚠️
a/n: still don’t know about smut. wont write it often, much prefer the cutesy little couple moments.
prompt: Leah and reader having fun with friends and together during the international break.
International break were your favorite days. They were always fun, easy and full of laughs. It also meant you were back to playing striker. For Chelsea, you were their solid defensive midfield, but all that changed when you entered Sarina’s house. She wanted you as the nine. A team car picked you up from your house at 6:00 on Sunday evening. You had met up at Millie’s house with the other Chelsea lionesses. You, Lauren, Niahm, Jess and Millie all sang carpool on the way there, but eventually you got tired and fell asleep. The drive was two hours long and you woke up 15 minutes before arrival to the girls making tik toks. "Did you all make tik tok’s with me sleeping in the back?" You asked the girls, laughing slightly. "Definitely. Posted this one twenty minutes ago and all the comments are about you, lady pleaser." Millie tested, showing you her phone. "You’re funny."
"Yeah Mills, there’s only one lady she wats too please." Lauren said. She was sitting beside you and laughed, pushing you gently with her shoulder. "Ha ha." You said.
Leah and you had been together for six months. Not a long time, but you thought you would die if you didn’t know she was all yours. You got out your phone and fixed your messy hair, letting your waves fall loose on your shoulders. "Making yourself all pretty?" Niahm said. "I hate you all and I can’t wait to be there so I don’t have to talk to you until we have to go back to the club schedule." You told them. But yes. You were. You hadn’t seen Leah since the conti cup final. Your heart had been broken at that loss. And then after that it was Champions League nights, and your schedules collided with each other annoyingly. You couldn’t wait to be with Leah again.
Soon later, the driver pulled up to where the Lionesses would be training. You let all the girls get out first, and as you got out you looked around. There were videographers and photographers, but you couldn’t care less about them. You saw Leah leaning against a brick wall parallel to where the Cars were pulling in. She was talking to Keira and Georgia, you knew how much she missed them. You didn’t even grab your luggage from the back because you saw Keira pointing to you. She waved at you cheekily and you smiled at her briefly before locking eyes with Leah. You gave her the biggest smile and ran towards her. She took a few steps forward and opened her arms for you to jump into. You wrapped your arms around her neck and your legs around her waist. She buried her head in your neck, breathing in the smell of your hair. You hugged her back tightly. "I missed you so much." You whispered to her, feeling her hands run up and down your back. "I missed you more." Leah said to you as she put you on the ground. She was a bit taller than you, but barely.
She helped you bring your luggage in as she had already been here for over two hours because of captain duties. You fist bumped the anon for the Lionesses, laughing at Leah as she did the most extra high five ever, and then you walked in and then headed towards the dining hall. Twenty minutes later everyone was there including Sarina and the rest of staff. Sarina did a little welcome speech and then it was time for the roommate picking. It worked the same way every time. Sarina would choose one of the girls to come up on a little stage their was at the front of the dining hall and the lioness would pick a name out of a bowl, and that would be their roommate for the whole training camp.
You were sitting at a table with Lotte, Keira, Georgia, Lucy and Leah when Sarina called people’s names. Niahm roomed with Rachel, Millie with Mary ( which would be chaotic, everyone groaned as Millie picked Mary’s name ), Lotte would be rooming with Esme. And then
"Y/n! Come up here." Sarina said. You smiled at her as the group started to clap and cheer as they did for everyone. You bowed jokingly and walked up on stage. "Pick your fate." Sarina said. "Please not Lucy, please not Lucy." You jokingly muttered into the mic, making the room laugh and Lucy raise her arms in defeat. You chose a slip of paper and pulled it out, opening it slowly. "Ha! No way." You said, turning the slip of paper for the group to see. "It’s you and me, Leah."
The group laughed at the luck you guys had. "No funny business eh!" Sarina said, making you blush basically purple. Everyone knew you were dating, but having the coach bring it up made you feel lightheaded with awkwardness. You walked back to the table and high fived Leah. No PDA during training was one of your big rules. Football was your job, and you knew to be professional.
