Two comics :p
Little platinum bones and "don't ask" policy in the relationship (everyone is happier not knowing the truth... Maybe when they get older they will talk about it, just not yet :p )

A treat stop
Tumblr media
Context: In my hc/au Archivists (collector is just a term for a late stage of larvae) are form of gods known as world eaters. However, instead of "consuming" matter to keep on existing, they collect living matter and build into their archives(which are just their bodies). I could get in details what exactly collecting and archivising processes is and how it works but there is a great analogy in nature of this process - kleptoplasty(found in some species of sea slugs like sea sheeps). It's very similar to what I imagine collecting is so that is all important info linked with these panels

Collector doesn't play games involving a hider and a seeker with Sirius. It scares them.

Bros doing a boogie in the void
A little gift for @regular-gnome wayfarer belongs to them!
This is my first time animating. I saw a dance on tt trending, so I thought it would work perfectly for them.

Finally trying my hand at illustrating the several pages worth of headcanons I have for these guys- (Nerding session alert)
I like to think of Star Children as very similar to stars in a physiological level. They're basically nuclear fusion reactors shaped like people, with an extremely dense (and hot, VERY hot) core that generates and burns energy at the same rate, resulting in their self-sufficiency and immortality.
In order to talk with one another in the vacuum of space, star folk use bursts of light and radio waves, which they create by changing their core's electromagnetic fields.
Their written language is possible to learn, but their spoken language is a mixture of waves, heat and gestures that a human cannot detect without equipment. On the other hand, since sound does not propagate in space, they generally do not hear very well.
Tumblr media
Though it's usually a voluntary action, it can happen as an instinct/reflex, their "alarm call" is a sudden, sharp, high frequency burst.
Oh, and alsooo

@luonnon-varainen Your tags made my whole week you have NO idea <333
And yes they do! Different wavelengths show, but are not limited to, different emotions and overall physical/mental state.

I'll post more about it once I get more time off ansndkd thanks for reading till the end! Reblogs are greatly appreciated <3

I'm working on a comic. Here's an out of context snippet that looks really bad but is actually pretty funny. That's the Collector screaming btw.

Something I really appreciate about the Owl House is the way designs are used. Like how the inhuman creature with a skull on his head and dark fur is a protagonist whose dad provides one of the main positive driving forces in the show, and is generally cast in a good light, while the star child with an aesthetically pleasing space theme and human shape is a misguided antagonist who comes from a family that seems generally destructive.

Thinking about this scene, actually
Tumblr media
If we’re running with the assumption that the Colelctor is referring to his own tears, this has… interesting implications about their character.
For starters, this isn’t really the first time we see the Collector crying. There’s this scene, after all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But, even though they’re clearly distraught, there aren’t actually any tears. Which is kind of weird, right? A chance at having a real friend is clearly a big deal to them, but still, their eyes are dry.
When do they finally do it, then? During the fight with Belos, when he possesses the Titan and kills Luz. With Titan magic on his hands, the Collector cries tears for the first time.
But that isn’t the last time. The Collector tears up again, after the fight has ended, when Amity reaches out to him.
Tumblr media
And this? This really makes me wonder, because he only actually starts crying after exposure to Titan magic.
We’ve seen that Titan magic is capable of cancelling out the Collector’s. From the Archivists’ genocide, to the Collector’s failing powers, and even the usage of the Light glyph. Titan magic counters Collector magic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We’ve also seen that the Archivists, uh. didn’t really like the Collector. At all. Judging by the Collector’s words, they seemed pretty irritated with him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So, when you’re a powerful magic being with an annoying child on your hands (and a blatant lack of morals), wouldn’t you want to shut them up?
When he’s crying, wouldn’t you make him stop?

