One of those things that's either Noah had something in his eye or really cool on a post-season 5 rewatch so I'm putting it out there.

But of course there are those library theories about Will being put there and the rift centering on it, and we know Will said he felt Vecna there, well (editing frame by frame per usual), when he's out of focus just as they're driving past the library, I noticed his eyes do something

It's slowed down a bit for emphasis but at full speed it's still more odd-flutter than blink the way his eyes don't close. Like I said, could be nothing, but in case it's something - I said it first.

Here's the new icon for the Vincent Valentine Defense League! Again, original on bottom for comparison. This one has a lot more editing than the header with regard to lighting and color balance, but actually about the same amount of work on details like his hair and eyes.

I like this shot because it really shows off the heterochromia, but icons display so small it needed a lot of work to be clear at-scale. I think it turned out pretty well!

This one reminded me why I used to really enjoy doing photo retouching for work. Sigh.

Lord Captain Xandra von Valencius, Rogue Trader of the Imperium

Following the unexpected death of Her Ladyship Theodora von Valencius and her known heir, a bladedancer named Xandra has taken the Lord Captain's seat. While she may be new to the role of Rogue Trader, Xandra von Valencius is far from a nobody. In fact, this isn't the first time she's been referred to as nobility. Prior to the reveal of her von Valencius heritage, Xandra made a name for herself as a crime lord on a hostile death world, wrangling the scattered pirates into a formidable fleet. Rumor says she ruled ruthlessly until she was captured by a rival gang. No one knows what happened to her in the 3 months she was missing, but when she returned, having single-handedly slaughtered the entire gang responsible for her capture, Xandra was changed. Having attracted much attention with her recent ascension to Lord Captain, it seems that Her Ladyship is eager not to fall into enemy hands. In addition to Xandra's own skills with blades, rumor says that she is accompanied by an eerie death cultist who never leaves her side. Will the new Rogue Trader grow the dynasty's glory, or will she be the reason the von Valencius name is struck from the history books? Time will tell if the skills she used to gain and keep control of her criminal empire will serve her well as Lord Captain. If you couldn't tell by the top half of this post, I started playing Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader a couple weeks ago. I bought the game on my birthday because it just happened to be on sale, and in the past 2 weeks I've racked up 31 hours. Which isn't much compared to my playtime in WotR when I first started playing, but it's pretty impressive given my workload. I've been having a ton of fun!! This is Xandra, and yes, she's a (space) pirate who was captured and tortured. I have a type, apparently.

I imagine that the 2nd outfit (the long coat) is her adventuring outfit (lots of pockets plus belts for weapons and such), and the other more uniform-looking outfit is her "ceremonial" outfit. (She's never going to get more formal than that.)

Also, if anyone else plays Rogue Trader and hasn't played the Void Shadows DLC, I highly recommend it. Kibellah is awesome, and the Bladedancer archetype is SO much fun to play. (Yes, I'm running a party that's 1/3rd Bladedancer Assassins. Surprisingly, it works really well. They are VERY efficient little murder machines.)

Also: Hey y’all we recently passed 36k words for The Present is a Gift! That’s about 100 pages my guys. After scrapping a few ill-fitting chapters, I’m at about 66.6% of the way done with writing the rough draft of the fic. I’m having lots of fun with it and am hoping to make some teaser comics soon!

Here's a kind of experimental lineless A.B.A from memory to keep up the good habits of this blog. Then I got carried away and did some creative writing that you can read under the cut if you'd like. It can be interpreted as the picture's context, or as an unrelated scenario.

Warning for a homunculus with shitty bad mental health:

"A.B.A stood there, in the middle of the cold night, seen by... who cares? as she stared at the broken window of that room, which had once been her prison, her flask, so to speak.

Even though it had now been years since her great escape, the location could nowadays elicit the same strong feelings as it did on day one, though that wasn't shown in her outward expression: seemingly fully blank, aside from a flicker in her eyes.

That room was still invisibly asphyxiating, still like if its walls murmured to her again that, were anything to happen to her... No one would care. And that statement had something that broke her, and it wasn't just due to its cruel face-value.

Think about it; being the way she was created, her biggest virtue was being able to excel human limitations: she could come out unscathed from almost any wound if blood was abundant, and was effectively able to give senescence the middle finger.

But here she was, hurting from the sight of an empty room, that, logically speaking, posed no more chagrin or danger. So, she mentally wasn't able to completely excel humans, as from what she knew, even they must have surely thought of this behaviour as weak and deranged. If we were so kind, a mistake-a shortcoming of the mind.

If these sorts of shortcomings kept piling up... Then what was even that she excelled at?