So, you brought your luggage to yours and Leah’s room, room 222, and settled in. "Right or left bed?" You asked Leah who stopped in her tracks. "What?" You asked her, deciding to mess with her a bit. But your smirk at her look of confusion gave you away. Her frown turned into a smile as she jumped on you and pushed you onto the far bed. She laid on top of you, pressing kisses to your face and then to your lips. It got heated quickly and she started to push her hips into you, you weren’t exactly innocent either, moaning at her smallest touches. But then a knock echoed on the door and Leah was suddenly on her feet and getting ready to open the door while you were standing up and pretending to take off your shoes. You nodded towards her and she opened the door to find Lucy, Rachel, Millie and some of the younger girls standing at the door. "What are you all looking at us weird for?" You yelled at them making them chuckle. "Thought you’d be fucking already." Lucy smirked. "Lucy! Children!" You scowled at her as you walked towards the door. "Hey we’re not children." Esme said. "Whatever. We’re going on a team walk. Wanna come?" Millie asked.
You and Leah agreed, Leah made the smart move of grabbing her coat while you just walked out in your england sweats and nike compression shirt. "You won’t be cold?" Leah asked you, slinging her arm around your waist. "Nah. All good." You told her.
You guys went out for your walk, and ten minutes in you were shaking like a leaf. Leah was walking slightly in front of you with Keira and Georgia, they had a lot to catch up on, and you were walking behind them with Jordan. "You cold?" Jordan asked, bumping shoulders with you. "Nah." You lied. "Liar." Jordan spat back. "Just don’t tell Leah or she’ll give me shit about it." You laughed, smiling at the short girl. "That’s why I want to tell her." Jordan said. You laughed and then things went quiet. "I’m happy you’re here, Jords. You deserve this spot." You told her. She smiled at you gently, bumping shoulders with you as a sign of affection. "Leah come get your girl! She’s freezing!" Jordan said before running away. "JORDAN!" You yelled after her as she ran to hide in front of Lotte.
Leah separated from Keira and Georgia and waited for you to catch up. "So. You’re cold?" Leah said. "Barely," you answered. Leah took your hand and instantly felt the shivers going through your body. She stopped in her tracks, you guys were closing the line so there was no blocking of anyone’s path. She slipped off her coat and gave it to you. "I’m wearing a hoodie anyways. I wore the coat more for you that for me." She said. She watched you, almost mesmerized, as you slipped on the coat and looked back at her. "You’re so beautiful. I’m so in love with you. Like… so in love. And I never want to loose you." You told Leah.
She was a bit taken aback by your words, but her face softened quickly. "Where’s this coming from?" she asked, cupping your face with her hands and using her thumb to wipe away a tear you hadn’t noticed was there. "Just form looking at you. From being with you." You told her. "I feel the same. All the time. I just didn’t know if you did. You’re not loosing me, y/n. Ever."
And with those words, she kissed you gently on the lips.
The next morning you were up at 7:30. Breakfast was at 8:00 and then it was photoshoot time in the new England kits. Every player had different time slots. Sarina had made groups of 5 to get their pictures taken at the same time to reduce any chaos. You were in a group with Lucy, Keira, LJ and Chloe for the individual photos. You were sad you weren’t with Leah, her time slot was after yours. But Sarina had asked you, Leah, Lucy, Chloe, Ella, Keira, Georgia, LJ and Hempo to come in after everyone else to take a group picture. You and Leah went downstairs for breakfast and then went back to your rooms to do your hair for the photoshoot, the makeup artist would be doing the rest.
You stood in front of the mirror, looking at yourself. You loved media day, you loved taking pictures, it was just the little comments people would say that made you worry. You hated the things people would say.
"You okay?" Leah said, walking to you and putting her hand on your back. "Yeah. Just not feeling myself today." You told her, looking at her and smiling slightly before walking out of the washroom. "You look amazing. You always do." Leah said to you gently.
You nodded and ignored the look of sadness on Leah’s face at the thought that you weren’t liking yourself today.
