i had an idea that since the collector seems to be in his night themed pjs because he was 'asleep' for so long, his daywear is daytime themed and way more elaborate (to his constant ire). if forced to wear his dayclothes (which he will do willingly on occasion but a verrry rare one) he will slowly shed garmets throughout the day until he's in his undies. you can often track him based on what clothes are lying around on a formal day. also i personally picture him as 3-5 years old in appearance, sort of a cherubic toddler look.

Finally trying my hand at illustrating the several pages worth of headcanons I have for these guys- (Nerding session alert)

I like to think of Star Children as very similar to stars in a physiological level. They're basically nuclear fusion reactors shaped like people, with an extremely dense (and hot, VERY hot) core that generates and burns energy at the same rate, resulting in their self-sufficiency and immortality.

In order to talk with one another in the vacuum of space, star folk use bursts of light and radio waves, which they create by changing their core's electromagnetic fields.

Their written language is possible to learn, but their spoken language is a mixture of waves, heat and gestures that a human cannot detect without equipment. On the other hand, since sound does not propagate in space, they generally do not hear very well.

Though it's usually a voluntary action, it can happen as an instinct/reflex, their "alarm call" is a sudden, sharp, high frequency burst.

I just realized I've never fully shared how I keep track of my plushies and there lore and well its a lot. my plushies are kinda like OC's for me but there stories and personalities kinda write themselves lol I do like to keep physical and digital copies of all the goings on in the little world that they live in. I wanna show you a glimpse of it today maybe it will give you ideas for you're own plush or toys ^.^

I have three notebooks the one on the left is where I put all my plushies information(resident book) down so kinda like a more indepth birth certificate. the one on the right is drafts for ideas, stories, character development that's happened. The one in the middle is new but that's where non drafts go and where the plushies apart of the main cast will have more in depth intros. I do have a town map for them in the spiral bound notebook and in the middle one but that's a story for another day ^.^

I also keep a spreadsheet in case something happens to either notebooks, this Is all the information on each plush so date of birth, last name, occupation, hobbies ect etc

Last but certainly not least is i make pintrest boards for them it mostly for fun but it really helps me get a clear vision of what there personality is like and what the world they live in looks like through there eyes. I use piccrew character makers sometimes as well but the moodboards are my main go to.

I love that Brandon introduces a country of non-Rosharan people, half of whom are some sort of colonial entity and half of whom are just Normal Guys That Change Color and they literally just vibe in the background and everyone ignores them. They appear in a couple interludes and a novella. And one of them wrote the blurbs for each book. Wild shit.

i know i shouldnt dwell on stupid opinions like this but a while ago i saw someone complain that Applin was a boring concept bc its just a worm in an apple and i was FLOORED. this iirc was in response to smth about gen 1 designs being boring as well

its not just a worm its a Wyrm its a pun. that is a concept. maybe you don't like it personally but to say its objectively bad is certainly Something. not every pokemon has to be based on a myth or something else fantastical to be a good concept. you Need "boring" pokemon for the dex to feel complete, if Everything is Cool then nothing is actually cool

"gamefreak is running out of ideas" yeah there's a billion fish pokemon but they're all actually very different to each other, lanturn is an anglerfish and lumineon is a butterfly fish. say what you will abt gamefreak rn its probably warranted but imo the one thing they still do right 100% of the time is unique concepts for each pokemon. the execution can be debated but the fundamentals are always there
