And I'm glad to hear you're doing well!

I'm also doing pretty well!! It's almost the end of the semester, so I'm kinda-sorta drowning in assignments, but it's fine. I'll live. (Though I do know more about feline teeth and skulls than I ever thought I would need to know.) On Tuesday I get to finally go home and see my cats again, even if it's only briefly before I come back for one more week, and then home for winter break. (A whole month!!!!!!)

I'm still obsessing over my own dnd characters, and I'm now in 5 campaigns, though the most I'd ever play in one week is 4, unless my friday group does a split session between our two campaigns.

I've also been obsessing over Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous again, and I'm super duper hopeful they fix the bug that's making me stuck soon, bc I don't wanna risk fucking up my save with a cheat mod to fix it, but I also really really want to finish the game by December 31st so I can say I finished it twice in one year. (I started playing on Jan 1st of this year.)

After that, might play a Divinity: Original 2 save, either solo or with my friend who's gotten super into it this past week.

I've got a stack of WIP renders in various states of completion, so I'd love to get some of those finished up over winter break.

I've always found the aesthetics of fairies kind of boring, unless you were going for like, an unsettling, uncanny, potentially horror-adjacent, fucked-up ancient fey vibe, so I was very surprised when my hands clicked on the fairy wings in CAS. But the sim is decently pretty, so I guess I can't be too mad about it.

i am not a woman, i'm a god - redux

I'd already been working on tweaking my old Areelu sim for a few days, but then @strangegrapefruit posted these ritual horns, and I instantly knew they were perfect for her. So behold the new and improved Architect of the Worldwound.

As you can tell, these horns are much more accurate than the other ones I had on her. Still not perfect, but better. And I also added arm tattoos (not exact, but the best I had), rings (recolored just for her), bracelet, bracer, and belt accessories. I also added her wound (purple "scar"). I know it's on the wrong side, it's fine. Oh, and I recolored this dress for her.

The World

upright: achievement, sense of belonging reversed: lack of closure, emptiness

So, Zara finally got a tarot card, just in time for her official introduction in the campaign in a few weeks. It's wild to think that she's existed as a character for almost 1.5 years now, and that Rook still hasn't met her. (I mean, for him, it's been 3 years since he last saw her, so...)

The World card is super fitting for Zara, and I'm honestly shocked it took me this long to figure out what card to use for her?? Now that I look at it, there's not really any other card that fits for her.

The upright meanings (achievement, completion, sense of belonging, fulfillment, etc.) are all very fitting for her role in Rook's life prior to his (first) kidnapping by Wolf. The Tide Breaker was the first place Rook ever felt at home, and Zara was the first person to make him feel like his existence mattered, that he wasn't the good-for-nothing bastard his father always said he was.

The reversed meanings (lack of closure, feeling incomplete, emptiness) are fitting for her absence from Rook's life. He never got a chance to even say goodbye to her before he was captured, and that lack of closure has haunted him for years.

I don't know anything about her backstory (to be revealed soon), but the DM told me, after I picked the card, that it's super fitting to her backstory, too.

Some fun little tidbits of symbolism because I'm proud of them:

She's the mayor of a port city and a former sea captain. Of course she has maps of the continents/oceans around.

I placed her in the center of the map because she was the center of Rook's world for the six years he sailed with her.

On her left are things that symbolize her past (a spyglass, and scales to represent Wolf), and on her right are things related to her present (a ledger and a bag of coins).

The contrast between the worn-down walls and rug and the fancy desk is a nod to how Xen (the city she controls) looks lovely until you get to look a little closer, and then the flaws start to become more apparent.