Your time slot was right before Leah. You watched the girls in your group take pictures, you cheered them on and then made tik toks with a few of the girls. Finally, it was your turn. You put on the white kit and did a few poses. You juggled, we’re asked to scream like you just scored which was always an awkward one for you. You then repeated everything in the away kit before taking pictures in the shorts and your sports bra. It was easy to say you had muscle to show.
You were the last in your group to go, so while you were taking the last pics in your bra and shorts, Leah came in with her group. She smiled at you, watching you pose. You hadn’t realized she was there. Leah took out her phone and video taped you, laughing at your awkwardness. Eventually, you had the go to put on your shirt again and you took a few pics with both Lauren’s and Lucy.
Finally, media was over. You spotted Leah who had now put on her home kit and smiled at her, but you couldn’t go talk to her because the photographer wanted to show you all some of the pictures.
To your surprise, you really liked them. "You always make me look so good, Mike." You said to him, hugging him quickly as he sat in the chair. "Hey it’s all you." He said.
You watched Leah take her pictures, her group being the last one and then you took the group pictures. It was a long day, and training started tomorrow.
Training was at ten the next morning. Leah woke up giddy and the first thing she did in the morning was lie on top of you and kiss you everywhere. "Mhmmm good morning to you too." You said, wrapping your arms around her body. "It is a good morning. It’s a good day." Leah said. "I wish we could play together all the time… Come to Arsenal! I’ll put in a good word for you. Jonas wants you already." Leah begged.
It was true, Jonas had put in a huge offer and you and Chelsea turned it down immediately. "No way. Never. I’m a blue through and through. Sorry baby." You told her, kissing her lips sweetly.
Before it got too heated, you pushed her off of you. "Come on you’re such a tease. We haven’t had sex in a month." Leah said to you. "And I want too. So badly. Like i’m actually dying internally but our friends are sharing a wall with us. Like Lotte and Esme are right there. Right now." You said, rummaging through your bag for the new training kit. "Let them hear!" Leah said. You gave her a 'really?' look and she laughed. "Okay. Not a good idea."
"No. Not a good idea. You laughed, throwing her her training kit and starting to change." She watched you, smiling, and then put on her own kit. You put your hair in a ponytail and then went down for breakfast. You went around talking to a lot of the girls, got pranked by Millie and Rachel and then you all went outside for training.
Leahs good mood stayed the whole day, she ran onto the field and you kept on making the joke that "your skipper was skipping."
Training was great. Everyone seemed to connect and you felt as though this was a world cup winning team. You put in the work, fighting harder than anyone else, except maybe Jordan. She had a place fo secure for the world cup. During an 11 v 11 scrimmage, you teased Mary with a panenka chip as Millie had taken you down in the box. Leah was on the other team and she shoved you jokingly after you scored that, Mary flipping you off with her keeper gloves was a funny sight. You hugged her after the game was over, your team winning 2-1.
It was then time for lunch, and then another training session followed by ice baths. You had fish, mash potatoes and a salad for lunch, going on your phone briefly to text your club teammates.
The second training session was really focusing on 1 v 1 and 2 v 2’s. Two nets about 15 meters from each other. Four groups. Two groups on each side of the net. One person would go from each side of the pitch, one defending, one attacker, and then when the ball goes out of play, another player from each side came in and it was 2 v 2.
Eventually it was your turn, 1 v 1 vs Niahm. You played with Niahm all the time, you were always with her so you knew how she played, but she did too. You dribbled up to her slowly, faked left and then did a scissor right, making Niahm step to block. After that, it was an easy tap through her legs and a hard shot to the bottom right corner. Niahm fell to the ground in defeat as the girls yelled "MEGGG"
You helped your Chelsea teammate up, laughing, and then it was you and Ella vs Leah and Niahm. Ella took the ball but Niahm stole it, with a quick slide, you got it back and passed it to Lessi, splitting Leah and Niahm completely. Lessi shot it but Mary saved it. "You do that again and i’ll put acrylics on." Leah whispered to you jokingly. You laughed loudly, no one hearing what she had whispered to you.