Some wips of a Starchild/Collector life cycle chart I did.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And some details:
1: ???
- I haven't given a name to this stage, but tbh I kinda wanna call this one "Stardust Bunnies" as a cute or affectionate term. This is one that is rarely seen, as they usually only exist at the hearts of stars. They can survive without a star but for much, much shorter time than any other stage could because they don't have a true core even formed yet.
2.1: Adult
-Most common, sometimes referred to as a starborn or starforged. They live inside the hearts of their stars until they're fully developed adults and usually have all the necessary knowledge to survive on their own.
-Adults make up the majority of Collectors and usually run collection missions.
2.2: Child
- Born without a star from converging energy, magic and matter produced by different celestial events or bodies that aren't stars. Considered uncommon though whether it's because they die young before imprinting on a star or are simply just more rare hasn't been confirmed yet.
-Their growth rate is entirely determined by how they mature emotionally or mentally.
-Stage of childhood is determined entirely by the amount of energy and magic that created them. The less there was, the younger they appear. Eventually they become full-fledged adults of their species.
-Usually not involved in collecting, but this varies based on each cluster.
3: Elder
- Adults become Elders through natural aging alongside their stars, but they can also reach this stage sooner by absorbing energy or magic from other stars or Starchildren.
-The Elders are the ones in charge of guiding the younger Starchildren and keeping peace within their cluster's territory. They also tend to manage the cluster's Family Archive.
-Act as a sort of backup if the adults cannot handle a situation. If things look dicey for the adults, the elders will step in as their power tends to be much, much greater.
4.1: Ancients
-Occur from a metamorphosis triggered by the death of their star. If the star creates a new one, they'll usually bond with it, but some find different stars entirely. If they bond with a star far from their cluster, they will simply move the new one to their original star's place to stay in the cluster.
-These are Collectors who basically cheat death. They are a sort of demigod presence among their society.
-Can experience a second metamorphosis if the star dies and creates a black hole.
-The primary caregivers to new and young Starchildren in their cluster. They also function as the guardians of their territories and fend off hostile forces, namely rogue Outsiders.
4.2: Outsiders or World Eaters
-Like Ancients, they come from a metamorphosis triggered by the death of their star. If a star collapses into a black hole, a Collector becomes this.
-They have a near insatiable appetite and will eat anything in their paths, including their own family members or their stars.
-Some keep sane by consuming enough energy to stifle the hunger but it is a constant fight. Other Collectors may share power to prevent their sibling from being lost.
-Ancients are the best defense against a World Eater, but a large enough or clever enough group of Elders can handle them if needed.
5: Fading/Deconstruction
-The true death of a Starchild. When their star dies, the residual energy transfers to their core. But when that energy begins to dwindle, they become cold. Their bodies freeze and slowly break apart into ice and dust. It is a long, long process.

What if their partner adored the collector (not in a weird way, in a platonic way obviously). Like they would play as many games as they could with the collector, and just general being around them more than the archivists. How would they react?
They may be a little jealous at the attention going towards their little sibling, but overall they would be like “lmao free babysitter. thanks.” If they ever want your attention, they can just simply summon you.
Knowing they have power over you no matter what helps them feel in control. Considering they slayed an entire race just because said race could cancel out their magic just proves how insecure the archivists are about not being in control.

A break between a bigger project - some Lunar sheets
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This dumbass is too entertaining to draw. A mixture of of orca's mentality and burnout 3rd-year college student flavoured with a godhood is extremely silly to work with
They lost their mind long time ago and is not scared of using it in mischievous ways(commit a crime). They poses the amount of magic to reshape entire solar systems, but they chooses to use it to make shiny wooden sticks and mortals. They rejected violence and wars because it's pathetic and mortalish, but casting the infectious radiation sickness is in their eyes fine and totally not as traumatic as the front-line going through the village. They are so toxic and radioactive(both meanings) that literally their "breath" will send any mortal straight to the hospital on ER. They're have potential to has "a cool aunt" energy but is "a terrible with kids mid-sib" flourish with awkwardness. Also a not greatest god figure - avoiding their followers as much as it's possible is not good trait in the mighty higher being, protector and/or destroyer
A clayish and bendable character, great for puting in random out of context scenarios
Tumblr media
Here is the embodiment of the chaos in my head during the brainstorm which resulted with their character design - just everything at once, no order, no placement just pop-ups everywhere

So Sirius is possessive ya? We’ve seen how Sirius reacts about collector but im curious if Sirius acts differently towards his other siblings. Is he as possessive of them as he is collector? Or is it dialled down more with them?
I'll explain it to low to high
Circe(Low)
They are the most independent out of all the siblings despite being younger than everyone except Collector. They don't have an issue with Sirius possessive traits nor cares as they don't often have those directed at them. But when it does it's usually not as bad and is very tame in comparison.
Ouroboros(Normal)
Ouroboros is complicated. They don't have an opinion on Sirius behavior and accept whatever they are told to do so it makes Sirius's behavior more tame as Ouroboros isn't causing trouble or shift in power (because Sirius has controlling issues being the Head Archivists)
Collector(High)
Is constantly watched by Sirius through magic as he cannot trust Collector to be by themselves or be honest with him about their issues. While he is still respecting their personal space and letting them go out for a few minutes unsupervised, he will track down Collector if they take too long and remind them where they belong.
Borealis(High)
A lot. They have a codependency with each other. They keep each other grounded as much as they can. Borealis rarely or almost never left the Archives because of Sirius protectiveness and him going "I know what's best for you"