When training ended, you all headed towards the ice baths. You had a love hate relationship with them.
The whole team poured into the room, ditching shirts and socks and entering the water. You watched G, Keira and Leah enter but you stood at the stairs. "Is it cold?" You asked them, crossing your arms over your chest. "It’s an ice bath baby." Leah said, laughing. You pouted and looked at the water. "Come on y/n. It’s not that bad anymore." Georgia said. You stepped into the bath, your feet numbing. "Jesus." You groaned, going in deeper until the water was at your mid stomach. "Cold, cold, cold, cold." You groaned.
The photographers came and took a picture of all of you and you put on a smile for him before letting it falter. You could only focus on how cold it was.
Leah wrapped her arms around your upper body and you buried your head in her shoulder.
"You guys are gonna make this third wheel?" Keira said. "Nah! Get in here!" You said, opening your arms for Keira and Georgia to join. Maybe that wasn’t the best idea.
Georgia jumped into you at full force, and you were not expecting it. She sent you toppling backwards.
You felt nothing but ice cold water as your whole body got submerged into the bath. You were down there for a couple seconds before your body worked again and you came flying back up, gasping for air and coughing. Everyone was kind of silent, Leah was obviously trying to uphold her girlfriend role but she was the first to burst out laughing. "GEORGIA!" you yelled, shaking violently and pushing your hair out of your face. "I’m sorry! All those muscles I thought you could take it!" She squealed, hiding behind Leah. "Don’t hide behind me! I’m not protecting you from her!" Leah said, moving away. "Aww how sweet! How about you come give me a hug?" You said to your girlfriend, opening your arms to her. "No no no, i’m not getting all wet." Leah said, backing away. You stopped in your tracks, pouting. "Fine then. I’ll go put on acrylics." You said, using her threat from earlier. You turned around and walked out of the bath, laughing to yourself as you heard Keira and Georgia making an "ooooh" noise. Leah knew you were kidding, but she was quick to follow you out of the bath. "Everyone’s here for another 15 or so. Our room?" She whispered to you as you tried your whole body with your towel. "I don’t know. You really left me stranded out there." You told her, putting on an act. Leah looked over at you as she dried her legs. "Can’t leave at the same time. Meet you in three?" You quickly left the area and headed to the third floor. You used your key card to get in and then turned on the shower.
You stripped from your wet clothes and threw them in the hamper, proceeding to putting your hand under the shower to make sure it was warm enough. It was. You stepped in, feeling the relief of the heat on you.
Soon after, you heard the door open.
Leah walked in and heard the sound of the shower. She smiled to herself, shower sex was her favorite, always had been. She ditched her shorts and sports bra and walked into the washroom, looking at you through the clear glass. "You just gonna stand there?" You asked her playfully. "Just let me admire you for a second" Leah said.
You did not.
You walked out of the shower, not caring about the water you were sipping everywhere. You grabbed her by her waist, pulling your naked bodies together. Gently, but sternly, you pushed her into the shower and up against the wall. You took a moment to look at her, trace your fingers on her jawline and then you kissed her, nipping at her lips and using one hand to play with her nipples while the other one cupped her core. You trailed kisses down her body, Leah’s nails holding you tightly to her as she kept a stern grip on your waist. Her legs were shaking and as you kissed down her neck, too her collarbone, and slowly down her stomach, you we’re having to hold her up against the wall. "You ready?" You asked her, looking up at her through the valley of her breast. "Yeah."
You pushed your middle finger into her, using the pad of your thumb to push into her clit. She moaned at your touch as you pumped your finger in and out of her, holding her thighs steady. After her first orgasm, you put your head between her thighs and finished her off. When she came for the second time, you went back up and kissed her gently, grazing your nails down her stomach. "You tired?" you asked her, cupping her face. "Yeah. But you, I can-" she started saying. "No. Not today. You’re tired and so am I. It’s all good."
She kissed you sweetly and you took turns washing your hair and bodies.
The rest of the night was spent with movies and team bonding. It was all good, you were back with Leah, the lionesses were stronger than ever, and it was time to bring the World Cup home.
